Trip To Everfree

We now return to the Transformers...

The next morning back in the small town of Canterlot was a much more bright and sunny day. The sun shined over the town, casting a few shadows.

And outside of one house were two vehicles. One was a 1945 blue dune buggy, and the other car was a Series III land rover. And from those cars, there was a girl who chose to ride in each one. Both of them approached the front door of the house they were parked at, and rang the doorbell. Both of them eagerly stood, waiting for a response.

Soon enough the door was answered by Fluttershy, wearing green shorts and a white tank top.

"Morning Sunny, morning Lemon," Fluttershy said with a friendly smile.

Both Shadowbolt girls gave friendly smiles back. Lemon Zest was now wearing a pink tank top with a graphic of lemon slices on it, yellow short shorts, and sneakers. And as another note, her hair was now styled a little differently than before. A bunch of her hair was now puffed onto one side all spiked up. Sunny Flare now wore purple shorts, and a pink T-shirt with a graphic of a partly cloudy graphic on it. And she wore black boots.

"Good morning dearie, are you about ready to go?" Sunny asked.

Fluttershy nodded, "Let me just get a few more things and Bumblebee and I will pull out with you two."

Lemon grinned, "Sweet dude. Then lets go!"

Lemon raced back into Beachcomber and buckled herself into the driver seat. And on the seat next to her, there was Blaster who was in his radio cassette player form, buckled up.

Sunny Flare then walked over to Outback who was still in vehicular mode. Outback opened up the door for her, and she sat down and buckled up in the driver seat.

The two cars waited, and then they saw Bumblebee and Fluttershy walk out the front door and walk to a parking space. Bumblebee then converted into vehicle mode, and allowed Fluttershy to step in and buckle her seatbelt.

Beachcomber and Outback started their engines and they began to pull out of the driveway and onto the road. Both of their engines roared and soon they left the house that Fluttershy lived in.

Beachcomber used his rearview mirror to look behind and quickly came to a halt, along with Outback. Both of the cars reversed back to Fluttershy's to see Bumblebee was just... sitting there. No engine was heard, no revving, nothing. He just sat there parked.

"Uh, Bumblebee? Are you coming?" Beachcomber asked.

Silence was all that was given to the cars. This wasn't good.

"Bumblebee, are you alright?" Fluttershy asked.

Bumblebee sighed, "Fluttershy, are you sure this will be okay? For all I know Wasp could still be out there," Bumblebee said with worry.

"Bumblebee, its okay. Optimus said you needed time off from the war, and you're taking today off," Fluttershy said, her warm hand touching the steering wheel.

"But what if he does find us? If Wasp did anything to you or any of you guys I... I don't know what I'd do. I can't lose any of you..." Bumblebee said.

The other two Autobots that were parked felt bad for Bumblebee. They knew how stressed he was about the Decepticon arriving on Earth, but he had to go with them. He had to clear his head, he had to get out of the war for a bit.

"Bee, its okay. We're all here to give you protection. Think of the three of us as your personal bodyguards," Blaster said.

"Blaster's right. I think you should take advantage of today, you're getting some time off from the battlefield to relax and enjoy the scenic view of nature around us," Beachcomber replied.

Bumblebee said nothing. He wanted to argue with them, but they all had raised valid points. So there was no point in trying to argue back. Maybe it would be good to take some time off from the battlefield. And besides, it was a bright and sunny day, and he would be hanging out with Fluttershy. This would be a good weekend.

"You're right. I suppose a weekend out in the woods wouldn't hurt, and besides I've got you guys all with me. But one more thing before we go," Bumblebee said.

"You're not running back inside that house," Outback said.

"... I was going to say did anyone remember the Energon drinks," Bumblebee retorted.

Outback paused, "I did."

"Then lets go!" Bumblebee said with a little excitement in his voice.

Bumblebee's stick shift changed gears, and he began to pull out of the space and onto the road. Soon enough Beachcomber and Outback followed right behind, and the three cars began to drive on their merry way to the Everfree forest.

All throughout the morning, the three Autobots drove on the road, not planning on stopping until they made it over to the Everfree forest for their weekend of relaxation. And luckily for them, there was barely any traffic out on the road, so it meant they were going to arrive on time soon enough.

The three cars drove on by past Applejack's farm, where they made a wave towards her and Ironhide gathering apples. The Autobots just stood for a moment, and said their hellos and goodbyes, and drove back off again.

As time went on, they were leaving the big city behind, and were making their way to their destination.

Inside of Beachcomber's GPS map, displayed an overhead view of a map that showed Autobot icons on the screen that were growing closer to their destination.

"Autobots, we're getting closer to our destination spot. Just a few miles ahead," Beachcomber said.

Lemon grinned as she saw they were getting closer. Just a few miles and then she could finally get out and stretch her legs.

