I'm Broken
Prologue: Glowing Eyes
Load Full StoryNext ChapterSpike stared at the window in depression. His green emerald eyes looked on as he seen King Sombra destroying Ponyville. To be totally honest, Spike don't really care about what King Sombra was doing, or how King Sombra was making the ponies scream. Spike didn't really care about much because he had nothing to care for. The only thing he actually cared about was his hatred for King Sombra.
He knew that every time he would think this, it would put him in a negative light, but it wasn't his fault. He literally had nothing to care for.
The ponies that were there were literally annoying, he had no friends, no family, no possessions, King Sombra was really abusive and horrible towards him, mostly emotional abuse, and he had literal no purpose. He was just here because extra weight he had always thought.
Spike finally took his gaze from the window, laying down softly on the messed up bed which the covers were stained with blood. Spike felt the blood on his body didn't bother him, though. As long it was his blood and no pony else's than he wouldn't complain.
Spike then thought about how King Sombra never lost. When Spike tried standing up to Sombra when he was doing physical abuse, he always end up losing.
Sombra has destroyed almost every place in PonyVille, and he would never loose.
Spike knew Sombra was his father and that he was mighty powerful, but he couldn't be the most powerful being on Earth. There has to be somepony who could actually beat Sombra. Just this once.
Right on cue, two alicorns appeared. Were they gods that actually answered him? They looked very powerful and loyal and their wings were very big and impressive. They were also very pretty.
Spike's eyes looked on.
Despite that he didn't care about PonyVille or the people in it, he finally want to see Sombra loose. He saw glowing light beams beyond his eyes, waiting to see Sombra disappear into smoke or dust or whatever.
Sombra looked like he was actually in pain, he looked like he was actually suffering, looking like he was actually going to die.
Spike waited for Sombra to die. His emerald eyes waited in desperation. Sombra , however, didn't disappear like it would end some type of pain, but no. Sombra decided to fight back.
Sombra's attacks were powerful. The two alicorns looked mighty weak and hurt and bruised and Spike could literally feel the fear that the two alicorns were feeling. Fear than automatically turned into anger.
Sombra was going to win. AGAIN!
Spike couldn't take this anymore. A low growl escaped his mouth. Spike's eyes turned completely green, fists clenching at his sides. Spike felt his feet a few inches from the ground. Spike wasn't actually in control, but he does want to see Sombra burn in agony.
Spike, however, didn't see feel himself flying outside. He didn't feel himself flying towards Sombra. And he definitely didn't feel himself blasting Sombra with his glowing green eyes.
Sombra did scream, but the green blast didn't stop him nor weaken him. Instead, Sombra smirked widely directly at Spike.
"Finally came to fight, hu Spike?"
Spike didn't answer Sombra. He was too angry to do so.
Sombra smirked even bigger at Spike, thinking that he either broke Spike or he had literally taught him well.
Sombra than blasted Spike with all he had. Spike felt his energy being blasted into his heart. The white energy had weaken him, and his heart was slowing down. Spike fell to his knees and Sombra followed suit.
Sombra's hoof touched Spike's chin and
Sombra's bloodshot eyes stared down at Spike's emerald eyes, which weren't glowing any more. "Good, Sombra said, placing Spike's body deep in the dirt, "but not good enough ".
Spike cried in the dirt. "P.... please.... st.... stop...."
Sombra frowned at Spike's behavior. "Begging my dear Spike?" Sombra's hoof was behind Spike's head, forcing the young dragons deeper into the dirt. "I thought I taught you not to beg... EVER!"
Spike crying didn't cease. Sombra doesn't want the young dragon to cry ever. Sombra, despite being the young dragon's father, doesn't know much about Spike.
Sombra did know Spike's biggest weakness.
His anger.
Sombra loosened his grip on Spike's head. He didn't let go of it, but tried not to be too rough on him.
"Spike, I know you came out here to beat me to protect PonyVille "
Spike narrowed his eyes. "Are you playing stupid? You know I don't like PonyVille nor the people in it!"
Sombra smirked. "Than why did you came out here to fight me?"
"I'm tired of you always winning! Always beating people to the to the ground! ALWAYS HURTING ME!" Spike yelled.
Sombra smirked. 'Spike is close to losing it. Close, but not enough'.
"You wanna know why I'm always winning? That's because you're always loosing. But that's your job. You know why it's your job? Because your a loser"
Sombra felt Spike shaking with anger. "Shut up!"
"Your a weak, worthless, piece of crap! You don't have the right to tell me anything!"
Sombra forced Spike's head from dirt. Sombra's hoof touched Spike's chin so Spike could meet his gaze. Spike looked very angry , but not furious.
'Exploit it'.
Sombra smirked. "Don't get angry Spikey Wikey" Sombra said mockingly.
Spike narrowed his eyes. "Don't call me that "
"Not getting mad, are you Spikey? Both of us know that your anger can...... cause trouble "
Spike narrowed his eyes, a growl escaping his mouth. "You know nothing about me. My anger is under control "
Sombra smirked. "Oh really? Remember when you was so angry at your mother, and you...."
Spike held his head in pain. "No.... STOP!
'He knows what I'm talking about'.
"Your eyes were filled with anger and lighting....."
"STOP....!"
...."The air filled with fire and smoke......"
"SHUT UP!"
"Your fists consuming fire and lighting......"
"STOP IT!"
"Death were in your eyes...."
"STOP IT STOP IT!"
"You did it. You killed your mother. It was over and it was your fault....."
"STOP IT STOP IT STOP IT!"
"What's the matter Spike? Finally realizing that you don't need to exist? Finally realizing that you could be wrose than me? Finally realizing what kind of a MONSTER your truly are?"
Spike's eyes went ablaze. Instead of emerald green, they were firey red. Sombra backed away with a smirk across his face.
