Chapters Spike's Early Days in Canterlot High
It had been a year since Twilight and her friends forgave the Dazzlings and became their friends. Spike had just started at Canterlot High School the same year, but it was summer break right now. He was in his room reading some comic books, and the comic book was hidden by one of his school books. His sister came up to his room and said, "Spike, you'd better be studying this time and not hiding a comic book behind that school book."
Spike said nothing and shooed her away, not looking up from his comic. When he heard her stomping into his room he sighed and closed the book and said, "Twilight, it's summer break, just leave me alone already."
Twilight had a throbbing vein on her forehead and said, "That's not the point! You flunked last year and should be taking your education more seriously! Do you want to end up flipping burgers for the rest of your life!? Cause if you can't even get through high school, that's the only job you'll be able to get!"
Spike rolled his eyes and said, "I've already got a job covered, heck, I've got a job right now."
Twilight scoffed and said, "Yeah, what job could you possibly have? You can't ride a bike, so it's obviously not the paper boy."
"Get real Twilight, I'm the lead guitarist in The Dazzlings."
Twilight's eyes went wide and said, "What!? You joined a band instead of getting a real job!? The Dazzlings may be my friends now, but I still don't think being in a band is a good career choice!"
"Tell that to this! Read it and weep Twilight!" he said pulling out a paycheck for a show he performed at, it was for $1250!
Twilight stood in shock at the paycheck, that was more than she had earned in her entire time working at the library. And when Spike said that was just for one show, that he had done two others, she lost it. "If you want to waste your life with rock and roll, that's fine by me! Just don't come crying to me for help when your band falls through and you have nowhere to go!" she said storming out of the room.
Spike chuckled lightly and took his guitar out of it's case. It's neck was a deep purple and it ended in a green double edged axe. He closed his door and started playing. He starting singing lyrics that he had written up, "Want to kiss your lips, like a sex-driven beast. Your body's better than a bountiful feast."
As he continued playing he heard his window open and a voice said "Hey Spike, nice lyrics!"
He jumped off his bed in shock before looking behind him to see Adagio, and he sighed, "Goddammit Adagio, I told you to stop doing that! Can't you just use the door?"
Adagio giggled and said, "But it's so much more fun when I surprise you. Plus you're cute when you're scared."
"Well if you want to come in, use the door. I don't want my parents thinking you snuck in here to rape me... again."
"Hey, that was all in good fun, and you enjoyed it, I felt you that one time. But fine, I'll use the door." she said jumping down from his window and knocking on the door, only for Twilight to answer. "Hey Twilight, can I come in?"
Twilight forced a smile and said, "Sure Adagio, come on in." She couldn't believe that she had given her brother a spot in her band.
Adagio looked at Twilight and said, "You know I can tell you're faking that smile, right? I am a Siren after all, I can sense negative emotions."
Twilight's smile faded into a frown and said, "I'm not angry with you, I'm just displeased, why did you let Spike join your band?"
Adagio grinned sheepishly and said, "Well... we needed a guitar player and he said he wanted to join... and... well, you know how your brother is with that sad eyes routine..."
Twilight chuckled and said, "So that's how he got you? Doesn't surprise me, that sad eye routine works on just about anyone, even Vice Principal Luna falls for it sometimes. Well, I guess I'm not that angry anymore, at least he's got a well paying job."
Adagio chuckled at the thought of Spike using his famous sad eyes on Luna. "Is Spike here? I wanted to talk to him about lyrics for our next song."
Twilight nodded and said, "He's up in his room, you know the way."
Adagio nodded and went up to Spike's room and sat down in a chair saying, "Sorry I surprised you, but I meant what I said. You're cute when you're surprised."
Spike sighed, "So what'd you really come here for?"
Adagio told him, "The girls couldn't think of any lyrics for a new song, and I thought you might have a suggestion."
Spike took out a notebook with a few lines written in them, "I've come up with a few verses, but not a full song."
