Crab Cakes & Flashes

Back with Crab Cakes and Flash, the duo had just left the building when...

"It's Twilight... why's she coming this way?" Flash said

"Be careful. Who knows what her intentions are." Crab Cakes said as he opened up the driver's door to check for something

"Flash? Crab Cakes? You two were right." Twilight said

"Excuse me?" Crab Cakes went as he accidentally hit his head on the top of his car, "D'OH!!!"

"Hahahahaha! Even to this day you still hit your head on stuff!" Flash laughed

"Flash? What's that?" Crab Cakes asked as he faced Flash

"A fist."

KLONK!

"OOHHW!" Flash went as he held his head, "Pick out two!"

Crab Cakes poked Flash in the eyes instead.

"OAAHOWW!" Flash shouted as he covered his eyes afterward

"What's this I hear? We were right?" Crab Cakes asked

"I got to thinking when Flash told us off back at Sugarcube Corner. Then I just went off on Sunset back at Crystal Prep-"

"Crystal Prep? The freak were you doing over there for?" Crab Cakes asked

"Sunset's idea, not mine. She thought she'd be able to figure you out if she saw your medical files and saw who your dad was to get a better understanding of you." Twilight explained

"So she broke into Crystal Prep just to look at my private files?! What the freak is wrong with her?!" Crab Cakes said, "Why didn't she just ask one of my mothers!? It's not like as if I told her she couldn't speak to them! They know me better than anyone, they raised me for crying out loud! I mean even Celestia, PRINCIPAL MOTHER FUCKING CELESTIA knew that I was raised by two moms, EVERYONE AT CANTERLOT MOTHER FUCKING HIGH KNEW ABOUT IT! Even Flash here knew and he BARELY even remembers me!"

"It's true." Flash said

"Anyways, how do I know you speak the truth when you say you told off Sunset?" Crab Cakes asked, "How do I know you're not just lowering my guard into a false state of security and you won't just backstab me the second me and Flash turn to leave?"

"You can't. You have no reason to trust me after what the Rainbooms and I did to you all those months ago." Twilight said, "You were right. We took too long to give you an apology and as a result, when we did our credibility died. But... the only reason we did was because we figured you didn't want to see us anymore after the way we acted."

"Damn straight." Crab Cakes replied, "But if you all knew that, then why did you finally come up to me with an EXTREMELY late apology?"

"It wasn't my idea. It was Sunsets. She honestly believed that after all the time that had passed you'd be open to forgiving us because of the time mends wounds saying."

"Well, obviously she was wrong. That was one case where she should've either apologized immediately or at the very least the next day or within the same week. But after months she comes with an apology to me? No. She wasn't gonna get that satisfaction. I say that because if you take MONTHS to come up with an apology, your apology loses all credibility and you're just doing it to make yourself feel better." Crab Cakes stated, "Take it from Flash. I pretty much got up in his face about what he did, told him I never wanted to see him again, but even then he came back to me on the same day and made a logically sound apology which I accepted because unlike you girls he knew what he did was deserving of one of my verbal smackdowns, but even then he knew that if he didn't act upon it when he had the chance he'd be in the same boat you all are."

"Exactly." Flash commented

"You don't just WAIT for things like our argument all those months ago to blow over. The kind of argument we had was one I will NEVER forget and forgive them for. Because they backstabbed me in the back and tried to come to me for an apology after months of no contact, at that point? It's like as if they were trying to just pour salt or lemon juice on the wound. It only further damaged us and drove us further apart as a result."

"I didn't come to see you and ask you to forgive me like some priest Crab Cakes. I only came to tell you that you were right. Your words managed to open my mind. I couldn't see what was right there in front of me, I turned my back towards reality and got my mind off track, yeah. You saw through her words, and helped me to see all the possibilities-"

"Hey, every friendship is tested. You can say you're sincere but it's all unclear now. But with a word, everything changes. And just like that, you and I are right back." Crab Cakes interrupted, "When I put Flash in his place, and I thought it was all done for us, my words broke through him, and he came around to fix what he broke. Granted I've not fully forgiven him, but we're mending those ties as we go."

"Like I said. I'm not asking for forgiveness. I only came to say, you were right, we are the bad guys, and thanks for opening my mind." Twilight said

"Hey. It's all good Twilight. It's all good." Crab Cake said offering a fist bump that Twilight returned, "What are you gonna do now?"

"Well, what are you gonna do?" Twilight asked

"Me and Flash were seeing just how much the Rainbooms REALLY damaged everyone's lives. While they're living in this fantasy that friendship will solve all their problems, they're being unaware that they could, in reality, be damaging others in return rather than helping everyone. Though you probably already figured that out." Crab Cakes explained

"Yeah." Twilight responded, "I wanna help."

"R-really? Are you sure about that?" Flash asked, "You should probably think about what you're saying Twilight."

"I know what I'm saying Flash. I wanna see how much damage we've really been doing to people while we were so unaware of the reality going on around us." Twilight said

"Twilight. You really need to think on this. If you do this, you're gonna cut off all your ties to the Rainbooms. Doing this practically marks you for death in the eyes of the Rainbooms, more specifically from what I've seen Sunset especially." Crab Cakes said, "I'll give you until tomorrow to really think about it. This is a decision that will change you Twilight. Be it for better or worse."

"Fine. I'll give you my answer tomorrow." Twilight nodded

And with that, Twilight was off.

"Your words seem to be getting to them." Flash pointed out, "The Rainbooms seem to be falling apart. And they might if Twilight DOES join us."

"I know Flash. But that's not my fault. It's their choice. I have no say over what they do. If they wanna take my words to heart then so be it. They need to know the hard way that they're causing more harm than good."
