Toren flew around with caution with a small gaze towards Twilight as they were flying to the Canterlot castle, and she was full of excitement that she was talking really fast that some of her words were slurred into a sentence of complete confusion. Toren tried to keep up in the conversation as he glided across the sky next to her.

Tired by the long flight they finally reached their destination through some clouds, the castle was in plain sight that shined a strong sparkle of light that reflected into water that rose up on one side of the cliff that was carefully structured by magic that held the mighty castle.

The two Alicorns tucked their wings together each giving a small nod to dive down to land. Unsatified with by whole situatuon of seeing the royal sisters Toren pulls out his wings, distraught with reuniting with old foes he stops completely. He looks around himself then looks down and sees Twilight who makes a small flutter in her wings giving her legs a moment to properly land on the ground that was guarded by a large gate, beside it were two guards laughing. Tired of running away from his problems Toren uses his magic to teleport behind Twilight even if it means he'd have to face his past that he has left long ago. Toren looks over and sees two guards infront of the gate laughing but they immediately got back into character once the two Alicorns faced them.

Twilight gives a small smile "Hello there we are here to see the Princesses.", her question lead the two guards into laughter.

Both Alicorns look at eachother confused by their behavior until Toren realizes who they were and gets nervous that his belly began to ache in agony, he covers it with his wings to sooth it down from hurting by his anxiety of reuniting with his old comrades that he trained with back when he was in the guard force in Canterlot until he was transferred to a different location.

"Well well well if isn't clumsy tail, ain't you a sight for sore eyes. Let me guess you're here to get your royal crown and shoes?", the grey unicorn laughs but was soon joined by the green mare pegasus who was in on his fun.

The other guard points at Toren mocking him "Yeah last time we saw you Celestia kicked ya out of the guard force! She probably thought you were gunna take her place!"

The two ponies laughed themselves to the ground full of laughter of their own jokes towards Toren who was blushing and covering his face with his wing embarrassed.

However Twilight was not impressed infact she was down right annoyed by their immature behavior at her new friend who did nothing wrong but before she had the chance to respond a blue pegasus in golden armor stood behind them and lifts them with a green aura that came from her eyes. Her powers caught all fours ponies off guard, baffled in silence the guards looked away scared realizing it was their captain who was not pleased nor patient enough to allow them to explain their story.

"BulkShield! BoltWing! Why aren't you in your posts and doing your jobs!", before they spoke she pounds their heads on the ground.

Irritated by their inappropriate behavior the blue pegasus places them on the ground back on their hooves giving each back their spears "I don't want to hear it! Just let them in and make it quick! Now!"

Boltwing gulps "Y-es Captain FlutterRose", the guards nod open the large gate without question.

The captain looks at the Alicorns with a cold expression "Come I'll take you to see the Princesses, hurry up I don't have all day! Let's go!", without hesitation the two quickly followed her to the castle.

The blue mare takes the lead and excorts them to the doors that opened with grace that allowed each pony to enter at their own time. However time was against anypony who was with the blue pegasus with chaotic powers, once you face her all fear becomes the reality. Twilight wanted to take her to her castle for research to understand this mare's rare abilities to gain better knowledge of her source of power and how she claimed it.

The blue mare looks to the side "Here is the door it will take you to the throne room, and Toren it's good to see you again at least there be somepony I know that actually has a brain will be working with me. Glad to see you came back home all in one piece."

Toren smiles softly at his old marefriend "I've missed you Rosey and congratulations on the position, Captain" , he winks towards her which causes the blue mare turning red slightly triggering all their history of being an item before he left her to take his place as captain.

Their eyes locked for a final mere moment before she quickly used her magic to disappear to escape the void of an awkward situation. Toren began to slowly remember a time where the two creatures who shared a chemistry and the same passion to protect all Equestria and the ponies that once lived in the danger of darkness.

Twilight looks at Toren curious on how he managed to be with FlutterRose and why they broke things off but that was for another time, she began to walk to the door to introduce Toren to the Princesses.

"Just wait til the Princesses meet you they'll be just as trilled as I am this is so exciting!", the purple Alicorn began her to talk to herself of possibilities of him being a lost heir, or an old student of Celestia's.

