A Day At The Everfree

We now return to the Transformers...

The group was enjoying their stay at the Everfree. It was one of the most relaxing times they've had in years. Everything was just so peaceful and relaxing to them, they couldn't help but enjoy themselves. The views, the calmness, the sounds of the forest and the water splashing in the lake, it was all too good.

They began their relaxing by going out onto a few sailboats, and sailing out onto the lake. The girls all had their life vests on and strapped tightly, while the Autobots could easily sit on the boats without them. They didn't need them since they could swim easily out in the water.

"Where's big Beach?" Lemon asked.

"He's uh... swimming," Sunny giggled.

Lemon gazed over the boat, and sure enough she saw the sun shining on a blue and white Autobot swimming in the water, passing by some fish that were swimming in it. Beachcomber gazed back up at Lemon watching him for a second, and continued on swimming. Lemon just giggled, watching the small Autobot swim underneath them.

Right behind their boats, Bumblebee and Fluttershy sat rowing a boat on their own without a sail.

"How did you learn to row one of these things?" Bumblebee asked, swaying his arms in a rowing motion using the oars.

"I went out to this spot a lot during the summertime," Fluttershy said, rowing in a perfect sync with Bumblebee.

Bumblebee kept on rowing, but stopped when he saw Beachcomber stick his head up from out of the water. Bumblebee just laughed.

"Having a nice swim?" Bumblebee asked.

"Absolutely. You should try it Bee," Beachcomber said.

"Uh, no thanks, I don't really swim."

A devious grin came over Beachcomber's face, and Bumblebee's eyes widened.

"Oh no..."

Beachcomber grabbed ahold of Bumblebee and pulled him into the water, off the boat. But because of how strong his grip was, it flipped the boat upside down throwing Fluttershy into the water as well, making a big splash.

The others looked back to see some of their friends poking their heads out of the water.

"Dah!" Bumblebee gasped, coughing from the water. "Fluttershy! You okay?"

Fluttershy nodded and gave a thumbs up, making Bumblebee sigh in relief. In a fit of anger, Bumblebee splashed water in Beach's face.

"Don't do that, she could have drowned! Or worse, you could have killed her!" Bumblebee said with anger.

"Uh, Bumblebee, I actually can swim..." Fluttershy said.

Bumblebee looked back at Fluttershy, "You can?"

Fluttershy nodded, making Bumblebee sigh in relief again. He wasn't thrilled to be tossed into the water, but he was glad to hear that Fluttershy was able to survive being out in the water.

Off to the side, Bumblebee could see Lemon and Blaster chuckling a bit, making Bumblebee snarl.

"You find something funny?" Bumblebee huffed.

Lemon snickered, "Yep."

Bumblebee and Beachcomber looked at each other for a moment, and both of them shared devious grins. They knew just what they were gonna do to them...

The two of them moved themselves closer to the sailboat the others were on, still carrying devious grins. Bumblebee threw his arm into the boat, grabbing onto Blaster's hand, and Bumblebee dragged Blaster off the boat into the water.

"Whoa, ah!" Blaster screeched.

Lemon chuckled, "Hang on, I'm joining you!"

Lemon just stood on the edge of the boat and dived in with them. She had always enjoyed the water, and she took advantage of this time to jump and swim with them. She began swimming with them, rising her hair up out of the water, all flat and limp from the water splashed into it.

Outback just chuckled to see them getting thrown into the water.

"Oh you think its funny, lets get you in as well!" Blaster said.

Outback's visor widened as he was taken by surprise. Blaster grabbed him by the arm, and Outback was thrown off the boat, and was tossed into the water as well, making a big splash.

"Is this really necessary?" Sunny flinched from the water splashing onto the boat.

"Aw, come on Sunny! Lighten up!" Lemon said, splashing water onto her.

Sunny froze when the water hit her, and her eyes winced to a glare, making Fluttershy and Bumblebee's lips droop.

