The War For Equestria

It had been a week since the eight rebels of war had retreated to Appaloosa, No problems had revealed themselves yet, the war had raged on without them, The Lunar Republic had began their first attack on Canterlot and were pushed back after losing over three hundred soldiers. The Solar Empire only losing less than fifty, Canterlot being their most guarded city ever.

The eight ponies thought they were safe. Thought

"When do you think they'll lose Canterlot?" Spitfire asked Mirage, who was standing on the tip of a spire outside of town, the wind blowing his mane out of his face.

"Not sure exactly when, but they will lose it, the Republic quadruples their soldiers" he said, staring off into the untouched land

"What happened to everyone?" Spitfire asked, walking to his side,

"War gets to the best of us" he said, frowning

"I guess so..." Spitfire said,

"What are you guys doing?" Rainbow Dash asked, lounging on a cloud above the two,

Spitfire looked up, seeing her Rainbow maned lover and flying up to meet her on the cloud.

"just talking about all of this" she said, nuzzling Rainbow, who was now ruby red,

"Why- why are you doing that?" Rainbow asked, pushing Spitfire off and pretending she didn't like it.

Spitfire looked at Rainbow with a seductive look,

"If today is my last day, I want you to know that I love you" she said, nuzzling rainbow again,

"Oh please, were in Appaloosa no pony is able to find us out here-"

Just as Rainbow finished Mirage was tackled off of the spire and slammed into the ground.

"Mirage!" Rainbow and Spitfire yelled in unison,

Mirage was being attacked by his former captain, who was attempting to stab him anywhere he could, along with crushing his windpipe, cutting off all air from his lungs.

"Remember me?!" Soarin screamed, mimicking Mirage from last week,

Mirage only smiled, and his eyes began to change into a familiar blood red, his fangs extended, and he began to easily push Soarin off of him, just before the sky went black.

"What the?" Soarin asked, "What are you doing?"

"I'm not doing this..." Mirage said, his eyes easily adjusting to the darkness, being a vampony had it's advantages.

Mirage looked to the side after throwing Soarin off of him, seeing a Alicorn landing in the middle of town, along with the other eight, scrambling for Mirage's house, checking on Vinyl, who was probably still asleep,

The Alicorn bowed it's head, his body broke into three new ponies, An earth pony, a Pegasus and a Unicorn, all mimicking his color scheme, blood red mane, blood red tail, blood red wings or horn.

"Spirit Element" Mirage mumbled, knowing what a Spirit element could do.

"You're right Mirage" A voice said,

"Who's there?" Mirage asked, looking around, seeing Soarin was gone but no pony else

"I'm a Spirit Element remember? I can speak to you through your mind" Night Flash said, remembering the young stallion who he used to watch over

"What did you just do?" Mirage asked,

"Oh I preformed a Blackout, It's like a Sonic Rainboom but instead of light, it makes darkness" he answered,

Mirage ignored him, he was more worried about Vinyl than the darkness

"Rainbow!" he shouted, seeing the pegasus trying to fly in the dark, "Sonic Rainboom!"

Rainbow didn't need to be told twice, she flew up, got to the right altitude, over the Blackout and flew down, Preforming the Sonic Rainboom easily, evaporating the darkness around them.

"No matter" Night Flash said, still in Mirage's head

Mirage got his mind straight, Two factions attacked their tiny rebellion at the same time!

Twilight, Applejack and Rainbow Dash were guarding Mirage's house from the three spirits, Spitfire and Soarin were eyeing each other in town square.

"It doesn't have to be like this" Soarin said, "Come with me"

"And fight for what?" Spitfire asked, irritated

"Eternal glory" Soarin answered, smiling to himself

"look around you Soarin, will killing our friends really give us Eternal Glory?" Spitfire asked,

"Yes" Soarin said,

Spitfire shuddered, Soarin was gone, replaced by this bloodthirsty soldier that stood in front of her... he had to go

"Goodbye Soarin" Spitfire said, a tear rolled down her cheek

"Goodbye" he said,

Spitfire had no time to react, he was over to her in the blink of an eye, pressing a hidden hoof gun against her head, releasing a bullet into her brain, letting it blow out of the back of her skull onto the ground behind her.

Mirage watched in horror as his friend collapsed to the ground, he was expecting a long, drawn out battle between the two, but it had ended that fast.

"NO!" Rainbow screamed, dashing towards Soarin, who just slapped her out of the air, he had no business with Rainbow.

He spread his wings to fly, Mirage was gaining on him fast but not fast enough, Soarin flew up ready to leave, Mirage threw his switchblade into the air, hitting Soarin in the wing, causing him to crash through the top of his house.

Mirage was in the house in a split second, but Soarin was up to he had taken the blade out of his wing and put it to Vinyl's neck, they were both on their hind legs, and Soarin was behind her, holding her in a hostage position. As Mirage entered the color left his face,

"Put it down Soarin" Mirage said, sweating heavily

"I cut her in one of two places" Soarin said, pointing the blade to each part "Her neck... or her belly"

Mirage saw liquid coming from between Vinyl's haunches, her water had just broke

"Or..." Soarin started, "I cut her in both if you don't hurry up"

"How about this" Vinyl said, grabbing Soarin by the wrist and flipping him onto the bed, the blade still in his hand,

"Now!" Vinyl said, looking at Mirage

Time stopped, Glowing red eyes came to Mirage, along with a Glowing red mane and tail, Red electricity built around him, Soarin's pupils shrank in fear, Mirage's father was standing before him, a tamed version, A version that Mirage used in times of Extreme hate, of Extreme Anger, Mirage began that blood curdling scream and sent Soarin through the back of the house, shocking him as he flew him into the ground, both of them rolling and breaking bones that Mirage couldn't feel until he stopped, Mirage stood up and waited, Electricity still surging around him, Soarin finally got up and stabbed Mirage in the shoulder, one of Mirage's eyebrow rose up, the knife felt like he was being tickled, he picked up a jagged rock and stabbed Soarin in the shoulder with it, making him scream like a filly breaking off what he used as the handle and leaving the blade piece in his shoulder, Mirage's body floated up carrying Soarin with telekinesis, with the flick of his wrist he sent Soarin through a mountain, knocking him out, but not killing him.

Twilight spotted Mirage flying back to the town still covered in red lightning, with Soarin on his back, Rainbow was on top of Spitfire screaming and crying, which Mirage saw. When Mirage landed he walked to Rainbow and threw Soarin on the ground in front of Spitfire. Soarin, who was now regaining consciousness noticed Rainbow, who had pure hatred in her eyes.

"He's all yours" Mirage said, his voice sounding like a mixture of his, his fathers and a robot

Mirage collapsed to the ground, his color returning and the pain finally coming to him, the last thing he saw was Rarity, carrying a small foal with a Red and Light blue mane,
