"Am I seeing things, or did I just saw you appeared in your seat out of nowhere?" Ember asked him in shock. Moonlight was in shock as well. The last thing he remembered is that he thought to himself that if he can teleport since he was still tired after yesterday's incident.

"I guess I did teleport. Weird." He responded with a puzzled look. He looked at Ember, who was giving him a blank stare.

"Weird?" She said when she levitated closer to him. "You think it's WEIRD!?! This is beyond weird!!" She shouted when her face was close to Moonlight.

Moonlight tries to back down, but then he was handled by Ember's magic aura and a roll of tape levitated from the kitchen and she tied Moonlight in his chair. He was struggling to get out, but with no success.

"Hey, let me go." He said. He keeps struggling until he stopped to take a breather. This made Ember walked towards him in a angry mood.

"How can you, for a pegasus to just teleport out of nowhere then say it's weird? This is beyond our thinking right now." She said in a furious voice. Pacing back and forth.

Moonlight then had an idea. Since he teleported cause he was thinking about teleporting to the dining room. What if he thought of teleporting near the door.

'Let's give it a try then." He thought. Then he started thinking about it. When he opened his eyes, he was at the door. Ember noticed Moonlight's disappearance at the chair he was taped in, then he turned and found Moonlight. Who was about to leave the house.

"Hey!! I'm not done with you yet. Get back here!!" She shouted. Only to be given a smirk from Moonlight before he flew away. This made her more angrier than before, she started galloping after him.

The chase was very long, but it all stopped when Ember was panting for breath for chasing Moonlight all morning. She was about to pass out when she saw Moonlight, who was in the cemetery. He was sitting on his flank, ears lowered to his head near the graves of their mother, Green Ace and their father, Crimson Knight. She walked slowly behind him, then she saw what appeared to be tears falling from Moonlight's eyes. She didn't heard any sobbing but she saw tears falling, then a silence grew on them. It took at least a minute before she walked slowly and put a hoof on the shoulder of Moonlight.

He felt a hoof on his shoulder. When he turned around, he saw Ember not angry or mad but smiling. He was glad to see his sister smiling, it makes him feel better to see his little sister smiling. He smiled back and they both hugged. After another minute, they left the hug and Moonlight was the first to speak.

"It only happened yesterday, but I already missed them." He said in a sad voice.

"Me too, but I know that they wanted us to live the life we wanted. They sacrifice themselves to save us, so we can live longer." Ember said. They both stared on their parents graves for another minute.

"Hey I know! If you want, I can get the picnic basket and make a picnic here with them." Ember suggested with a smile.

"Sure, that's a great idea." He agreed with a small smile.

"I'll be right back." She said before leaving to get the picnic basket.

Ember returned with the picnic basket and set it down.

"I didn't bring the blanket, I rather sit on the grass. You dont mind do you?" She said. Moonlight nodded in agreement and they both took cucumber sandwiches and started eating.

In the castle balcony, Princess Luna was watching Moonlight and Ember through her telescope. Princess Celestia entered the room and greeted her sister.

"You felt it too huh?" Luna asked, still looking through the telescope.

"Yes, what's going on, dear sister?" Celestia said. She look where Luna was looking and she saw Ember and Moonlight sitting on the grass near the graves of their parents. They were both happy and was having a picnic. She smiled, but it didn't last long.

After their picnic,they were laying on the grass. Ember first spoke.

"Hey, i've been meaning to ask you." She said.

"What is it?" Moonlight asked.

"Now that you can use magic, can you teleport the basket back to inside the house?" She asked. Moonlight was puzzled if it's possible.

"I don't know, I only teleport when I thought that I want to teleport and where exactly. Let me try." He said. Moonlight closed his eyes and sighed. Then the basket levitated and it disappeared. He opened his eyes to see the basket. He was confused at first on where it had gone to. Then he saw Ember smiling.

"You did it!" She said. She excitedly lunge at Moonlight and hugged him. He only smiled and returned the hug.

Princess Luna and princess Celestia was shocked of what they saw. Then Luna snapped out of the shock and first spoke.

"Sister, do you know what this means?" She asked. Celestia nodded in agreement and they both flew out of balcony and and towards Moonlight and Ember.

Ok, now that we know you can do magic. Let's try a simple levitating spell." She said. Then a light blue aura covered Ember and suddenly levitated. Moonlight was chuckling at what he did.

"This isn't funny you know." She said.

"Nope, it's hilarious." He replied before laughing. Then he slowly placed Ember back on the ground. They both laughed.

Then Moonlight was sensing two magical energies flying towards them. He turned and looked above, he saw princess Celestia and princess Luna flying towards them. When they landed, Ember and Moonlight bowed.

