My Only Chance

A/N Sorry this took so long sorry. but i have had a lot of things going on and a little bit of writers block so, again i'm sorry it took almost two weeks for an update.

Chapter 6

When that explosion went off I was near deafened by the pressure that it put on my ears. I had my eyes closed and had my hands on my ears to try to make the ringing stop, then I felt a large amount of pressure on my chest and a slight stinging sensation. During that feeling I also had the air knocked out of me while it felt like I went through a wall, then as the pain was coursing throughout my body my back hit something yet again sending the levels of pain to something I have never known existed, But yet again I felt more pain shoot through my back as I felt my body come to rest. I could start to feel myself start to slip into unconscious, then everything went black.

POV Scootaloo,

After my hearing came back I looked around and saw that there was a hole in the wall, well there were two holes one going from the bathroom to the hallway and then another going from the hall way to Nicks room. I looked to my right and saw Twilight standing there looking a little disoriented, she was wobbling back and forth trying to keep herself up. Then once she regained control of her body she looked at me, “Twilight?” I asked in confusion. “Yes it is me come on we have to hurry before that monster gets back here.” She said looking worried. I then turned around and saw that Nick was gone; I remembered he was standing near me where the two holes are.

“Oh no Twilight what did you do?” I said running out of the bathroom into the hallway, then I made a quick turn to go to Nicks room and I could hear Twilight following me. I made it into the room but I didn’t see Nick anywhere. “Scootaloo we don’t have time we have to go now!” she said light up her horn. Her horn only got brighter and all I could do was shield my eyes to make sure I didn’t go blind from the intense light coming from her. Then it felt like I got pulled through a tube that was filled with a thick liquid almost like honey.

We were now standing in Twilights library surrounded by her friends, my friends, and the Princesses. Then I had realized what had happened, I was teleported by force back to Equestria. “Scootaloo are you ok now?” Twilight said. I looked at her with intent to kill in my eyes. “Don’t you dare talk to me.” I said flatly. Twilight recoiled from what I had said to her as well as everypony else did the same. “Scootaloo what’s wrong?” Twilight asked. “What’s wrong?  What’s wrong? WHAT’S WRONG!? YOU TOOK ME AWAY FROM NICK IS WHAT’S WRONG. You know the so called monster that you shot through a wall in his own home. THAT’S WHAT’S WRONG.” I screamed at Twilight, every step I took towards her she took one back. She had tears welling up in her eyes from the way I was screaming at her. Then I stopped once I thought I heard a familiar voice.

“Nick is that you?” I screamed whipping around. I then noticed that all of Nicks stuff was in the room, but I saw a pile of stuff that had a foot sticking out of it. I ran over to it and started to rip stuff away as quick as I could, I had uncovered half of Nick in a matter of seconds. “You Know…*cough*… you should be a lot nicer to Twilight for bringing you back here.” He said as he pulled a hand up to his mouth when he coughed.

POV Nick,

“You know…*cough*… you should be a lot nicer to Twilight for bringing you back here.” I said, I put my hand up when I coughed and pulled it back down to see blood spattered all over it. “ Nick you have a huge gash in your chest.” She about screamed. “I know.” I said as I showed her my hand. She started to freak out once I did that, so I felt bad now. “Twilight….. could you please come here for….. a second?” I spoke slowly trying to take in as much air as possible as I felt the blood flooding my lungs. For a little bit I didn’t see her. “Twilight…. please?” I begged.

I saw Twilight walking up to me out of the corner of my eye, and she stopped right in front of me. “I just… I just…*cough-cough*… I just wanted to say you did the right thing, you saw an animal that you didn’t know that was close to Scootaloo, and so you protected her. I know I am on my last few breaths since I can feel the blood in my lungs taking up more room, but I am just happy to be in Equestria with the Princesses, the Elements of Harmony, and The Cutie Mark Crusaders. So Twilight I don’t want you to feel bad for what you did to me *cough* bec-because you did the right thing, and Scootaloo I’m sorry I wasn’t able to make you happy…” I spoke out not really able to see anything as the darkness slowly started to consume my sight.

