the story takes place season 4 a few months after episode 19 in which the timeline is defused meaning that this story fills a time gap between twilight time and 24 Equestria games.

some episodes may have happened while rarity was isolated and greaving but I'm not that far into the story yet so I might change it.

so continuity ends after twilight time:

sweetie died 9 days after and rarity has been greaving since...

and since I believe that just because the episodes are in order doesn't mean they happened directly after each other so that's the continuity deference.