"You may rise." Luna said. Moonlight and Ember stand up.

"We were sensing some dark magic here." Luna said and look at Moonlight.

"Oh...I...uh..." Moonlight was looking for something to say.

"You might have something to do with it, do you Moonlight?" She asked still staring at Moonlight. "Not only that, I sensed the same dark magical energy before you transformed last night." She added. This made Moonlight shivered in fear.

Celestia stepped up and asked in a calm voice, "How did you do that?"

"I...I don't know. I kinda just think about it and it just do it." He tried to explain.

"I see. But I may know the reason of why it is happening." She said.

"You do?" Ember and Moonlight said in unison.

"What do you mean, sister?" Luna asked.

"Although, you may not know this but, before your father became part of the royal guards. Crimson Knight was using dark magic." She said. Ember and Moonlight was shocked.

"Yes, I have once doubted him. But when I learned he was using dark magic, I wanted to cleansed it out of him." Luna said. "But, he admittedly told us that he was using dark magic and he was ready to give it up." She added.

"And after the chaos magic of Discord struck your parents, Crimson's dark magic may have took some of the chaos from the blast and gave you the magic. That may have been the reason why you transformed into a batpony last night." Celestia continued.

After of what they said, Moonlight thinking about it. He then spoke.

"I can't believe this." He said. "Not only I have dark magic inside me, but it came from my own father." He added.

The two royal sister glanced at each other and nodded. Luna first step up.

"We may have to handle that situation to ourselves.." Luna said. Moonlight turned at Luna.

"How?" He asked.

"I will personally train you in using your new magic for good." She replied. Moonlight glanced at Ember who then nodded at him. He sighed and said.

"I accept your offer, princess Luna." He said. Luna smiled

"Good, we will start tomorrow when the moon rise again." Luna said.

"For now, you two should return to your home now. You must be tired." Celestia said with a smile.

"Ok, princess." Moonlight agreed. "Let's go Ember." He added.

"Coming!" She said.

They both walked back to their home. Luna and Celestia watched them.

"I hope your plan will succeed." Celestia said.

"I hope so, if Moonlight can't contain the dark magic. It could be the end of Equestria." Luna replied with a frown face.

Moonlight and Ember was almost home. When they were about to walk inside, Lox landed near them. He greeted them. His saddlebag is full of tools.

"Ember, Moonlight I'm glad I've found you guys. First of all, I'm very sorry of what happened to your parents." Lox said.

"It's fine." Ember said. Moonlight nodded.

"Okay, second of all, we really need your help. The bandits are back." Lox said.

"Why us? What about the princesses?" Moonlight asked.

"Well, we figured that you stood up to Discord yesterday, you can help." Lox reasoned.

Moonlight noticed the Sun's going down and the moon is about to rise.

"What about the guards?" He asked.

"They're badly injured. These bandits are a lot tougher than they look." Lox replied.

Then Ember had an idea.

"Hey Lox, do you have some inventions that can he used for self defense?" She asked.

"Yeah, sure. But why?" He asked.

"No time to explain, let's go." She said. Grabbing Lox's hoof.

Moonlight head towards his room and when the moon rised. It came back. The pain he felt last night before turning into a batpony. When it was over, he look at his hooves and looked at the mirror. He saw fangs grown, his wings was now a bat wing. He then had an idea.

Ember and Lox were galloping towards where the bandits are. They hid in a bush near the bandits.

"That's a lot of them, sure you can do it?" Lox asked, he was worried for Ember.

"Sure. All I had to do is take them out one by one and-" She was cutted off when she heard a scream.

They both look outside and found out that one by one the bandits were knocked out. The two bandits were afraid and they ran as fast as their legs can carry, but they stopped when they saw a dark figure in front of them, it slowly walk towards them while they both back away.

"W-what are you?" One of the bandits asked frightened. The figure grin and said in a cold voice.

"Call me, the batpony of the night." He said then he flew fast towards them, then grabbed the two of them and throws them towards the other bandits who are starting to wake up. They all knocked themselves. When they stood up, the batpony was still walking towards them. They all screamed and ran out of Canterlot, hoping to not see him again.

Moonlight sighed and thought. 'I guess that's the last time we'll see those bandits again'

Then he heard a rustling in the bushes with his batpony ears. He turned and saw two ponies looking at him. He saw Ember and then he flew up and straight back to their home.

"Whoa, did you see that Ember? Uh...Ember?" Lox was confused that Ember teleported somewhere.

"Oh well, guess I'll go home then." He said to himself. Then he flew back to his home.