All her thoughts began to take control that left her to not even think about Toren. Unsure on what lies in store he takes a small breath to ease his beating heart that wanted to leave his chest and run away, he goes to Twilight who was so lost in her thoughts that she crashed into the door.

Toren looks away to hide his cruel smirk desperately holding in his laugh, instead he goes to her and places his claw-hoof on her shoulder so he could see her face that soon was upon his gaze with a small turn of her body.

She blushes "S-sorry sometimes I get excited and very energetic when new things happen. Well here we are, you ready?"

Toren looks at the door with a small gulp in fear "Ready as I'll ever be"

Seeing that her friend was nervous she smiles softly as her wing gently lifts his face so their eyes could meet. Still learning more about him she saw herself where she was scared to when she became a princess and not wanting to her family or friends down, but has learned that the only way to gain closesure is by doing the things you fear most.

Twilight softly smiles with her eyes "Don't worry Toren, there is nothing to be afraid of I'm sure everything will be just fine. Come on we will go together."

Tired of being a lonely coward he nods towards the Princess of Friendship, assuring her that he was finally ready to face them at last. She walks by his side to wait with him for the doors to open. Without knowing slowly the two doors began to separate and widen far apart against the walls of the throne room, out in the distance the two Alicorns could see the Princesses signing papers together.

Toren's body locks up once his vision turned towards Princess Celestia, her face turned red in complete shock seeing her old student and closest friend. Toren was her proudest pupil and most loyal solider when they fought wars against Sombra years ago, she couldn't help but stare at the poor stallion who was frozen in fear after not seeing her for over a thousand years, it was alot to take in for both of them. However by Celestia's side was her little sister Luna who showed no fear to anyone not even to her own sister. Curiously Luna went to Toren slowly in confidence and walked around him to get a good view of his unique statue, without a word she walks back to her sister who was silent and looking the other way but instead was looking at a glass stained window.

With a small sigh Luna lifts her head high then speaks "Greetings to you Princess Sparkle is it always a plensure to see you. How can we assist thee?"

Twilight smiles "No princess everything is fine, but there is someone I'd like you to meet. Toren this is Princess Celestia and Luna."

Toren pulls his wings out and bows towards them in respect and in return Luna does the same until she sees his cutiemark then looks at her sisters and sees that they are the same. A royal cutiemark, and then at that moment she realized who he truly was, and where he came from.

Luna's eyes widen slightly "Sister? Is thou seeing why I am seeing?! Sister?"

Celestia was silent not even her breath could be heard, all she could do at this point was look at Luna and nod assuring her the truth with her sad eyes of regret. Without speaking she slowly walks to Toren until she stops right infront of him with a soft expression on her face and small tears that reached her eyes.

"Toren, after all of these years you have finally returned to me. And look at you, you have become a fine young stallion" she says as she lifts his chin up to her gaze so she can see him.

Toren was confused by her words, this wasn't the response he was prepared for let alone something she would say to him after all he has done to her, and how he left things on a hard note after they fought against Sombra, and how he blamed her for his curse.

Not wanting to cause another fight he gently removes her hoof "Forgive for my words but should know you? I mean to me it almost sounds like you've meet me before we actually meet."

She looks down then back at him "Yes we have, you were only a baby but... a mother never forgets."

Those final words hit Toren as if he was stabbed into the heart with a blade, how could he not known about this. Mixed with emotions all he could do was back away from her and stare at her like she was a complete stranger in his eyes, and in a way she was now.

Toren's mind was spinning in rage, how could his own mother abandoned at birth, fought by his side knowing that he was her son, her own flesh in blood and yet never told him when she had more than many chances to admit it. This news placed a dark hole in his heart as for Twilight she was so lost in thought that she was red in the face like a filly getting her first kiss.

Twilight points at Celestia shocked "Mother!? You're his mother!? And he's your son!? I don't understand how could this happen!? With who? When? What!?"

Luna places a hoof on Twilight's sholder "Please Twilight calm thyself this isn't a story that is easy for my dear sister to speak of. It happended so long ago."

Celestia sighs and looks at them trying to be brave "Thank you sister but it's time I reveal my past and tell the truth, all of it"

Toren looks at her hurt by what she has done to him and how she had betrayed him, leaving him like an unwanted guest that was cast aside. Struggling to keep his emotions inside he gives her a nasty glare and wanted to make her suffer for all she put him through.

