Canterlot, Home (not doing pov anymore unless it changes)

I laid Twilight down onto the couch before running over to the kitchen to get water for her. Once I had a glass of water I went over to Twilight and sat down on the nearby footstool and put the glass to lips after making sure that it would go down without complication and poured it. A bit seeped out of her mouth but she looked a bit better. I couldn't do anything for here malnutrition yet, I grabbed the book from the nearby stand and wrote "I found your student but she was unconscious and is suffering from malnutrition. I gave her some water but until she wakes up I can't do anything else for her."

While I was waiting for Celestia to reply or Twilight to wake up I tried to find information about Sunset, turns out I did know about her, because she was a minor league duelist who had yet to loss a match. I searched it up and found out she was going to be attending Duel Academy this year, the reply had come through when I went to look "This is bad if what I remember from the last time I was in that world, Humans are omnivores, Twilight is a Herbivore so don't feed her meat it won't end well. Also have you found out anything about Sunset?"

I quickly wrote out my reply "I will make it key to remember that, also I did find out about Sunset Shimmer. She is going to be attending my school, school starts in a few weeks and I could get Twilight registered if she was conscious. She would just need to get the written exam answers right and get a decent grade on the practical exam."

She quickly wrote back "Your still in school? How hard are these tests? And what school is this?" I sighed

I wrote back with "Yes I am still in school I'm just matured for my age, the tests are hard if you don't know what to do. The written exam is easy I got a 98% on it but I only missed one question because it is a ridiculous question, and the practical exam is not that hard just need to get 50% at least to get into the school. The school is called Duel Academy where people go to become duelists depending on your rank you get an exception level which can help you later in life."

After I finished this I heard groaning to my side, Twilight was waking up "I got to go Twilight just woke up." With that I shut the book and put it on the coffee table.

Twilight moaned in pain and tried to get up "W-Where am I?" She asked to herself, making me chuckle to which she immediately looked at me startled and yelled out "S-S-Stay back!"

I stopped chuckling and said "I'm not going to hurt you Twilight your mentor led me to you." She moved back startled but stopped trying to run away.

"W-What? You mean Princess Celestia sent you." She asked

I responded with "Yes and No. Yes Celestia asked me to get you, no I did not come from the other side of the mirror. But we have a plan to get your crown back and get you home."

"How? Sunset is missing and the portal has closed and I won't be able to get back for three years." Once she finished her tirade she started to bawl her eyes out. I didn't know she was stuck her for three years, this would complicate things, but I quickly came up with a solution that would most likely work.

"Twilight" I started gaining her attention "I may not be the best with magic but couldn't you just make a device to channel that books," I pointed over my shoulder "that I have been using to contact Celestia, magic into the portal, and make it possible to open it up. And I found out Sunset is going to Duel Academy which" I pulled out my letter from DA "I already can go into, and have plans to help you get in, to get the crown back."

She looked at me with a new spark in her eyes "I-I can go home?" She just on the verge of crying again, I nodded and the dam broke, she cried on my shoulder as I just held her their for about 20 minutes before she started to fall asleep but I stopped her

"No" I said "you need food in you first your going to starve yourself to death if we don't get you food." I went over to my fridge remembering Celestia's advice that I should only give her veggies and fruits. I grabbed two apples out of the bowl next to my fridge, one for me one for Twilight, and hurried over to where Twilight was and handed her the apple.

"Thanks." She said before taking a bite out of the apple.

"Well" I started "were going to need to get you a deck otherwise you won't be able to go to the school." She looked at me inquisitively, I sighed, this was going to be a long week

Canterlot, Canterlot Park, One week afterwards

Twilight had learned a lot more than I thought she could in a week, she had all but mastered special summoning, fusion summoning, and XYZ summoning. Now it was time to test her skill, we were both standing at the edge of the park with our duel disks out. We both launched the duel hologram projectors and called out "DUEL!"

"Teacher over student." I said as I drew my first card "I activate Sanctuary of Parshath, with this Fairy-type monsters on my side of the field gain 300 attack and defense, also as an added bonus all set cards cannot be destroyed by card effect." I said as a white hall appeared around us "I now summon out Opera the Melodious Diva, set two cards and end my turn."

Twilight nodded and said "I draw" Drawing her 6th card "I summon Magician's Rod in attack position, now since he was normal summoned I can add a dark magician spell/trap card from my deck to hand." Twilight said as she searched her deck for the card she wanted "I add Dark Magical Circle, and now I activate this allows me to excavate the top three cards of my deck, then if there is a spell/trap the lists Dark Magician I can add it to my hand." She looked at the top three cards then placed them back in a different order "I didn't get a card but I got to arrange now I set three cards and end my turn."

I knew what she was waiting for but I wouldn't let her initiate her plan. "I draw" I said as I drew a card "I activate Heavy Storm you destroy all spells and traps on the field." A gale force whirlwind whipped through the area taking my three cards and her four cards.

Twilight frowned but said "I activate my face down Eternal Soul and use its effect to add Thousand Knives to my hand."

With that I continued "My two face downs Statue of the Wicked activates, I can summon a wicked token for each one. Now I tribute them both for Mozarta the Melodious Maestra, I use her effect to special summon Tamtam the Melodious Diva, and since she was special summoned I get to add a Polymerization to my hand." I said as I searched through my deck "I add Fusion Substitute which is always counted as Polymerization. Now I activate Fusion Substitute and fuse Opera and Tamtam to fusion summon Schuberta the Melodious Maestra, her effect activates, Schuberta allows me to banish three cards in either graveyard so say goodbye to Magician's Navigation, Illusion Magic, and Eternal Soul." Twilight removed those three cards from play like stated "Also she gains 200 attack points for each so she now has 3000 attack points. I attack your Magician's Magician's Rod with Mozarta and you directly with Schuberta." A cloud of dust was kicked up from the attack which should have been an OTK but Twilight was still standing thanks to the discarded Kuriboh (Twilight: 2800)

I chuckled and Twilight started her turn "I draw" She had closed her eyes when she drew and they sparkled with hope when she opened them. "YES! I activate Card of Sanctity this allows us to draw until we hold six cards." We both drew until our hands where full. "I activate Ancient Rules to summon the Dark Magician and use another Ancient Rules to summon another Dark Magician. I now use them to build the overlay network and XYZ summon Ebon Illusion Magician, I use his effect by detaching an overlay material I can summon a normal monster from my deck to the field. I summon another Dark Magician, next I activate Thousand Knives to destroy Schuberta." After Twilight said this knives rose out of the ground and shredded my monster "I then activate monster reborn to revive the Dark Magician I sent to the graveyard. I attack your monster with Dark Magician which causes Ebon Illusion Magician effects to activate, since a normal monster on my side of the field is battling your monster, I can banish your. Now my two remaining magicians direct attack for the game" The two magicians held there staffs over each other and a ball of energy came out of the tip and rushed towards getting rid of all of my life points.

I clapped slowly as the dust cleared away "Great job Twilight." I said as I patted her on the back "Your gonna be ready for the practical exam in two weeks. She smiled meekly as we both walked away headed towards my house to rest, we where going to need.

We can't have the main character win all the time, and did anyone notice that Twilight has slight depression.
