Pinkie stood behind her friends, ready for what was coming. A voice in her head said “I’m proud of you.”

Pinkie sent a message back into the Hive Mind “Thank you, mother.” The elements glowed as they unleashed their power on Nightmare Moon. Nightmare Moon swiftly avoided the attack. She then sent a blast that knocked them away. Rainbow darted at her before being slammed into the wall. Nightmare Moon then knocked out Applejack and sent Pinkie skidding across the floor. Rarity and Twilight fired combined their blasts of magic. Nightmare Moon simply knocked them both out with a stronger blast.

Looking over her injured friends, Fluttershy said turning her attention at Nightmare Moon with a serious look on her face “You will surrender and tell us where the Princess is.”

Nightmare Moon repeated “We will... Never.” Nightmare Moon grabbed Fluttershy and roared “You tried to force us to do something against our will! I will remove your ability to do that ever again!”

Fluttershy begged “Please, don’t.” Nightmare Noon ignored her pleas. Pinkie looked up to see Flutters being lifted up in the air. Nightmare Moon gouged out Fluttershy’s left eye. The butterscotch mare screamed as Nightmare let out a menacing laugh. Pinkie jumped after the scream and saw what was going on. Just as Nightmare Moon went for Fluttershy’s right eye. Pinkie shouted “Leave her alone, I will fight you.”

Her mother shouted “Don’t do this.”

Pinkie told her mother “I have too.”

Nightmare Moon laughed throwing Fluttershy away as if she were garbage “You will do what?” The Pink Party Pony’s body shone with a pink light revealing a Pink Changeling Queen. Nightmare Moon eyes widened “A changeling shouldn’t look like that.” Pinkie’s changeling form was very similar to her pony form, the shape of her mane was also the same. She had no holes in her legs, the wings were bug-like and transparent sporting the same pink colour as the rest of her body, 3 balloons adorned her flank on both sides. Her horn was very changeling-like although it was pink. The biggest thing that scared Nightmare Moon was she was easily 3 times her size.

Pinkie slammed into Nightmare Moon pinning her to the castle wall. Nightmare roared “Let us go, foul creature!”

Pinkie roared as she smashed in one of Nightmare Moon’s ribs “You have no right, monster of the night.”

Nightmare Moon screamed. Pinkie slammed Nightmare Moon into the ground before continuing to strike the the monstrous Princess. Pinkie held her injured opponent in one hoof only to hear her friends waking up. Pinkie whispered “You’re lucky they woke up or else I would kill you right now.” Pinkie casts a small memory suppressant spell before leaving Nightmare Moon lying there. She returns to her pony form and pretends to be unconscious with the others.

The sound of screaming woke up Pinkie’s 4 other friends. Pinkie joined her friends who were standing around Fluttershy, who was trying desperately not to scream.

Twilight asked “Who did this to you?” Fluttershy pointed at the injured Nightmare Moon. Twilight looks at her 5 friends, they all nod and stand up. The elements once again unleash their power, blasting Nightmare Moon. Pinkie watched as Fluttershy’s eye socket was being treated, the scream were loud but not enough to distract Pinkie from the mare that lay were Nightmare Moon stood. Pinkie's eyes widened as she realised that she had bug wings and a carapace but also had blue fur and an alicorn horn.

Pinkie snuck over to her. The mare opened her eyes. She was about to shout when Pinkie put a hoof over her mouth. Pinkie whispered “You are a changeling Queen or at least half-one.”

The mare whispered looking at her back “Horseapples.”

Pinkie whispered back “I will disguise it for you with a simple illusion just let me see your memories.”

The mare nodded before Pinkie changed so she now had a pink horn and read her memories. The mare whispered confused “How did thou do that?”

Pinkie ignored the question before casting a small illusion spell, hiding the mare’s from a Half-Alicorn form so she appeared to be a normal Alicorn. Pinkie whispered to her “I will tell you later, Luna.” Pinkie made her pink horn disappear as quickly as it came.

Pinkie appeared to teleport next to her friends. They all jumped. Pinkie smiled. A voice said “That was very dangerous.”

Pinkie replied to the voice “I had to do it mother, you know that, they are my friends.”

A voice called out “Twilight, are you alright?” Twilight smiled as she ran towards the voice.

Celestia nuzzled her “I’m fine, Twilight, but I have to do something.” Celestia pointed towards Luna. She walked over to Luna and gave her a hug.

Luna said “We art thou sorry, sister.”

Every member of the Elements of Harmony except Pinkie shouted “What.. your sister!?”

Pinkie thought (Hmm, that is why she was so worried her sister didn’t know about that.) Celesta said “Yes, I banished my sister Luna to the Moon after she was possessed by the Nightmare and I have regretted it ever since.”

Luna said “Thou should not be sorry, this is our fault.”

Celestia cried “I didn’t listen when I should have. Will you come back?” Luna nodded and smiled, crying.

They returned to Ponyville with Luna and Celestia. The town was full of cheer at their return. Pinkie bolted towards Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake. She smiled, feeling the love they emitted. She said “I told you I would come back.”

Pinkie watched as her friends greeted their loved ones. Pinkie than ran over to Luna. She asked bouncing “I would like to know if you would like my help to help you get used to this time period?”

Luna smiled slightly confused at the pink earth pony’s insistence “Of course I would. twice a week, would be preferable.”

Pinkie replied “Okie Dokie Lokie.”

The next day, Pinkie smiled as she entered Luna’s room. Pinkie smiled before materialising a unicorn horn in shimmering light. She cast a soundproofing spell. Pinkie said “What am I really here for is to teach a few things about what you really are.”

Luna asked “What I really am?”

Pinkie said “Yes” as she removed Luna’s disguise.

Luna screamed as she saw her true form “Turn me back.”

Pinkie said “How long have you been lied to, that is the real you. I am here to teach you how to disguise yourself as you are a changeling or at least half of one.”

Luna stared before frowning “Changeling half?”

Pinkie said “Changelings are creatures that live and feed off love. You have the blood of an Alicorn and a Changeling Queen.”

Luna roared “How do you know so much?”

Pinkie smiled as she glowed revealing the huge changeling queen, easily over 3 times larger than Luna. Luna was shocked at her presence.

Pinkie said “I am one as well except I’m a full changeling queen.”

Luna asked intimidated “Are we monsters?”

Pinkie said “No we aren’t and even more I’m a special breed of Changeling that can generate her own love, don’t worry I won’t hurt you.”

Luna asked feeling a little better “So, how do I change?”

Pinkie said “Focus on your form and imagine what you want yourself to look like.”

Luna focused and shifted back to her old form. Pinkie smiled as she asked “I may need you to help me with something?”
