The Walking Displaced: Season 1
Episode 2 - A House Devided
It was mostly quiet in the humid car. All of the windows that could be rolled down, were, and the kids in the back of the car stuck their heads outside, letting their hair blow in the breeze.
Lightning Dust pulled out a walkie talkie as she drove home. “We’re done, Trixie. You can lure them back now.” She said, but only static answered her. “Trixie, respond…” Nothing.“Damn… Must be out of range, or Dumbbell changed the frequency again, Trixie’s not the type to take chances.” Lightning stated. “They probably got home before those Walkers ambushed us. Probably why they were even there.”“They could have been stragglers?” Surprise suggested with a shrug. “For all we know Trixie is still running the Walkers around in circles.”“You suggesting we get close to a horde? If they got too far out of range, it’s their fault and I’m not saving their asses.” Lightning replied.“I wasn’t suggesting we go after her sorry ass. Just that she could still be moving them around.” Surprise responded defensively.“Alright. We’re almost home.” Lightning Dust said, handing her pistol and pipe to Clementine. “Mind putting those in the bag, please?”Clementine silently took them and put them in one of the bags.Lightning leaned towards Surprise. “If you teach Clementine that talking to people like you do is okay and I can’t teach her otherwise, I’ll shoot you.”“Clementine can talk however she wants. I won’t force anything upon her.” Surprise whispered throwing her arms up in the air defensively, “unlike some people I know.”Lightning rolled her eyes, before her eyes widened. “Holy shit, smoke!” Lightning Dust pointed towards a pillar of smoke that came from their settlement. “No… No, no, no!”“That can’t be good.” Surprise said getting out of the car with her bag in hand. “I’ll meet you there.” she then tied her bag to her waist and took to the sky flying straight for the settlement.“Bitch.” Lightning Dust growled, looking at how Surprise flew. “Alright, Clementine hand Rumble and I guns.”Clementine nodded, before pulling out an AK-47 rifle and a double barreled shotgun. She handed the first to Rumble, and the second to Lightning.“Thanks baby, now stay here.” Lightning demanded.“But-!” Clementine began to protest, however Lightning’s glare stopped her.“No buts, I want you to go and hide in that there recycling bin.” Lightning Dust pointed to a plastic blue can on the opposite side of the car where the smoke was coming from.“But I can help!” Clementine shouted. “You never let me do anything-!”“I can’t lose you too!” Lightning shouted, which silenced Clementine. Lightning Dust stayed still for a moment, then got out of the car. “Come on, Rumble! Let’s go!”Rumble was stunned, but followed orders. Once they were out, Thunderlane and Fluttershy greeted them.“Come on, they might need our help!” Fluttershy said, holding a hunting rifle close to her chest, while Thunderlane held a revolver. Lightning only nodded in response, and the four of them ran to the gates, only to realize that a jeep had driven through it and broke it. They ran inside, only to stop dead in their tracks. In front of them, was a line of fifteen people they knew, holding up rifles and pistols aimed at them. And at the head was the a woman with white hair, yellow eyes, and yellow lipstick. She wore a biker jacket and boots, as well as jeans.“Hey knuckleheads. Took you long enough.” She said coldly.“Gilda…” Lightning Dust growled. “After everything Lee did you you! For us!”“Yeah, what Lee did. You know as well as I do that he was the best thing that happened to this place, but I don’t like the current management!” Gilda said, pacing back and forward. “Drop your guns or my guy’s will drop you, and before you ask, yes we caught the newbie airhead. Trixie!”A pale haired woman with purple eyes walked into the line of sire with Surprise, a gun pointed at the back of her head.“Drop… Your guns... Shithead.” Gilda said in a low tone. Lightning Dust stared at Gilda, then Surprise, and knelt down. She placed her shotgun on the ground while one of the traitors walked over and picked it up. After a bit, Fluttershy followed, and so did Thunderlane and Rumble.“There, ya see? I knew you were reasonable.” Gilda said. “Stay kneeled, would you? Dumbbell, bring out our *former* leader!”Dumbbell came out from behind a building with a bruised and beaten dark skinned woman with white and black striped hair. She was wearing african style sashes and a brown cloak. “Gilda my dear, how could you do something this drear?” she asked“Cause I want it all! I was Lee’s right hand, and you came in and took over! So the way I see it, taking you out and anyone who’s with you, while taking your shit will help me survive. That’s life, bitch.”“I stepped up to prevent us from falling to doom, I knew you would only bring us gloom.” replied the woman.Gilda growled. “Stop rhyming, you’re pissing me off… Now where was I?” She tapped her chin in thought. “Right! I was about to say why I’m not killing you fucktards. The answer is simple, I’d rather not waste you. I like you in particular, Lightning. Determined to get everyone through the day, and leave no man, woman, or child is unfed. If I was a better woman, I’d say that you deserved to be in charge!”
Lightning snarled. “Your point?”
