My name is Dusky Sky, and I am the daughter of Princess Twilight Sparkle.You probably noticed that I'm not called Princess Dusky Sky or any fancy titles like that. And that is because for the very simple fact that I'm not a Princess. I'm a pegasus.

But my older sister, Starry Night, she's a alicorn. In fact her cutie mark is specilised in being a ruler. My good friend Surprise drew a picture of her cutie mark and stuck it in this book.
Starry Night is good at everything. And thats no exgaeration. She's really good at magic, and maths, and flying, and she's also really helpful and has good manners.
She and mom can talk for hours on end on subjects I can't even start to comphrenend. The only thing I'm good at is arguing and flying, and even those two things can get me into trouble.
So, feeling conflicted, I do what anypony would do. I join the batponies and try to help them gain independence from griffins.
