My Brave Pony: Starfleet Magic: The New Member (Rewrite)

Pharynx, Pyrite, Pyrax, Silver and Crystal, the five changelings that were shown the magic of friendship by Major Jewel Crystal. Now they were beginning their first friendship lesson.

“Alright you guys, your first lesson is about trusting your instincts. Your instincts tell you when something doesn’t seem right.”

“Like what?” Pyrite asked.

“Like when someone you know is accused of something that you know is something they would never do.” Jewel replied.

“Like the way your gave us a chance when the other ponies wouldn’t?” Silver asked.

“Exactly.”

Knock Knock Knock

Jewel walked over to the door and opened it revealing two royal guards. “Umm. Hello, is there anything I can help you with?”

“Major Jewel Crystal you are hereby under arrest for treason.” One guard said. The five changelings all gasped in horror. “Treason?!” Jewel cried. “Why?”

“We cannot say.” The other guard stated. “Just come with us.”

Jewel reluctantly went with the guards to New Canterlot Palace while her changeling friends all watched with horror.

“Arrested for treason!” Pharynx said. “There must be some mistake.”

“We’ve got to find Commander Lightning!” Silver said. “Maybe he’ll be able to clear Jewel’s name.”

The others agreed and raced to Lightning’s house. “Commander Lightning! Commander Lightning!” Crystal cried.

Starla opened the door. “Pharynx? What’s are you and the others doing here?”

“We need Commander Lightning’s help.” Pyrite said. “Who called for me?” All do them turned and saw Lightning coming towards them. “Commander Lightning, Jewel just got arrested for treason by two royal guards!” Silver cried.

Starla and Lightning gasped in shock. “That can’t be right!” Starla replied.

“We know. We think you might be able to clear her name.” Pharynx pleaded. “Okay. Let’s go to New Canterlot. Starla, round up the others.” Lightning stated.

Soon, everybody was at New Canterlot Palace and called into the throne room by their majesties. “Master, What’s going on?” Lightning asked.

“Yeah. Why in the hotel-bills is Jewel accused of treason?” Applejack added.

“She would never do anything to harm the kingdom!” Artie added.

“Yesterday night, security cameras caught Jewel purposely setting changelings loose from the prison caverns.” Luna said.

“But she was with me and the others last night, your majesties.” Pharynx objected.

“Unfortunately, the cameras say otherwise.” Using her magic she shown the gang the security footage from last night. It showed Jewel going to some changeling cells and purposely using her magic to break the capture spheres and setting the changelings loose. The ponies couldn’t believe it. “That can’t be true!” Lightning cried. “I’m sorry Lightning, but we have no choice but to take decisive action.” Celestia added.

“You mean a trial?” Lightning asked.

Grand Ruler nodded regretfully. “But Jewel couldn’t have done that.” Pyrite said.

“But the cameras show that she is guilty.” Pinkie said.

“Well.... we’ll just have to prove her innocence.” Crystal stated.

Their majesties could see that the changelings were not believing that Jewel would do something so horrid and were determined to prove her innocent. “Very well, we will give you until the morning of the trial to prove Jewel Crystal is innocent.” Grand Ruler stated. The five changelings nodded. The meeting was soon over and the changeling s all gathered in the Golden Oak Library. “So how are we going to prove Jewel’s innocent Pharynx?” Pyrax asked.

“First stop, the scene of the crime!” Pharynx stated. All the changelings went to the prison xaverns and searched the ground for snyhting useful. “Hey guys! Look!” Pyrite called. The others came over and saw a piece of hair on the floor. It was aquamarine with a purple streak in it! “That looks like Jewel’s hair!” Silver said.

“But look! It’s darker than usual.” Crystal noticed. She was right. The hair piece was a darker color than Jewel’s bright colored mane. “But how can Jewel’s hair be here but it’s not Jewel’s hair?” Pyrite asked. Next they looked at the security cameras again. They saw Jewel walking to all of the cells and unlocking them using her magic.

“Stop! Zoom in!” Crystal zoomed in on Jewel. It showed there was something off about her magic aura. “See her magic aura?” Crystal asked. “Yeah. It was green instead of pink.” Silver replied.

“And Jewel looks way darker in skin and mane tone as well.” Pyrite said.

“So how can Jewel be there if Jewel was with us last night?” Silver asked.

“There’s only one explanation.” Pharynx stated. “It’s a changeling doing this.”

