Your Human and You: Adventures of the Griffon Girl
Hell...
Previous ChapterNext ChapterHell can take many forms for every individual. Someone obsessed with their fortune and greed could be forced to give their fortune up upon death and be forced to live in poverty for eternity. A gluttonous man or woman might be starved for eternity. That's what Donte's inferno taught me. Well that and the fact that he was a fucking loon. Where would I end up? Would I end up in the fiery pit?
No no. But my hell? My hell was this. Being poked endlessly with needles, examined and having bags of blood taken at a time. I swear if I lost any more blood, she would have turned me white. I was feeling dizzy. She had three bags of blood and four vials. I coughed loudly and removed the needle. My body slowly made more blood. Doubting she actually knew beak language I clicked to her.
=Seriously pluck you. Who even are you? Who's that white unicorn? Never mind you don't understand me anyways.=
I hadn't expected to go FUCKING DEAF.
"FLURRY FLAKE COME TAKE A LOOK AT HER REFLEX TIMING!" I was shaking with a groan, shivering to the point I could have died if given the chance. Their magic- sadly -prevented me from ding by speeding up the blood creation process. They freaked out over the little slip of paper, what could initially be considered excitement was beginning to turn to panic the closer one looked.
There was a single moment to have click what had just happened. When had my arms been tied down? When had my left leg been restrained, and when had my right thigh been strapped in place by a metal tube? I felt my foot dangle. I blinked softly and looked at her. My vision got sort of fuzzy. They gave me a drink of something, and it tasted sweet. I had had this once before. But when?...
Oh my god... The bar. This was grape wine! They were only giving me intoxicants!
I spat out the wine and coughed as more slowly poured into my mouth, and I spat that out too, coughing and choking. They looked up at me and gave concerned mumbles to each other. I tried to move my head, and true panic began to set it once I found my head strapped down to the head rest of the chair. I couldn't properly breath, I couldn't communicate, and I couldn't see. They were trying to test my reflex timing while I was drinking wine, and while I was off. I thought that was scary.
I let out a blubbering scream, blood curdling and horrifying, quickly followed by gurgling and crying, still trying to spit out the drink.
Finally the wine stopped flowing. The bottle was empty. I felt hot tears begin to drip down my face as I coughed and gagged on the taste of the awful drink. It was once nice tasting, but now turned foul by the interaction. Sobbing followed as I weakly struggled.
Memories of the slaughter room entered my mind and my throat seized, and I moved to cover my throat. The straps prevented me from moving. I felt the beating of wings on the back of my neck, and heard the banging of little Rue's father on the door. I felt the burning of the fire on my spine. Phantom pains from my scars across the jawline of my face began to flare, adding to the intensity. The two poor mares were backed against the wall in fear, the snow white one with a blonde main's horn slowly activated.
She released my head. I cried and shook my head back and forth, trying to bite through the belts on my shoulders. They were slowly released, leaving me wriggle room. Then came the belts holding my forearms and just below my elbows. Tears came into my eyes as they were released. Even more than before. Then there was the wrists. They were ripped off like band aid's, and there was a weapon ready for whatever I did next. I fling my hand up to my neck and held my face in the other. I soothed the phantom pain with tears in my eyes, and swiped away the imminent threat of the phantom knife nearing my cheeks. The beating of the wings disappeared, and all that left was the banging on the door. This slowly faded, just as well as the constant heavy beating of my heart. I wanted to scream, cry, and call out for Slasher. Anyone.
I released my leg and freed my other leg from the strange metal restraint, and dragged myself into a corner, sniffling pathetically. I cried hysterically and rocked back and forth. I just cried. In the corner.
The mares on the other side of the room just stood, shocked and staring at me like I had just told them I was a pony to their face. One moved, and I jolted into myself, crying harder and screaming as soon as she made the slightest move. She gasped out and her tail went between her legs. She slowly approached, making cooing sounds. I screamed louder, and she flinched, her ears laying back and she tried to cover her ears.
"WE HAVE TO GET HER BACK TO HER OWNERSS BEFORE SHE SCREAMS LOUD ENOUGH FOR THE ENTIRE CITY TO HEAR!!" I quieted down and sniffled at the mention of the word owner. I wanted nothing more than to get back to Slasher, get back to Fylakas, get back to my home among the griffons. I cried myself into a trance, and everything was blurry after I was given a shot. Blurred lights, blurred faces, crates, boxes, hours of transport, and hours of travelling later, and now I was back here. The castle.
Blurry. Everything was blurry and I couldn't hear anything. The crate and blankets muffled the sounds.
There was a sound of screaming and crying heard as I looked out of a hole. The box was pried open and suddenly, everything was visible. Crystal clear. The crying was from Medallion. The crying was from Slasher, Claw, Rue, and Wench. Talon was standing back, a guilty look on his beak. I looked at him and the others. Something was off. Different. Fylakas was weeping too. I climbed out weakly, and hugged him. He looked shocked, and I was shocked at my own actions. I was ready to collapse. I weakly turned to Fylakas and chirped something. His face flushed, but I was to weak to ask for right now. There was a moment of fear. But then... Darkness.
