Prince Spike Drake Solaris is finally in his age of marriage. His mother, Princess Celestia wants him to find a bride for himself. She is willing to call the noble's daughter from all over the country for him to choose but he refuses because Spike doesn't want his marriage based on thrones, powers, wealth and titles. He wants a bride that accept him for who he is, both inside and out.

He plans to travel all over Equestria, disguise himself as common dragon which he will spend a month of each main city including Ponyville and works as helper to see how normal ponies work for a living. With his kindness and loyalty, he accidentally attracts a number of mares that fall in love with him without knowing his true identity

After he visits all the cities in Equestria, he returns to Canterlot to find that his mother already set a few blind dates on Canterlot mares that follow his demand.

In his next birthday celebration, Princess Celestia announces to the Equestrians that Prince Spike will be the only heir of the throne and must choose a mare to become his wife and princess.