Gilda chuckled, waving her gun back and forward. “The point is that I like you people! You're still my people, even if you’re all idiots. Plus I’d rather not waste seven bullets. So, I’m going to have to give you an incentive as to not try to follow me-”“What are you going to do? Shoot Zecora dead, and drag one of us off with you to stop the rest from following you?” Surprise said struggling against her captor. “Real original.” “Nice idea, whore. Honestly though, she’s not worth a bullet.” Gilda said, before pulling out a combat knife. She grabbed Zecora by the hair, yanked her close, and dragged the blade across her neck. Blood spewed out of the opening and some out of her mouth. “No!!!” Fluttershy screamed, before Thunderlane began running towards Gilda. But just before he took his fifth step, Trixie aimed and his chest and took a shot, landing a bullet in his chest. That only caused Fluttershy to scream more, before collapsing where she knelt. But Gilda stood where she was, smirking as she stared Lightning Dust in her eye. “Let this be a lesson. Don’t screw with me and my people… Tell Joe that when he gets back, m’kay?” Gilda said, before she turned to her men. “Alright boys, go find the doc! We’re taking her with us!” Five of the traitors turned around themselves and ran off to find the ‘doc’, which only caused Lightning Dust to shake in pure rage. “I’ll kill you…” Lightning snarled, glaring at the ground. “What was that!?” Gilda shouted. A moment went by, and Lightning didn’t respond. “Thought so!” Surprise had fallen to her knees and just stared at Zecora’s body. Her normally curly hair was a little flatter as she muttered, “She… she really did it.” “Damn straight I did it! I’ve killed lots of people!” Gilda announced. “I’ve even killed strays like you that Zecora let in! But I’ll let you live since I bet LD needs some man power… Since I’ve taken that away.” She gestured to her men, then Thunderlane who was bleeding out on the ground.Surprise looked at Gilda for a moment before turning to look at Lighting Dust and mouthing *“I’m sorry.”* the golden haired woman then started to stand back up, a glint of anger within her eyes. One of the traitors came out from a house, dragging an unconscious woman with pink hair and wearing nurse clothes. “Wonderful doing business with ya, LD.” Gilda said, before walking over and giving the blonde a right hook so hard that Lightning Dust was knocked out. “I’ll kill you myself!” Surprise shouts as she flew across the yard toward Gilda fist drawn back. Gilda then turned on her heels and slammed Surprise to the ground with her left palm, with enough force to make her unconscious as well. “You gonna try something too, pussy?” Gilda asked Fluttershy, who whimpered in response. “Thought so… Let’s roll out, jackasses!” Her men laughed mildly as they walked out, leaving the vulnerable settlement behind, grinning sinisterly.
“... -p… Wake-... -ake up! Wake up Surprise!” Surprise’s eyes opened to see the familiar face of a chubby man with light brown, short hair, vibrant green eyes, and darkly tanned skin. He wore a white stained T-shirt with black shorts. “Are you alright!?” “Joe… Could you please rut me until my lower body feels sorer than my head?” Surprise asked as she slowly sat up and held a hand to her forehead. “Yep, she’s alright.” Joe said with a sigh. “I could still use being fucked though.” Surprise responds as she looks around to take in the room. “Gilda killed Zecora, took our guns except the ones that my group had, and left with more that half of our supplies… And you want sex…” Donut Joe said, before rubbing his face. “Figures that takes your priorities.” “You have to admit the thought has crossed your mind once or twice Donut Joe.” Surprise muttered quickly, “How are Lightning and Clementine?” “Lightning’s jaw was dislocated and she’s sore, but thankfully Clementine was hiding in a recycling bin outside of the settlement before Gilda took your car.” Joe said, sitting down in a chair next to Surprise’s bed. “Well fuck, I should have left that explosive in the van.” Surprise muttered softly, “It would have gone off about now if I didn’t set it off earlier.”“Hindsight doesn’t matter now. What does is that we lost the bulk of our security and supplies, as well as the second in command as *their* leader. And we lost our doctor, Redheart.” Joe explained. “Well Joe, it sounds like you’re trying to eat a clock,” Surprise states with a smile, “Seeing everything as time consuming. I suggest we start by getting Redheart back, Clem really needs a doctor that knows her.” “Why, is she hurt? Besides, we can’t all just abandon this place, there are still people.” Donut Joe said. “I don’t think so much physically as mentally.” Surprise stated with a chuckle. “I did quite a number on her mind in the van a while ago.” “She’d need a psychiatrist, not a doctor.” Joe deadpanned. “She would still need a doctor for the future, as do we all…” Lightning Dust said, walking into the room. Her face had a bruise on her right side. “We’ll be getting Redheart back, and kill those sons of bitches.” “Permission to defenestrate Trixie when we find them?” Surprise asked “Granted, as long as she’s unwilling.” Lightning replied. “Joe, you stay here and hold down the fort. Surprise, Rumble, and Clementine will come with me.” “It’s a suicide mission.” Donut Joe said, “And you’re bringing Clementine!?” “I have an idea. I heard a rumor that there’s a place in Ponyville where there’s an RPG somewhere. I think the military were quarantining the area, it was the unit Surprise was from before the outbreak.” Lightning Dust said coldly. “The Wonderbolts disbanded.” Surprise said as she got over and moved over to the wall and started to feel around the wall. “After the outbreak, obviously. But their base is still there, and any weapons there we can use are of importance. That place was Ponyville’s last stand against the Walkers, and even though it fell they saved a lot of lives. Maybe they can help us kill some.” “Well we definitely got nothing better to do.” Surprise then hooked her fingers into a knot and pulled the planks aside revealing her wing blades, “Let’s go.” she stated as she began to put them on. “I hate those things, they make my wing itchy.” Lightning complained. “You guys are doomed…” Donut Joe sighed. “Well I need to find a cock somewhere to ride since it’s obviously not here.” Surprise chuckled as she tightened the last buckle. She then blew a kiss at Donut Joe, “Stay safe friend.” as she left the room. After a moment of silence, Lightning groaned. “I wanna defenestrate her…” “You find it inderine” Surprise called out from down the hall as she opened Clementine’s door, “You ready to head out and prove yourself to Lightning?” “Yeah.” Clementine nodded, determined. “Alright then,” Surprise then kneels down to the floor, removes a floor board and pulls out a set of sheathed twinblades, “Momma’s glad she hid you, yes she is.” she said to the swords as she worked on tying them to her hip. Clementine ignored Surprise as she hid her gun in the back of her pants and under her shirt. Surprise then left the room and headed for the supply room to stock up with a few of the little supplies they had. Within reason, since the ones they were leaving would need something to survive.