I must say death is a weird feeling, since you can still hear everything around you for some time, but you just can’t see it and that is what bothered me the most. I could only hear Scootaloo sobbing and talking to somepony but I couldn’t make out the words. I know a lot of people say that in death there is always a light at the end of a tunnel, well they were hella wrong. It is nothing but darkness, and when I mean darkness I mean you can’t see shit. While I was standing in the darkness not able to see anything I heard an explosion and it felt like an earthquake rocked me through out of the darkness.

POV Scootaloo,

“,and Scootaloo I’m sorry I wasn’t able to make you happy…” he said as he closed his eyes and let out his last breath. I sat there not moving, not breathing, I dare not even blink as I look at him laying there lifeless in a pile of his stuff. Now a lot of ponies would say I was in shock but I wasn’t, I just didn’t know what to do since my life has been nothing but bad ever since I was born, and as soon as I find the one thing that kinda made me happy it disappears as well. ‘You know it is almost like I am never meant to be happy, no I will not let that be. There has to be a way to save him.’ I thought to myself. “Twilight do you still know that spark spell?” I asked not taking my eyes off of him. “Umm, yeah why?” she responded. “Use it on him, but first see if you can close up his wound Rarity, and Twilight try to get the blood out of his lungs before you shock him. And don’t even fight with me, just do it.” I said in a stern voice.

They all did as I said and started to patch him up, then I watched as Twilight pulled all of the blood that was in his lungs out in what looked like an orb of her magic, then somehow she made it absorb in through his skin. I watched as they did what I said, once Rarity was done Twilight got close to him and started to channel the magic into her horn charging the spell. “Everypony back away.” Twilight said calmly. Everypony did as told and backed up to give her some room. Once everypony was backed up far enough Twilight shocked him.

Once he got shocked his whole body convulsed and became very stiff, but he still wasn’t breathing. “Hit him again.” I said flatly. She did as told and hit him again, but still nothing. “Again.”I said once again. As told she did so, and still nothing. “Again.” I said repeatedly. “Scootaloo if it hasn’t worked yet then it won’t work.” Twilight said softly trotting up next to Scootaloo. “Again.” I said just staring at him. “Scootalo-“ is all Twilight got out. “AGAIN!” I screamed at Twilight “YOU DID THIS SO YOU ARE GOING TO SEE IT THROUGH TILL THE END!” I finished. Then I heard the sound of a hoof falling onto the wood behind me as it came closer, and then I felt a leg wrap around my neck.

It was Rainbow Dash standing there looking at me with what almost looked like tears in her eyes, which made no sense because I have never seen her come close to crying once in my entire life. “Scoot’s, Twilight can’t do it anymore look at her,” she said pointing at her, “she is wiped out she can’t do it, please, just let it go.” She said to me looking me right in the eye. I was stunned that she was telling me to give up. “No,” I said flatly looking into her very soul. “You want me to give up once I have come so close to finding happiness, it’s not going to happen. You the amazing Rainbow Dash who has told me to never give up, wants me to quit once I have come so close to one thing that is special to me. And to think I always looked up to you, I was ALWAYS behind YOU as you tried your hardest to get on the Wonderbolts, and yet you are still trying and I am still supporting you. And you want ME to QUIT! I ALWAYS SUPPORTED YOU YET YOU HARDLY EVER SAID A WORD TO ME, AND I KNOW FOR A FACT I CAN COUNT THE NUMBER OF WORDS YOU SAID TO ME ON A QUAUTER OF ONE OF MY WINGS, BUT NOW THAT YOU ARE SAYING A FEW MORE WORDS TO ME YOU ARE TELLING ME TO GIVE UP!” I screamed at her shaking from the anger building within me.

Rainbow Dash stood there shocked not moving nor blinking with tears running down her face. Yet I was losing precious time to try to bring Nick back, I was thinking as fast as I could. Then it hit me I am standing in the room with the two most powerful Ponies in Equestria, the Princesses. I ran over to them with tears in my eyes, I was standing right before Princess Celestia. “Princess Celestia, Could you please help Nick by bringing him back to life or at least try your hardest to do so?” I asked hopeful that she would do as I ask. She looked down at me with a smile, my hopes raised with that smile. Then it turned into a sigh and a frown as she closed her eyes, which destroyed me since I now knew her answer. “I’m sorry Scootaloo but I cannot for I know not what it is or what it can do.” She said in a motherly voice that shattered my hopes and dreams of being happy.

