MLP: The Purge

After 36 hours, Twilight and Applejack were able to finish setting up the barricades around their hotel, while the rest of the Mane 5 spent their time following up on the current news headlines from the Foal Free Press. Inside their hotel room, Rainbow, Rarity, Pinkie, and Applejack armed themselves with the weapons that they obtain from the Manehattan Police station. Rarity used her magic to retrieve a dual set of Blackhawk revolvers, a sniper rifle, and a rapier from the closet. Rainbow Dash picked up a long bow with a quiver of arrows to use for self-defense and a fire Axe. Applejack grabbed a heavy flail and a riot shield for close combat. Pinkie picked up a invisibility cloak from the closet to use while sneaking around during the Purge and a hand-held radio to communicate with her friends. As a matter of fact, the Mane 6 have 4 radios to use in order to stay in touch with each other.

As soon as the Mane 6 went down to the hotel Lobby to get ready for the purge night, the entire hotel staff evacuated the area, leaving Twilight and her friends taking care of the place while they're gone. When she barricaded the hotel with Applejack's help at lobby, Twilight uses her magic to shut the windows closed, covering it up with bullet-proof metal plates. As for the main entrance of the hotel, Applejack installed some automatic shutters to prevent the purgers from breaking into the front. At the lobby desk, they installed a control panel to open and close the shutters.

At the security room behind the lobby desk, they gave Twilight permission to have Fluttershy watch over the security cameras at the main entrance and the emergency exit in case the purgers attempted to break in. As soon as Twilight and Applejack are done with installing the shutters at the main entrance, they barricaded the emergency exit with wooden boards and metal crates stacked on top of each other. After every the barricading is done, Twilight gave Rarity, Pinkie, and Fluttershy radios to use while she takes the fourth one to use when communicating with each other out there.

With just 12 hours left before the start of the Purge, Twilight and the Mane 5 rest up in the lobby and watched TV for a few minutes before they had several hours of sleep.

6:50pm......

As soon as they woke up 10 minutes before the commencement of the Annual Purge, Pinkie Pie and Twilight's team left the hotel, leaving Fluttershy and Rarity holding down the fort. Even though everything in the hotel is all setup and good to go, Fluttershy still couldn't stop thinking that she wouldn't survive the Purge when rescuing their friends in Manhattan.

"Rarity, I'm scared," Fluttershy said while freaking out in silence.

"I'm scared too darling," Rarity told Fluttershy while embracing the frightened pegasus in her hooves. "But we all have to stay strong for our friends in Manhattan, do whatever it takes to protect our friends during the Purge. It'll be okay, Fluttershy."

"Nothing is ever going to be okay!!!" Fluttershy whimpered in fear. "I-I want my Mommy!!!!"

Before Fluttershy could say anymore, the TV started make noises that scared the living Tatarus out of her. As the unicorn fashionista and the yellow pegasus turned around to face the TV, they see a female earth pony news reporter discuss the annual Purge on broadcast.

"Greetings, every pony!" The Foal Free Press reporter spoke on broadcast. "This is the Foal Free Press. Those who are not participating in this year's purge a safe evening. And those who are releasing the beast, a successful cleanse. Good Luck, everypony."

After the reporter disappeared from the public broadcast, Rarity releases Fluttershy from her embrace and activates the console, closing all shutters around the front of the hotel at the first floor. As soon as the shutters sealed off the main entrance, Rarity remembers that Twilight and her team will be using the fire escape in the alleyway behind the hotel to help their rescued friends get inside the hotel. Rarity can only pray that they'll find Coco Pommel, Babs Seed, Rara, and Cheese Sandwich before the purgers could get to them. As for Fluttershy, she went into the security room to watch the surveliance cameras leading outside of the hotel.

"Rarity, if you need me for anything, I'll be in the Security room." Flutteshy said in a hushed frightened tone.

"Of course, darling," Rarity acknowledged. "I'll be on the lookout from up on the second floor."

Just when Fluttershy and Rarity took their positions, the P.A speaker makes its announcement over the broadcast wide screen.

7:00pm........