Adagio looked through the lyrics and saw some that she liked and started singing them
"Anything you wanna do
I'm gonna do it too
Baby my body's just for you
If you let me take control
Baby, I got you I swear
More passion than you'll ever know
Baby, I'm about to take you there"
Spike blushed lightly as her beautiful voice made his lyrics even more lewd than they already were. He asked her "S-So, what do you think?"
She smiled and said, "I think they're great, do you mind if I show these to the girls? With these as a base, we might be able to think of something."
Spike nodded saying, "Sure, just don't let my sister hear them. She'll flip if she knows I wrote such lewd lyrics."
Adagio chuckled and said, "Don't worry Spike, I'll make sure to keep these lyrics away from Twi-"
All of a sudden she was cut off by Twilight clearing her throat and saying, "Keep what lyrics away from me?"
Spike gulped and said, "Ah crap."
His sister took the lyrics from Adagio and blushed at the ones her brother wrote down, "S-Spike! How could you possibly write such lewd lyrics!?"
Adagio slipped the lyrics away from Twilight and said, "See you at rehearsal tomorrow Spike!" before running out the door as fast as she could.
Spike was left shocked at how Adagio would just bail on him, and looked up at his sister, who was looming over him, the vein on her head looking like it was about to burst. "I can explain!"
Twilight retorted, "I don't think you can."
Suddenly, their mother called them down, "Twily, Spike, dinner's ready!"
They both sighed and said, "Coming mom!"
Twilight looked at her brother as they walked down and said, "This isn't over, you know that right?"
He chuckled saying, "Whatever you say Twilight, whatever you say." Knowing she would forget about it by tomorrow when she was studying.
Spike VS Twilight: Prank War
Spike was walking home from his rehearsal with The Dazzlings. He got a text from his mom that asked him to pick up some stuff at the store. He sighed, "Why am I the one who always has to do this? Well, I am the one who's always out of the house. Whatever..." he went to the store and picked up the things on her list and then headed home. He saw Twilight sleeping on the couch and smirked.
He thought to himself, "I just got some whipped cream at the store, this is perfect- Wait, if I do this it'll just escalate and things will eventually-" his thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the whipped cream can spraying and his eyes went wide thinking, "Oh God, I'm already doing it. Well, no going back now."
As he tickled Twilight's nose, she moaned lightly, before smacking the whipped cream into her face, waking her up. She looked at her hand, then her brother, who was whistling innocently holding the whipped cream behind his back. She frowned and said, "It's fucking on."
The next few days, the two siblings pulled all kinds of pranks. Spike had put fake eyeballs in Twilight's favorite cereal, and Twilight had countered by cutting a hole in the ass of his pants.
One time, Spike had gotten out of the shower and wrapped a towel around himself and headed to his room. He looked through his drawers to find all his clothes missing, "I'm gonna kill her."
Twilight and her older brother were standing outside next to a tree that had all of Spike's clothes in it. Shining Armor rubbed the back of his neck and said, "I don't know about this Twilight, I don't want to get caught up in another of your prank wars..."
Twilight snickered and said, "Don't worry Shiny, I'll take the heat for this. You've got to admit, it's gonna be funny watching him fish them out."
A few weeks later, the prank war was still in full swing. Twilight Velvet sighed saying to her husband, "I hate it when they get like this."
Night Light said, "Look on the bright side, at least Shining isn't involved in this one."
Velvet sighed and said, "I suppose that's true. They should be waking up soon. Guess we should get ready for the-"
She was interrupted by her daughter screaming at the top of her lungs, "SPIKE! YOU ARE SO FUCKING DEAD!" She ran downstairs and yelled, "Where is he!?"
Velvet said, "He left early to practice, what did he- OH MY GOODNESS, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR HAIR!?" she said looking over to her daughter, whose hair was dyed neon green.
"What do you think happened!? Spike happened! I can't go out like this! And I can't take a shower, I've got to get to Rainbow Dash's soccer game! I promised her I'd be there!" she screamed pulling at her hair as if it were just a wig.
