Shining's Rise To Power - Two Sister's Banished

As we flew into the city we landed in the middle of what would have been upper Canterlot’s city square. Bodies littered the ground and everything was abandoned anypony who was roaming the city streets was either guards or soldiers. Every pony else had either got out of the city or had barricaded themselves inside. A crow landed near a dead pony and a blast form Luna’s horn exploded it into nothing. She landed where the crow had been. She hadn’t seen us but a little filly. The poor filly was looking out of the window in fear. We both landed in an ally and saw Luna smash the front window to the house that had a sign of a sun in the front garden. I heard the little filly scream and run out of the house as Luna broke through the wall to get her. She screamed running down the garden path. She reached the path to the road and froze still as I came out of the shadows. I watched as Luna stared at me. She then gave a sadistic grin to the filly. The filly looked from me to the Luna. Twilight came up to my side and the filly ran to Twilly hooves. Watching Luna I bent my head down to nuzzle the filly. Twilight comforted her. Luna then turned to the sound of the fillies mothers' screams. I watched as in mille-seconds she was blown to pieces. The filly cried I was seething with anger. I charged at Luna spreading her wings she took off and I followed suit. She looked behind and looked at me with amazement. She stopped and turned.
“Thy nephew is an alicorn now? Did that Sun Butt git do this to get you on her side?”

“No you raging lunatic! I did this for equestria.”

“You can’t turn yourself Shining.” celestia suddenly appeared and stared daggers at me.

“He didn’t Celestia!” The Book floated as Darkice spoke. “I did. He passed the test!”

“Never!” Both screamed in unison and then both dived for me. Flying off a full speed the book followed I grabbed the book as I saw Darkice flipping the pages.

“DARKICE I NEED YOUR HELP!”

“Use this spell Shine.” I scanned it turned and shot it at both. It stunned both of them but they was quick to recover. As they recovered they both looked at me and then started to fight each other. Twilight came up to my side…

“Nice spell and good work at distracting them!”

“Thanks Darkice and they started to fight themselves sis. I only stunned them!”

“Okay so we need to get you alone with one of them… also I gave the filly to the next door neighbour who took down her sign when you chased Luna.”

“Nice work sis and yeah we need to get them separated as much as I just would like to give them each a knife and tell them to kill each other….”

“SHINE!”

“Hey it was more of a joke!”

“Okay so deal with Celestia first and I will distract Luna.”

“Sounds good love ya sis and be careful.”

“Love ya too BBFFF.”

We both split going opposite ways to the two raging sisters.

“Hey SUN BUTT GET HERE NOW!”

“Hey Luna I’m Princess Celestia’s successful student. I bet she loves me more than you!” Both taunts worked Luna went for twilight and Celestia came for me. I flew off in a flash allowing her to chase me. I needed to get her as far away as possible so Luna didn’t see me banish Celestia if either saw it coming they would just work together to kill us and then continue the fight again.
Once I got Celestia away and near the castle, I stopped and shot the stun spell again she stopped and then landed to recover I hovered above watching her closely. I needed to paralyse her so she wouldn’t fight so I could drain her power and take her talent before banishing her…

She looked up angry as all hell. She looked still as if she couldn’t move but I wasn’t being fooled. I shot a second spell she dodged and then shot back I moved to avoid it and hit her wing with another shot. She screamed and held me in her magic. She pulled me closer eyes white with hatred. Panicking I didn’t aim straight, I shot a spell at her head aiming for her horn and she let go falling to the ground. Completely stunned and holding her head. I landed near her and shot a spell at her wings gluing her wings to her body disabling her flight.

I went to aim at her horn. When she griped my throat struggling I cast a spell at the book. The pages turning as Darkice tried to find a spell strong enough not to kill her but to disable her and stop her from chocking me to death. She pulled me close to the ground standing up. She shock her mane and walked slowly towards me. I thought I was going to die until Darkice stopped turning. “Use this one!” I aimed at her body as that’s all I could roughly make out I was starting to lose consciousness and shot the spell at her. Her grip faded and I could breath. I caught my breath and disabled her magic and bound her to the ground.

I took a deep breath. She opened her eyes and struggled. I looked down at her and a tear ran down my face. My ruler. My leader. The pony that I trusted. My auntie. The mare I had a crush on for a while. Everything she had comforted me, she had lead me into battle. I had protected her. It was my duty to serve her. Now it was my duty to strip her of her power and banish her to the sun… I hated that I had to do this everything felt wrong. I took another deep breath, looked her in the eyes and conjured all my hate in the world all my fear. I was channelling so much pure hatred into this spell, my vision went blue. Crying I cast the spell she screamed as I ripped all her power from her and her cutiemark faded. Unlike Cadence Darkice was soft and gentle as she was willing. With the sisters they didn’t want to give up their power so it hurt them a lot. I felt the power flow within me as I finished the spell. I looked to my cutiemark to see a sun in 1 of the other stars above my shield.

