What to do?

"Starlight Glimmer!" Trixie whispered loudly, "Starlight Glimmeeeerrr!" She imitated Twilight diffidently. "Whatever are we going to do?!"

Starlight Glimmer felt fear worm it's way into her clenched belly, and she responded; "Hide! Get under my bed or SOMETHING!"

The hoofsteps got closer every heartbeat and Trixie danced on her hooves, her heart slamming against her chest. She lifted her forehooves up and grabbed Starlight's face, thrusting it up against her own; "What are we gonna do?!"

"I-I don't know!" Responded Starlight rapidly, her heart beating so fast she felt as though it would explode. She pushed Trixie's forearms down, dancing on her own hooves and chewing on a forehoof uneasily. But then an idea sparked inside of her, and so she hissed to Trixie urgently; "Get under my bed! Quick!"

The hoofsteps were so close that the two ponies could feel them, and Trixie immediately scrambled under Starlight's bed frantically, as the door began to open. . .

Princess Twilight Sparkle walked in as Starlight Glimmer was staring down at Trixie Lulamoon, who was heaving the secret chest in front of her to disguise her presence. . .

Quickly Starlight snapped her attention from Trixie and faced Twilight. "What do YOU want?" She asked caustically, hackles lifting.

"I want to apologize. . ." Twilight confessed harmoniously. "I understand that you have nothing to do with this, and always have."

Starlight's face had red slowly burning through her fur. "I-It WAS my fault, Twilight! Trixie didn't cast a spell on me. . ." She muttered quietly, so that Trixie couldn't hear her.

Twilight grimaced. "You mean you really have a crush on Trixie?"

Starlight's face went excessively red and numb and she felt her hooves tingle and her ear-tips burn with shame and embarrassment. "I. . .I uh. . ."

Twilight wrapped a hoof around Starlight's neck and said softly; "It's not your fault. I'll get revenge, just you wait. . ." She closed her jaw around Starlight's fuzzy ear and the pink unicorn stood rigid, her face so numb that she couldn't feel the huge frown set upon it. All that Starlight could do was stand there like a statue-maybe even like the chaotic discord when he was set to stone at first.

Twilight slowly pulled back, drool oozing down Starlight's ear. It tickled and her ear twisted and flicked as stimuli, and as Twilight finally left she rubbed it off with her face screwed up in disgust.

Trixie staggered out from under Starlight's bed. "What was THAT all about?" She said as she leaned into Starlight, reaching over and wiping the last of the drool off of her ear.

"Well, as you know, Twilight is ridiculous!" Starlight laughed in false amusement.

"Starlight," Trixie began hesitantly, "do you actually have a crush on me?" Her purple eyes glistened.

Starlight's forequarters lowered a bit and she tilted her head up to look into Trixie's eyes. "W-Well. . .N-no. . ."

"Ya sure about that?" Trixie interrogated, lowering an eyebrow.

"Oh, shut up." Starlight blushed fiercely.

"You have a crush on me!"

"You kissed me!" Starlight snapped back, her blue eyes having a small blaze.

Trixie's face reddened an immense amount and she snorted. "Pfffffft, I uh. . .Was just caught up in the moment! Trixie was just very excited!" She whipped her head to the side and let her bottom lip jut out, looking back at Starlight as she suggested;

"Well, I have games. What did you have in mind, that we could do?"

"Well, I didn't really have anything in mind." Trixie groused, "Buuut I suppose we could play truth or dare?" She asked cunningly.

"Duuuhhhhhhhhh. . ." Starlight tapped a hoof on her chin and when she got an idea she sprang up, thrusting her face up to Trixie's, there muzzles scrunching up together. "Pinkie Pie and some anonymous pony she knows. . .and apparently me, too. . .Well, anyway, they made"-Starlight pulled back and lifted a forehoof excitedly-"a truth or dare set of cards, and we could play it!"

Trixie just stared at Starlight, waiting for her to say something, but what?

Starlight's brow furrowed as she pondered what Trixie could be so reluctant to play about. But then it hit her, and she blushed while she realized what the possibilities of dares could be in there.

"Well, we could just skip the horrid dares." Suggested Starlight curtly, desperate to do something adventurous with Trixie.

"Weeeeeeeeeeh. . ." Trixie rolled her head, considering.

"Yeeeeeeeeeeah!" Starlight urged.

"Well. . .Okay." Trixie seemed eager, though her ears were flattened and her fur was prickling. There was an uncontrollable smile on her face.

"Okay! Great!" Starlight yipped excitedly. She dashed around, scouring her room for the cards.

While waiting for Starlight, Trixie let her eyes take in Starlight's room. She glanced over at the unicorn's table, finding the start of a drawing of her. She lifted a hoof to her mouth in dismay, turning around to face Starlight.

"You love Trixie!" Trixie exclaimed, holding the piece of paper up with a furry blue hoof.

Starlight kept searching the table next to her bed, her tail facing Trixie. "Don't be silly." She chuckled.

"The Great and Powerful Trrrixie compels you to tell the truth! What was this drawing for?"

That's when Starlight turned around, half slowly half normally. "W-Well I got bored. . .I was mad and thinking about you made me less mad, I suppose. I was thinking about the act we had planned, I was sketching out a poster." Well, thought Starlight numbly, at least it's less than half true. She rolled her eyes.

"That. . .That's one of the nicest things anypony's ever done to me. . ." Trixie pulled Starlight in with a forearm and gave her a hug, tears starting to slip out of her eyes. "Starlight, I think you're the nicest pony I've ever met. . ."

"And you're the most great and powerful, Trixie." Starlight nuzzled into Trixie's ruff, pulling back after a decent while of affectionately hugging.

"Now, let's get to playing!" Starlight held the cards up with her magic, "We've got a game to play!"