“Alright, we have two volunteers. Fluttershy, and Quibble Pants.” Lightning announced as she stood in front Fluttershy’s car, and their new car, a black with purple stripes, 1965 Chevy Impala. “Cool, let’s go. I got a list of people to defenestrate and a list of people to check availability.” Surprise chuckled as she moved toward the Impala, “And I’ve already checked everyone here.” “Alright. Fluttershy, Rumble and Clementine will be in Shy’s car, while Surprise, Quibble Pants and I’ll be in the new car Joe got us!” Lightning Dust announced. “Any questions!?” “Why isn’t Clementine with us?” Surprise questioned as she got in the passenger seat. “Because, if something happens to the front car, she’ll have a chance.” Lightning replied, getting in the driver's seat. “Can I change cars?” Quibble asked feebly, only to get a glare from Lightning. “Alright…” Once everyone was seated, Lightning Dust suddenly laughed. “Bet’cha don’t want his rod!” She remarked. “Sorry Quibs, but you don’t fit the bill to get my flirting.” Surprise told the man as se stretched out in her seat getting comfortable. Quibble Pants grumbled to himself, crossing his arms as Lightning started the car. And thus their journey began…
Fluttershy gasped as she jolted up, pain coursing through her body as she felt blood dripping from cuts. She looked to her legs and noticed that her car had crashed and was on fire, with nobody around. Except growls...
The Walking Displaced: Season 1
Clementine walked along the highway, passing rundown cars left and right. It was late, almost nightfall, and she didn’t want to walk into any Walkers on her journey. She stopped by a car with an open window, and peered inside.
There were no traces of any undead, so she assumed that the owner got out when Canterlot went up in flames or something. She crawled into the car’s open window, and searched the backseat, and found to her delight an unopened bottle of water. She grabbed it, and rolled up the window until there was only a crack. She opened the water, before drinking it’s stale liquid.Clementine sighed, thinking of Lightning Dust, Surprise, Rumble, and Fluttershy. She hoped they were okay beyond any feeling of self preservation she had. Suddenly, Clementine heard a loud *boom.“What the?” Clementine couldn’t think of what the sound could have meant…* But she didn’t feel scared for some reason, and just stayed put and decided to dive into her backpack for a snack.
“Ugh… I need to work on those landings in new universe’s.” A voice said as the dust from the crash settled. When it was clear, there was what appeared to be a small anthropomorphic goat child, who was wearing a green sweater with a large yellow stripe in the center, and black pants, with nothing else on.After the strange child brushed the dust off of them from the crash, they looked around, noticing a lack of people. “Huh… these universe’s I see are usually *inhabited.” The goat child commented to himself as he saw a car, noting that there were many that seemed to have no drivers and were rusting over. The world around him also seemed somewhat bleary and cold, almost hostile-like.“I got a bad feeling about this world.” He muttered to himself, before deciding to search the closest rusted car. To his surprise, there was someone inside the car. A girl, eating M&M’s alone and staring straight ahead.Tilting his head, he knocked on the door of the car. She jumped, and pulled out a pistol as she turned to him. She froze at his sight, though, surprised and almost looking horrified.“Howdy!” He said cheerfully, not in the slightest disturbed by the gun, knowing that the weapon likely couldn’t do anything to him as he was, giving a cheerful wave to the girl. She kept still, unsure how to respond. “Are you alright?” He continued when he saw that she wasn’t responding, tilting his head and giving her a worried look. She then began to scream and shoot at him, breaking the glass. He yelped, dodging by throwing himself back and out of the way of the bullets, a little surprised at the sudden hostile response.“Whoa, calm down!” The goat-child exclaimed, raising his hands in a non-threatening gesture.“What are you!?” Clementine screamed, still pointing her gun at him.“My species is called a goat BossMonster, but my name’s Asriel.” The now named Asriel said, not moving from his position.“There’s no such thing…” Clementine said, shaking.“I can promise you I’m not lying.” He said calmly. “I don’t want to hurt you anyway, I don’t really know what’s going on around here besides everything looks deserted… what happened?”Clementine stared at him, before saying, “Wait… Are you from a place called Earth? And you were turned into… Whatever you are?”“Yep, I’m a displaced, just like you!” He said, smiling as the tension lowered a little.“My dad told me about other Displaced… I’ve never met one though…” Clementine said.“Cool.” Asriel said simply, slowly and cautiously lowering his hands. “So, what’s going on around here?” He asked.