“…” ugh you don’t get it how can I besides what am I to you now but a small pointless trinket I can’t help you with anything now heh not like I could before anyways’ thought Sweetie not seeing her own worth any more as she lets herself drop putting her weight on her sister.
“Sweetie?” asks Rarity as she felt the pendant seem to get heavier and colder.
“But what can I do now except hang around your neck and weigh you down?” asked Sweetie solemnly as she felt her sister’s heartbeat and furry warmth surround her.
“Oh sweetie no there’s lots you can do,” said Rarity reassuringly tightening her embrace listening to her sister's saddened tone as she held her sister close. ’Sweetie you’re not worthless especially to me you couldn’t weigh me down if you tried’ She thought as she tried to think of something she knew would help.
“Humph like what?” Sweetie Said, sour. ‘She can’t even think of anything huh guess I really am worthless’ thought Sweetie bitterly.
"Oh, lots of thing like keeping me company for one” began Rarity trying to think of what her sister could help her with.
“…” Oh sure like that makes a difference’ thought Sweetie annoyed.
"Oh come now Sweetie it’s not all bad” said Rarity trying her best to cheer her sister up worried she was just making things worse as she felt an energy rise within her sister’s new home concerning her more as it grew.
“…” ‘arrgh what does she know about it before now I could barely do any magic but I at least had a body she doesn’t even know how I feel I couldn't even try and do something nice for her without screwing it up heck I couldn’t even lift a broom without struggling and straining myself and I thought I could do something nice for ONCE! All I’ve done is make a mess all I ever do is make messes THAT! ‘she’ has to clean up arrghh I’m just a burden, a useless failure a nascence mngh arrgh why? Can’t I do anything right!?’ she berated herself feeling hot and knighted up inside.
“sweetie… what are you doing darling?” asked Rarity nervously as her breakfast started floating as well as other things looking at the vase as muddy water started floating out of it in various size pools and droplets looking down to see the pendant glowing an amber red an humming an unfriendly feeling coming from it.
“…” but what does it matter now it’s not like I can grow another body! Arrgh but what else is new oh nothing just me sweetie belle who can’t even tell the difference between red and cinnamon! Arrghh mnggh what's the point why’d I even bother coming back in first place? Arrghh humph, ITS POINTLESS IS WHAT IT IS ALL I DO IS COUSE TROUBLE!” ranted Sweetie angrily as she felt hot and cold at the same time.
"Sweetie Belle?!” asked Rarity scared as everything in front of her was floating about haphazardly from silverware to the milk carton as all liquids were behaving as if gravity didn’t exist before her sister responds the energy in the room spiking as everything explodes away from her.
“WHAT? JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!” yelled Sweetie as a fork impaled the ceiling.
“…sniffle gasp sob mnggh auh Swe...swee.tie?” let out Rarity scared as she breaths heavily looking around the room in shock. 'wha' how did she just, was that magic?' She thought, trying to make sense of what had happened before she notices her sister's sobs.
"Sniffle what’s the point! Sob sniffle” cried out Sweetie sniffling as she felt hot and cold at the same time.
“….?”
“Sweetie?” asked Rarity softly a bit nervous.
‘What?!” asked Sweetie bitterly ‘what's it worth’ she thought giving up.
"…um I don’t know… darling, I love you please sigh Sweetie you’re are not worthless not to me you're upset I can't imagine what you’ve been through” began Rarity before deciding to talk seriously as she thought of what to say. “ but please hang in there we’ll figure something out” she continued nervously. “Darling just because you don’t have a body doesn’t mean you cant enjoy the things you used to when you did,” she said reassuringly “Sweetie um sweetie do you want to talk?” she finished asking as she rested her hooves on her sister the pendant still with a light glow.
“…mnggh”‘But what for?’ thought Sweetie groaning.
‘…um alright oh um Sweetie please just talk I’m sure you’ll feel better darling please,” said Rarity hoping her sister hadn’t given up completely.
“…but I’m, sigh ok,” said Sweetie meekly.
“Alight darling I’m sorry I; if I was insensitive I was just so happy to, sigh darling have I ever told you about what my life was like before you came alone?” Rarity Began trying to find the right angle to take things from.
“NO?” answered Sweetie curious.
Well, Sweetie, it was rather bland” said Rarity her sister's tone perking up and drawing a small smile from her.
“…” ‘But I thought sigh it just doesn’t matter’ thought Sweetie solemnly listening.
