Marble woke up to a beautiful sunrise. The day before was great, she had overcome her fear of social interaction, and had a nice doughnut and tea party with Pinkie and Fluttershy.

“Sleepyhead!”, She heard a voice say.

“Good morning, sis. Sleep well?”, Marble asked her sister.

“You bet I did! How about you?”, Pinkie replied giddy.

“Pretty good, your bed is soft!”, Marble said with a giggle.

Pinkie almost shed a tear. She had never heard her sister so happy. In fact, she almost never heard her at all. That changed, though, and she couldn’t be happier.

“You want some breakfast, Marble?”, Pinkie asked.

“Sure Pinks, lets go get some”, she replied walking out of the room.

The Pie sisters went downstairs to the kitchen, where they Mr. and Mrs. Cake and their foals having breakfast.

“Morning, Pinkie. Who’s your friend?”, Mr. Cake asked.

Pinkie blushed, she had forgotten to introduce her own sister to Mr. Cake.

“This is my baby sister Marble Pie. The one who was coming to stay”, Pinkie said.

“Hi....”, Marble greeted.

“Well, I’ll be. She said something!”, Mrs. Cake butted in.

Marble blushed, she hadn’t expected anypony to react like that.

“I know, right! She came out of her shell last night”, Pinkie stated proudly.

Mr. Cake just looked confused, why were they so proud of that?

“You see honey”, Mrs. Cake said, noting her husbands confusion, “Marble didn’t really say much until she came here yesterday. It seems Pinkie helped her have a voice”.

“Oh, that makes sense”, he added.

“Oh! Marble, there are to other people you need to meet”, Pinkie said pointing towards the Cake Twins.

“Meet Pumpkin and Pound Cake!”, Pinkie said while nuzzling the two foals.

The giggled when they saw Marble.

“Well aren’t you two just a couple of sweethearts”, Marble said towards the foals.

“Anyway, me and Marble are going to town”, Pinkie said while looking at Marble.

“W-We are?”, Marble asked.

“Yes silly, there’s so much you need to see, and so much you need to do!”, Pinkie said funnily.

Marble chuckled, she liked when Pinkie talked like that.

“Alright Sis, lets go”, Marble said walking towards the door.

Pinkie nodded and they were on their way.

Applejack was bored beyond belief. Her apple stand was barely getting customers. She looked around and saw Pinkie and Marble happily trotting away.

“Pinkie, Marble, over here!”, she yelled, hoping to get their attention.

She succeeded, as the two Pies walked over.

“Howdy Pinkie!”, she adressed Pinkie.

“Hi!”, Pinkie responded.

“Howdy Marble!”, she asked, not expecting a response.

“Hello”, Marble said with a smile.

Applejack’s jaw dropped, had she heard right?

“Marble......did you just......talk”, she asked dumbfounded.

“Uh..Yeah?”, Marble responded.

“Well, this is great! Now we can talk easier”, Applejack chuckled

Marble chuckled and just smiled.

“Anyway, watcha up to AJ?”, Pinkie said.

“Just sitting, bored off my flank”, Applejack

“Aww, that’s not good. Can we do anything to cheer you up?”, Marble said.

“I know! AJ, I’ll take 2 apple fritters”, Pinkie said mouth watering.

“Ok Pinkie, that’ll be 4 bits”, she said.

Pinkie handed the currency over and grabbed the fritters.

Marble took a big bite out of hers, she had never tried an apple fritter.

“Oh my!”, said Marble.

“What is it, Sugarcube?”, Applejack said concerned.

“This. Is. AMAZING!”, Marble screamed, causing other ponies to stare.

Applejack grinned from ear to ear, Nopony had ever reacted so warmly towards her family’s fritters.

“Glad y’all like it”, she said with a grateful smile.

“Like it? I love it!”, Marble said while cheerfully eating her treat.

Pinkie was so happy she began to bounce.

“Say, me and the gang are having a bonfire, y’all wanna come?”, Applejack suddenly asked.

“Will there be more fritters?”, Marble asked.

Applejack chuckled,

“Yes, Marble there will be fritters”, Applejack said with a grin.

“Can we please go Pinkie? Please?”, she asked the elder Pie.

“Of course, silly! What’s a party without the Pie family!”, Pinkie responded bouncing.

“Alright! I’ll see y’all there!”, Applejack said happily joining in the mood.

Marble smiled, but she was also kind of worried.

“This is my first party in a long time, how will I do?”, she thought.

Only one way to find out.....