“Oh, right, you’re from another world… Everyone died.” Clementine said nonchalantly. “Everything went to shit when my dad and I showed up. Not everyone’s dead, the the masses are go-” Clementine stopped when she heard a garbled and unnatural hiss, and saw a trio of Walkers come out of the forest.Recognition flashed in Asriel’s eyes at the sight of the walkers. “Oh, it’s a walking dead universe.” He muttered quietly to himself, before looking at Clementine. “That doesn’t have much ammo left, does it?” Clementine shook her head.“I got this then.” He said simply, throwing one of his arms forward, small multi-colored stars shooting out of the palm of his hand and flying forward, going through the trio of walkers heads.“Why can’t I have a cool power…” Clementine whispered, but looked in awe.“Well, I guess you just weren’t lucky.” Asriel said with a shrug. “So, do you have a group or something? We should probably get to them before more walkers come.”“We got separated awhile back. I’m going to a place where we said we’d go if something bad ever happened.” Clementine stated.“Cool, mind if I tag along?” Asriel asked, tiling his head. “You might need me, more walkers could come by!”“With your volume, I wouldn’t be surprised.” Clementine joked, crawling out of the car and grabbing her bag and slinging it over her shoulder. “Fine. What’s your name?”“It’s Asriel.” He said with a smile. “Lead the way!”“You don’t even know me…” Clementine said.“I’m confident that anything that could actually hurt me is way out of your reach.” He said casually, smile still on his face. “OH! I never asked for your name, sorry, what’s your name?”“Clementine.” She replied, “Can’t remember my real one though.”“I remember mine… I just prefer Asriel.” Asriel said with a shrug. “So, how far is this place?”“Nine miles that way.” Clementine said, pointing to the direction she was heading before getting into the car. “But we’ll need a place to stay for the night.”Asriel tilted his head, looking around at the gathered cars and getting an idea, a smile slowly growing on his face. “I may have an idea.” He said, moving over to one of the cars.“What?” Clementine asked.“I’m going to stake these up and use some fire magic to make us a little metal hut for the night.” He said, excitement in his voice as he grabbed one, lifting it and going to another.“That sounds dumb…” Clementine muttered.Asriel blatantly ignored her criticism, simply grabbing a bunch of cars before walking over to the side and setting them down. Next, he started ripping some of the roofs off of the cars, then setting them down on the ground after flattening them.Next, he ignited a flame, it coming out of a finger and fusing the tiles of the floor together, before moving back to the cars and ripping them apart, making sure to keep the more comfortable insides intact, before making thick metal walls on the edges of the floor with a metal door, fusing it all together before making a roof that supported itself without a pillar in the middle of the ‘room’ of the little hut, stepping back and smiling proudly at his work when he was done.Clementine sighed, “Whatever…” She laid on the ground, attempting to relax. “Get the underside…”“I did that first, remember?” He asked, stepping inside and tapping the metal floor with his foot. “Come on in! I turned the seats into really comfy beds.” He said, chuckling as he went in and started jumping on one.“You seem a bit too giddy.” Clementine said, walking in and sitting down on the “bed”. “Why are you always happy?”“Monsters are made of positive things, so it’s hard to be negative when I really don’t want to be.” Asriel said with a shrug, flopping and sitting on the bed. “Hey, you hungry?” He asked, tilting his head.“Yeah…” Clementine responded.“What'cha hungry for?” Asriel asked.“I don’t know. You have something?” Clementine asked.“I have some stuff from where I was before, just gimme a sec.” He said, seeming to reach into nothingness, before pulling out what looked like fresh french fries. “I got some fries, you want some?”“Uh… I’m good.” Clementine replied, searching through her backpack and pulled out a protein bar. “You probably shouldn’t stay here long, the virus is airborn.”“I’ll be fine, I’m a completely different species than you, so first it has nothing to work with in an attempt to infect me, and I’m made of *magic** so it has nothing to really stay on anyway.” He said, shrugging and eating the fries, inwardly glad that there was nothing else in his inventory for the virus to get on.They talked for hours until Clementine finally fell asleep. Asriel shrugged, smiling as he put a protective barrier around the hut, before laying down in his own bed, following her into slumberland.
The next morning, the two set off. “So, how long do you think it’ll take us, walking, to get there?” Asriel asked as they walked, looking around and enjoying the scenery. “Well, we’ve walked one mile, so at this rate we’ll reach there at about noon.” Clementine replied. “I hope.”“I could *fly* us there.” Asriel offered. “Just point me in the right direction.” “We’re heading that way, then we take a right after two miles if the map says anything.” Clementine said. Asriel nodded, before swooping her up bridal style, floating up before shooting forwards. Clementine screamed in surprise.