"Uh oh..." Bumblebee and Fluttershy said in unison.

"It. Is. On." Sunny snarled.

She immediately jumped off the boat and tackled Lemon Zest in the water, splashing some more onto the others.

Two hours went by until everyone stopped having a splash fight. They had just about enough of being drenched and cold in the water. So once they calmed down they pulled themselves back onto the boats, and rowed back to the dock so they could get themselves dried off and so the girls could get some fresh clothes that weren't cold and wet.

Eventually everyone got off the docks, and walked back to their cabin, still dripping with water, leaving a trail of it right behind them.

Later Bumblebee and the group began walking together into the woods following a hiking trail. And now the girls were all dry and warm instead of cold and wet.

Their feet slapped against the ground as they walked around and basked in the nature of the forest, taking in its calm peace and beauty. And not only did their feet slap among the ground, but several leaves also crunched when they stepped on them.

"Look at all of this. It looks like that jungle Strongarm and I wandered through when we were trying to find Springload. Only this is much more relaxing," Bumblebee said.

"Oh and that reminds me, how are the new cadets doing? Strongarm and Tracks I mean?"

The others all gave mixed responses. But one response that definitely clear was that they weren't entirely sure what to think. Training them to adapt on Earth was very difficult.

"It... could be better," Outback said.

"The problem is they can't trust each other since they're always fighting," Blaster said.

"Both of them have been doing that nonstop ever since we've met them officially," Beachcomber said, "Its beginning to look tiresome."

"I mean seriously, its starting to become old I've literally left the base a bunch of times just to avoid them," Outback said.

"Now hold on Outback," Sunny raised a hand, "You and Pipe's crew, along with my Bumblebee's brother Goldbug and Arcee are all new here on this planet. How come none of you have been fighting?"

"Well we get along with each other well. Besides, we've all been more interested in learning about this world. Pipes is an Earth enthusiast now," Outback replied.

As they kept on talking, Bumblebee and Fluttershy got caught up in their own conversation.

"You're looking much better than you were yesterday. Are you okay?" Fluttershy asked.

Bumblebee smiled, "I am. This is one of the most fun times I've had in a long time. You're right. Its good to just relax and hang out with friends and every now and then. And this weekend was definitely worth it."

Fluttershy gave a smile back. She was glad Bumblebee was finally calming down from all of the stress he had endured from seeing Wasp.

The group came to a halt when they looked ahead. There they saw a little fawn standing in place, looking at them.

"Don't. Move. A. Muscle," Bumblebee said.

The deer stood, looking at them. It moved a little closer, hooves slapping against the ground, looking right at them. It made no sounds, or noise whatsoever. The deer just looked, and then ran off into the woods, leaping about.

"Fascinating..." Sunny said.

Sunny's attention was turned to hear Lemon giggling.

"What's so funny?" Sunny asked.

Lemon gestured to Bumblebee in front of them. Sunny turned around and she let out a few giggles herself. Bumblebee right in front of them had his arms out and several birds came flying in and were sitting on his arms. Fluttershy even let out a few giggles herself.

"Someone's got some new friends," Sunny said, jokingly.

Bumblebee even let out a few laughs himself.

"Well Beachcomber's got a new friend too," Bumblebee said.

Everyone glanced back at Beachcomber who was staring at a bird that landed on his shoulder.

"Hm... lets see if I can learn your language..." Beachcomber said, scratching his chin.

The bird just sat there, and it made a few chirps and calls, still standing and staring right at Beachcomber's white visor eyes.

"Hm... now how do I say, 'its a beautiful day?'" Beachcomber pondered.

Fluttershy and the other girls let out some giggles, it was pretty funny watching an Autobot their size talking to a bird. This gave Bumblebee a bit of an idea.

"You know Beachcomber, I think you'd do great at the animal shelter Fluttershy works at. I help volunteer to take care of the animals there," Bumblebee said.

