Pinkie looked around the Canterlot Caverns before sighing, in the 6 months since Luna’s return she has been spending a large portion of time with Luna in Canterlot. Luna asked “Pinkie, what’s wrong?”

Pinkie replied “I don’t know, I just have so much to do. Hiding this from my friends has been tough.” Luna ran a hoof through her flat mane as she said “Come on Pinkie cheer up. Let’s go and get donuts and then head down to Ponyville and throw a party.”

Pinkie said “IHAVESOMANYIDEASBUTFIRSTIMUSTGETMYPARTYCANNONI’LLBERIGHT
BACK!!!” Luna shook her head as she went back to make sure the hive organisation was done before heading down.

She sighed as she thought (I shouldn’t have mentioned parties. I really wanted some donuts.) She then got a brilliant idea she said in the hive mind “Could some of you disguise yourself and quickly get me some donuts before the meeting?”

Luna got a quick reply “Yes princess.” 2 minutes later a huge packet of donuts arrived in the hooves of a couple of changelings.

She quickly devoured the donuts then smiled as she said “I’m going to start the meeting.” She looked at all the changelings. She roared “We have been working hard to keep this hive well maintained and yet hidden from those above! I want you all to be ready for combat, an unknown threat has threatened the castle above and we must prepare to defend Canterlot should worst come to worst. Pinkie will probably will find out when she meets with her friends. "

In Ponyville Pinkie was sitting with her friends. She said “I’m glad to be back, I have spent so much time in Canterlot.”

Rainbow Dash said “I’m not surprised you spend more time with Luna then with each of us, are you going out or something?” She blushed at the thought luckily her pink coat concealed it.

Rarity scolded “Rainbow Dash, that is inappropriate. Luna is a princess it’s unlikely that would be the case.” Pinkie giggled at the statement she had missed this, the hive had taken up most of her time.

Pinkie then looked over to Fluttershy her left eyesocket was covered in a bandage. She said “Fluttershy, I’m sorry about your eye.”

Fluttershy said “It’s not your fault, I shouldn’t have tried to use the stare against her." Pinkie knew she could have done something and felt a small part of herself screeching at her telling her it was her fault.

She felt a small feeling of movement in her belly, she thought (I’m glad I laid today already, one thousand eggs is a lot.)

She heard Twilight gasp. Twilight shouted “I’ve been invited to my brother’s wedding!”

Pinkie said “I will go ahead and meet you there most of my stuff is in Canterlot anyway.” She jumps into a random bush and her friends found no sign of her.

Rainbow Dash said “It’s just Pinkie being Pinkie.”

Applejack responded “Eeyup, that’s our Pinkie alright.”

Back in Canterlot Pinkie jumps out of a bush in the royal garden. She stared at Discord’s statue and thought (I’m glad he didn’t figure out I’m a Changeling, he totally would have blown my cover.) She trotted back into the castle and headed for the Canterlot Caverns.

Pinkie saw Celestia walking down the hallway with some nobles, she quickly hid and disguised herself as a statue. She watched as they moved past and sighed as she quickly entered the caverns. She thought (I must admit when Luna told me about this place I wasn’t entirely convinced, I mean setting up a hive right under her sister’s muzzle could get us both banished to the moon. Still I am glad it has worked out so far, still she better explain why I wasn’t informed about the wedding.)

Pinkie found her way to Luna’s position. Luna was laying there undisguised, Pinkie knocked on the side of the wall, her pony disguise falling away. Luna said “I had just finished the defensive preparations.”

Pinkie asked angrily “Why didn’t you inform me of the wedding? You know I have so much to do now" she said while she pulled out her party cannon." I have to plan an entire after party and got so much to do, on top of that changelings are naturally drawn to weddings. There could be 100 in there at any one time and we would have no idea if any were invaders or just passively collecting love.”

Luna looked down sadly as she said “Oh.”

Pinkie replied coldly “I’m angry because you forgot to inform me of some important details, still you need to help me prepare the after party.”

Luna and Pinkie pushed through 2 hours of preparation. Pinkie sighed “I have a terrible feeling about today, like something is going to go wrong.”

Luna asked “Why do you feel that way, is it your Pinkie sense?”

Pinkie responded “No, it’s a feeling that something is off, I smell changeling in the air and it is putting me off.”

Luna asked “Is it me?”

Pinkie said “No it is the smell of my mother’s hive. It is really strong which either means that most of the hive is here or she is here, both are really bad. I just hope she is smarter than that.”

Luna asked “You think it’s an invasion.”

Pinkie responded “I can’t tell for sure but I want our hive in full military mobilisation mode we can’t take any chances.” Pinkie disguised herself and went to meet up with her friends.
