Lucette Petremol was just looking to have some friendly fun at a costume party. Maybe show up a few people with her amazing cosplay of a character she made up. She wasn't looking to be transported through dimensions into a world of fantasy and make-believe. She also wasn't looking to become a ruler of a country, or be forced to deal with politicians for the rest of her foreseeable future.
