My Brave Pony: Starfleet Magic: The New Member (Rewrite)

It was nightime in United Equestria and all of the ponies were sleeping. Princess Luna watch over the night. The ponies were at the palace all excited and they had a good reason to be.

Tommorow would be Hearth's Warming Eve!

“I can’t wait for Hearth’s Warming Eve!” Pinkie cried.

“Me either.” Applejack added. As they were talking bout what they were going to do for the holidays, they saw Jewel walking towards them, but she had a really sad look on her face.

“Hi Jewel, ready to celebrate your first Hearth’s Warming Eve in New Ponyville?” Lightning asked.

“I was thinking I might just skip it.” Jewel replied in a sad voice. Her friends gasped in shock. “Skip Hearth’s Warming Eve!” Spike cried. Jewel nodded.

“But why in United Equestria would you want to avoid such a gorgeous holiday?” Rarity asked.

“I-I really don’t want to talk about it.” Jewel replied. “I’m going home. Night guys.” Jewel teleported to her home and just walked upstairs to her bedroom, crawled into bed and fell asleep.

“Now, why in the United Equestria would Jewel purposely miss out on Hearth’s Warming Eve?” Buddy asked.

“Let’s think about this.” Lightning said. “What is Hearth’s Warming Eve all about that Jewel doesn’t have?” Pinkie said.

All the ponies thought. Hearth’s Warming Eve is about coming together and celebrating with friends and family.

”Family. That’s it!” Starla thought.

“I know why Jewel wants to miss Hearth’s Warming Eve!” Starla cried.

“Really? Why?” Rainbow asked.

“The holiday is about spending time with family which Jewel doesn’t have anymore. Remember she said that she left her pack and haven’t seen them since.” Starla explained.

Everybody thought about that. “I think you’re right Starla.” Lightning said.

“But what can we do to cheer her up?” Rainbow asked.

Pinkie began leaping up and down crying. “Oh I know! I know! Pick me, me, me...!!!”

“Umm... yes Pinkie?” Buddy asked.

“A Party!” she cried. “We can all make a Hearth’s Warming Eve Party for Jewel.”

Everybody took a liking to that idea but they had to get permission from their majesties first. “I think it’s a marvelous idea.” Grand Ruler said.

“I agree.” Celestia said. Their majesties allowed the ponies to use the throne room for the party. Pinkie got all the party supplies and the ponies set up the whole throne room for tomorrow.

The next morning, snow covered the ground and ponies were decorating their houses with reefs and christmas lights.

Everybody began singing about the holidays.

Everybody was happy about the holidays.... except for Jewel.

In the Golden Oak Library, Jewel was still laying down with a sad look on her face. Her pokémon were looking at her in concern.

“Mareep, reep.”

“Arf arf.”

Jewel turned towards them and smiled sadly at them. “I’m okay, you guys. I’m just not in the holiday mood.” Jewel replied.

The front door opened and Starla walked into her bedroom. “Hey Jewel.” she greeted.

“Hi Starla.” Jewel replied in a said voice.

”Poor Jewel she’s really out of it.” Starla thought.

“So Jewel you wanna come to New Canterlot Palace with me?” she asked. Jewel turned over and replied in a motionless voice. “No thanks.”

“Come on, you’ll like, I promise.”

Jewel knew that Starla wasn’t going to take ‘no’ for an answer so she reluctantly agreed. Starla smiled and she led Jewel out of the library and Starla teleported them to New Canterlot Palace.

They went to the main throne room and entered. Jewel immediately took notice to how dark the room was. “Starla, Why is the room so dark?”

Jewel didn’t hear Starla’s response. “Starla.... Hello?”

Suddenly the lights came on and all her friends came out and yelled. “SURPRISE HAPPY HEARTH’S WARMING EVE!”

Jewel saw the throne room decorated in lights and flowers and a mistletoe in the middle of the room as well as a Christmas tree littered with presents. “What’s all this?” Jewel asked.

“It’s your Christmas party silly.” Pinkie said. “We made this for you.”

“You did all this for me?” Jewel asked.

Applejack came up to her. “Of course sugarcube, Hearth’ Warming is about family and you’re our family too.”

“R-Really?” Applejack nodded. Jewel couldn’t help but smile with tears of joy. “Now, Let’s Party!” Pinkie cried.

Everybody agreed to that and the party began. The ponies all danced and sang to all their favorite songs. Lightning and Starla kissed each other under the mistletoe, same with their majesties.

Then it was present time. “Here Jewel Crystal, this is from me and Celestia.” Grand Ruler said, handing Jewel a large box with blue wrapping paper. “Oooooooh.”

Jewel took the present from him. She tore into the wrapping paper and opened the present. Inside were two three pokémon eggs.

One was blue with snowflake on it. The second egg was blue with black stripes on it and the last one was white with a single red stripe.

“Yeah! Pokémon eggs!” Jewel cried. The ponies chuckled at her bubbly behavior. She gently took the three eggs out of the box and placed them on the floor.

“So when do you think they’ll hatch?” she asked.

“About a week.” Grand Ruler replied.

Jewel looked at three eggs with anticipation. Then her friends gave her their gifts; Lightning and Starla gave Jewel a book on Animal Magic related sleeks so she could practice using her animal powers and magic. Rarity gave Jewel a purple fedora with a stripe of gems in the center. Pinkie gave Jewel a cookbook. Fluttershy gave Jewel a book on Pokémon and Lightning’s friends gave Jewel a scabbard, to help carry and hold her staff when she wasn’t using it.

“Thanks you guys.” she said. All her friends smiled at her. “And I have a present for you guys.” Jewel said.

The ponies were surprised and eager to see what Jewel’s present was. Her Animal Staff appeared and it spun around glowing in a bright light and when it died down, the staff had turned into a guitar!

“New ability?” Celestia asked.

“Yep.”

The lights in the room went out expect for two that were pointing at Jewel. Then she began to play.

Her friends ran up to her and hugged her. “That was amazing, darling!” Rairty cried.

“Hoo-wee! I never knew you could like that!” Applejack added. Jewel blushed as the rest of her friends added their own compliments. “That was absolutely marvelous, Jewel Crystal.” Grand Ruler replied.

“Thank you.” Jewel said.

“And there’s one morning present we want to give to you Jewel Crystal.” Celestia said. Jewel looked at them confused as did the other ponies. “We know that you don’t have a perminate family. So me, Celesto and Lun would like to give you one.” Celestia proposed. The ponies gasped me in shock. “Really?” Jewel asked.

“Indeed.” Celesto added.

Jewel began shedding tears of joy and she dashed right up to the ITV majesties crying. “Ye-e-es!”

The ponies cheered happily and hugged their new family member. Now their majesties have a new daughter and Luna has a new niece. Cadence and Shining Armor now have a new cousin.

In the next episode; It Hearts and hooves Day in United Equestria and Jewel’s plans get sidetracked when two other stallions try to woo her. Mykan and Midnight won’t let that happen and it turns into a fight for jewels heart.