"Well sweetie before you came I was alone even my friends had their own agendas’ so there were times where I would spend the day in my room toiling with my fabric but it was pointless I just couldn’t get inspired. so as the days pass I grow bored and lonely tell one day I look out my window and I see a filly and what I thought was her mother but then I heard these words ‘you’re the bestest big sister ever’ and I get this feeling warm yet foreran," Began Rarity as she takes a trip down memory lane.
"a few days go by and I’m so lonely I’m practically ill I can’t bring myself to eat and I start having odd dreams, dreams about you sweetie of a little sister of my own. one lonely day mother and father pull me aside they ask me the obvious questions why I wasn’t eating or playing with my friends I tell them the truth I tell them I’m lonely but they don’t understand I have them they say and my friends again I tell them honestly but I’m still lonely and still they don’t understand and neither did I" she continued the memory bringing comfort and warmth.
"finally, its made clear in my sleep as again I dream about you. I wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat. You where being taken from me it's then that I realized what it all meant and I sat there the rest of the night and just listened to my heart pound until I can barely hear it. for the rest of the night a sit in my bed listening to my heart the more I thought about you the more my heart throbbed. When I thought about playing with you my heart fluttered and when I thought about helping you grow my heart skipped. It was then that it was clear I knew exactly what I was missing and what I wanted. The next few days I work up my nerves there was only one way I could get you, a few days later I ask them I ask mom first cause she the one who would have you then I ask father they both avoid it but I don’t give in that easily. said rarity telling her sister something she couldn't remember if she had told her already.
"soon I call a meeting one night and I ask them both directly this time they go on about how there’s more to it than that, that even if they would bring me a sister it would take time but I didn’t care and I told them that I didn’t care I had never been surer of something in my life and hardly ever since. They say they’ll talk about and I couldn’t be more thrilled" she continued feeling warm.
"The following night I can barely sleep I hear my parents talking so I sneak over and eavesdrop I hear them talking about what it would take to rise you and other grown-up things but I’m not as quiet as I had thought I was and mother calls me by my middle name I freeze. I thought for sure I had ruined it I didn’t respond I tried slinking back to my room but she calls again and says she wants to talk with me. I thought for sure I was busted knowing better than push it I submit myself with a silent sulking I trudge my way over to mom’s bedside. She helps me up to snuggle and talk" she said as she held her sister comfortingly.
" I was so nervous I just blurt it out I tell her I’m sorry and beg her not to take you away because I was up past my bedtime that I just couldn’t sleep or stop thinking about you. She and father chuckle at me and mom just said she already knew and that It was fine it was ok. Relieved I ask about you and she says she’ll tell me in the morning before I know it I fast asleep I wake up in mother’s room" said Rarity as a few tears fell from her eyes.
"Rubbing the groggy ness from my eyes I quickly remember the nights prior conversation and rush downstairs. There I find them waiting for me. I’m so excited I nearly fly down the last few steps I find I slept in its the weekend last night was Friday so I had three days where both father and mother would be home. I ask during breakfast and they say yes and I can barely contain myself as I can’t help but bounce around the dining room table but there a catch I freeze cold and my hooves get clammy. I have to be the best big sister I can be and help you grow strong but I also have to do extra chores. I don’t hesitate I make the pact and a few days later mom pulls me aside and shows me this tube and its blue. eleven and a half months later mom has you and it’s the happiest moment of my life I can barely hold myself together and for the first time, I find myself crying and smiling at the same time. Sweetie, you’re here because I want you here” finished Rarity whipping a few tears from her eyes.
“…”
“sweetie?” asks Rarity her sister’s silence worrying her a little.
“sniffle I’m…sob ok,” said Sweetie ‘she asked for me?’ she pondered the thought making her happy as she felt warm again.
“Oh darling it’s alright” soothed Rarity wondering why her sister was still crying.
“I…I LOVE YOU!” Let out Sweetie overwhelmed ‘she asked for me’ she thought filled with joy at it.
“I love you too Sweetie” Responded Rarity as she felt her sister hug her quite firmly feeling her sister’s warmth as the pendant glowed a bright pinkish purple and white
Author's Note
I am feeling satisfied with this story please excuse any grammar as I still don't have a proofreader and can only do so much myself. if you could wait to rate me or if you still do I ask that it not be by grammar nor spelling Grammarly helps but I don't have the full or rather perches version so critical errors as it calls them I cant do much and it's surprising how little word does about proper story literature