Beachcomber's visor widened, and he slowly turned to face them.

"There is? I didn't even know something like that was there," Beachcomber said.

"There is," Bumblebee nodded.

Beachcomber looked back towards the woods, questioning why he didn't think of that before. While he didn't really show what he was thinking, he spewed out one single word.

"Fascinating..."

The group just let out another laugh, and they continued on walking through the forest. All the while Beachcomber kept attracting more animals near his bright blue and white body.

At the end of the day, everyone had gathered back at the cabin to eat their dinner. They were all exhausted and tired from a long day, but now it was time for them to sit down and eat. Well, all except for two of them came to eat...

"Are Fluttershy and Bumblebee ever gonna stop staring off into the sunset?" Lemon asked as she looked out the window.

"Oh give them their time, they two need it," Beachcomber said, working on the stove in their kitchen. Beachcomber flipped another patty, and then continued to press it with the cooking utensil.

"Is it done yet?" Lemon whined.

"Almost..." Beachcomber said, before making one last flip, "Okay its done."

Beachcomber walked over to the table, holding a paper plate that had all of the patty's on it. Once he set it down, the two girls grabbed what they wanted off the plate and put it on their own. The other Autobots sat at the table too, and on plates they pulled out were some mini Energon cubes they cut up.

"So please, catch me up. How's school at Crystal Prep now that Principal Cinch is no longer running it?" Beachcomber asked.

"Actually, its become better now that she's no longer running it. Dean Cadence is running the school, and she made changes on all of the rules to make us live our lives better," Sunny said.

"How so?" Beachcomber raised a brow, as he took a bite of some of the Energon.

"For one, we don't need to wear those uniforms anymore and we can wear what we want now," Sunny began, "I haven't seen Lemon that happy in a long time."

Lemon grinned and winked.

"And Dean Cadence cut down out all of the restrictions and tight rules, so now we feel more at home at the school than ever before," Sunny replied.

Blaster and Outback gave confirming nods and big grins.

"And everyone's more friendly with each other now! I've been able to talk to girls now, and none of them pushed me away knowing about my... uh... you know," Lemon blushed.

Blaster nodded.

"I fail to understand," Beachcomber said.

"We'll explain later," Outback said, raising a hand. "But I should say this. Now that they've changed the rules, they allowed us to roam around the school as Autobot guardians, especially since we're now guardians of those five girls."

Lemon chuckled a bit, "You should have seen the look on Neon's face when Blaster revealed himself right in the music room."

"How did that happen?" Outback said.

"Let me explain. So I was practicing my guitar..."

Meanwhile outside of the cabin, Bumblebee and Fluttershy were sitting together on the edge of the dock, staring off into the sunset. The sun was getting closer to going off into another part of the sky, making it darker and the sky colored in orange.

Both of them stayed in silence, while their feet kept on swaying back and forth, while their arms were arched behind, holding them up as they stared off into the lake and the orange sun.

Bumblebee was lost in his own thoughts. He had never been so relaxed, so calm, so with himself ever since he met Fluttershy. Ever since he had been with her, and spent his time with her, his stress with the war and living on Earth was slowly fading away. All because she was there right by his side. His best friend, right there with him.

Fluttershy could tell Bumblebee was at peace with himself, seeing the calming smile on his face. She never seen any Autobot so calm like this before, it made her heart melt inside.

But as Fluttershy gaze back out ahead, her attention was pulled back to Bumblebee to hear him speak.

"Fluttershy?"

"Yes Bumblebee?" Fluttershy asked.

Bumblebee gave a warm smile, and it almost looked like happy tears formed in his eyes.

"Thank you. Because of you, I haven't had this much fun in a long time. And because of you, I'm not worried about Wasp. I'm only focused on you, and all of this around us."

Fluttershy blushed, "Really?

Bumblebee nodded.

"Bumblebee I... I don't know what to say," Fluttershy said.

