WitnessView OnlineMorbid CuriosityWitnessI pant as the sun rises, climbing the long road up to Canterlot, other Ponies would say to use the train, but obviously they would not know where I lived considering I live at the bottom of Canterlot Mountain where nopony actually lives. But I make do since my lifeline consists of traveling up the Mountain every few months. I never bother with talking to anypony since they do not need to interfere in my business, which some would say is questionable since I have no job but I always seem to have money on me. But they never seem to mind, works for me anyways. Anyway, I make it to the gate where some guards lie in defense, considering I pose no threat other than the fact that I'm more gangly than the skinniest pony, they pay no mind. I walk on to the marketplace to gather some needed essentials for living in a cabin in the woods. As I wait in line, I hear some of the Upper Class ponies scoff at me, they've always disliked me, since I appear more grotesque than other ponies but I pay them no mind, I have my own reasons for that. As I gather some vegetables and push the required amount for them towards the shopkeep, I turn around and notice an anvil falling from the sky and hitting what seems to be a young colt that seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and hear a oddly pleasing sound of bones crunching and the clang of metal hitting cobblestone. The anvil, accelerated at what seems to be quite a lethal height, had unfortunately hit the colt square on the head and needless to say killed him instantly. I, unlike the others who are currently clamoring in shock and what seems to be the tear-laden cries of the colt's mother, just stand there with a blank stare, seemingly unresponsive to the world around me. I feel a rushing sense of euphoria flow through me as I witness this brutal and tragic scene. I stand there for what seemed to be 10 minutes before authorities arrived and I came to my senses. I noticed when the Princesses arrived merely seconds after the authorities, Celestia seemed to be giving me a curious glance before looking away, I shrug it off and continue on my way. I later learned that the situation was just a freak accident and that there was no foul play involved. But I ignore that and focused on the euphoric sense that flowed through me when I watched the scene unfold. Brain matter flowing from the crushed skull and blood seeping through the cobblestones. It was a strange feeling, one I wouldn't mind experiencing again. Strangely enough. "But how do I exactly achieve that feeling?, The thought resonating from deep within me, from a dark place in me. I sit with my sister Luna at the breakfast table, eating fabulous pancakes that were just the right amount of fluffiness and with the perfect amount of syrup on it. I sat back when I finished and gave a sigh as I relaxed into my chair. "S-Sister, I think you might w-want to take a look at th-this" Luna stuttered I perk my ears at this and look over the table to Luna who was reading the newspaper. She had a look of horror etched across her face. I gave a look of confusion before replying. "What do you mean, dearest sister of mine?" I replied, dumbfounded at her stuttering. Luna was never one to stutter, this must've been serious if it faltered even her. She gives no reply and passes the paper to me, ears folded down and avoiding to look at me, a slightly green tinge appeared on her cheeks. I raise an eyebrow at her before looking down at the paper, I freeze for a moment before retching, almost letting loose before holding it back with a hoof. The article was strangely accurate on the details about the accident. "The poor dear!", I thought to myself as I look at the picture that was taken of the accident, grimacing at the morbidness of the scene. I shake my head before regaining my composure and stood up to face Luna. "Shall we go and comfort the obviously distraught mother of this child Luna? I say to her "Yes let's, I can only imagine the emotional pain she must be feeling from losing a child so violently" she replied I nod my head with a frown on my face and walked out, Luna following suit. As I look onto the scene before me, I notice that a stallion who was grotesquely gangly staring at the body of the recently deceased colt, I was about to head over to question him before stopping myself. He's probably the colt's father, he must be devastated, the poor dear! I thought to myself, making a mental note to ask him questions later. I turn to Luna who was staring at the body with a nervousness wracking her body, a hoof covering her mouth as a green tinge appeared on her cheeks. I calm her down with a comforting hug before walking over to the mother who was easily identifiable by her cries of anguish and in the comforting hug of a stallion, I raised an eyebrow at that since the pony I identified as the father was over there clearly traumatized before I looked over at the pony staring at the corpse and noticed that he was gone. I was about to question his disappearance when Luna caught my attention and pointed over to the distraught mother and sighed before making my way over to comfort the poor mare. As I sit in my comfy cabin at the foot of Canterlot Mountain, I reflect on the scene at the marketplace and evaluated my feelings at the time. I noticed that I didn't feel any remorse at the unfortunate death of the colt and actually felt pleasure. These thoughts haunted me as I slept. It was not a comfortable night, for me or the mother.
