The Mystery of Professor Z

The next morning, the citizens gather around the center of town with the group confronting them and warning them about the real cause of the disappearing pets.

"Mares and gentlestallions, we have found the answer to the mystery of the disappearing pets.", the alicorn says.

"Well what is it?", an earth pony stallion asks.

"There's an earth pony stallion who stole our pets. And I get the feeling he must have stolen all of your pets", the white unicorn says.

All of the citizens talk at once.

"Did you all get a good look at this mysterious stallion?", a pegasus mare asks.

The alicorn projects an image of the mysterious stallion.

"Who is that?", a unicorn stallion asks.

"We don't know ", the cyan pegasus asks. "We just saw him last night."

"It seems as though we've solved one mystery and another one has just started.", the orange earth pony says.

"Alright. Everypony needs to keep all of their pets safe and we'll try to find any information about this stallion", the alicorn says

They all spread out and reinforce their homes, while the group look for information about the stallion.

Meanwhile, the professor has the pets in the cage and activates his lab. All of the pets get nervous about what's going to happen to them.

"Shut up. You won't be panicking after I'm done with all of you!", he shouts to them.

They stop panicking and are trembling in fear.

"Well let's not waste anymore time and get to work."

He opens the cage, but before he can experiment on them, the pets escape and run all over the lab. He growls and goes after them. The owl and the tortoise fly around and bump into ceiling lamps, the cat and the dog hop onto the tables and knock off the hoof tools and beakers and the bunny and the alligator run across cages containing the previous creatures now as monsters. The professor stops and thinks. He then gets an idea and puts on a gas mask. Z then heads to a button and pushes it, making vents open and release a sedative gas. The pets then breath in the gas and lose consciousness. The professor then takes the pets and straps them all on experimental tables.

"Now it's time to get to work.", he says as he picks up a hacksaw. He first takes the owl and uses the hacksaw to cut both of its wings off, next he then takes out a cleaver and uses it to cuts the cat's body in half. He then grabs a metal wire and places it under the bunny's neck. He puts his knee on it and pulls the wire up. He keeps pulling it until the bunny is completely decapitated. Up next is the tortoise and he uses a jack to pry it out of its shell. With the tortoise out of its shell, he straps it to a double sided table and cranks a wheel and pulls the tortoise's body apart. After that he takes out a scalpel and removes the scales from the alligator on the upper half of its body until it's all bare while leaving the bottom half in tact. He uses the scalpel again and dissects the dog. He then takes out its organs and peels off the flaps of skin from its body.

"The sweet taste of gore.", the professor says. "I've missed you so much."

When nightfall came again, the group of mares gather all of the citizens into the center of town.

"Everypony we have found out who this mysterious stallion is.", the alicorn says as she projects the image again.

"His name is Professor Z.", the unicorn mare says.

"Ten years ago, he was known as the greatest professor of all time, because he has been using genetic engineering to create exotic creatures.", the cyan pegasus says.

"Or so they thought.", the orange earth pony says. "It turned out he wasn't using genetic engineering, he was mutilating animals and fusing their body parts together to turn them into disgusting monsters."

The alicorn the projects all of the creatures the professor has butchered and the citizens are horrified and disgusted.

"As you can see, all of these animals have been torn apart and put together poorly. And they had to have been euthanized to make sure they'll be at peace.", the yellow pegasus says.

"And he's escaped from the Canterlot Mental Asylum and managed to escape into the Everfree Forest. He has never been seen since.", the pink earth pony mare says. "Until now."

"It seems he's taken refuge in the forest and has made a new laboratory there. He's also been taking pets and once again using them for his experiments.", the alicorn says.

"What are we gonna do?", an earth pony stallion says.

"We're going to get that professor, put him back in that asylum and take back the pets before they become deformed. Who's with us?!"

The citizens are rally and begin to head out into the Everfree Forest.

The professor has just finished his experiment and marvels at his newest creation. He then sighs in pride.

"Out of all of my previous creations, this has to be my crowning achievement.", Professor Z says.

He then notices voices and walks to the source. He sees a group of ponies who are being led by the group of mares he came across last night. The alicorn has her horn glowing.

"He's around here somewhere. I can feel his aura.", the alicorn says.

"Cripes. They're onto me.", he says. "I'm refuse to go back to that mental asylum."

He then gets an idea and releases all the previous creatures he's created. The creatures escape and run out of the lab. The group and the citizens travel deeper into the forest when the pink earth pony mare starts twitching.

"Pinkie, what are you doing?", the cyan pegasus asks.

"My Pinkie Senses are tingling.", the earth pony mare says.

"Well what's happening?", the alicorn asks.

They hear some growling and stop dead in their tracks. The look around to find the source of the growling. The yellow pegasus then sees glowing eyes in bushes. The pink mare inflates and stops.

"So what's happening?"

The eyes then emerge from the bushes revealing mutated creatures.

"Twilight, what are these monsters?", the white unicorn asks.

She then realizes that those creatures are made of their missing pets.

"Girls, those are the missing pets. They've all been butchered like the creatures the professor did ten years ago.", the alicorn says.

"Well we can't stay here that's for sure.", the orange earth pony says. "Everypony run!!!"

All the citizens run around as the creatures chase after the citizens. The all the citizens run out of the forest, but the group stays where they are. They all get cornered, they are about to be devoured by the experiments, their dragon friend jumps in and breaths his fire on all the monsters, burning them all alive. They open their eyes and see the dragon.

"Spike, it's you.", the alicorn says.

"What are you doing here?", the cyan pegasus says.

"I was really worried about you girls, so I went into the forest and was searching for you.", he says. "I was about to give up when I heard you all screaming in fear."

"Well we're glad you saved us, Spike.", the unicorn says.

They all then approach the charred remains of the experiments.

"Poor creatures. They didn't deserve to be mutilated.", the orange earth pony says.

"Well at least they're all finally at peace.", the yellow pegasus says.

"Come on, girls. We gotta find that professor and our pets.", the pink mare says.

The alicorn powers her horn again and leads off. The other ponies and dragon then follow her and search for the laboratory in the forest.
