Chapter 2: ...We Meet Again.

"Um, Do I know-"  She took a deep breath and held a hoof to her mouth.

Tears began to stream down her face and her daughter sat on the table, confused. Frost stood there and looked at the mare that has changed so much. Her mane was much longer and a more beautiful gold. His gaze turned to what appeared to be her daughter. A tear stung his eye and hit the cold floor below him.

"F-Frost? Is that you." She said, trembling.

"Hello Ditzy." Frost said, letting his ears drop to the sides of his head. He had finally found her, but what he feared was true. She had found somepony else who gave her a daughter. Frost could feel his heart slowly pounding in his chest. His breathing became unsteady as he tried not to burst out into tears.

"Frost. How did you find me?" She asked him, stepping closer.

"Because I thought I had loved you." He said, taking a step back away from her. "I came here because I was hurt. I couldn't stand to be away from the pony I had loved for so long. But now I see that that Ditzy has moved on. You found somepony else and completely ignored me, leaving me back in Ponyville with painful memories."

Ditzy was now crying as she began to fall apart in front of him. Frost let out a grunt and looked over to the filly that was giggling on the table. He blew steam from his nose and turned his glare back to Ditzy.

"I hope it was worth ripping my hear out." Frost said trotting out of the coffee shop.

"Frost... It's not like that!" She said as he passed by her.

"What do you mean? I see that you don't care about me anymore. You clearly are living a happier life with your daughter and this new stallion, where ever he is." He said flinging the door open.

Ditzy picked up her daughter and followed Frost in the streets. She saw him angrily stomp through the streets. The ponies watched as he breathed heavily as he continued down the busy road.

"Frost!" He heard her call his name and he looked back to see Ditzy trying her best to catch up.

He huffed and began to pick up the pace, now in a full out sprint. Using her wings to trot faster, Ditzy caught up to the sprinting pony to see the anger and betrayal in his eyes. She saw that there was no feeling left in those icy eyes. Just a hollow pony with no love or affection, just hate and pain.

"Frost stop, and listen!" She stood in his path and he dashed around her.

She began to plead him to stop and listen again as they approached his motel room. Quickly fishing out the key from his pocket he opened the door and slammed it in Ditzy's face. He collapsed on the other side of the door and began to cry. Crawled up in a ball on the cold floor, the tears streamed down his face and began to form a small puddle.

"Frost, PLEASE, hear me out!" Ditzy said banging on the door.

"I don't want to hear it!" Frost roared, pressing his hooves against his pounding head.

"It's not what you think at all!" She cried.

"Than what happened, HUH?" He yelled leaning against the door.

Frost sat in silence and waited for an answer. He heard her daughter crying her eyes out from the other side of the door. He heard Ditzy whimpering as she slid down on the other side of the door. He gave up on her and began to trot to his bags.

"I was raped, Frost." The words echoed in his head, causing him to stop dead in his tracks.

"W-what?" Frost said approaching the door again.

"When I came here, my roommate kicked me out after my evaluation. She said that I was too much of a nuisance. My train tickets weren't usable until a week after I had finished so I had no place to stay for a whole week. I would have tried to fly, but I didn't know where I was heading. I'm not very good with directions. But a nice stallion took me in. He fed me and gave me a bed to sleep in. I had thought everything was going okay until he wanted his first day's payment. I tried to give him bits but... he wanted... he wanted something else. And I found out that I was pregnant afterwards. They took him away and I never saw him again, but what he left me was Dinky. She has been there to show me not to give in. Like you used to be, but I guess that Frost no longer exists." Ditzy was now crying on the other side of the door holding her daughter.

Frost held his head in his hooves and had the worst time taking this all in. Tears fell on the cold floor and his stomach was churning. He stumbled to his hooves and held the doorknob in his hoof, but then he heard Ditzy getting up.

"I couldn't bare it to come home. I thought you would have hated and ignored me for this. But I only made it worse. I can see that the long wait has made you change completely. I looked into your eyes for the first time in so long, and all I saw was pain. I want you to know that I still love you Frost. I wanted you to know all of this... before you left back home. I understand you hate me for not coming home, but know that I never forgot about you. I stayed up all night crying for days. I hated myself... Goodbye Frost." Ditzy began to trot away.
