Chapter 1: Rude Awakening.
March 4, 1002
"Hello!?" I can't believe this. "Where the hell am I?" I awoke thinking that I had possibly overslept but as soon as my eyes adjusted to there surrounding's I knew immediately that something was wrong. "Why am I in a jail!?" I yelled at no one but myself through the iron bars of this cell I found myself in.
"Hello? Can anyone hear me!?" I yelled hoping that someone would come and help me out of this strange situation I was in.
7:40 A.M.
Princess's Celestia, Luna, and Cadance all landed on the outskirt's of the Everfree Forest just as Twilight and co arrived. Twilight and the others bowed and the trio from Canterlot did the same.
"Twilight, girl's." Celestia showered them all with a motherly smile. They all beamed in appreciation but Twilight soon adopted a serious face as a loud roar emanated from the Everfree, reminding them all why they were here.
"Sorry to cut into the pleasantry's Princess but we have a big problem." Twilight pointed a hoof at the rapidly darkening sky overhead as the wind picked up. Celestia, as well as Luna and Cadance all, nodded.
"Yes, dear subject's," Luna spoke as the group all huddled together as a frigid chill swept through the air in the storm's wake.
"We have not seen anything of this ilk in quite some time," Luna said casting a shield around them all. Cadance lit her horn and soon a small fire of green and blue encircled the group, warming them all. "That's mighty handy." Applejack stated as the group made its way into the dark forest. Cadance snorted. "Just one of the many benefits of being the Princess of love." She winked at AJ causing her to smirk and roll her eye's.
"Uh huh, And I'm sure it has nothing to do with ya'll being a changeling whatsoever." She smiled as Cadance laughed. "Well, that could have some small part to play." She winked. The jubilation they all felt at that moment helped them cope with what they might find in the epicenter of this storm. As Twilight thought about it she went over her note's she had gathered at the hospital.
7:35 A.M.
"So you never got a good look at this creature?" She asked Swift as he took a sip of his small tonic. He shook his head.
"No, but I heard his voice." He said pointing to his skull. "In my head." He shivered. "It was like he could see all that I was and pick it apart like it was nothing." He frowned and sniffed as a wave of sadness overwhelmed him.
"I-I-I'm not even sure how I got away." He stared at the wall across from him for a second before regaining some of his composure.
"The only thing I can tell you, princess, Is that you're going to need all the help you can get." He then began to cough. Wehn his fit had died down.
"Whatever is out there will tear you apart bit by bit and try to take you over." He suddenly lunged out the bed at Twilight. She was so caught off guard that she couldn't put up a shield in time and found herself face to face with Swift who had grabbed her whither's.
"Whatever you do, whatever see. Don't! Let! IT! IN!" He stressed each word with a shake. As Twilight used her magic to pry him off the Nurse entered the room.
"I thought I heard something?" She asked she went over to check on Swift. Twilight waved a hoof. "Nothing to worry about." She said as she tucked her notes away.
"I've got some of what I need so I'll be going." As she began to head to the door she stopped. "Let me know if he get's any worse or better." She said and with a nod from the nurse she trotted out the hospital now more worried than ever.
8:00 A.M.
The group all sighed with relief as Luna's shield and Cadance's fire dissipated once they reached the eye of the storm. Applejack gave a hoot of relief.
"That was starten to get a might bit toasty in there." She quipped and shook off the excess heat as the other's all nodded their agreement.
"At least it wasn't too unpleasant." Rarity stated as she looked around. "Um, Girl's correct me If I'm wrong but when has the castle ever looked so-" She waved a hoof to find the right word- "Pristine." She finished as they all stared at it. "Rare's what do you mean?" Rainbow asked as she to gave it a once-over.
"Oh, my," Fluttershy said as she saw what Rarity meant. "Hey yeah!" Pinkie chimed in as the royal sisters too stared at there old castle now looking as brand new as the day the last stone was fitted into place.
"This is definitely a curiosity we will have to look into," Luna said as she began to trot up to the entrance. Celestia's horn flared as she sent a wave of magic outward over the group and then extended it towards the castle.
