When Rim woke up injured and afraid, he looked around to get his bearings. He saw that it was the middle of the day. While he was inspecting his surroundings, his eyes landed upon the big black lump next to him. On closer inspection he saw black scales all over the lump. This confused him because he couldn't remember the last time he saw anything with big black scales. And then he realized that this was a dragon. Since he was actually raised by dragons, it eased his fear.

Rim felt a sharp pain in his right front foreleg. Looking down he saw that there was a lot of green blood pooling around his leg. He struggled to stand up but he became disoriented from the exertion. He also felt a lot of pain around his chest. This was from his fall and the hard landing. He thought to himself that by all rights, he should be dead from the landing.

At the same time, the dragon started to move. As it started to get up, it looked around the area and saw Rim and wondered what type of this creature was. The night fury began moving slowly and quietly toward Rim. She wanted to know what the creature looked like under his or her cloak's hood. Standing over it , she let out a nervous breath which accidentally alerted Rim to her Presence. At the same time, the hood was moved enough to reveal a horn. Rim finally looked up from his wounds to notice that the dragon was standing over him. As he looked up, the rest of his face was revealed.

The dragon had no idea what type of creature this was. She was a little afraid because she didn't know what it was capable of. Could it overpower her or hurt her in some way? She wondered if it could speak, crawl, stand, walk, swim or fly. She sees that it has a broken foreleg and so probably can't walk ,stand or swim. She also sees that one wing is missing and the other is bruised. This means it can't fly either. Her fears evaporate and she feels only pity because it was hurt.

Rim mistook her facial expression of pity for smug satisfaction of his weakened state. He started focusing into his horn to lift the dragon into the air. Slowly the dragon began to rise up into the air surrounded by a green glow. The dragon's facial expression changed to one of surprise. Rim started to smirk, happy to wipe that smug look off her face. As usual, Rim was imagining that her smugness was real. This was due to his weakened state messing with him.

She was truly surprised that this entity had so much power. She wondered where it was coming from. Her eyes landed upon the horn because it was glowing the same color as the aura around her. She tried to move her body to escape the aura's hold on her. As she struggled, she felt he aura around her starting to weaken. She moved more and more until it broke. She fell to the ground and quickly stood up.

Rim felt an agonizing pain as the telekinesis broke. His nose was bleeding from the exertion of the use of this magic. It also jolted his memory and It reminded him that he had a first aid kit in his saddle bags. He used his good leg to dig the kit out of the bag. He knows that he is too weak to bandage his wounds but he is too stubborn to allow someone else to help him. So he decides to try it himself anyway. He is only able to do half the job. He feels the dragon's Dragon eyes on him but he ignores her.

After struggling for a while, he finally decides to swallow his pride and ask for help. He says in a tired and annoyed voice "can you please help me with the bandages?" The dragon replies "why should I help you? You just attacked me." Rim says "I'm sorry I attacked you, so can you please help me?" After a few seconds the dragon finally replies, "fine!" She helps him remove his cloak and a lille while later Rim was all bandaged up. She finished dressing his wounds, bandaging the cracks and helping him to be more comfortable and Rim muttered his thanks.

The two of them began to converse. At first they just talked about menial things but later they discussed more important questions. Rim started to say "where am I exactly ?" The dragon answered with "the archipelago ". Rim asked another question, "who are you?" She replied, "I don't remember my name" . Rim noticed that she appeared to not have any teeth. This seemed weird for a dragon. Then suddenly an idea popped into his head. Rim asked "why don't you call yourself toothless?" The newly dubbed toothless, replied "toothless? But why would you ask that?" Rim replied "because it's better than not having name at all." "But I'm not toothless. I have teeth". She decides to put the conversation in the back of her mind for later.

She begins to ask Rim what he is. She asks him and he replies "I'm a changeling." Toothless was perplexed at this information. What was a changeling? Then she decides to ask a different question . "What do changelings do and what is your name?" Rim says "my name is Rim and changelings do a lot of different things. They eat a special type of food and they have many types of powers." Rim asks her what type of dragon she is and she replies," I am a night fury." After Toothless says that, Rim thinks, what type of dragon is that? After a Few minutes Rim felt extremely tired from the long day. He decided to turn in for the night Rim said goodnight to toothless And she said goodnight back.

Author's Note

In this story toothless and hiccup are ages 3 a part of one another toothless is not the same age as each other so that why toothless is 3 years old then hiccup.
