Unknown Pony's POV

I look out of the window seeing the beautiful day, as I know that this is the perfect time to take over, but then again, I have ponies after me just waiting for me to attack. As I try to think to myself, one little subject goes and interrupts me, but this isn't the first time it has happened.

"Queen we are ready for your orders."
Good, tell them I will be right down soon.
"yes my queen."

As I watch him leave I look down at his flank and then looks down at mine and sighs, just thinking to myself.

why cant I ever get a flank like that...

Frost's POV

I slowly wake up out of my warm bed, and feeling the nice warm breeze from my window. That breeze always keeps me calm whenever I feel sad, mad, you name it. So does my brother...I just stop, look out the window and think to myself.

I wish you were here wubby....I need you here...

I knew I couldn't do much about him being gone, but I didn't even care, I wanted my brother home, and I need him home. He always protects me, and cuddles me to make me happy, and I loved every moment of it, I just...want to know that feeling again.

I decided it;s about time to finally come out of my room, but everything was dark, and I started to get scared, but I quickly went to put on my armor. I was ten years old, but still I am turning into a mare soon, and need to stop being scared about the dark. As I was walking down the hallway, the blinds opened up and every pony inside the town yelled "BOO".

I got so scared that I...I had well went number one...on the floor. That didn't stop me from crying, and making every pony feel like crap. I felt ashamed that I had peed on the floor, but I was ten, so I couldn't really control that. My parents rushed to me and held me close as they called off the party they all had for me and reset it up in the park.

"Honey! if you want to be at your party, we have to go."

Sorry mommy!

"yeah sweetie, you know how your mother is..."

I had laughed my flank off after seeing my mom glare at him, but after a little bit of sharing laughs with him, I had crawled on his back and held him close, making sure I wouldn't fall.

As we got to the park, I jumped off of my father's back and saw a couple of colts staring at me, but more towards something. I followed their eyes and blushed deeply at I knew what they were staring at, and instantly hid under my mother's belly.

moooooooom!

"yes sweetie?"

those two colts are staring at my flaaaaank!

"well, colts and stallions are interested in flanks, and by the looks of it, they are liking yours the most."

That made me blush more, because no pony has ever done that before, and I don't know why they did stare. My flank was like any other flank, so what's so special about mine? I just let my mother hide me in her wings until we got into the bouncy castle, I know, I know. I may be too old for those, but still it was the best thing ever!

I saw the two colts join in as my blush formed again, but I did my best to hide it. We were bouncing around in the castle and giggling as one of the colts and I bumped into each other and fell, all I could see was him holding me and we were sitting in the back corner of the castle.

I honestly love to cuddle, but being a very young age, I really didn't know what to do at this point so I nuzzled him, and we held close together, and never let go. No parents were focusing on the colts and fillies bouncing, but they were focused more on us two cuddling.

I wake up inside of my bed, happily seeing the colt next to me, as I want to get up, but my body doesn't want me to, so I decide to stay. I soon see him wake up as I nuzzle him more.

good morning.

"morning frost."

I can't help but just smile at him, as I hate to see that his parents want him at home. We had shared hugs and I gave him a kiss on the cheek, because he was the cutest pony in town. I just had to giggle at his reaction, but I went back inside soon after him and his mother flew away.

I walk back inside as I sit at the table wanting to see what was for dinner, when I had noticed my mother crying, and my father looking at her worried. His eyes move to me as I look a little confused of what is going on, and then start to get worried also.

"F-frost the R-royal guard s-stopped searching f-for your brother"

w-what does that me-

"h-he's dead."

Rain started to pour down hard, as it was another scheduled day by the pegasi that run the weather. I looked outside at the rain, with tears falling down my face as I look back at both of my parents. I wanted to be alone, and I just wanted to die at that point. I didn't care what would happen to me at that point, so I decided to run out into the pouring rain.

I heard my parents scream for me in the background, but I kept running, until I made it to the lake, where only my parents know about. I had always came here when I felt sad, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them appear here soon. I laid down on the cold wet sand, and closed my eyes, just hoping for something to eat me or bash my skull in.

I slowly wake up as I am back in my home, and the sun blinding me. I slowly get up as I stretch and walks out of my room, seeing my parents making breakfast. I say nothing and walks closer, as I look around everywhere, wondering to myself what had happened last night, but I couldn't think at the moment due to my head hurting.

H-hello?

"oh! sweetie you're awake!"

did I startle you?

"quite."

My dad and I both shared a laugh as my mother rolled her eyes and turned away, I felt a little bad, but then again I just wanted to laugh, because it was funny. I sat down at the table as my mother handed me a plate full of food, and I smiled happily, but my eyes trailed to her flank, and I had to ask.

mom...will...I ever have a flank like yours...

"well sweetie it runs in the family, because all the mares in the family had great flanks"

"oh so you stared at my mother's flank do ya?"

EWWWWWWWWWWW

"oh shush you flank, I never said that."

"you just did!"

I couldn't help but laugh again, as my mother joined in, us both watching his face go red, as he stomps out of the room. I jumped on mom's back, as we left the house, ready to get our chores done, and my father decided to join us. Something was off about today, because we didn't see any ponies walking about doing their daily chores.

We decided to head to the market, then we saw lots of ponies looking at something. My mother held onto me, as my father went to check what was going on, then out of nowhere, we had been attacked.

Changelings had swarmed into the village as our guards rushed to attack them, and to save fillies and colts. My mother and father held onto me as they tried to fly away. Changelings had knocked them down and we hit the ground hard, but that didn't stop my parents from trying to run.

I was left alone and I cried trying to find my mother and father as changelings started getting closer. Bat ponies dropping to the ground and not moving anymore all around me, as I see some guards killing the changelings and getting killed, but I decided to run. As I was running, I saw Luna's army and the Royal guard fly in to attack the changelings, but I still kept running until I saw something that horrified me to the core. My parents were laying on the ground, bleeding out, dying slowly.

Luna flew down to me and instantly covered my eyes, but I had already saw too much to not cry. She slowly put me in her wings, and told my parents that she would take care of me. Seeing my mother smile for the last time was too hard to witness. My heart was broken.
