"Hey, hey are you awake?" said a voice who was poking Jinx with his hoof, the only replied from her was a groan of pain, as when Jinx opened her eyes she saw a Thestral with a midnight blue coat and wings, a black mane and tail, grey eyes, and a cutie mark that was a red star on a black wand and age wise he was nine. What was unusual about this Thestral was that he had regular pony eyes, and his wings were a mix of Thestral and Pegasus.

"Oh what happened?" Jinx groaned as she sat up.

"I don't know........but I do know you're in the Everfree forest." he said.

"What." she said with her voice getting a little high, making her head throb once more. "Um........who are you?"

"Oh!, right my name is Neptune." he said.

"My name is Jinx." she said.

Neptune began to circle around Jinx eyeing her curiously.

"Um.......what are you doing?" she asked.

"Hmmm I've never seen a Thestral like you before, none that's colorful like you or ........pretty like you or has a.........cat tail?" he said.

"Thank you?" she said "Wait!, did he just call me pretty?" she thought.

"You're welcome." he said.

"What are you doing here?" she asked.

"Well it's nighttime and Thestrals are manly awake a night." he said.

"But what are you doing here all by yourself?" she asked.

"I was just going for a walk." he said

"Won't your parents be worried?, cause you don't look that older than me." she said

"I don't have a family." he sighed, then Jinx put a hoof on his shoulder and gave him a smile.

"Then were do you live?" she asked.

"I live in a big tree not to far from here." he said.

"You shouldn't have to live in a tree." she said.

"I have no place else to go." he said.

"You could come back to my house!" she said with a smile.

"Really?" he said.

"Yeah......if I can find my way back that is." she said.

"Only choice is to walk." he said

"I guess, so I'm in the everfree forest?" she asked

"Yes." he answered

"Okay." she said

"How did you get here?" he asked

"Well I was practicing magic with my dad, then my magic backfired on me and turned me into a Thestral from a pony." she said

"Ohhhhhh, Wait! what?, You can do magic? and you were a pony?" he asked.

"Yeah............I'm the daughter of Discord." she said.

"Alright that explains it." he said.

"Yup!" she said.

"So if you can turn into a Thestral, how come you haven't turned back into pony?" he asked.

"Because I think i'm permanently stuck like this." she said.

"How?" he asked.

"My magic backfired on me and with it being chaos magic it's a lot more difficult to deal with." she answered.

"Well I think you look nice as a Thestral." he said, which made Jinx blush a little.

The two walked in silence for the next couple of minutes before Jinx saw her family's cottage off in the distance.

"THERE IT IS!" she squealed

"There what is?" he asked

"My house!, come on!" she said, almost dragging him along the way.

Fluttershy was frantically pacing around the family's cottage.

"She not in Ponyville or at Twilight's Castle!" said Fluttershy.

"Hmmm well she's not in Canterlot or the Crystal Empire, I even went to Zecora's and I believe she tole me not to worry." said Discord

"How could she tell you, not to worry?" said Fluttershy

"I never been able to figure it out, but Zecora tends to be right about a lot of things she says." said Discord

"Wait!, you can feel strong magical beings right?" Fluttershy

"Yes! and I already scanned most of the Everfree forest and didn't pick up anything, which was interesting." said Discord

"How so?" asked Fluttershy

"Jinx may have a small portion of chaos magic compared to amount I have inside me, so Jinx's magical signal is about the same as let say Starlight, however I should be able to sense another chaos being." said Discord

"Could something in the Everfree forest have hid her magical signal?" asked Fluttershy

"I don't believe there's anything like that, this is strange and not the good kind." said Discord

"So that's your house?" said Neptune as he and Jinx were getting close the Shy Family Cottage, they stopped in order for Neptune to catch his breath as Jinx had almost dragged him when the cottage first came into view.

"What's wrong with it?" Jinx asked

"Nothing!, it's just that you said I shouldn't have to live in a tree, yet your house is in a tree." said Neptune

"Oh." said Jinx as the two continued walking.

"Do you think your parents will be okay with this?" asked Neptune.

"Of course!, my mom will never turn away any creature in need." Jinx answered giving him a comforting smile.

As two got closer and closer Neptune got more nervous, even the reassurance from Jinx didn't do that much. When she opened the door Jinx was quickly met with a hug.

"Jinx!, oh my gosh i'm so glad you're home, we were so worried that something terrible happened to you!." said Fluttershy

"I-i-i'm fine mom, you're kinda crushing me." said Jinx, Fluttershy then released her daughter.

"Alright now!, I must ask the question, who's this guy?" asked Discord who made a few neon arrows appear over Neptune.

"Oh right!, this is Neptune and he found me in the Everfree forest and helped me find my way home." said Jinx.

"I knew you were there!" exclaimed Discord.

"Umm.....Neptune thank you for finding Jinx and bringing her home, but it's starting to get late, do you need help getting back home?" asked Fluttershy.

"Well you see-" started Neptune.

"Neptune kinda doesn't have a home." finished Jinx.

"That's terrible!, a young pony like your self should always have a home." said Fluttershy.

"I lived in a big tree in the Everfree, sooooo......I guess that would be one." said Neptune.

"Nonsense you can stay here with us." said Fluttershy as she gave Neptune a hug.

"Wait what!? Fluttershy I-" started Discord but stopped when Fluttershy started to give him the stare.

"Discord can you get Neptune a pillow and a blanket?" asked Fluttershy.

Discord snapped his claws and made a pillow and blanket appear in front of Fluttershy.

"Thank you Discord, Neptune you can sleep on the couch if that's alright with you?" asked Fluttershy.

"Yes, thank you Fluttershy." said Neptune.

"Your Welcome, Discord I think it's time for all of us to get some sleep." said Fluttershy as she walked upstairs.

"Alright well then I'll see you both in the morning." said Discord snapping his claws and disappearing.

"So that's your family?" asked Neptune.

"Well actually..............it's our family." said Jinx as she quickly gave him a hug and headed upstairs, leaving Neptune sitting in silence.

So I spent about an hour looking at celestial names for Neptune, trying to find a name that sounded right.
