New Face in Town
Just a Get Together
Previous ChapterNext ChapterPinkie sighed as she closed the door to her room, allowing her sister some much needed rest. She didn’t understand why Marble was so shy, it didn’t compute.
“Maybe I need to ask Somepony for advice”, Pinkie contemplated as she walked behind the front counter.
The put her hoof on her chin and tried to think about who to ask.
“U-Uhm, Pinkie?”, said a timid voice.
Upon hearing the voice, Pinkie perked up.
“Hiya, Fluttershy! What brings you here?”, Pinkie asked her friend.
“I’ll tale a dozen doughnuts, glazed please”, Fluttershy said with a smile.
“Okie Dokie Loki! One batch coming right up!”, said Pinkie as she got to work in the kitchen.
Her brain then shot forth an interesting thought,
“Marble and Flutters are quite alike-“, she stopped her thought, and then she smiled.
“That’s it it! Fluttershy is the answer! But how do I get them to mingle?”, Pinkie’s brain once again reached a fork in the road.
“Pinkie, is everything alright”, called Fluttershy.
“You betcha, Flutters”, she said back.
As she put the doughnuts in oven, she went over to Fluttershy.
“Hey, Flutter?”, Pinkie said.
“Yes Pinkie?”, Fluttershy said back.
“I sorta have this problem, and I think you’re the only one who can fix it”, she’s admitted.
“O-Oh, alright Pinkie, what seems to be the problem?”, she responded curiously.
“You know my sister, Marble. She’s having a hard time fitting in here, and since your shy, I thought you could help her out”, Pinkie asked.
Fluttershy thought about it, and then spoke,
“Alright Pinkie, where is she?”, Flutter said.
“Shes upstairs, lets go”, Pinkie said, dragging Fluttershy up the stairs.
Pinkie gave a soft knock,
“Marble, it’s me. You ok?”, Pinkie asked.
No answer......not even a snore.
Pinkie opened the door, only find Marble sobbing in bed.
“Marble? What wrong?”, Pinkie asked, worried for her sister.
Marble opened her mouth, was she really about speak?
“Pinkie, I’m sorry that I don’t talk much. I just don’t know what to say, I wouldn’t want hurt someponys feelings, it would hurt me more than them”, Marble spoke, shocking both mares.
“M-Marble....”, Pinkie said, choking up.
Pinkie embraced her sister as Fluttershy watched on.
“Pinkie, I don’t want to be silent anymore”, Marble spoke.
“Really?! Oh, thank you Celestia!”, Pinkie said happily.
Fluttershy spoke up,
“Why don’t we go downstairs and have some doughnuts?”, she asked with a smile.
“Sure”, Marble said, smiling.
It sure was a good day.