“What would happen if I kept taking cutiemarks Darkice?”

“Well if you kept taking them you would end up having a similar problem to the disease called cutiepoxs. But it wouldn’t get there because for it to be permanent you need to banish or kill the original host for their talent to stay. So please hurry up and Banish Celestia!”

“Wait how long do I have?”

“About 2 days but she was powerful so I wouldn’t hang around and Twilights alone with the other twit!”

“Oh yeah okay…”

“We can discuss this and many other topics more when you have the time.”

“Okay thanks”

I watched as she looked at me with sadden eyes. “Shining…. Why did you take my power?” It was as if she didn’t hate… that she was fine again but what she had done couldn’t go unpunished. For my sake she didn’t stay like it for long…. When I didn’t answer she screamed. She went all crazy again so with tears still falling I conjured the banishment spell and with a hell of a lot of hatred and hurt running through my body I shot the spell at Celestia hearing 1 more Blood curling scream ripping through her throat. In a flash she was gone… I looked up to the big and bright yellow sun and there in the sun was the outline of a pony I had seen in the moon only a few years earlier.

I picked up my thoughts. I composed myself as took off in the direction of and explosion. I saw Luna and Twilly battling hard blasting this way and that building collapsing. I moved swooping under the falling building narrowly missing it as I flicked through the book. Luna hadn’t seen me yet so I channelled all my hate into a stun spell shooting it straight a Luna it hit her and she fell to the ground.

Twilly secured her horn so she couldn’t fire but before either of us could get her wings she took off in a flash in a straight line, she flew fast struggling as she did trying in vain to get the spell of her horn. I and Twilly flew after shooting beam after beam. Our beams collided hitting buildings; we had to dodge our own shots. We were forced to dodge each rock from the falling debris. She dodged all our shots and flew straight down following the waterfall straight off Canterlot mountain.

I allowed myself to fall I needed to let the wind and gravity take me coming right behind Luna she looked back to swoop up and over me so she was chasing me and twilight was chasing her I took a sharp turn as she kept trying to get the spell off her horn, she followed I did twists, turns. I flew up and down slowing Luna down slowly allowing twilight to catch up. Once she had caught up a bit I looked back nodded. I turned sharp flying straight for Luna she quickly turned trying to get away she ran into Twilly she was forced to fly down and as she did, I shot the crystal spell at her. She became a rock falling through the air heading straight for the city road below just before she hit the ground I held the crystal in my magic she was fearful to say the least.

Twilly secured her, once secured I took the crystal spell off, as I started the spell to take her talent. When I was ready to cast the spell Luna started to plead. I didn’t take a second thought as I blasted her with the spell I saw Twilly flinch as Luna screamed. I watched as her cutiemark faded I had been far too into the spell to realise how it faded but this time I cast the spell it didn’t seem as hard the second time. Once done she looked at me with the worst expression. “DON’T THOU DARE THINK ABOUT SENDING ME TO THY MOON!” I chuckled. This surprised Twilight. She looked on in confusion.

“You’re telling me what to do and what not to do! What are you going to do to stop me from sending you to the moon! YOU LOW LIFE GIT! YOU HAVE SLAUGHTERED YOUR OWN CITIZENS BECAUSE YOU ARE BLINDED BY DEPRESION! BLOODLUST! WHAT EVER MADE YOU DO THIS! YOU ARE NOT WORTHY OF YOUR TITLE AND YOU CENTAINLY WILL NOT BE TRUSTED OR LOVED BY THIS WORLD EVER AGAIN!” With my anger fuelled I conjured the banishment spell with tears in my eyes sent the spell at Luna. As with Celestia, Luna let out a blood curdling scream and in a flash was gone.

Twilly looked at me and then embraced me crying… I did the same I wrapped a wing around her. “It’s okay it’s finally over… We are finally safe…” I looked around us… Canterlot was destroyed there was barely anything left. Most of the upper Canterlot would need rebuilding…

“Daddy… Why did you cry?”

“Well Skyla, My aunties had destroyed what I once called home and then we didn’t even have them… and as you can see we still don’t have them they will not be back for at least 5000 years the spell I used is unlike the elements. It’s much stronger and can be used on anyone. Which is why most dark spells are forbidden for the pubic to use.”

“Oh okay… so you was sad because although they did something bad you still loved them…”

“Yes, just like you foals when you do something bad. I tell you off but that don’t stop me feeling guilty for telling you off even if it’s the right thing. I hate seeing you upset with my or sad because I have told you off but that’s life.”

“I get it now. I love you daddy…”