VoicesView OnlineMorbid CuriosityVoicesI wake at the crack of dawn, fatigue etched across my face. I was tormented with voices throughout the night with the scene of the accident replaying in my head over and over again, like a broken recording. You know you like it I sat up, having heard a faint whisper, I looked around frantically thinking that there was an intruder. "Is anyone there?" I called out After 5 minutes of silence I reasoned that it was just my fatigued mind. I stand up and walk to my bathroom and look in the mirror. I looked at my hair noticing it's bedrazzled look and sighed before I heard something familiar. the blood... it was arousing... was it not?... "Who's there? Show yourself!" I called out, believing that someone was really in the cabin. the blood... it must flow... I sighed "So I've finally gone insane, makes sense with the life I've had"I looked back at the mirror and noticed my reflection was smiling maliciously at me, when I focused on the reflection, the smile disappeared. I jumped back and tripped on a bottle on a floor and fell hard. A loud crack resounded through the air and pleasure coursed through my veins. "Wait, pleasure?" I stood back up and assessed the damage and noticed my nose was broken with blood flowing freely down it. I questioned this as I should've been groaning in pain and not orgasmic bliss. I look back at the mirror and see the crushed head of the colt that passed yesterday. I freeze and stare at the image, focusing on the blood that was oozing through the cracks of the skull. I noticed I could see chunks of gray matter squeezing through along with the blood. The crunch from the day before played through my head. Before I could focus anymore on the gory image, It suddenly changed to a rendition of me but with seven faces. They had no eyes and they were even more skinnier than me and more disturbingly grotesque. "Per voluptatem de sanguine cursus nobis" they echoed with the haunting voice of seven, synchronized almost perfectly but with a slight undertone. The image disappeared as fast as it appeared and I just stood there, the voices saying echoing through my head. I start feeling dizzy and looked down, noticing that the blood from my nose had made a puddle that looked disturbingly big. It should've scared me, but I looked at it and once again felt the same feeling brought on by the accident earlier. The satisfying crunch... I need it again I jumped when I heard a slightly demonic whisper that led to freak me out even more when It was followed by a faint demonic laughter. I shake my hand before proceeding to clean up the blood and bandaging my wounds. I reminded myself that I needed to go hunting later today. I still needed a perfect deer pelt for my floor. While most ponies don't even consider going hunting, I am vastly different from them, in more ways than one. Seven hours later I sit at my bonfire that I made in front of my cabin. I had just sucessfully caught a deer and brought it back to my cabin, where I was to prepare it for skinning. I started the incision and shivered when I brought it down, the blood flowed so freely and the muscles of the deer were so perfect, so strong. I started cutting the meat out, intending to sell it to some griffon merchants. I placed the chunks in a bowl, a slight plop every time I dropped a chunk in. I started cutting the unedible organs when I stopped and noticed the heart was still beating. "The deer is still alive!" I stared at the slowly beating muscle in morbid fascination. I looked at the knife I was using to skin the deer and poked the heart, seeing the organ shiver from the contact gave me a strange feeling, a strange rush of adrenaline. I sat there, contemplating my thoughts when the organ suddenly stopped. In panic, I sliced the vessels connected to the heart and looked in almost orgasmic bliss as the blood of the deer juat fell out, hitting the ground with a pleasuring thunk. "It flows so freely..." I shivered and came to my senses and looked at the meat I placed in the bowl. "Maybe I should keep this meat" I thought to myself, growing excited at the implications of keeping it. I continued cutting away the organs and perfectly skinned the deer, the skinning so perfect I could wear it like a suit. I fell over and just shuddered when that thought hit me. "Wearing another creatures skin... almost like a suit" I thought in morbid giddiness I slowly got up and looked at the skinned pelt, I picked it up and draped it over myself. It fit perfectly! It only needed stitches in some places and It would be perfect! Even better! What would it be like wearing other ponies skin? I grew giddy at the thought and went into my cabin to go sleep. My dreams were filled with pleasing thoughts of wearing other ponies skin like masks and suits. I slept easy that night. One month later The ponies at the Canterlot marketplace stared at the stallion that came in every month. He was strange but this time he seemed more blank than usual, bit he had a strange smell about him. Nopony could put their hoof on it and some shopkeeps were bewildered at the items he bought. Usually he bought food but this time he bought a shovel and buckets, but even stranger were the strangely twisted knives he bought. Nopony bothered him but they kept their distance. The stallion walked out of the marketplace and towards the gates of Canterlot. The others stared at his retreating form and whispered rumors to each other. Some of them made sure to alert the guards of his alarming behavior. But the strange stallion never came back.