“Are we close to the place?” Asriel asked about thirty minutes later, still flying.“We juuuust past it.” Clementine said, looking down. “It’s that old warehouse.” Asriel stopped, backing up mid air and floating down, right next to a door into the warehouse.“Cool, so they should be here, right? Or were we too fast?” Asriel asked with a playful smirk.“Most likely that.” Clementine replied. “Thank you, Asriel.”“Welcome.” He said cheerfully, smiling, going over to the door. “So, are we gonna go in?” He asked, tilting his head.“No, there are Walkers inside. I want them to see me outside.” Clementine replied.“Okay, I guess we wait then?” Asriel asked, going over to a fallen tree and sitting on it.“You can go though.” Clementine stated.“I wanna hang out with you more though.” He said, pouting and crossing his arms. “Your fun.”“No I’m not, I shot at you.” Clementine replied.“I don’t mind… I regularly spar with someone that does something similar when we do, it’s fine.” Asriel said with a shrug. “So, what do ya wanna do while we wait?”“You do things while you wait?” Clementine asked, shocked.“Of course, otherwise it’s just boring.” Asriel said simply. “So, whatcha wanna do?”“There’s nothing to do…” Clementine deadpanned.“I wouldn’t say that.” Asriel said with a smirk, pulling out a small device. Clementine peered over his shoulder to examine the device.“What’s that?” She asked.“A 2DS.” Asriel said. “It’s something to play games on as you travel, or just around.” He explained as he put a game in it.“What’s a game?” Clementine questioned. “It sounds familiar.”“It’s something to entertain you over a long period of time.” He explained as the game started up. “I won’t turn the sound on, so I don’t attract any walkers, but for now the pictures should be just as good.” Clementine stared at the screen, enchanted by the moving pictures.*A few hours, and several games later…* “Do you want to try this one?” Asriel asked after he had beaten another game, holding the small device out to her.Out of nowhere, a car pulled up to the fence of the warehouse.“That’s them!” Clementine shouted, smiling in relief and happiness.“Cool.” Asriel said, turning the hand-held off and putting it away. “I wonder if they’ll shoot at me like you did.”“Not funny.” She grunted.“CLEMENTINE! You’re okay!” comes the voice of Surprise as she gets out of the car and flew over pulling Clementine into a hug, “When that pipe bomb went off in Flutter’s car we were all so worried. Lightening was almost in tears.” Surprise’s wing then flared out with a hiss of metal as she pointed her wing blade at Asriel’s throat, “Lastly, for now, who the fuck are you?”“My names Asriel.” He said with a smiled, not disturbed by the blades in the slightest.“What are you and what are you doing here?” Surprise questioned while the others were getting out of the car and working on getting the gate opened, Lightning Dust desperately.“He helped me get here! And he says he’s a… Goatboss from another universe…” Clementine said, though twirled her finger in a ‘he’s crazy’ motion.“Because that’s totally the strangest thing that’s happened to you so far.” Asriel said jokingly.Surprise looks Asriel up and down suspiciously before she asked, “How much of a Boss are you in bed?”“Surprise, get this gate open!” Lightning shouted.“Fine,” Surprise stated before flying over and cutting the chain with her wing blade, “Just know that I did that just because I like having your cute ass near me.”“Shut… The fuck… Up…” Lightning snarled, before rushing to Clementine and tackling her into a hug, her wing flaring.“This is all amusing to me.” Asriel commented, chuckling as he simply watched all of this happen, before looking at Lightning and tilting his head. “Hey… what happened to your wing?” He asked.Lightning glared at the goat boy, her wing folding back behind her. “S-sorry, nevermind.” He said, seeing her reaction.“So, how about we hurry along before the Walkers inside hear us?” Surprise asked as she started walking over closer to the warehouse.“Sure.” Asriel said, following.“You’re not coming with us…” Lightning Dust said, glaring at Asriel.“Why not?” He asked, tilting his head.“We don’t know you… And I don’t want your kind around Clementine.” Lightning whispered to him, her eyes dark. Clementine meanwhile was talking to Quibble Pants in the car.“That totally didn’t sound racist at *all.” Asriel commented.“Your kind, as in *Displaced.” Lightning corrected. “I won’t let you corrupt her into being weak. So leave.”“Isn’t that kinda hard since Clementine is a Displaced as well?” Surprise interjected as she looked in the warehouse at the Walkers which all seemed idle.“She is, but if she thinks that other Displaced will save her every time she’s in danger, she’ll get sloppy. And she could start acting like you, which means she’d start helping everyone she meets without thought.” Lightning snarled.“You don’t like nice me?” Asriel questioned, tilting his head.“Or me? I thought I had some assets you liked to look at once in awhile.” Surprise said as she walked back over.“I haven’t even really done that much, the most I’ve done so far is kill three walkers.” Asriel continued, shrugging.“Clementine’s father told me the weakness of most Displaced. They’re too heroic, and self absorbed. And I promised that I’d protect her, even from your kind.” Lightning Dust said, eyes narrow.“Too heroic?” Asriel questioned, a disturbing smile forming on their face. “Then you’ll just* LOVEmeeting my *other form.”“Get out. You helped Clementine, but she doesn’t need any help. And if you do anything, then Clementine will** hate you. Maybe if things are better, you can come back, but I won’t have her rely on you.” Lightning said coldly. “This isn’t your world.”“Actually, she hasn’t really accepted much of my help.” Asriel said with a shrug. “But whatever, I guess if you're so set on me leaving I will.” Asriel added loudly enough for everyone to hear.