He growls and shows his fangs "I don't understand why didn't want me!? Were you shamed by me!? Afraid to lose your pretty tiara because of me!? Why did you give me up!?"

His tone and harsh words broke poor Celestia’s heart in half. She never wanted to her son to be this way, but she had to face her consequences for her actions, even if it meant losing her son. Toren deserved the truth nomatter what the damage was, she was ready to accept it.

In tears she looks a him "Oh Toren it pains me to say this... but I wasn't ready. When I sent Luna to the moon I was alone to rule Equestria, when you were born I wanted to give you a better life where you were loved, protected, but believe me it was the most hardest thing I ever had to do."

Toren’s heart sunk down to his belly with guilt, she didn't deserve to be treated so harshly but he was hurt, confused, and wanted answers. Slowly he looked at his mother and saw all her pain, regret, and sorrow inside her eyes that reaches to her soul. Within an instant he knew she loved him and earned him to have happiness m, her choice had good intentions not embarrassment but in sacrifice with an unconditional love she had for him that never stopped.

Softly he looks at her "I know you wanted me to be here. I'm sorry for I said you were just trying to be a good mom by giving me a chance to be happy. But that doesn'the mean I will forgive you, but I must know...who is father?"

Luna looks at Celestia and sees that she was struggling desperately to say his name but words never came. So being the loyal sister she was went forward to speak on her behalf to reveal the hidden past to her nephew who longed to know his father's name.

Her face shifted to a small stern look "He is Discord", her tone was dark but gentle as it fades to a silent pause.

Both Twilight and Toren were each traumatized in shock by Luna's response. How could the Princess fall in love with a creature that was not even the same species, or shared the same personality, they were complete opposites. Twilight was trying to put together a story in her head on how Discord managed to win over her old mentor and create a baby with her just the thought made her visualside and body cringe.

Celestia looked out the window not knowing what else to say in the matter that she just revealed her biggest secret to her old student and to her only son. Her heart sunk down to her stomach so deep that it was painful with every breath that escaped her mouth. Luna went to her sister and placed her hoof in her shoulder asduring her that the past in done and can't be erased.

Celestia looks at Luna with a small expression on guilt "Luna please. I am grateful that you're trying to to help but this is something I have to do and live with." Her tone was gentle and yet had a rude unsettling feeling in the back of her voice causing tension between them.

Twilight walls slowly to Celestia with caution "Does Discord know about Toren?"

Her question lead her to a insuring situation, almost impossible to describe the amount of drama she was getting herself into. Twilight watched as Celestia turns her head to her so she can have the answer even it meant hearing the hard way.

The Princess sighs "No I'm afraid not and the reason why is because I took away his memories of us together that way he'd never know about Toren. Or me. I did all of this to protect him if Discord were to ever return."

Toren looks at her confused "But I don't understand? Why would he want to hurt me?"

"Because Toren if he were to know that you are alive and that you're his son he would try to harm you to get revenge on me"

Twilight went between them gently "But princess Discord is reformed now maybe he'll understand."

"Do you really think Discord will understand?"

"There's only one way to find out! We will have Discord meet Toren and tell the truth. I'm sure everything will be fine."

Both Toren and the sisters looked at eachother worried on the possibilities of Discords reaction to this big news, as for Twilight she was internally screaming hoping that this wasn't going to backfire her in the face, literally.

After hours of preparing the castle for Twilight the mare's were starting to get board and annoyed as they waited for they arrival.

Rainbow was laying on her back across the ground looking up at the ceiling "I'm so hungry and so bored! How much longer is this going to be I'm starving and it's not just me anymore!"

Rarity softly laughs as she braids Fluttershy's hair "Oh I'm sure they'll be here soon and we have much to talk about after all Toren is the first AlI corn that can ppossibly be a prince!", with excitement her magic pulls Fluttershy's mane leaning it to one side almost pulling Fluttershy to the ground.

With a small yelp Fluttershy taps the white mare's leg "Um Rarity I'm thrilled that you're excited about Toren but can you um please not pull my hair, please?"