Velvet tried to calm her daughter down by saying, "Honey, honey, calm down. Don't you think this prank war has gone on long enough? These things always end up in you and Spike getting in big trouble."
Twilight said, "You're right, I'll call a truce when I see Spike next, as long as you promise to punish him for this."
Velvet nodded, "That much I can agree to. Spike shouldn't have dyed your hair in your sleep. I suppose you'll just have to wear a hoodie if you want to go to Dash's game."
Twilight sighed and nodded getting her hoodie off the hooks and pulling the hood over her head, tucking her hair into it. She ran off to Rainbow Dash's soccer game and cheered for her friend. When the game was over she went out to eat with her friends and cringed when Rarity asked, "Twilight darling, if you don't mind me asking, why are you wearing that garish hoodie?"
She gulped and said, "If I show you guys what happens when a prank war with Spike goes too far, do you promise not to laugh?" When her friends nodded, she lowered her hood, revealing her neon green hair.
Rarity seemed the most shocked, "OH! MY! GOODNESS! You cannot go out looking like that!"
Twilight growled lightly saying, "Why do you think I was wearing the hoodie?"
Rainbow Dash tried her hardest not to laugh saying, "So Spike dyed your hair?"
She sighed and said, "Yeah, I'm not defending him, but I did throw all his clothes into a tree while he was in the shower..."
Applejack snickered saying, "You two never seem to learn that these prank wars of yours never end well for either of you."
Twilight glared at Applejack saying, "I don't need a repeat of my mom's lecture, thank you very much. Well, I'll see you later, I'm going to go wash this out." before getting up and going home. When she got home, she saw Spike over their father's knee getting a paddling. Not exactly the punishment she was thinking of, but whatever worked.
As Spike got off his father's knee, Night Light said, "Ok Twilight, now it's your turn."
"W-What!? But Spike took it too far!"
Night Light shook his head, "That doesn't excuse the fact that you retaliated with the first prank."
Twilight looked at her mother and whined, "Mom!" but her mother didn't listen to her pleas. She would just have to accept her punishment. After her paddling the two walked up to their rooms and she said, "Sorry I made you fish your clothes out of that tree."
Spike was still rubbing his ass but said, "Sorry I dyed your hair green."
Velvet asked her husband, "Do you think they've learned their lesson?"
Night Light looked at his wife and said, "If they didn't, we could always use the switch." he said this loud enough for his kids to hear on purpose.
Twilight and Spike shivered at the mention of the switch and looked at each other asking, "Truce?" they nodded at each other and hugged before Spike went to his room and Twilight went to wash the dye out.
Spike had been watching TV in his room when his cell phone buzzed. He picked it up and read a text from Adagio that said, "Meet us at the hangout, we've got a surprise for you." Spike sighed, knowing them it was probably another one of their fake rape attempts that he fell for every time. But when he got a second text saying, "This is purely business, no jokes." he thought it probably had something to do with the band.
He got his guitar and strapped it to his back and said, "Ma, I'm going out!" before walking downstairs and out the door. He was the only one besides The Dazzlings who knew where 'the hangout' was. It was an old cave that few people knew about down by the beach. That place brought back memories, both good and bad. The good memories were having fun with the girls, doing things that his parents would kill him if they knew he was doing them. The bad memories were literally all of the fake rape attempts that they pulled on him. But could he really blame them? There was always something about bad boys that chicks liked. Even Rarity, who always saw him as a cute little brother, had changed her opinion on him when he started being a bad boy.
He went down to the cave hidden within the cliff that was known as Mermaid's Bluff because of the strange way that the edge of the cliff looked like one of those mermaids on the bows of old sailing ships. He saw the girls waiting for him with some sodas, pizza, and a stack of papers. "So what's up?"
Sonata jumped at him squealing, "You're here!"
Adagio sighed at her sister's reaction, pulling her off Spike. Sonata was the one who openly showed her affection towards Spike. She cleared her throat and said, "Listen Spike, we came up with some great lyrics for our next song."
Spike raised an eyebrow in confusion and said, "You called me to the hangout for lyrics?"