"This is not a test. This is your Emergency Broadcast System announcing the commencement of the Annual Purge, sanctioned by the Equestrian Government. Weapons of Class 4 or lower have been authorized for use during the purge. All other weapons are restricted. Not pony will be granted immunity from the Purge. Any and all crime, including murder, will be legal for 12 consecutive hours. Royal Guard and Police, Fire Teams, and Medical Staff will be unavailable until tomorrow morning at 7am, when the Purge concludes. Blessed be our Founding Fathers and Equestria, a nation reborn."

After the P.A makes its announcement, the entire city of Manehattan started blaring out the sirens all over the area. As for Twilight's team, they found themselves in the western section of the city when the sirens blarred. Without hesitation, Twilight, Rainbow, and Applejack drew out their weapons before proceeding further downtown. As for Pinkie Pie, she puts on her invisibility cloak and takes out her radio while she makes her way through the alleyways, avoiding as much traps as possible thanks to her Pinkie sense.

"All right, girls," Twilight spoke to Applejack and Rainbow. "Remember, we have to stick together to survive during the night, while escorting our friends off the street. Soon, they will be merciless gangsters, deranged psychopaths, and paramilitary groups attempted to ambush us around ever corner. So, be on our guard, everypony."

"Ya can count on us, Twi!!!" Applejack exclaimed in a fearless tone.

"Bring it on, ya motherfuckers!!!" Rainbow Dash in a excited tone.

"And you, Rainbow Dash, don't try to fly around too much!!" Twilight warned her pegasus friend. "There could be snipers hiding in various tall buildings. Last thing we need right now is to draw unwanted attention. Now let's go, we got some ponies to save and no time to lose."

7:05pm.......

Somewhere on the other side of Manehattan, a scruffy looking unicorn with the big beard came up to the balcony with a 6-pack of cider in his left hoof and a sniper rifle being carried by his magic, along with an ammo bag. As soon as he reached to the edge of the balcony, the unicorn took out a bottle of cider and popped open the cap. After he placed the bottle a few feet next to him on his left, the unicorn took out his sniper rifle and aimed it at the streets down below him, with his ammo bag on his right.

In another suburban area of Manehattan, an earth pony stallion walks down the sidewalk carrying an executioner axe on his shoulders with his left hoof. He was wearing a black executioner's mask over his head and is showing skull tattoos all over his fur coat.

In eastern part of Manehattan, a group of unicorns and pegasi are walking down the city streets all armed with hunting rifles, flamethrowers, fishhooks, spears, and harpoon guns. While they're making their trek towards the waterways, the group was accompanied by a couple of hunting dogs, all barking and snarling at their surroundings. As for the group themselves, they're all making a lot of "Wooing" and "Grunting" noises while smoking their cigarettes.

At the waterways of Manehattan, a pirate ship sets off towards the pier; It happens to be a large galleon without any cannons mounted out on deck. Out on deck, there were Minotaur and Griffon pirates all armed with musket rifles, cutlasses, double-bladed axes, and blunderbusses. Most of the pirates were all shouting in gibberish tones, while some were cheering and saying "Yo! Ho! Yo! Ho! A pirate's life for me!!!" in the middle of the group. As for their pirate captain, he happens to be a huge minotaur with an eye patch. The captain happens to be armed with a long hunting rifle that is equipped with a scope and a sling, in which was hung from his left shoulder all the way to his lower right hip. As the captain steered the ship close to the docks, he spotted two unicorns wandering around the pier, armed with assault rifles.

"Ah, fresh meat, boyz!!" The Captain hissed in excitement. "Time for blood, ya scallywags!!!"

As the two unicorns spotted the Pirate Captain's ship close in on them, they attempted to aimed their rifles at the pirates, only to be shot down by an overwhelming fire from the pirate's blunderbusses. After firing several shots at the unicorns, the pirates see their bodies fall off the pier and plummeted straight into the ocean, leaving behind a spot of water filled with their blood. Upon seeing the unicorn corpses appear floating in the water, the captain ordered his crew members to collect their corpses and hung them onto the main mast of their galleon before proceeding down the pier.

7:15pm......