“What are you doing, Lightning!?” Clementine shouted angrily while Lightning stared emptily at Asriel. Asriel could tell that there was nothing in her eyes, not one emotion.“Nothing Clem, just see if you and Quibble can find Fluttershy and Rumble!” Lightning Dust said, but her face made no change. She then whispered, “You think that just because she doesn’t accept means that you aren’t babying her? You got her here. Without wings or a car, that’s impossible unless you brought her here. Stay away from my baby girl, you hear?”“I will stay away when she wants me to.” Asriel said simply with a shrug, before tilting his head with a worried frown. “Your SOUL seems… damaged.” He commented.“I don’t need your analysis. Here’s mine: you have no right to be here. She might think she wants you, but even her father knew better. You’re not good for her, and you should know it.” She then bent over to his level. Lightning added. “You have your own home anyways.”“Yeah, I do need to go back to protecting my own universe.” He admitted, shrugging and winking at her. “But I got one last thing to give before I go.” He said, turning and walking towards Clementine.Lightning held out her hand. “Give it to me. I know what it is. I’ll give it to her when she’s ready.” Asriel tilted his head, before shrugging. He glowed as he grew to tower over her, stretching as his robe appeared on him.“Feels good to be back in this form.” He commented as he reached up to one of his horns, grunting and ripping it off, putting a little energy into it. “Here, just say ‘Asriel Dreemurr’ whenever you need me.” He said, holding it out for her as his horn grew back in a flash of green.Clementine stood frozen, horrified. Lightning took the horn and cleared her throat. “You might want to leave. Now.”“Alright alright, bye Clem!” He called cheerfully, waving and smiling before he was gone in a flash.Lightning Dust stood still for a moment, before tossing the Token towards the warehouse. She then turned and began walking towards the car.“Let’s move on. Fluttershy and Rumble know where we’re going.” Lightning commanded, jumping into the car.
Fluttershy coughed as she regained consciousness. The first thing she noticed was that she was in a small room. The next was that the more severe cuts along her body were stitched. The last thing was the person hovering over her. Someone she thought was dead. Someone she cared for.The woman who stood over her stared back at her, with baby blue eyes that felt chilly looking into them. Her long, pink flat hair all over her face. She wore a black top with a damaged locket around her neck in the shape of a balloon, and a short checkered skirt. Her smile was different than what Fluttershy remembered. It was forced.“Hello Shy…” Her cool voice said, before her hand removed some of Fluttershy’s hair from her face. “It’s been far too long.”
The Walking Displaced: Season 1
Episode 1 - Awkward Talks
Silence. It wasn’t an uncommon thing to have. But it was often enjoyed by one girl. She was eleven years old, with dark skin, black curly hair, and hazel eyes. She wore a long sleeved dirty and tattered cyan shirt and ripped jeans. A bloody blue and white cap with the letter D laid atop her head as she sat on an old knocked over refrigerator in the middle of town, and on the road.
She stayed there, in a ghost town. Almost all alone. Almost. Not too far behind her was a blonde woman with yellow eyes and lighter skin. She wore a white sleeveless shirt with a light turquoise hoodie over top, and camouflage cargo pants. With her was woman with curly golden hair, purple eyes, and almost white skin. This woman was wearing jeans, a navy blue shirt, and a navy jacket with golden lightning stripes upon it.
The woman with the jacket picked up her pace as a smile came to her face. “Hey Clementine, what do you call a cow with two legs?” she asks when she gets close enough to stand next to the fridge.
“I don’t know…” Clementine groaned in slight annoyance.
“Lean beef!” the woman bursts out as she falls to the ground laughing at her own joke.
“I don’t get it...” Clementine muttered.
“She likes puns. You may never get her since you lost your sense of humor.” The other woman said, carrying a bag over her shoulder. “Anyways, we’ve got a lotta food. We have one more stop before heading back home.”
“Where to, Lightning?” Clementine asked.
Lightning sighed. “We’ll be meeting up with Thunderlane’s crew by Ponyville Eastside Veterinary Hospital. We’ll be clearing out one of the medical wings of Walkers.”
Clementine nodded at that. “Okay.” Lightning smiled at the girl, before walking past the fridge. Clementine watched her walking by, and examined her back. There was a single wing that matched her jacket on her right shoulder blade. Surprise had two white wings, though, and Clementine knew why Lightning was missing a wing.
“Come on, let’s get back to the car! We don’t have all day!” Lightning announced. Clementine shook herself out of her zoning out and hopped off of the refrigerator, following Lightning.
Surprise then stood up and shouted, “Hey wait up for me!” as she spread her wings and used them to catch up to Lightning and Clementine. “I call Shotgun in the car.”
“Not like I’d let Clem in the shotgun.” Lightning replied with a playful smirk. The trio walked until they saw a Toyota Sienna parked in the middle of the empty road. It hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, leaving the windows the least filthiest surfaces on the whole car.
“We don’t have all day gang. Trixie’s group are gonna bring the Walkers back soon.” Lightning Dust shouted, making herself heard as she opened the door to the driver's seat and hopped inside, slamming the door. Surprise and Clementine followed her lead, getting in the passenger seat and left rear seat respectively.
Lightning started the car up, and began driving east. “So, what’s a Walker’s favorite toy, girls?” Surprise asks as she starts rummaging through her bag for something.