Aj looks over and sees the unicorn all flushed over this new stallion that it made her face fluster in jealously "Now Rarity there's no need to get worked up on this Toren guy. Besides you're to beautiful for him anyways."

Rarity let's out a small laugh "Oh Applejack darling please you're just jealous"

"Jealous of what? The only thing I'd be jealous of is not having you-your mane!"

"What about my mane? Are you saying I'd look better bald?!"

"No Rarity I'm saying I'd be jealous if I didn't have!"

Not wanting to see a fight Starlight goes between the angry blushing mares "Alright you two calm down its not a competition."

Sunburst slowly walks behind her and smiles "I couldn't have said it better myself", his tone started Starlight until see saw him at first glance.

Starlight hugs Sunburst excited to see her old friend "Sunburst you're here!? But I thought you couldn't come?"

"Well I thought it would be nice to see where you live and to check out the scenery and to see you of course. I thought it would be a good change of pace."

Before he could get another word out Starlight was gone from his sight to greet Twilight's family "Hello Candence, Shining Armor it's so good to see you both again."

Shining Armor smiles "Like wise Starlight and Twilight has told us your progress and how well you have been with my sisters lessons. Hope she hasn't given ya to much knowing Twily she likes to be an overachiever in her tasks. Hey! Speaking of Twily where is she?"

A pink fluffy tailed mare pops right infront of the prince "Twilight is with the Princesses with a brand new Alicorn and she wanted him to meet them! Something about him being a new prince! Or was that was an old foe! Either way it's a dramatic approach with a twist of mystery!", her eyes narrowed as she disappeared with her forthwall abilities that nobody ever dared to question.

Both Candence and Shining Armor look at eachother in disbelief of the news of a new Alicorn let alone the first one to be a prince without marriage. Trying to remember his past victories in the guard force there was only one Alicorn he knew that was his best friend and trusted right hand guard when they fought and trained together. Although he hasn't seen him in years and sadly has no knowledge of him actually being alive, married, let alone here in Equestria.

His thoughts were soon cut off when his wife spoke "A new Alicorn? I have not received word about this? Perhaps we will know once Twilight comes back with this stranger", Shining Armor was silent agreeing with his beautiful princess, however that small moment was gone soon after Twilight attacks him with a huge hug.

"Shining you're here! Cadence!", Cadence smiles as she does her hoof shake with her sister in law and in return recieved a huge hug. Curious to know what was going on FlurryHeart flew to her mom but only to soon be grabbed by her excited aunt.

The young filly giggles as Twilight kisses her cheeks "FlurryHeart! Oh my goodness you've gotten so big! Can you say Aunty Twily?", the purple mare waited with big eyes hoping but only got the filly to giggle as the end result.

All Twilight could do was kiss her little cheeks and blows on her tummy in gratitude of her little niece who was now almost five years old "She has grown much she has grown since our last meeting. It seems only yesterday she was born."

Cadence nods "Yes she has and her magic has gotten stronger as well as her flying abilities. I just hope her magic will mature as she grows so that she'll be able to not be so overwhelmed with her powers."

Shining Armor eyes begun to water at the thought of his daughter growing up "She's already growing up so fast..who knows how much we have with her until she...grows up..", the stallion breaks down and cries on the ground like a foal in a tantrum.

Poor Candence puts her hoof on her forehead by her husbands behavior, while the rest of the group of ponies stare unsure what to really do to help the emotional stallion. Trying not to laugh Toren goes behind Shining Armor with a gentle approach towards his old friend he has fought with over the years in their friendship.

Toren sits down and folds his arms "Well well still haven't changed a bit Shining you're still a cry baby", the stallion sniffs and looks up and sees his Toren smirking at him with a wink.

He smiles "Toren!? No it can't be?!"

"It is the one and only!"

"Where have you've been?"

"Well after you left to be Captain I was transferred to a different location in three Crystal Empire for an investigation", Starlight's ears perked up in shock by his comment and sits by Twilight to listen to the stranger.

Sunburst looks at Starlight and realizes that she was gazing at the strange new Alicorn, he blood began to boil in jealousy of her even having an interest in the mysterious stallion that she barely knows when he has known her for years. Irritated by Toren he walKS over to the food and gets some treats to relax his nerves that burner his bodybuilding up wrath towards Toren.