The moment Twilight, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash ventured through the city during the Purge night, they started hearing all sorts of distant screams and gunfire echoing throughout Manehattan, freaking the living vibes out of them from the inside. After several minutes of surveillance around the neighborhood, in Manehattan, Pinkie was able to inform Twilight's team that Babs Seed was last seen in the alleyways of suburban area west of Manefair Hotel. As soon as they take point, Twilight reminded Pinkie to warn them if there is any traps or groups of purgers nearby. Upon heeding Twilight's advice, Pinkie makes contact from her radio while hiding in the shadows inside a nearby trashcan.

"Twilight, there is several houses being barricaded with wooden planks and several net traps being placed in the back of the suburban houses," Pinkie informed the purple alicorn.

"Pinkie, did you find any purgers that we need to watch out for?" Twilight asked while holding the radio with her magic.

"Not yet, Twilight," Pinkie responded as she shook her head. "I'll keep in touch if there are!!!"

"Good," Twilight said as she acknowledged Pinkie's response. "Rainbow, keep on a lookout from behind and remember to fly low, so that the snipers do not see you."

"Understood, Twi!!" Rainbow said as she took to the skies while hiding behind the trees in the suburban area.

7:26pm.....

"All guys, remember what Caleb wants us to do," The unidentified pony said as he turned towards a group of unicorn purgers. "We are to lure Princess Twilight out in the open using some bait. As soon as we have her in our sights, light her up!!!"

As his purger group spread out, the unidentified pony happens to be a Red unicorn with a green mane and tail who is wearing a black hood with a psycho mask covering up his face. He was armed with a sawn-off shotgun and has old scratch marks all over his body. The unicorn and his comrades are all dressed up in black and red paramilitary uniforms wearing black-armored helmets and gas masks on their faces. The unidentified unicorn went to observe his surroundings when all of a sudden, he spots a little brown earth filly wandering around the streets in distress. As he used his magic to take out his hit list, the unicorn recognizes the filly as Babs Seed, who one of Applejack's younger cousins. Since he heard that Applejack is one of Twilight's friends, it gave the unicorn a grim idea.

In the same suburban area, Babs Seed was desperately trying to find another safe place to hide during the 3rd year's Annual Purge. After several minutes of struggling to do so, Babs failed to get the residents inside their barricaded houses her attention. Before she was able to leave the area, Babs was suddenly grabbed by a nearby purger from behind. The next thing she knew is that they covered up her face with a brown bag before dragging her to their gang leader. As soon as Babs was presented before the unidentified unicorn, he took off his mask revealing that he had a big scar on his right eye and a "X" mark on his left check. His mane was cut into a short stack of hair. Upon seeing the unicorn in person, Babs started freaking out while being tied up by one of his comrades.

"Hello little filly," The unicorn grinned in a evil look. "Nice night for a walk, eh?!"

"W-Who are you?? What do you want??" Babs Seed shrieked in terror.

"You are going to help me complete our killing contract!!" The unicorn spoke in a hostile tone. "The NFFE is offering a contract of 25 million bits for taking out Princess Twilight and her friends during the Purge Night."

Before Babs could say anymore, she was met with a gag over her mouth and was taken to a hangman's noose in the middle of the suburb area. As they prepare to hang the poor little filly by her hooves, the purging unicorn ordered his men to spread out and hide in the shadows next to the suburb houses while waiting to ambush the purple alicorn. Just when they setup their ambush points, the purging unicorn gets a call on the radio.

"Who's this??" The purging unicorn spoke while on the radio.

"Scorpion, this is Caleb Warren!" The voice from the radio spoke. "Are you there?!"

"Yes, I am sir," Scorpion said while responding to his radio. "We're preparing to ambush the princess out in the open."

"Good. If you take her down, hold out until the end of the purge before you're rewarded," Caleb said through Scorpion's radio.

"Understood, sir!!" Scorpion exclaimed in silence before turning off his radio.

Unbeknownst to Scorpion and his paramilitary group, Pinkie was watching their leader from behind a picket fence, while under her stealth cloak.

8:06pm.......

After slowly disarming every trap that Applejack came across, Twilight received a call from the her radio.