Then it hit me I knew what he could do, “He is good I will show you.” I said turning around and running up to the pile of stuff that Nicks body lie on, And there his salvation rested under his hand. I grabbed it with my mouth and ran back to the Princesses, I through it down at Celestias hooves. “Look and see for yourself what he can do.” I said pointing at it. I watched as she picked it up in her magical grasp and brought it in front of herself and Luna. She flipped it open and I saw the shock go throughout her face. I watched as she flipped from page to page, then she put it down. “Still I am sorry My Little Pony, he might have very refine art skills but I still do not know if he is dangerous or not.” She said closing her eyes. “But sister surely thou must be jesting?” Luna asked questioningly. “I’m sorry Luna but I am not.” She said softly, as I just watched everything going back to normal right before my eyes. Me never to be happy, always being miserable and ignored by everypony other than my two closest friends. “And to think I thought you were kind?” I said looking straight at her. She opened her eyes and stared at me as I saw hints of red start to form on her cheeks mostly from anger. “I thought you all ways wanted all of your subjects to be happy, WELL NEWS FLASH MY LIFE HAS BEEN A LIVING TARTURUS SINCE I WAS BORN AND YET I DON’T SEE YOU DOING A THING ABOUT IT!” I screamed right at her. I heard everypony gasp behind me. “Hold your tongue.” She said to me softly. “No” I replied in return.

Now I saw Luna cowering away from her sister from what might happen. “Last warning, be quite.” She said through clenched teeth. “Or what are you going to do SEND ME TO THE MOON LIKE YOU DID TO YOUR OWN FLESH AND BLOOD SISTER, IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN HARD ON HER SINCE SHE HAD AT LEAST ONE PONY LOVE HER< BUT IT WOULD BE A TROT THROUGH THE PARK WITH ME SINCE NO PONY CARES ABOUT ME, SO GO AHEAD SEND ME TO THE MOON IT WON’T CHANGE ANYTHING. HA IT MIGHT EVEN MAKE ME HAPPY. BUT BEFORE YOU DO LOOK TO WHAT YOU MAKE YOUR OWN SISTER DO BEFORE YOUR OWN ALMIGHTY WRAITH!” I screamed at her once again. She looked over towards her sister gritting her teeth, but then she stopped just seeing that directing her anger towards me she was terrifying her own sister. Lunas Pupils were the size of quill tip staring directly at her raging sister fearing for her own life that she might be the one blamed. I watched as Celestias anger washed away and turned into regret. “Luna I-I’m so sorry!” she yelled as she broke down in front of me into a withering mess.

I watched as Luna slowly trotted over to her sister to comfort her, as she was comforting her Luna decided to talk to her. “Sister this is why we should bring it back for her, I’m sure neither one of us want to make any of our subjects upset. As you can clearly see she is fighting for him, so who are we to turn down her request?” Luna said while hugging Celestia around her neck. “I see what you mean Luna, and if she fights for him this hard he can’t be too bad … or evil.” Celestia said as she rose to her hooves. She slowly trotted over to me and started to hug me. “Scootaloo thank you for showing me what I have done and how I have acted, and if you ever need anything other then this just let me know. But I will say this, for the next month he we stay in the palace with me and Luna so we may access if he may stay or not, and you may come along as well if you wish?” Celestia said walking over to Nick. I just stood there speechless watching as she got ready. “Luna will you come assist me?” she asked her sister. “Of course sister.” Luna replied quickly galloping over to Nicks body. “We will combine over power to bring his body and his life back to what it once was, are you ready Luna?”

Luna looked up to her sister, “Ready sister.” They both put their horns close to one another’s and started to charge a spell. The longer they charged the brighter it got; eventually it got to the point where I couldn’t look because it was so bright. Then a noise started to consume me while shielding my eyes from the blinding light coming from the sisters. Then all at once everything stopped, it was if time itself had stopped because there was no sound and no movement. But then I heard the one thing that made me almost die from joy. “OW….Dafuq.”