“Us…” Lightning Dust grumbled, clearly sensitive about the subject.
“A deady bear!” Surprise says as she pulls out a teddy bear with an explosive on its chest out of her bag.
Lightning looked for a split second and she slammed the breaks, causing everyone in the car the jerk forward.
“What the hell, Surprise!? Keep that stuff inside of your bag! Or better yet, not with us! You want to blow us up!?” Lightning seethed.
Clementine spoke without emotion. “Better than being bitten…”
Lightning turned to Clementine. “Now listen here. You will not speak like that. Do you hear me?” When the little girl nodded, Lightning sighed. “I swear, I’m the only adult here…”
“Well Clem does have a point.” Surprise mutters as she sets the timer on the bear, rolls down the window and chunks it out a safe distance. “I’m just trying to lighten the mood of you to depressed wannabes.”
Lightning slammed her foot on the gas. “What is wrong with you!? I didn’t mean start the bomb!” After getting a safe distance and watching the military grade weapon explode, Lightning slowed down. “Once we get back, I never want to gather with you again…”
“Such a spoil sport,” Surprise says “Besides that was my last bomb from the service, I used it because my Surprise sense was itching.”
“Why the Wonderbolts hired you and not me, I’ll never know…” Lightning sighed, shaking her head.
“Because I’m older that’s why.” Surprise states proudly as she sits back in her seat. “Now, remind me again but are we going to do a drive by of the Walkers that Trixie is leading around, or are we just going to head back with the stuff we got for now?”
“I already said, we’re helping Thunderlane’s crew with a veterinarian hospital. There might be some meds the doc can use.” Lightning explained.
“I feel sorry for Redheart from time to time.” Surprise says pulling out her pistol and checking the ammo, “Fuck, only four rounds left.”
“It’ll have to do. We have an AK-47 in the back just in case, but we’ll be using knives and any close ranged weapons to save ammunitions.” Lightning explained.
“But, I left my Wing Blades at base.” Surprise pouts crossing her arms over her chest, “So do you have anything to say Clem? I know it’s been hard on you since your pops croaked.”
“Surprise, it’s only been six months, give her some fucking space. We all lost someone, and we each take his loss hard.” Lightning said, glaring at Surprise. “She’s gone through a lot of trauma. You don’t just ask her-”
Clementine spoke up, cutting Lightning Dust off. “I’m fine. Thanks for asking.”
“You’re welcome Clementine.” Surprise says as she puts her Remington back into its holster.
Lightning Dust groaned. “Anyways, there’s a woodcutter's ax in the glove compartment, Surprise. Unlike you, I always carry a melee weapon. You never know when you run outta bullets and there are no more left. I don’t like trading bullets for rations.”
“Well sorry that Wing Blades get uncomfortable after wearing them for a prolonged period of time.” Surprise replies as she got out the ax, “This is more of a Hatchet than an ax.”
“Whatever know-it-all.” Lightning replied, rolling her eyes. The car was silent for a few minutes, and Clementine pulled out a glock 19 from between her feet.
Finally, the car pulled to a stop. Lightning Dust turned it off and got out and looked at Clementine.
“Stay here, sweetheart. I’ll be back soon.” Lightning Dust said, giving the unresponsive child a sincere smile.
“Okay, Dust...” Clementine responded. Lightning seemed disheartened, but closed the driver-side door before heading towards a tall building with a tan paint job. Next to said building was a black sports car with a dark skinned man on top of the lid, who had white/pale blue mohawk with yellow eyes and black wings, wearing only a white muscle shirt and blue jeans like Clementine, but lacking rips. Lightning Dust pulled out a sharp ended pipe from her backpack as she walked over to the man who was calmly smoking a cigarette.
Surprise turned around in her seat and looked at Clementine, “You do realize, how she feels toward you right? It would be kind of rude not to at least talk to her about what you want.”
“What I want, she can’t give. She’s treating me like I’m helpless. The only reason she decided to let me come was that Zecora told her to, and that there wasn’t any babysitters available.” Clementine said, louder than she’d been up til then.
“Then tell her that.” Surprise suggests as she leans forward and pats Clementine’s head, “I’m here for ya, especially if you want to ever go do something to prove to them that you’re to be taken seriously.”
“I’m fine… Right now, all I care about is making sure she’s alright.” Clementine said. “I may not act like it, but I care about her… I just… I can’t call her mom, not yet.”
Surprise nodded in understanding as she turned back around in her seat to sit properly, “Hey, have I ever told you the one about the jump rope?” she asked
“Please no…” Clementine groaned.
“Fine.” Surprise pouted crossing her arms before smirking, “We’ll Skip it.”
“Shouldn’t you be with Lightning?” Clementine asked.
“Personal rule of never leaving someone alone.” Surprise says with a shrug, “Besides, I get the vibe that she doesn’t like me that much since I was a part of the group that said she couldn’t be a Wonderbolt.”
“Lightning’s kinda glad though. She puts up a front that scares people off so she doesn’t get close. You’re new to the group, so you wouldn’t know. She and my dad were close, and when he died she closed herself off. It’s not hard to break through though.” Clementine stated as she watched the man and Lightning Dust talking. “It’s Thunderlane she doesn’t like that much, even if she doesn’t hate him.”