Bumblebee pulled Fluttershy in for a hug, and patted her back. Fluttershy just patted his in return. There was no stress, no signs of horror or trauma to be seen. He was finally at peace. And the only sounds Fluttershy could hear, were the sounds of the water splashing, and the single whisper from Bumblebee.

"Thank you..."

The two hugged for the longest time, and their friends watched. Their friend finally relieved of his stress, and he earned it.

The night was entirely peaceful, and everyone was already asleep. And the only sound to be heard was the night creatures out and about. There was owls hooting as they sat on the trees, and lots of tiny green crickets chirping on the plants. The full moon illuminated the land around, and the stars glittered the night sky.

But little would anyone know, that the night wouldn't be peaceful at all...

Over in the cabin where the group was staying in, the girls were all safely tucked away in their beds, and even the Autobots found some resting spots as well. As for Blaster, he just fell asleep in his radio cassette player form and just sat on one of the tables in the cabin. The entire cabin was silent.

Until the sound of disturbing hissing was heard outside. Now the sound didn't awaken any of the people living inside of the cabin, but someone was awaken. Blaster's cassette player opened up, and a golden cassette tape ejected out and transformed into a golden Autobot lion.

Steeljaw tip-toed his way around the cabin, trying to move himself to the front door without waking up anyone inside. He stood on his hind legs, as he pulled himself up and used one of his front paws to unlock the door and turn the handle. Once it was unlocked, he slowly pulled it open which made an ungodly creaking noise.

Steeljaw froze and slowly turned his head to see if anyone was awakened by the loud creek of the wooden door. No one was alarmed, good. He didn't want anyone awakened. So the golden titanium lion slowly walked out of the cabin and closed the door shut with the smallest amount of noise he could make. It was difficult to not make noise since he was just a mechanical lion.

Once he was out, he began walking out in the woods, blue eyes glowing in the darkness of the night. He walked along the dirt, and began sniffing around the area, seeing for anything suspicious or strange that he had heard. What could be out at this time of the night?

Steeljaw's ears twitched and tilted up to hear a peculiar hissing noise coming from farther in the woods. It didn't sound particularly good. Should he go alone? Should he wake the others up? On one hand, it would be a good thing to have the others by his side, but on another hand, they needed time to calm down from the fighting. Maybe he'd investigate, and then tell them in the morning. No big deal. Just do a quick sweep, and then go back to the cabin where he'd be safe.

Steeljaw let out a small little snarl, and then began a running leap into the forest not looking behind. As his feet slapped against the dirt and the leaves making tons of crunching noises, he kept swaying his head side to side, looking for the source of the disturbance. On his back, his guns loaded up with energy pellets, and made a whirring noise as they were charged up and ready for action.

Little did he know that he was being watched by a pair of eyes lurking in the forest...

Steeljaw's head looked down to see if there were any tracks to follow, or anything he could find. Sure enough, something was seen on the ground. He found a bizarre trail of footprints. But they weren't any footprints that he had seen before. These were small little circle indentations on the ground. Something wasn't right here. No creature they knew made these very small footprints. Especially those of Earth animals. But what?

Steeljaw sniffed some more and continued to follow the scent. However he frozen when he heard more snarling and hissing from the trees. Something had been watching him...

Steeljaw growled when he heard the hissing at him. Who was it? And whoever it was, didn't sound friendly.

The figure watched from the trees, and its slender black hand pushed some branches out of the way as it spied on Steeljaw, eyes glowing in the darkness.

"Its time to die..."

Steeljaw growled some more and turned around to gaze into the location the source was coming from and snarled some more. He readied his weapons to fire, but at that moment, the figure charged at him and all lights went out on his circuitry. And no one heard him whine or scream when he was attacked.

No even saw a strange being dragging his knocked out body across the soft dirt, going further and further into the forest...

The Transformers will return after these messages...
