Author's Note

first off I want to apologize for the chapter being so short. I was planning on making it longer but found that this is a good cliffhanger for the next chapter. anyways thank you all so much for reading the story thus far.

Chapter 6 Part 1

Rarity was outside nervously pacing in front of the castle when her daughter came out with Lucky Rose in her hoof. Upon seeing her daughter Rarity stops her pacing and runs over to her daughter and said in a panicked voice “ Morning are you alright? I was so worried about you. What did you talk to Lucky Rose about darling?”

Morning gave her mom a hug and said “ mom I am doing better than ever. As a matter of fact, could you make me a special dress for tonight? As for what Lucky and I talked about we have an announcement. Diamond Tiara already knows this but when Lucky and I saw each other we fell in love with each other. After I apologized to Diamond Tiara I decided to ask Lucky out and to my surprise, she felt the same and said yes. However, if you don't want us to be with each other I understand and will cut off all ties with your family.”

Rarity and Twilight looked at each other before nodding and said “Morning and Lucky, to be honest, we think you make a cute couple and we approve. However we insist that your first date be tonight. Twilight will make the plans and I will make your dress for your first ever date my daughter. How does that sound to the two of you?”

Morning and Lucky looked at each other and Lucky seeing the tears of happiness in her marefriends eyes said “that sounds absolutely perfect. I know I am glad you accepted us as a couple. Because if you wouldn’t have accepted it you both would’ve lost your daughters. I also know that my marefriend feels the same way I do.”

With everything said and done everypony went home to prepare for the date. However, before Morning left she leaned in and gave Lucky a kiss that was so deep and passionate that even their parents blushed brighter than the sun. At six pm Morning walked into her mom’s work area and said “mom is the dress ready for tonight? Is my jewelry alright as well? Oh no, I feel a panic attack about to happen.”

Rarity hearing that her daughter was upset goes over to her daughter and said while rubbing soothing circles on her back “Rose, my dearest daughter I understand that you are nervous about your first date. However, you can rest assured that I have never seen a greater love than the love between you and Lucky. That kiss you had with her before we left had so much love in it that I blushed. As for your necklace and jewelry they are absolutely gorgeous and perfect.”

Rose having calmed down put the dress on grabbed sixty bits and left to pick up her marefriend for their date. Morning was just about to knock on the door when it is opened. There standing in front of her was Lucky in a dark blue dress that looked like the night sky and on her neck was a necklace with a diamond and the clasp had a padlock on it. Morning seeing this asked, “Lucky why is your necklace padlocked?”

Lucky blushed a deep crimson red and said “It’s a family tradition that when we find our true love to put on a diamond necklace and padlock it until we are married. The key is then given to our true love so that once we are married it can be removed. The diamond symbolizes our vow to always be there and to be pure for the one we love. Here’s the key. Keep it safe my love for you are my true love and I don’t want to lose you.”

Morning took the key and teleported to a lockbox in her room. With the key safe and sound Morning took lucky’s hoof and together with the plan in her mind left for their date. Morning thought hard on the way to Sugarcube Corner and decided if tonight went absolutely perfect she would propose in three months time.
