"Remember what you seen in the door, Spike?" He asked mockingly. Spike just stared at him angrily, tears burning his eyes.

"Remember how you felt Twilight would actually leave you"

"Shu... Shut up...."

"Weak and pathetic aren't you Spike? Hm. Not surprised at all. You are a worthless piece of nothing anyways "

Spike narrowed his eyes, teeth clenching, eyes turning firey red.
"Good job. You found his weakness. Exploit it"

Spike never really cared for Ponyville or the ponies in it, until he was given to Twilight and met the other ponies- Elements of Harmony. When he defeated King Sombra again at the Crystal Empire by saving the Crystal Ponies, Sombra makes it his duty to destroy Ponyville with the help of a pony Spike doesn't recognize. But.... maybe Spike is like his father King Sombra.