The three Autobots pulled up to the small little parking area which was mostly made of small stones and a few lines that were marked in white paint and logs to gesture to spots to pull up into.

The three Autobots parked, and they waited for the girls to leave their vehicle forms before they transform. That'd easily take them by surprise, or worse, that'd crush them inside of their bodies. Once the girls were out of the seats of the Autobots and had collected their things, the Autobots transformed into their vehicle forms.

"Ah... finally I can move my feet. I think they just locked up in the car ride," Lemon said, stretching her arms and legs.

Outback was seen doing some stretching as well, "I can agree with you Lemon. I'm just glad I can get some of this junk out of me, I feel bloated."

"Outback, you're still the same Autobot I know, you look perfect," Sunny said with a smile.

Outback blushed slightly, "You think so?"

Sunny nodded.

"Thanks Sunny. Well then, lets not dilly or dally, shall we find ourselves a camping spot?"

"Race you there!" Lemon said as she began a running start down into the forest.

"No way, two can play!" Blaster grinned as he raced after Lemon.

Bumblebee just chuckled, "Come on, we better stop them before they disturb any of the wildlife."

Bumblebee lead the group down as he began a walk into the paved dirt into the forest. Fluttershy caught up with Bumblebee and walked by his side, while Outback and Sunny Flare walked right behind, and Beachcomber followed behind them.

As they began to walk, Bumblebee and Fluttershy looked around them to see the sights that were near. It was absolutely breathtaking. There was the sound of crickets and birds chirping, the sun was shining bright in the sky, and around them they could see all kinds of flowers blooming. There were insects seen on some of the plants, and every once in a while there would be an animal that would cross their path.

"Isn't it beautiful?" Fluttershy said.

Bumblebee gave a warm smile, "It is. This place is amazing. I kind of wish I knew a place like this existed, I would have come here more often. Definitely a place to go to clear my head."

Bumblebee's smile brought warmth to Fluttershy's heart. It was nice to see Bumblebee was actually enjoying himself, and he didn't look at stressed as he was before.

The group had to cut through some more trees and bushes along the way, and eventually found the camping grounds, and Blaster and Lemon had already claimed a spot for them. But they weren't focusing on them. Their eyes were gazing around the camping grounds. There was a giant lake made for sailing on, along with a small dock, with a few boats hooked to it. There were some cabins for them to sleep in, plenty of picnic tables, and a few hiking paths made right through parts of the woods.

The group couldn't believe their eyes, it was just breathtaking. The sights, the sounds, the calmness, it was just perfect. The Autobots had been in the war for so long that what they were seeing was so new to them.

"Oh my, its paradise..." Beachcomber smiled as he took a few steps to look around him. Everything around him was pure heaven for him. A weekend without war or fighting was something he always dreamed about, and he desperately wanted it, and now it was all right in front of him.

"Enjoying the view Beachcomber?" Bumblebee asked.

Beachcomber nodded, "This is pure heaven. Its my kind of place..."

Fluttershy giggled, "I didn't know you liked nature."

Beachcomber turned around to look at Fluttershy and Bumblebee, still keeping his smile.

"War isn't really my thing, I'm a pacifist. All my life I've wanted to get away from war and destruction, and now its all right in front of me..." Beachcomber said, spreading his arms out.

"I didn't know you hated fighting," Sunny Flare said with curiosity.

Beachcomber nodded, "I absolutely cannot stand the war. Part of the time I was in it, I just wanted to leave and never return back to Cybertron."

"But how come you didn't?" Fluttershy asked.

Beachcomber sighed, "As much as I don't want to fight, the Autobots are all I've got to a family, and I couldn't just leave them to become hurt by any more of the Decepticons violence and destruction."

The others looked around with some concern on their faces. They all knew how Beachcomber felt about war and destruction, and quite frankly they all shared the same thoughts on it as well. But this was their time away from war, and they could take it.

Beachcomber looked to see Fluttershy patting his shoulder. Since he was a mini-bot, he was roughly around the size of the humans, making the ability to face to face with them possible.

"Its okay. We're far from the war, and we've got plenty of time out here," Fluttershy said.

"Now how about we set up in a cabin and then we can find ourselves a picnic table?" Bumblebee offered.

Beachcomber nodded, and followed the group to go find the people running the camp grounds so they could find a spot for them to rent out.

But little did they know that they were watched by a pair of eyes that were gazing from a bush that stared at them menacingly. Its red glow stared deep into their sparks and hissed.

"Autobots..."

The figure's vision turned into a grid like pattern vision as he looked at them, and soon a few scans began running up and down on each of the four Autobots. And with each one scanned, a full 360 display of their bodies were shown into his vision as he identified each one of them.

"Don't bother trying to find Wasp... if you do, then you will all perish..."

The Transformers will return after these messages...