“What’s her issue with him?” She asked looking around for any Walkers
“I dunno, I think it’s because he hits on her.” Clementine said, “Though she doesn’t tell me everything.”
“Uh… That sorta tempts me to flirt with her just to see the reaction I get.” Surprise said with a smile.
Clementine stared at Surprise, dumbstruck. “You’re not a guy…”
“And you’re not fully grown. Your point?” Surprise asked leaning back and looking at Clementine with her head upside down.
“Dad told me about the birds and the bees and never said anything about girls and other girls… I guess I assumed…”
“It’s called being a Lesbian, or Bi.” Surprise said getting comfortable again. “I’m a Lesbian which means I only like girls and am one, while Bi reverses to girls that like both dicks and pussy.”
“Ew…” Clementine said, cringing at the genitalia word. “Surprise, Walkers!” She pointed outside of the car, where five Walkers saughtered silently up toward Thunderlane and Lightning Dust, who were unsuspecting.
“We’ll continue this insightful conversation later, then.” Surprise stated as she stepped out of the car quietly. She then drew her Remington and shot the one closest to Lightning and Thunderlane in the head, getting the two’s attention.
Lightning turned around and rushed towards one, pointed pipe in hand. She jammed it into the forehead of the nearest walking corpse, causing whatever indistinguishable gender it once was to topple to the pavement.
Thunderlane copied her, but with a long kitchen knife to the top of a female Walkers head, and it too fell. They repeated the process until they were all gone, and Lightning gave the two in the car a thumbs up.
“You’re welcome for the warning, ya tight assed hoe.” Surprise calls out to Lightning as she gets back into the car. “Next time, I’m bringing my babies.”
Lightning Dust raised her middle finger to Surprise, before opening the door to the building and walking in, followed by Thunderlane.
Clementine and Surprise sat in the car in silence. Until Clementine spoke up.
“I don’t like Thunderlane. He smokes in the house and it’s obnoxious.”
“The only good I see to having him around is to ride once in awhile.” Surprise said, “Otherwise I wholeheartedly agree with ya.”
“He doesn’t give good piggy-back rides…” Clementine said in response, oblivious.
“Not what I meant, but whatever works in your tiny little head.” Surprise said with a chuckle.
“You’re weird…” Clementine stated.
“And I won’t deny it.” Surprise said checking her pistol again. “Down to three.”
“You’ll get more. You waste them too much.” Clementine stated. “So… Did you have a girlfriend before this?”
“Yeah…” Surprise says with a sigh, “I had to shoot her wonderfully blazing orange head when all this started.” Clementine looked away, unable to respond. “Don’t worry I just need to ride a guy once or twice and find a new girl to be with and I’ll be fine.”
“I still don’t get it…” Clementine said dully.
“Didn’t you say that your pops told you about the birds and the bees?” Surprise asks
“Wait, you mean…” Clementine made a hole with her right index and thumb, while motioning her left index to go in and out of said hole.
“Yup,” Surprise said smirking, “Honestly it’s almost heaven if you get the right guy, one with the right equipment that just fills you up and hits all the right spots.”
“Alright, that's it, you’re grossing me out.” Clementine said.
But soon, to her relief, Lightning Dust came out of the building with Thunderlane, a younger boy with purple eyes and black hair, wearing a grey sweater and black sweats, and a pink haired girl with teal eyes, wearing a long yellow sundress. The latter two worked on putting the supplies in the sports car, before the boy ran over to Surprise and Clementine, hopping into the back seat.
“Hey Clem!” The boy said.
“Hi Rumble.” Clementine replied.
“Sup, Rum?” Surprise asked with a grin.
“Uh, nothing much. My big brother used my seat to hold the supplies, so I’m riding with you.” Rumble stated, smiling.
“What about the girl?” Surprise asked pointing at the girl in the sundress, “She riding with us, or would she get upset if I got a hold of your brother for an evening.”
“It’s Fluttershy’s car.” Rumble said, amused. “No matter how much Thunderlane says otherwise. And yeah, they’re a couple.”
“Fuck.” Surprise muttered to herself as she sat forward in her seat and waited for Lightning Dust.
It wasn’t long, and soon Lightning Dust was back inside of the car. “Never call me a hoe again, bitch.” She seethed, starting the car up.
“You still have a wonderfully tight ass though.” Surprise stated with a smirk, “Nice and firm I’m guessing.”
“Puns and sexual harassment. No wonder you’re single.” Lightning Dust jabbed verbally as she began driving. “Bet you were waiting for this apocalypse to happen.”
“I’m single right now because I had to shoot my old Girlfriend.” Surprise deadpanned in response.
“And it’s been a year since. How’re you holding up?” Lightning Dust teased.
“Yep, you pissed her off…” Clementine said calmly.
“You know as well as I do the ratio of male to female on this planet. The apocalypse has made it even harder to find an open ride.” Surprise said before going silent in fuming anger.
“And look at you now, hitting on a grounded Pegasus. You must be desperate.” Lightning snarked. “Maybe you should get to know be before hitting on me. You’re already suffering!”
“Lightning, that’s enough.” Clementine said sternly, and Dust quieted.
Surprise smiled knowing that Clementine stood up for her. She then continued to watch the scenery fly by as they drove.
Little did they know what they were coming back to...