"There." She said as her horn went dormant. "That should keep us all protected from whatever fiends skulk in the corridors." She said as she went to go and join her sister. Cadance and Luna both lit up there horn's sending there magic cascading throughout the castle grounds and ponies present. Cadance, however, gave a cry of shock as her magic washed over a creature hidden in the depts of the old castle.
"There's a pony in there!" she said as she doubled her efforts to catch up with the others. They all stopped and looked at the castle.
"Are you sure?" Fluttershy asked as she began to tremble. "Oh, the poor dear. I hope they're all right." She stammered as she huddled with the group.
"Stay close all. We do not yet know what awaits us within these halls." Luna said as the group ascended the stairs to the front entrance, the sister's horn's alight just in case.
Same Time in the castle depths.
"Ok think. Think. Think." Joseph told himself as he began to pace around. "What's the last thing you remember?" He racked his brain searching for an explanation. "Let's see. I was dreaming." He focused forcing the dream to come back to his waking mind.
Falling, Wind, Floating, Darkness. Joseph's eye's snapped open as he looked around his dreamscape.
"Wow," He looked around at complete blackness. "This is trippy." He said as he floated around the void of his inner mind. As he drifted through the vast emptiness he lost all sense of time and space around him.
"Hello?" A voice jarred Joseph from his own dulling senses.
"Who's there?" He replied. The voice spoke sounding less faint this time.
"I'm over here!" It sounded young like a child and now much closer. Joseph and the voice set about finding each other in the black space. As Joseph drifted ever loser the two would play a game of Marco Polo.
"Who's that?" The voice asked prompting Joseph to chuckle.
"He's a famous explorer." He swam through the void getting ever closer to the voice.
"Hold on. I'm almost there." He said as the voice squeaked out once more. The two were close now.
"Can I meet him one day?" It asked. Joseph chuckled.
"Sorry Kid but he's long gone now." He stated as he began to see a faint light emanating from in front of him. "I think I'm here." He said as the voice spoke up. Sure enough, the small ball of light was the source of the voice.
"Is that you?" It asked. Joseph just sighed. "Yup kid. It's me." He floated there wondering just what the point of this dream was. "Why am I here with some random little kid?" Slowly he brought a hand up to grab the ball of light. As soon as his hand touched the ball his world was covered in darkness once more.
"Then I woke up here." He sat down as his mind began to process his new predicament. He put a hand on the bridge of his nose and then felt around.
"Shit my glasses." He said as he looked around for them. He found them on the ground dusted them off and put them back on.
"Good. If I'd lost these I'd be in even more trouble than I am." He looked around once more trying to find some way of escaping his cell. With his glasses and a calmer mindset, he set about trying to see if there was anything he had missed in his initial examination of the room.
"Of course." He sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "It's always the most obvious solution." With a sound mind and calmer mood Joseph had noticed that the bar's on his cell were old and rusted. Looking at his bed once more he saw it had an old but durable looking pair of sheets on it. Looking closer he saw the bed was not in the best of shape and found a long metal piece of it was falling off.
"Ok let's see if the boob tube was correct." He grabbed the sheets off plus the metal piece and went over to his cell bars. Grabbing them and giving them a good shake and an experimental pull he soon found two of the steel bars were weak.
"Perfect." He said as he slipped the cloth around them, tied a knot and then slipped the metal piece through his loop. Slowly he began to turn the metal bar and as the torque began to increase the bars began to bend under the constant pressure exerted by the surprisingly sturdy cloth.
"Yes!" He soon had a hole big enough for him to squeeze through and soon he found himself out of his cell. But now he had an even bigger problem.
"Shit." He cursed as he looked around. "No idea where I am or even where to go." He fished around in his pocket's and grumbled as he remembered, "Right. Pajama's." He sighed as he wrapped the sheet's around himself as his adrenaline began to taper off and the cold began to settle in.
"Please let there be a torch here somewhere." He said as he began to slowly walk along the wall to his left.

Chapter 2: First Impressions.
8:15 A.M.