"Twilight, this is Pinkie Pie," The pink pony whispered in a hushed tone. "You've got a group of freaks waiting to ambush you at suburban area. They're all hiding within the shadows of the suburban houses surrounding Babs Seed and they have her tied up to a post with her arms stretch out wide."

"Pinkie," Twilight said as she responded to the pink pony on the radio. "I need you to bring out a decoy to put out in the open."

"Roger that!!" Pinkie whispered while under her stealth cloak.

As Twilight's team approached to a nearby house facing south of where Babs Seed is held, they hid behind a trash dumpster while a cloaked Pinkie took out a controller and directed a Twilight dummy with a remote toy car attached to its left, front hoof. Upon seeing Twilight Sparkle appear heading directly towards Babs Seed, Scorpion's minions opened fire with their assault rifles and with their magic upon the alicorn, unaware that it was just a decoy. After a few minutes later, Scorpion's minions came up from their hiding spots and went over to investigate the the dead alicorn. As soon as they got closer, they didn't see any blood come out of it. When Scorpion got closer to inspect the situation. Upon seeing their target, Scorpion's eyes widened with confusion.

"What the nelly??" Scorpion spoke in a questioned tone of voice. "It's just a dummy made out of plastic foam!!!"

Before any of Scorpion's minions could do anything else, one of purging unicorns was met with a sharp arrow piercing the back of his skull with the arrowhead coming out and puncturing his left eye. The next thing that happened is when the unicorn fell to his side dead on the street, with blood coming out of his head. The moment Scorpion and his men turned around, they see Twilight, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash opening fire at them in a heartbeat.

"Gotcha, losers!!!" Rainbow Dash cackled as she shot out more arrows at the purgers.

"TAKE COVER!!!" Scorpion barked as he shouted out orders to his men.

One of the paramilitary ponies drew out an axe and attempted to hack Applejack with it. However, Applejack grabbed thug's hoof that had the axe and kicked him in the stomach with her left hind legs, making him stumble backwards. Before the thug was able to get back at them, Applejack slammed the axe across his chest, making him bleed as let out a loud "DAH!!" at the top of his lungs. As the thug hit the ground, Rainbow Dash came up to him and kicked him in the chin, making the thug fall onto back before she finished him off with several poundings from her front hooves right on top of his head. During the time Rainbow beaten the thug to death, Applejack hurled the axe that she grabbed from one of the thugs earlier and threw it at one of Scorpion's men up front. Upon impact, the hurling axe slammed into the chest of one of Scorpion's men before he fell to side, groaning in pain as blood leaked from his wound.

When Twilight came right next to Applejack, she opened fire with her AA-12 automatic shotgun. Every Twilight's gun started blazing, it showered Scorpion's men with a powerful burst of shots. Upon impact, several of Scorpion's men fell dead on the streets after they were met with bloody wounds puncturing all over their bodies by Twilight's AA-12. As soon as Twilight was done emptying her magazine onto Scorpion's men, one of them drew out a sword and started swinging at the purple alicorn out of fury. Unfortunately, Twilight casted her shield barrier, blocking the thug's sword strikes before drawing out her broadsword from her scabbard. As soon as her shields dissipated, Twilight stabbed the thug squarely in the chest with her sword. As a result, the thug screamed in pain before he was met with a hoofpunch to the face by Twilight Sparkle.

Rainbow Dash unfurled her wings and flew straight into one of Scorpion's men in the chest, pinning him to the ground. Before he had a chance to react, the purging thug was met with both of his hooves being pulled towards his back by Rainbow Dash and received a strong kick in the back. Upon receiving such damage, Rainbow broke his spine before the thug fell flat on his stomach and passes out during the fight. As for Applejack, after she hurled the axe at one of Scorpion's thugs, the earth farm pony took out her riot shield and slammed it straight into the 2nd thug before he had a chance to fire his rifle at her. Upon impact, the thug's rifle fired a shot up into the sky unwillingly as his face got smashed in by Applejack's riot shield. After the thug fell onto his right, Applejack drew out her heavy flail and started swinging at one of Scorpion's men, smashing her third target in the face before he collapsed onto the street, followed by a "BLURGH!!!" noise.

