1: The secret is out

Rainbow was flying around Ponyville.

Spitfire was overhead, focused more on flying than her feelings. She saw Dash earlier, but she was more focused on her flying skills.

Dash had eventually flown back to her home.

Spitfire had finished her flying and she headed home.

Dash saw Spitfire's outline and blushed slightly.

Spitfire arrived home with a sigh.

Dash sighed and went for a nap.

Spitfire sat, thinking to herself. "Should I even tell her...?"

Dash was snoring loudly.

Spitfire pushed her thoughts aside. She got up anyway, heading for Dash's.

Dash turned over in her sleep as her ear flicked.

Spitfire knocked at Dash's door softly.

Dash heard the door and got up with a quiet groan, walking to the door and opening it.

Spitfire was messing with her hooves, looking down at them.

Rainbow rubbed her eyes and saw who it was. "S-Spitfire?!"

"H-hey...."

"What brings you here?" She tilted her head

"Well...."

"What is it?" She asked

"Could I come in first?"

Rainbow nodded, stepping aside to let her in.

She stepped in slowly, still looking toward the ground.

Dash sat down and tapped next to her. "Sit."

Spitfire sat down, sighing.

"So... What's up?"

"I need to get something off my chest..."

"And that is?"

"I...kinda...."

"You kinda, what?"

"Like you..." Her ears folded.

Dash's heart was racing. "Y-You like me...?"

Spitfire rubbed at her mane, she was dishevelled, afraid. She was mixing Dash's signals with another. "Y-yeah...just you know....like...like like..."

Rainbow nodded and her ears flattened against her head. "I love you!" She blurted out

Spitfire's ears perked as she smiled brightly. "Really?!" She cleared her throat, her smile fading. "Y-you do?"

Rainbow nodded slowly, her ears were still flat against her head as she looked down at the floor.

"Rainbow Dash?..." Her ears flattened as she spoke. "What's wrong?"

"I never thought my dream would come true." She sniffed, looking at Spitfire. "For years, I've had a crush on you but I didn't want to say anything as I felt like I wouldn't get into the Wonderbolts because of it and you would have hated me..."

"I-I thought about it..."

Rainbow just hugged her.

Spitfire's ears perked, her cheeks heating. She was blushing furiously, took her a few seconds to hug back, but it was tight.

Rainbow nuzzled her. "I... I love you..." She blushed

"I love you too~"

"So... What you wanna do?" She asked her marefriend

"What else came along with this dream~?"

"This isn't a dream, at least I don't think it is."

"Not what I meant." Spitfire chuckled, lightly kissing Dash's nose.

Then... What did you mean~? She giggled

"What else would happen with this dream, hm?"

"I don't know," Dash replied

Spitfire's head tilted.

Dash sat in her lap.

Spitfire nuzzled her gently.

Dash smiled. "So... I finally have a marefriend."

"Not just any marefriend~"

"The best marefriend in the world!" Dash said happily

Spitfire chuckled. "Am I?"

"Yep!"

Spitfire nuzzled her more.

"I'm tired..." She whined

"Then sleep..."

"Only if you stay..." She whimpered

"I will~"

Rainbow curled into her lap, getting comfortable before falling asleep, happy that her long-time crush was finally with her.

Spitfire hummed quietly, cuddling her close.

Dash shivered.

Spitfire's wings wrapped around Dash, keeping her close.

Dash purred and smiled in her sleep.

Spitfire started to drift off to sleep herself.

The two of them fell asleep in each other's hooves, ready to start a brand new relationship together.
