Rainbow Dash and Spike surprisingly get called by the cutie map to go to Northern Equestria on a friendship mission. Twilight is puzzled by the maps decision and doesn't think that Rainbow and Spike will make a good team. But Rainbow Dash and Spike are excited for the mission and can't wait for it to begin. But during their mission, they start to get know each other better, and it leads to a pretty exciting adventure for the both of them....

Spikes age is not determined in this story, but he is a bit older than he is in the series.
