A shadow's tale

Eclipse woke up. She had been married to Jake for 3 months now

And it was hell.

He got a doctor to implant an electric chip into her neck while she was asleep.

I stood in a plain room. Jake next to me.

"okay now you know the drill," he said. Then he pets me on my back. I tensed. This meant to entertain or I will go to bed with injuries tonight.

I nodded, not allowed to speak unless ordered to.

I raised my right front hoof and the room's lighting started to dim.

"good girl. Now. Form a large shadow"

He instructed.

I rolled my eyes. Not liking how he was treating me and as I lower my hoof I felt a stinging pain in my neck.

"gGah!" I yelled. Jake smirked.

"do as your told eclipse"

I sighed and did as I was told.

continued this for the rest of the day and by the end, i was exhausted.

As I got into bed my mind wounded. How was Nova?  And..did she know about ocean's de-...

ocean..that name made my heart throb in pain..she was my filly-hood crush... And then I saw her get murdered...and I did nothing...

As I lay on my side in the darkness I couldn't help but think.

Was it my fault she's dead?

Could I have saved her?

Needless to say, i got no sleep

Well. that's the 3 time this week.

Hopefully, i am able to sleep tomorrow.