Starlight looks over to Twilight "If Toren was at the Crystal empire wouldn't we have seen him? I mean you and I have been there many times after Flurry was born and he was never seen and he's almost as tall as Princess Celestia! How can we trust him?"

Twilight looks at Starlight gently "Starlight I have never seen you like this before, do you think you're going a little bit to far?", her question lead to Starlight giving her a small glare that soon caused Twilight to blush very fast.

Toren was laughing with Shining Armor by their stories of them training as comrades that always liked to get into trouble "Wait do you remember that time when I turned Captain ThunderShield into a mare for a whole day?"

Shining Armor chuckles "Oh how can I forget he was so stunned by it that he cried and ran away. Then the next day we had to clean the toliets and yet we still pulled pranks!"

Toren’s face then frowns "Yeah until you became Captain and ruined the fun!", Shining Armor grew silent and glares at Toren.

Not even a second passed until they both started to laugh again so hard that they were on the ground crying. The mares look at eachother then at Twilight who goes to them but only to tap on her brother to get his attention and whispers into his ear before looking at her slowly with a soft expression on her face and wipes away his eyes as he stood up with Toren.

With a smile she makes eye contact with her brother "And you both have turned into wonderful soldiers. But Shining Armor you never told you've met Toren, especially since he's an Alicorn."

The stallion runs his head embarrassed "It's not that I didn't want to Twily but life has changed so much I never really got to it.", Toren looks at him surprised.

Candence walks forward which made Toren nervous "Well even so she knows now and if it weren't for Toren we wouldn't have been together in the first place."

"Oh yeah I almost forgot that you and Candence were very close when we were dating, it's almost like you to were somehow connected in a way that made us come together. Kinda like you were part of her family like a brother."

Toren gives a small smile with his ears held back "Ah yeah, infact we were so close you could say we were basically family. That was the good old days.".

Toren looks away for a moment trying to hold back his emotions but quickly sees that Starlight was watching him. Intrigued by her beauty he stares at her each looking into one anothers eyes with no response. The stallion smiles gently towards the red faced mare who quickly looked away and walked to her friends so that she could focus on something else. Wanting to get to know her he slowly walks to her side and clears his throat to get her attention but she doesn't budge.

Toren looks at her with wonder "So Starlight is it? Aren't you Princess Sparkle's student? I have heard you have very gifted powers? And very b-beautiful"

"I can only guess who gave you that information what else has she told you? Wait don't tell me the last thing I need is to have another stallion try to sweep me of my hooves by her adoring words about her so called student!", before he could speak another word she walks away to her room leaving the young draconequus-pony alone in the center of the room.

After the party was beginning to end Shining Armor tries to get a glimpse of Toren but could not find him. Not wanting to ruin the fun he sneaks away to the castle doors and closes them from behind so no one could see him escape, once he looks outside he could see his friend laying near a small duck pond by the castle grounds.

Shining Armor cautiously walks over to him and sits near his side "Hey buddy what's wrong aren't ya enjoying the party?"

Toren sighs "I'm just not in the mood for dancing I'm afraid.."

"Wanna talk about it?"

"Thanks but I don't really want to talk right now.. it's complicated"

"What is? Come on you can tell me! We're like brothers, you can always come to me", Toren looks up and sees him with puppy dog eyes wanting to know.

With a soft laugh he sighs "It's just all of my life I knew I was different and I never really felt like I belonged anywhere until today when I found out the truth."

Shining Armor tilts his head "About what?"

"I just found out that Princess Celestia is my mother, I'm a prince Shining..and now that I finally know who I am I'm not sure I can accept it..", he stares at his reflection sad about the whole thing.

As for Shining Armor he smiles and puts his hoof on his friends shoulder "I know how you feel. I remember when you introduced me to Cadence and how worried I was that I was never gonna be enough for her. But then I realized that only I had to make that choice and you'll know Toren when you're ready."

They looked deeply into eachother as they hug one another brotherly until they realized that they were hugging each other and stopped immediately blushing scarlet red.

