You Would Fight For Us, Would You?

It was 8 AM, and Fluttershy woke up to the sounds of medical equipment.

'Oh... My shift starts soon.' She thought to herself. She cruised around the floor and found that there was 18 rooms in total, 3 break rooms, and 5 water/ice cube dispensers in the hallways.

The break rooms had tea bags of her favorite: Chamomile tea. She took a styrofoam cup, filled it with water, put it in the microwave, then put the tea bag in.

'Ooh, that's good.' She thought.

Eventually Fluttershy started her shift. It was tiring of course. Many patients were crying in pain, some of them faking, many had open wounds, many needed insulin, many were sleeping when it was imperative for them to take their medicine, and one of them was in a coma. That was Rainbow Dash.

After the last patient was taken care of for the morning, Fluttershy got to work on paperwork for Rainbow Dash. There were many blanks, such as an address, religion, and more. She could only write down her name.

11 AM came. Fluttershy caught the attention of a doctor working at the hospital. Dr. Jay Weinstein was considered to be good and bad at his job.

He loved to waste time on the job.
He liked girls, so he tried putting some moves on Fluttershy.

"Hello there..." He said gravely to Fluttershy.

Fluttershy looked back and said hello and smiled. Then she got back to her work.

"So... How ya doin'?" He asked.

"Oh, I'm fine..." Fluttershy mumbled.

"Can you repeat that, darling?" He said.

"I'm fine." She said a bit louder.

"That's better. Now, what do yo-" "Sorry, I feel terrible to interrupt. I'm quite busy at the moment; Can we continue another time?" Fluttershy interrupted the doctor.

"Ok, no problemo." He said. He winked as he walked away.

'Creep.' She thought. She was almost done filing the paperwork that was due.

It was Lunch Break. Fluttershy got a small salad and went back to eat in Rainbow Dash's room. She didn't want to miss the moment Rainbow Dash wakes up.

Fluttershy was stress-eating because Rainbow Dash wasn't waking up. Then she wondered how Rainbow Dash would be fed.

'Do I have to feed her?' She thought. Then she realized that a tube was going down to her stomach, so she stopped worrying about it.

The break was over.
'5 more hours... I suppose.' She thought.

The routine was the same. Give some painkillers, give insulin, apply cream or wrap wounds with gauze, give medicine, rinse, and repeat.

Fluttershy was trying to avoid that doctor. He made her uncomfortable. She'd hide in the break room until he left the hallway and even hid in the bathroom.

Eventually, 7 PM came. The nurse came and took over. Fluttershy was glad. She didn't have to hide for the rest of the day.

Fluttershy sat at Rainbow Dash's side again, constantly waiting for her to wake up. She didn't realize that she could eat dinner, but instead fell asleep beside the bed.

7 AM. Fluttershy woke up.
'Oh... Not awake yet...' She thought. She forgot to eat last night, so she ate breakfast. Again, at the side of Rainbow Dash, and it was a salad.

The same thing happened as yesterday. Then she woke up at 7 AM again. The cycle continued for quite a while.

'When will she wake up...' Fluttershy thought.

After a few weeks of work, Rainbow Dash still wouldn't wake up. Fluttershy wanted to be free from this job. It would be fine if that doctor would leave her alone. But even asking him to stop wouldn't stop him.

It made her sad. She wouldn't give up on Rainbow Dash though. She knew that Rainbow Dash would save her eventually... Or would she?