IntensityView OnlineMorbid CuriosityIntensityA crack of thunder resounded through the air. It just happened to be raining on a day like this. But it wouldn't bother me, for I had a job to do. I grow giddy as I get closer to my destination, shovel in hand and with a cart in tow. There was a hole in the walls of Canterlot that nobody seemed to notice. It seemed old as moss seemed to seep from the cobblestone. I pass through the hole and reach my destination. I feel electricity run through me as I look up and read the sign with a blank face. "Canterlot Graveyard" I repeated the words through my mind, feeling bolts through my body, but showing no expression on my face, I had no remorse for the job I was to do. I stop at the entrance and looked all around, taking in the sights of hundreds if not thousands of tombstones, scattered around this land. I walk amongst them until I stop at one that catches my interest. It seemed normal enough but it wasn't weathered enough to be considered old. I look at the grave and notice that there is no grass. "Must be a new grave" I thought to myself I read the headstone with a still expressionless face. A smile slowly grew as I read the date, It was freshly buried, only a day old. I stick my shovel in the ground and dig for what seemed to be hours. I start to pant as the dirt started running with the rain and making this job even harder than it needed to be. Keep going I stopped and froze, then listened. You need this "Yes, I do don't I? I summoned some unknown strength in me and continued digging until I hit wood, I scraped the dirt off the coffin and smiled maliciously. "Jackpot" I lifted the coffin out of the ground and put it in my cart and left, heading towards the hole in the wall, making sure to leave no trail. I woke up as a hoof stirred me awake, I open my eyes to find a stirred Luna who seems to be quite disturbed. "Now what seems to be the matter, my dear sister" I say tiredly "T-Tia..... somepony's G-grave has been r-robbed" I stared at her for a minute before I shook my head. "Has the perp been captured?" "No, there were no trails or any incriminating evidence, just an empty grave, there was a mound of dirt still next to it" she said in a morose voice. I sigh " Tell the guards to launch an investigation to find whoever did this" It took me a while to get the damn coffin down to my cabin, as the path is quite treacherous. I set it down in the middle of an empty room that I don't use much anymore. I open the coffin to find a purple coated Unicorn who seemed to be quite peaceful. That is, until I lifted the body out and set it on a wooden table. I looked over the body and slowly opened the eyes, there was still color as red-tinted eyes looked back at me with a coldness one could associate with death. The eyes seemed to be quite morbidly beautiful. Like they were looking on me as if I was a lover. Rip them out I trembled and reached for my tools that I set on the table. I get clamps and pull the eyelids open and then retrieve a scooper. I then carefully pulled out the eyeballs, only tearing the muscles that held it in place and scooped them out. They popped out easily as can be and were only held by the optic nerve. I retrieved some scissors and carefully cut the nerve. I quickly catch the eyeballs and examined them. I proceed to cut the remaining stump of the optic nerve and place the eyeballs aside, opting to use them as bases for candles. Or eyes in a mask I shivered and carried on with my morbid task. I stop when I opened up the chest and took a look into the organs. I noticed that the heart was still beating and..... I quickly looked over at the heart and noticed that it indeed was still beating. I looked at the head and scrambled back when the upper half of the body jerked up and turned to look at me. I could've sworn that I heard the words "Why me?", before I blinked and the body was laying as motionless as before. I lay there shivering and sweating profusely for what seemed like days but was only 5 minutes. I slowly walk forward and looked at the heart. Still as a stone..... I shook my head and carried on. I deboned the corpse and opted to use them to build a chair and also deskinned the body. I had a strange talent for perfectly skinning a body, so perfectly that you could wear it. I froze and shivered and looked at the skin sagging on the table. I stare at it and slowly take it. I first take off the skin that I was wearing for the last few years I've been living in Equestria and slowly stretch out my arms and extend my fingers. It felt good to be free of a flesh prison but I needed to wear the skins to keep myself hidden from the others. I climb into the skin from the body and put it on. It fit, but at the same time it did not. I sighed, the same problem from before coming to face. Maybe a suit from the skin of someone who still lives would be good? I freeze and silently agreed with the voice. Maybe I could try living ponies instead of corpses. If one skin failed, then I could just try another. I took the skin off and set it on a rack, I left the remains of the corpse on the table and closed the door. I decided to sleep in my true form this night, as It ached to stay cooped up in the skin of another. I cleaned muself, had dinner, then went to bed. Strange dreams haunted me that night. One's of a Lunar being. One's that consisted of lust and gore that were blended in a strange and twisted but gratifying completion that I could not comprehend. I found a wet stain in my bed when I woke the day after.