As soon as Rainbow finished off 3rd thug, she sees another of Scorpion's men charging straight at her two a two-handed axe. Before he had a chance to strike, however, Rainbow grabbed the thug's axe with both hooves and threw a very hard punch at his face, knocking him out as he fell to his right side. When Rainbow moved forward, she picked up a nearby sword from one of the thugs that Twilight killed and made a diagonal slash from the ground all the way to up to her right at the 4th thug.

After shooting down 5 more of Scorpion's men with her AA-12, Scorpion ordered his paramilitary group to fall back and regroup at the other side of the Suburban. As soon as Twilight and two of her friends finished off the remaining stragglers, Applejack came up to Babs Seed and untied her from the post. Upon being released, Babs immediately hugged Applejack as she started wailing after being scared of getting purged by the criminals in Manehattan.

"Are you okay, Babs Seed?" Applejack asked her little filly cousin while embracing the terrified filly.

"Oh Applejack! I was so scared; you've had no idea!!!" Babs whimpered during her cousin's embrace. "The last time I was with the Orange relatives is when I went to a nearby arcade to have some fun. They said that they'll be in the next store, but when I got there after I had fun, the Oranges were nowhere to be seen."

"I'm so sorry, sugarcube," Applejack said as she apologized to her cousin. "But don't worry, Babs. We found another place where we can hold up until the purge ends."

As soon as Babs let go of Applejack, she sees Twilight appear right behind her. Enraged at what the purple alicorn did two years ago, Babs was about to charge straight at Twilight out of retribution. However, Applejack grabbed the angry little filly by the hooves before she could even lay a hoof on Twilight Sparkle.

"YOU INSENSITIVE, BUCKING IDIOT!!!" Babs yelled at Twilight while being held by Applejack. "Ah can't bucking believe you. Ma parents are both dead because of dat damn purge you enacted two years ago!!!!"

"Babs, she's not worth it anymore," Applejack said trying to calm the angry little filly down. "We all hated her for doing dat. However, we blamed the NFFE more than we blamed Twi because they threatened her earlier that if she doesn't have Manehattan purged, they'll insist on purging Ponyville and the other cities outside of Manehattan."

"But my most my friends, my family, and my teacher are all dead because of her," Babs snarled as she pointed her hoof at Twilight Sparkle. "Why can't we teach that imbecile a lesson when we had the chance, ah?"

"Because Babs, we won't be any different from the purgers in Manehattan or any different from the NFFE!!!" Applejack answered in a sharp voice. "Dis is exactly what dey wanted us to do; their main purpose of enacting the purge is to vent out all anger and aggression all in one night every year. But since we're supposed to be de heroes of Equestria, we have ta do our best not to let de purity of dis bucking purge git de best out of us, y'all!!!"

After a few minutes of silence from hearing Applejack's reasoning, Babs stared at the two elder ponies in shock and fear, while being carried on top of Applejack's back.

"Let's go guys, before more purgers show up," Twilight told the group as they escorted Babs Seed out of the suburban area.

9:15pm.......

Meanwhile, back at the Manefair Hotel, Rarity was camping out on the balcony of the second floor when all of a sudden, a small gang of ponies appeared from her left and they were all glaring at her in extreme prejudice. They were wearing white scary-looking pony masks that have razor sharp teeth, with fresh bloodstains on their fur coats. Amongst them, was another female earth pony that Rarity finds very familiar. The moment Rarity took a closer look at the earth pony, she takes off her mask, revealing herself to be none other than Suri Polomare!!! Upon seeing her nemesis again, Rarity's eyes widened with horror, while sweating underneath her mane, in fear that Suri is preparing to get revenge on her for winning against her at the Fashion Week contest in Manehattan. Before Rarity could say anymore, Suri stepped forward and looked up towards Rarity while still on the balcony of the hotel's second floor.

"Hello, Rarity!!!" Suri snarled in fury. "DID YOU MISS ME????"

"As a matter of fact, I do not!!!" Rarity exclaimed in horror. "Twilight already told me that you're going to purge us tonight. Well, don't even try!!!"

"WE'LL SEE ABOUT THAT, YOU BITCH!!!!" Suri shouted in anger.