Aria rolled her eyes and said, "Not just that. Should we tell him together?"
Her sisters nodded and they all yelled excitedly, "We're performing at Warped Tour!"
Spike's eyes went wide as they said this, "Warped Tour!? The biggest musical tour in the country!? That's wicked!"
Adagio smiled and said, "That's not all, we want you to sing the new song when we perform it. Your ideas were the reason we were able to come up with it. That's why we all think you should be the one to perform it."
Spike tackled the girls into a group hug saying, "You guys are the best!" But then it came to him that the closest Warped Tour location was in Manehatten, and his parents would never let him go alone, even for something so big. "You guys... you know my parents won't let me go alone, and I don't mean without you guys. They never let me leave town without Twilight or Shining."
Aria snickered and said, "Spike, do you really think we wouldn't plan ahead?"
Adagio took out eleven tickets from her purse and handed them to Spike saying, "For your sister, her friends, and your family. We'd never let them miss out on seeing you on stage at the biggest gig of our career."
Spike chuckled and said, "Should've guessed."
As the four ate their pizza and talked about how stoked they were for Warped Tour, Spike received a text from Twilight saying "Mom wants you home soon."
Spike texted back, "Get your girls and Shining together at the house, I've got big news for you guys." Before getting up and saying, "I gotta go guys, see ya!" he raced back to his house and when he got home, his sister, her friends, his brother and his wife and daughter, and his mom and dad were waiting for him.
Night Light said, "What's the big news son?"
Spike could barely contain himself as he told them, "Me and The Dazzlings are going to Warped Tour, and they got tickets for all of you!" and held out the eleven tickets.
Rainbow Dash pumped her arm excitedly saying, "Aw yeah! I can't believe we've got tickets to Warped Tour!"
As the group talked about how excited they were, Twilight pulled Spike away and said, "I'm proud of you Spike. I'm sorry I called being in a band a bad career choice. This is a big step for you, and you can be sure I'll be listening to each song you guys play... no matter how lewd..." she mumbled the last part, even though she did mean it.
A few months later, they were on the plane to Manehatten. When they arrived at Warped Tour, things were just getting started. Spike had practiced the lyrics the girls had written, and his singing voice was getting a lot better. He was ready for this. When they got to the stage they were performing on, his friends and family were waiting on the ground below. As they started playing, Spike got ready to sing.
"Baby, it's you and me tonight
I wanna see your body in the moonlight
Cause you're my princess
I'm your prince
And tonight
I'm gonna hold you tight
Gonna wrap my arms around you
Anything you wanna do
Baby, I'll do it too
Cause my body's just for you
And if you let me take control
Baby, I got you, I swear
More passion than you'll ever know
Baby, I'm about to take you there
Yeah, one night
Just for you
Let's make some memories
Let's make some memories
I'm never gonna forget this night
And I'll make sure you're doin' alright
Your daddy hates me
Your momma loves me
But I don't give a damn
As long as I got you in my arms
I can die a happy man
Tell me you love me like you do
And I'll make it all special
Just for you
Yeah, one night
Just for you
Let's make some memories
Let's make some memories
I'm never gonna forget this night
And I'll make sure you're doin' alright
Yeah, one night
Just for you
Let's make some memories
Let's make some memories
I'm never gonna forget this night
And I'll make sure you're doin' alright"
As the festival wrapped up, Spike could still feel his ears ringing from the screaming fans. He could have sworn he heard one fan girl yell out, "Spike, please be my boyfriend!" but that wasn't something he was new to.
As they drove the rental back to the airport he said, "Man that was rockin'!"
Rainbow Dash said weakly, exhausted from the long night of rocking out, "You can say that again... squirt..."
When they got back Spike saw his father putting a picture frame on the mantle. He took a look at it and saw him and The Dazzling's on stage. He smiled before yawning, "Man, that festival took more out of me than I thought. I'm gonna hit the hay." he said walking slowly up the stairs and plopping down face first into his bed. Before he fell asleep he softly said to himself, "Best night ever..."