Toren looks at him "Thanks Shining"

"You're welcome buddy", he gets up and extends his hoof to him "Come on let's go back be they start to worry and get the wrong idea"

Toren smiles and grabs his hoof "Oh and I was hoping for a kiss"

Shining blushes and turns to him to see Toren wink towards him with a big smile on his muzzle.

Toren wraps his wing around him "I'm kidding Shining besides I got a mare in mind, and no it's not your sister. It's her student"

The stallion eyes widened surprised "Starlight? Are you sure?
She can be well difficult to handle no offense she's pretty but not really your type"

Toren’s eyes narrow and begin to glow with a gentle tone "Easy Shining Armor I like you but I can still turn you into a mare like last time when you made fun of a mare I liked. Besides you're married so you have nothing to be worried about and be grateful it's her and not your sister", soon after his words were spoken he begins to walk away leaving poor Shining Armor with his mouth wide opened shocked.

Toren sighs and looks over "Oh come on Shining Armor if I dated your sister that would be the last thing I'd ever do. And I'll admit you looked rather adorable in that dress, I still have the photos."

Shining Armor didn't move "Y-you said you'd never speak about that again! You promised you wouldn't! I can't even cast a single flirt spell without being reminded of the day you did that to me. Just you mentioning it makes my stomach hurt..", Toren looks at him surprised and blushes slightly.

He sighs "Okay sorry for bringing it up. Now come on let's go already. Or I'll show your wife the pictures."

The Alicorn starts to run away laughing as Shining Armor runs after him and tackles him down to the ground "No you're not give me those! Toren come on please!", before they got off of eachother they heard a hoof next to them.

Each stallion looked at eachother as they were on the ground together in a intriguing postion then slowly looked up to find it was Candence with a small expression on her face that soon caused both Stallions to shiver in fear. Nervously they spoke above eachother explaining the situation confusing the mare completely, so much that she uses magic to create a bubble around them so she can think.

She clears her throat "I know you were to close but I never knew it was this information. And in the future make sure you two our in a room not outside where children could see you, and if you desire this kind of thing perhaps you could include me since I am married to you mister. As for you Toren I'm glad you've noticed that the Prince is the best possibility even if it means he'd have to face his wife afterwards. I won't speak of this to anypony it will be our little secret."

The stallion blushed baffled by her response that she even thought that they were an item and that Candence would even consider that kind of relationship between them and her. Toren looks away to hide his cruel smirk desperately holding in his laugh, as for Shining Armor he gets up and shakes the dirt off while kicking Toren in the stomach.

Toren instantly felt the pain that he covered his face with his wing to hide his tears. Unable to speak he remains on the ground as he watched with one eye the couple giving small kisses and continued to watch them as Cadence whispers into Shining Armor's ear.

Once he gained back his body he gets up and walks inside the castle with the couple, he noticed that Shining Armor was slowing down so he could walk with Toren.

With a sigh he looks at him "My wife wants us to have a get together tonight once everypony is asleep she says that she wants to talk to us. A lecture and punishment becuase she's still mad at us."

Toren looks at him confused "But she was so calm how do know she's mad?"

"Oh believe me I know when she bit my lip and whispered into my ear. Don't worry buddy she'll go easy on you becuase you're her friend as for me well I don't be able to walk right for at least a week."

Toren turns at her and puts his claw-hoof on his stomach as he continues to walk trying to calm his nerves down and his sore muscles by the fight earlier today that was now even more uncomfortable by Shining's kick. Feeling uneased by the pain he walks to a quiet room and lays down on the couch trying to not think of it, but it was no use it kept coming back like something was attacking him from the inside. He began to worry that he tries to use magic to place a healing spell but it shot back to his head.

Toren sighs confused "What the? How it that possible that spell should have worked. I hope this isn't because of the fact that I was with Shining Armor. Cadence wouldn't curse me? Would she? I guess I'll find out in the morning... if I can even sleep..", he moans by the pain with a small growl annoyed by it entirely, wondering what's going on but had to focus on sleep so he can start a new day ready for the doors to open to his new life as the new long lost prince, and future King to Equestria.

Eeup Toren is Celestia's little baboo. And I love the relationship between Shining Armor and Toren, so cute! Like two brothers who like eachother but never show it. XD
What do y'all think Discord will do when he finds out about Toren? Who knows really. Haha
