The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, and today, Crown Prince Richter takes his first step into a wide world of magic, monsters, and turmoil.

My name is Richter, last male Alicorn and Crown Prince of Equestria. I was raised in royalty by my mother, Princess Cadance, and my father, Shining Armour, to be able to earn my place as a not only a ruler, but also as an Alicorn, a being of great power created to protect and lead the denizens of this world.

My journey started with a task: find and slay a dragon to prove myself worthy of a crown... but it soon spiralled into something far greater. A journey that spanned the first decades of my immortal life, a journey that left scars on mind, heart, and psyche... and a journey that was filled with forbidden love, hidden away in the confines of the Equestrian Monarchy that I soon fell into, only to embrace wholly and without regret.

My name is Richter, and this is my story.

A/N: This is a retelling of the original Lineage, retold in an attempt to iron out and remove many, if not all, of the flaws the original possessed that I felt had become too many to continue with in that singular story. This is an attempt to rework that original premise into a much more focused, mature, and better-written version of what I started nearly two years ago.

Warning: this story will contain much of the same as the original Lineage, including large amounts of incestuous relationships, violence, gore, and darker, depressing themes of death, murder, and morally grey encounters. If any of these topics disturb you, then please do not continue reading for your own sake.

As of 7/17/2018, this project was taken over by Twilight Adept (myself) from Buster Knutt. I look forward to adding my own touches to this while remaining faithful to Busters work.
