Finding Freedom
Chapter 4
Previous ChapterNext ChapterI walked into the boutique not even thinking of the horrible trap I was walking into. Rarity was a siren that had lured me to her lair. I had no idea of the mistake I just made, but if I didn't do something then I would soon find out. Rarity walked into the center of the main room and turned to face me.
She immediately started giving me commands. "Now darling i need you to take off those horrible rags, and I will hand you something to model for me. If I find something that really suits you, you can keep it".
That was when I realized the trouble I was in. I was now stuck modeling for who knows how long. I needed to find an escape, how the hell did I get into this mess? I would need a distraction and fast. It didn't come, but Rarity did (I see what you did thar!) with an outfit. It looked sort of like a white tux.
"Now just take off your clothes darling."
I had to run that command a few times through my head. As a master of all things logical, I was able to predict what exactly would happen next.
"Then I would be naked."
Rarity just gave me a look that said "seriously?"
I remembered that ponies didn't actually wear clothes, which almost led me to some even worse thoughts, but I resisted myself. I seem to be forgetting a lot of things until the last second, that isn't going to help. I took off my clothes as ordered, but before I could be tortured, a voice shouted from outside.
"Rarity I have something really important to tell you!" That was followed by a cracking sound in the door. This felt familiar in a way, but I couldn't quite place it. Rarity excused herself, and went to open the door in the other room.
"What is it now Rainbow? I have an important client right now." She sounded annoyed, probably with good reason. Memories of Rainbow Dash flooded me, and I leaned in closer to hear better.
Rainbow was panting as she talked, "It's… unbelievable *huff* two ponies *puff* fell from *huff* the sky *puff*! One was a green pegasus,". Here she took a deep breath, "and the other was a blue unicorn".
Rarity gasped, "The pegasus wouldn't happen to have a white mane would he?"
Rainbow nodded, "How did you know?"
"Simple, he is here in my store."
I took this moment to look around for an escape route. From what I can remember Rainbow dash was a pegasus of action, not thought. She was the last person I wanted to explain to first. If that makes any sense. I saw a window across the room, and took no time in jumping through it.
I made my escape towards the library, but I wasn't paying attention to what was in front of me and ran into somepony…body.
"Oh, sorry about that" I said before turning around. When I did I was surprised (but that kind of surprised when you're not really surprised), I had manage to tip over a pony carrying a large basket of carrots. More importantly that pony was a yellow pegasus with a pink mane. Now I knew she was important somehow, but her name escaped me. She was really shy, and good with animals, but what was her name.
She mumbled something I couldn't here, but I could assumed from her nature that she had told it was okay, so I responded accordingly.
"It's not okay! Let me help you clean this up."
This proved to be a bad idea, as it proved that I wasn't used to being a pony. I tried to pick them up with my hooves, but the carrots either slipped out of my hooves, or I fell down. Needless to say I looked very silly, and she had to pick one up with her mouth before I caught on. After that I managed to get most of the carrots in the basket no problem.
"Let me carry that for you, since it was my fault that you had to stop" I can be a perfect gentleman when the situation demands me. She hid behind her mane and withdrew from my offered hoof.
"Oh no it's fine, I couldn't ask you to do that."
She looked so cute trying to hide behind herself that the only thing my mind could say was D'AWWWWWW. My mouth was able to get the right words out, regardless of my current mental state (cuteness overload).
"I insist, I accidently pushed you to the ground and made you spill the carrots, it's the least I could do."
Without further warning I put the basket on my back and motioned for her to lead the way. She squeaked (causing my mind to overload again) and finally started walking down the road. As we started to walk there was an awkward silence, in an attempt to make conversation I introduced myself.
"By the way my name is…" here I remembered that I didn't really have a name, and I wasn't stupid enough to say Green Dash again. After a bit of quick thinking I came up with "Copper Sparks". I'm horrible at this name thing, good thing I never had a kid (Dovahkin hands down).
She said something to me, but I was unable to hear. I asked her to repeat herself, but she only said it quieter. This sparked my memory, her name was "Fluttershy…" the last part I mumbled out loud. She nodded her head to confirm this and then looked up.
We were at her doorstep, and things immediately got awkward again. I handed (hoofed?) over the basket to her and she opened the door. She didn't walk in yet, she just turned around and looked at me. She looked like she wanted to say something, but couldn't get the words out.
I laughed nervously, "Well, I'll catch you around Fluttershy, nice meeting you, maybe we can hang out sometime." I turned around and walked away, cursing that I still didn't know how to fly. If I had been watching her I would have seen her reach out to stop me, but she didn't make a sound, so I never noticed.
I headed back to town to finally get to the library, so I could clear up the mess me and Martin had probably caused. I didn't see anyone out on the streets this time, and I got a nervous feeling as I approached the library door. I walked into the library as this feeling grew. The lights were all out, suddenly I remembered something important.
"Oh..Shit" was all I was able to say.

An: I just want to say this is my first fic, but I'm not really expecting it to be great. I wrote the first four chapters at once, and I hope to keep churning them out as fast as I can. Before you ask i really do believe that stuff about spirits and setting ourselves free. This fic is something a friend told me to do. I write this to question myself, to make sure I have faith in my beliefs. That's enough sappy crap don't ya think. Anyway if you noticed I am a fan of Gurren Lagann a great series. If you want to flame, leave helpful criticism, or just say hi, then feel free to message me or leave a comment.
