The Infamous Life Of Blitz

Chapter 8

All that Blitz saw was white. Then black. Then white again. Then black. Blitz didn't know what was going on. "What happened to me?" he asked himself. "Why am I seeing black and white?!" Then he started to see something. It was blurry at first but got more visible the longer he stared. Finally it came into view. It was a ceiling. Blitz didn't understand. It was like he had his eyes open the entire time. He looked around. He seen posters that read "Get Flu Shot Today" and "Be Smart, Get A Check Up Today". Blitz looked around the room. It was full of medical equipment. It had a glove disposal trash can, a blood pressure instrument, and a whole bunch of other tools that doctors used. He sat up. He now realized he was on a hospital bed.

"What the hell?" Blitz said to himself. "Why am I here? What happened to me?" He flew off the bed and landed on the ground. "Do I have a broken bone?" he asked himself. He checked all around his body. Nothing was wrapped up. "Am I sick?" He took a deep inhale in and out. He breathed perfectly fine. He was now just pacing back and forth as he tried to figure out what the hell was going on. Just as soon as Blitz was about to get another random excuse for being in here, a stallion walked in. He was black and had a white jacket that symbolized that he was a doctor.

"Whoa. Whoa. Whoa there Blitz. You gotta sit down." he said as he took Blitz back up to the hospital bed. "Wait doctor. What is going on?" Blitz asked as he grabbed the doctor by his jacket. The doctor pushed the colt away and wiped the dust off his jacket. "Stay seated and be quiet." he said as he got out his clipboard. Blitz just gave the doctor a confused look as to why he ignored his question. The doctor then asked him a question. "What happened when you came in here?" he said as he held his clipboard and looked at Blitz.

"I don't know. I just woke up and I was in here. Why don't you tell me?" The doctor didn't answer. He just wrote on the clipboard and just shook his head. He spoke again, this time not looking at the colt. "Where do you live?" Blitz tsked. "I am currently living in Las Pegasus. Why?" The doctor just wrote on his clipboard yet again ignoring his question. The white stallion was now getting mad. He didn't like being ignored like this. Even when he doesn't know what was going on. "What is your name?" Blitz just gave the doctor a furious look. Out of all the questions he could of been asked he had to choose that one. Blitz felt a rage kicking in as he twitched his neck to the side. He wanted to beat the doctor down, for asking stupid questions and ignoring his questions. But he had to stay calm. So Blitz just put on a fake smile and answered in a crazy voice.

"Blitz. Whats your name?" The doctor nodded and answered. "Dr. Stepha." Blitz nodded as he yet again twitched. He had to hold in his anger, for when he gets angry he really cant control what he does. Just like in the locker room right after he got suspended. All Blitz did was just sigh. "Do you know who brought you in?" Blitz looked at the doctor confused. "Brought me in? Who brought me in? All I know is that I was playing a football game and then I was here. Why doc? Did something happened?" The doctor just wrote on his clipboard. "I'll leave your friend to explain that." he said as he exit the room. Blitz shook his head in confusion. "What happened to me?" he asked himself as he put his hooves to this eyes. It was silent. Then the door opened. Blitz looked at the doorway and seen a brown pony walk in.

"Ironsides? Whats going on? Why am I in here?" he asked as he just sat on the hospital bed. "Oh Thank Celestia! You Remember Me!" Ironsides said as he flew up to Blitz and gave him a hug. Blitz recoiled a bit and pushed Ironsides away. "Yeah. I remember you. Calm your wingboner. Why wouldn't I remember you?" Blitz said as he repositioned himself on the hospital bed. Ironsides looked at Blitz with confusion. "Blitz. Didn't the doctor tell you?" he said as he just tilted his head. Blitz was now starting to get nervous. "What do you mean?" he asked as he gave him a hesitant smile. Ironsides was appalled.

"Blitz. You got a concussion. A class A concussion. You were hit pretty hard at the football game. You kept asking questions like 'Where am I?' and 'When does halftime start?' and 'Where was your father.' You should of seen the crowd. We were all silent as we heard you screamed. I needed to come and see how you were doing because I got nervous and I didn't want to lose another friend. I thought you were going to die. But the good news is that you are alive and that's all I care about. I'm so glad your OK."

Blitz just sat on the bed in shock. He couldn't believe this. A concussion. Why a concussion? Why did he have to get his memory erased? Blitz just shook his head in disappointment. Ironsides came up and patted the white pegasus on the back. "How's my father?" Blitz asked as he was starring at the ground. Ironsides looked at him. "What?" he questioned. Blitz looked at the iron winged pegasus. "I said, how's my father? Is he OK?" Ironsides just starred at Blitz and he made a few facial expressions as he was trying to find words to say. Blitz just waited for an answer. The brown pegasus sighed.

"Blitz. Do you remember your past?" he asked as he looked Blitz in the eyes. Blitz recoiled at the question.

"What past?" he said as he was confused by his question.

"Do you remember anything about your childhood? Anything?" Blitz thought. He remembered him living with his aunt but she had her heart attack and his sister moved away due to her marriage. But that was all he remembered. Not even a single thought came to his mind as he tried to think back to the time he was born. He doesn't remember what his parents looked like. He doesn't remember his first word. He didn't even remember his first friend. Blitz looked at the ground once again, and he answered in a sad tone.

"No." Ironsides put his arm around him and comforted the pegasus. "I'm really sorry Blitz." he said as he looked at the doorway. Blitz shook his head. "Its not your fault I got a concussion." Ironsides looked at the down pegasus. "I know, but I really wish I could help." Blitz just sighed and just sat on the bed as he was just a wreck. First his marefriend broke up with him, then he was suspended from football, then as soon as he comes back to football he get a concussion and doesn't remember some times in his past. Blitz got up and trotted to the wall across form him. As he got to the wall he put a hoof on it and looked down. He closed his eyes. He felt tears come to his eyes and were pleading to come out. Blitz just stood there and was just breathing air. He heard Ironsides walk up besides him. Blitz felt a hoof touch his back.

"Blitz. Be glad your still alive. You are very luck too survive. The doctors told me you could of died from the impact of the hit. I may be no psychic. But I know someone doesn't want you to die. Somepony knows you deserve to live your life on this world. And they wouldn't let some hit take your life away. You are one of the toughest ponies I have ever met. Think about that." Blitz did think about it. If he lost all his memory then he would be rather off dead. He did sustain a large amount of memory loss, but he was alive. Even if it meant losing his memory of his childhood, he was glad to be alive. Blitz did love to be alive and would rather be alive than dead. He still had so much to live for. Even if he did have a rough life, he wasn't the only one. Their are many ponies in Equestria and throughout the Known World that have had a harder life than him. He was just another flower in a field. Blitz looked at Iron and smiled.

"Thank you Ironsides." he said as he had a crack in his voice. Blitz knew that Ironsides was more than a friend. He was more like a brother to Blitz. Even though he just met the iron pony, they became friends faster than a blink of an eye. The doctor came back in. "Blitz. We got the word. You can go now. Be sure to stay up and you'll be fine." Blitz nodded. "Thank you doctor." Ironsides trotted toward the door. Blitz followed close behind. "Hey Iron?" he asked. The brown pegasus looked at Blitz. "Do you wanna chat on the way to my house?" The iron horse smiled and put a hoof around the pegasus. "Never thought you'd ask." The two trotted out of the building and they both started to walk to Blitz's house.