ComprehensionView OnlineMorbid CuriosityComprehension- One Week Later - I awake with a gasp. The first thing I realize upon awaking is that I don't remember anything that has happened within the past week. Only fragments of what was remains. None of them clear enough to comprehend. I sat up and just sat on the bed for what seemed hours. I was trying to make sense of just what was happening. I remembered absolutely nothing of what happened during the past week, and it scared me. I notice something move in my peripheral vision and snap my head to where the movement was. Nothing. I twitched my ears when I heard a clacking sound behind the door. I looked at the door with fear when it finally opened and a brief image of some grotesque creature that seemed to defy all logic appeared and I suddenly jumped with my heart pounding in my chest. I hear distant voices which should've been impossible, since I live alone. A few moments happened and a loud knock that seemed to echo around my head and I jumped and covered my ears. I quickly laid down in my bed and went into the fetal position and dug my hooves even deeper into my head until my head hurt. For what seemed a long time the knocks kept going until they suddenly stopped. I was roused out of my position by a rough tapping on my side. I flinched and slowly looked up. Two Royal Guards were in my room, and they seemed angry at me. The Guard closest to me asked me this. "Sir, Do you mind telling us why you have a coffin and a corpse in your house?" I stared at him for the longest time before shaking my head and muttering. " No, no, no, no I can't have, I CAN'T have" I continued this rambling for a few more minutes before I was interrupted by the Guard. "Sir, did you or did you not have anything to do with the corpse in your living room" I shook my head. "No, yes, no, yes, I don't remember" I looked up at him. "No sir, but I might've have something to do with since I can't remember anything from the past we-" I pause. It was 5 minutes before the Guard spoke. "Sir?" I screamed and tried to dash under my covers while screaming out, " NO, they can't get me, they mustn't get me". The Guards surged forward and tried to apprehend me, but I was struggling too much. I struggled until I felt a sharp pain on my head and everything went black. There were swirling colors of dark blue and black all whirling around me in a void. There was a very blurry crescent in the distance, but I couldn't make it out clearly before I suddenly dropped into what felt like an ocean but looked like I was in space. A sea of stars stretched out all around, above, and below me. I floated there, trying to comprehend what was happening before a mass of incomprehensible voices started whispering around me. I tried to cover my ears and block out the sound, as it seemed to pierce my head. But I couldn't move. I started mumbling before a skull formed out of the stars along with what seemed to be balls of mist surrounding it before it lunged at me and I woke up screaming. I woke up in an elaborate bedroom, decorated in shades of dark blue when I realized I was on the floor. I stood up and looked around. There was a king sized bed that seemed to take up the majority of the room. There was a mare sleeping soundly on it. I walked closer and examined the mare. She had a dark blue coat with a mane of stars that seemed to float. I noticed she had both wings and a horn. The discovery led to my head straining to remember who she was. I knew who she was but just couldn't remember. Before long, those damned whispers started up around me. I tried to cover my ears bit they wouldn't stop. I looked over to the mare and suddenly, the whispers stopped. I noticed that she was beautiful and graceful. So peaceful. I walked closer to her and stroked her mane. I heard her light breathing and realized how at peace I felt. I looked out the window, but couldn't see anything. There was just black. I saw traces of something moving in the darkness but couldn't see anything. I felt an immense pain around my body and I jerked over and landed on the sleeping mare. The pain stopped. I slowly got up before another wave of pain hit me and I stumbled over again. When I touched the sleeping mare, the pain stopped suddenly. I wondered why this was. I tried to remember who she was again, before my vision started to distort and warp and I was once again in a sea of stars. I started panicking when that same pain wracked my body. I floated there in the sea of stars for what seemed eons as a constant pain throbbed in me. Suddenly the mare from before slowly warped into view in front of me. Hugging me. I looked into her cyan-blue eyes and the pain stopped. I felt peace in that moment before she vanished and the pain came back. I started calling for her to come back before I realized that I still didn't know who she was. I was panicking and thrashing around with that damned pain ebbing through me. Then those whispers started up again and I was truly in misery. I was engulfed in blackness and a small, dingy room came into view. The room stank of a metallic smell. I noticed a table in the middle. I stared at what was on the table. The broken body of a mare with a dark blue coat and a starry mane laid before me. Her eyes were open in fear and her throat was slit. Blood still pouring out but not excessively. She had her body cut open and the organs were visible. There were also tear tracks from what I could see. I looked over her until I caught eye of her cutie mark. A crescent moon over a splotch of black. I stare at it when the room faded out and the crescent appered over me. It loomed over me. I felt a sense of longing, a need to see the broken body or the peacefully sleeping mare. I just floated there, staring at the looming moon when a static noise started up and darkness started to enshroud my vision. I woke up.