The others gasped in shock. “But how? Starfleet capturered all the bad changelings... well.... except us.”

“We’ll just have to stakeout this area and find out.” Pharynx stated.

That night the changelings disguised as rocks were hiding in the prison caverns. The door opened and a figure walked in. It went to one of the prison cells and opened it and using its magic, broke the capture sphere dealing the bad changeling. “Thanks.”

Suddenly, the reformed changelings made themselves visible. “Hold it!” Pyrite turned on the light revealing a dark Jewel.

“Sooo, you’ve finally caught on huh?” Mean Jewel said.

“So you’re the one whose been releasing all the bad changelings.” Crystal said. Mean Jewel laughed. “Took you long enough.”

“Why are you doing this?” Pharynx growled.

“My masters wanted to make sure that pesky animal unicorn was out of the way. So Chrysalis created me and assigned me to release her army. That way the ponies would accuse my goody two shoes double of it, so they would lock her up and she’d be unable to assist them anymore and that way she’d get her army back and we could easily destory the ponies.” Mean Jewel explained.

“What does our mentor have to do with this?” Silver asked.

“My masters thought that if they couldn’t get rid of that pony then the ponies would get rid of her for us.” Mean Jewel said.

“So you thought if you made Jewel look like a traitor then our friends would lock her away for good!” Pyrax stated.

“And it worked perfectly.” Mean Jewel hissed.

“Well your plan is about to be terminated!” Pharynx stated. He and Crystal trapped Mean Jewel in their goop, preventing her from moving . The others placed the changeling back into prison.

“Great! Now we can prove Jewel is innocent!” Silver cried with relief.

The next morning the trial was held. The ponies didn’t see the changelings and they decided that they couldn’t get any evidence that Jewel was innocent, which they thought would happen. The security cameras were shown as evidence.

Grand Ruler then stood and called to the Judges, “Will the Panel need to deliberate?”

“We see no need. We have decided on our verdict.” said the Chairman.

“You may proceed.” said Celestia. Everyone in the court stood waiting to final word from the Chairman. “It is the ruling of the supreme world high court of United Equestria that the defendant, Major Jewel Crystal, is found-“ before he could continue the doors burst open. “STOP!”

“Everybody turned and saw Pyrite, Pharynx, Pyrax, Silver and Crystal at the door. “Jewel’s innocent she didn’t commit the crime!” Silver cried out.

“Pfft. Oh yeah, then where’s your proof?” Rainbow asked showing a floating smirk. Pyrite and Crystal brought in Mean Jewel much to everybody shock, even their majesties.

“What is that horrid thing?” Rarity asked.

“It’s a changeling disguised as Jewel that Chysalis made!” Pharynx stated. Everybody gasped. “A created changeling!” Rainbow said. “Why would they do that?”

“So that you all would send Jewel to prison thereby getting her out of the way.” Silver explained. “They thought that if they couldn’t get Jewel out of the way themselves, then they let you do it for them.” Crystal stated.

Everybody throught a about this. “It was the perfect plan.” Lightning said.

“We almost fell for it!” Pinkie cried. Mean Jewel hissed at the ponies and Crystal smacked it upside her head. “No Hissing!” The jury cleared Jewel of all charges and she was free to go. She dashed to her changelings friends. “Thanks guys, you saved me again.”

“No Problem.” Pyrite said.

Pharynx looked at Jewel’s friends. “Now I think your friends an apology.” Pharynx said, referring to Jewel. The ponies all smilied sheepishly.

Soon, all the ponies and changelings were in the throne room and the ponies deeply apologized to Jewel. “We’re sorry for almost sending you to prison, Jewel.” Rainbow said.

“Yeah, we should have look more closely instead of jumping to confusions.” Buddy added.

“We’re so super sorry.” Pinkie added. Jewel forgave them for their mistake and their majesties spoke to the five changelings. “This is your victory too.” Celestia started.

“You all persisted in the face of doubt and your actions led to preventing us from making a huge mistake. Learning to trust your instincts is a valuable lesson to learn.” Grand Ruler added.

The changelings all smiled and Jewel smiled at her students. The changelings then group hugged with Jewel in the middle. Jewel giggled while the others just smiled at the six friends.

In our next episode; Jewel babaysits the royal twins when a dinosaur apoears and Sombra and Chrysalis are after it. It’s up to Jewel to keep it safe from their grasp, but that become difficult when the royal twins get involved.