ConfusionView OnlineMorbid CuriosityConfusionI came to in a dark cell. The only sounds being the waterdrops dripping from the ceiling. I look around. There's a simple cot in the corner, a hole in the other corner for lavatory reasons and a mirror. I look outside the cell and see nothing. There's just pitch blackness out of the cell. I walk towards the mirror and look at my reflection. There's nothing. I stare at the mirror, trying to make sense of it, when a shriek sounded out. I quickly look for the source of the noise, and find nothing. I sit on the cot, trembling, trying to think of a reason why I might be in a cell. I noticed something in my peripheral vision and turned to look at it. There was a black apparition in the corner, with only two red dots for eyes, just staring at me. I startle and stumble backwards and stare back. For the entirety of what seemed to be a day, I spebt just staring at the apparition, with nothing but the occasional raindrop providing sound. I sit on my throne, carrying out the Day Court as usual. It was a typical day, nothing to provide respite from the monotony. I was waiting for the next subject in line to come in when a guard came in and whispered me something. My eyes widen and I told the servants to cancel the rest of Day Court. I make my way to Luna's room, where I find her sleeping. When she woke up, I informed her of what the guard told me. "The guard has captured the perpetrator responsible for the robbery, Do you wish to come with me to interrogate him?" "Yes dear sister, I wish to take vengeance on what has happened to that poor soul" I smiled and we left for the dungeons. I sat in silence, staring at the apparition in fear. I come out of my stupor with a jolt when a loud noise rang throughout the room and what seemed to be hoofsteps coming towards me. I look out of the cell to still see nothing. But I jerked back when I saw one lone pony come into view. I recognize her from the dream I had, and froze. Staring at her with a gaze that could only be described as creepy. She glares back at me. I start hearing voices that I can't discern, they were distorted. The only voice I could hear clearly was the blue pony with a starry mane in front of me. "Answer her, you cretin!" "A-answer who miss?" She seemed taken aback by my statement and loooked at me with a furious gaze. "Your very Princess! The one who raises the Sun every day!" I look back confused. "S-so you raise the sun miss?" She widened her eyes and yelled at me. "NO, I RAISE THE MOON, AND REFER TO ME AS PRINCESS LUNA, YOU FOUL MISCREANT" "B-but I don't know of any princesses" I hear more distorted voices and then silence. "ANSWER MY SISTER, I HAVE HAD ENOIGH OF YOUR GAMES" I look at her confused. "A-answer who Luna? I only see you" She stared at me like I'd just grown a second head. "You only see me?" I nodded "I only see you, and this phantom that just stares at me" She looked at me, even more baffled. "M-may I say that you look beautiful today miss? Your hair shines in the light and you look plump" She looked at me with alarm and stepped back. "W-why art thou flirting with we?" She whispered I shake my head "Not flirting miss, you just seem to have a very delicious looking body, I can only imagine how your blood looks and your heart" I shivered violently, to the horror of Luna "Do you even know who we are?" I shrugged "No miss" She looked at me with concern and horror and walked away. Some distorted sounds sounding with her. I stare at her until she leaves my vision and I look to the Phantom who has been staring at me throughout the whole exchange. I look at a puddle on the ground and notice that I could see my reflection again, but it ian't following my movements and is very distorted. I look away and climb on the bed, hoping to clear my mind. I got no sleep that night. Author's Note Any critiscm is appreciated, I haven't had much pratice with writing.