"Hate not having a light source." On the bright side there was indeed a torch on the, castle? wall but without a means of lighting it all it did now was serve as a walking stick. By some stroke of luck, I managed to feel a very faint tremor in the ground around me. "What was that?" I thought to myself as I stood still. "There it is again." I felt it once more and didn't know how to feel about it.
"It could be other people?" My positive side said. Then negativity took a seat. "Yeah, the very people who put me in here, to begin with." I shook away the quarreling thoughts and made up my mind.
"When I find out who locked me in a dungeon my foot is going up their ass."
Castle Mainhall.
"It's moving," Cadance said as she tracked the pony from earlier. The other's all stopped as Cadance tried to zero in on the strange life source. "I don't think this is a pony." She mumbled to herself. She got a clear indication of where it was and held her breath. "This doesn't feel right." Suddenly a scream ripped through the castle sending all of the ponies hair on end.
"What was that?' Fluttershy asked huddling next to Rainbow and Applejack who were both on high alert for anything moving. Cadance was flustered now.
"This doesn't make any sense." She scanned her surrounding's again to and recoiled as she felt another life form, this one was definitely a pony but it was
"There are two of them." She said as her magic faded. The group all looked apprehensive. "One is in the tower." She pointed forwards. "The other is in the dungeons." She then pointed to a set of double door's that had once been chained and guarded but now they were little more than rusted old remnants from a bygone era.
"Wait? What?" She did a double take. "What magic is this?" She said as the other's thought of what to do.
"Do we split up?" Pinkie asked looking from pony to pony. They all thought about it. Then Twilight spoke up.
"We have to be careful." She said looking around. "If Cadance is tracking another pony and there in the dungeons no less then they can't be safe. Of course, that's assuming there even their of there own free will." She weighed the pros and the cons.
"We can split up but." She stated stressing her words. "Only If Luna and I lead one group to the tower while Cadance and Celestia lead the other to the dungeons." She looked around.
"Tis a solid plan young Twilight," Luna exclaimed as she went and stood next to Twilight. "Now what of the other's?" She asked giving the rest of the group a conundrum. Until Pinkie began to wave around her hoof in the air like a school filly.
"Ohh pick me! Pick me!" she shouted hopping up and down as she went. Rainbow just rolled her eye's.
"I'm going over here." She said as she let go fo Fluttershy with a soft smile and headed over to Cadance and Celestia, who were the furthest away from Pinkie at the moment. Fluttershy thought about it.
"Rainbow do you know any healing spell's?" Dash nodded.
"Sure do. With all the time's I've crashed It saves a trip to the doctor." She stated as she rubbed the back of her head sheepishly. Fluttershy nodded.
"Good. Then I'll go with Luna and Twilight." She said as she trotted over to the two headed for the tower. Soon they were all divided with Pinky following after Twilight and Luna, while Applejack and Rarity went with Cadence and Celestia.
"Ok, so we all know the drill?" Twilight asked to which they all nodded. "Meet back here when we find our target's." She said making Pinkie giggle.
"You sound like your brother Twi." She snickered as a hoof shot into her mouth to stop her laughter. Twilight just smirked.
"Well, when you spend half your life with a member of the royal guard for a brother some thing's rub off on you."She stated as the two group's got themselves squared away.
"Everypony ready?" Twilight asked. Both groups gave her a solid nod.
"Ok then let's go find the cause of all this." She pointed to the castle which even now began to distort just a little bit form the high concentration of magic coming from its depths.
8:30 A.M.
"Ok need to take a rest." I was starting to tire out. "Probably going around in circles." It wouldn't surprise me. No light to speak of and lost in some underground dungeon. "Man good old D&D made this seem like so much fun." I hate talking to myself but when I'm all alone it tends to help pass the time and stave off boredom. Mostly the latter.
"Hello?" Oh, sweet Jesus!
"I'm over here!" I was saved! I got to my feet and looked around. Just up ahead there was a soft blue light making its way down the corridor towards me.
"Oh thank god." I sighed in relief as I walked to the light. Then I stopped about halfway to it. "Hello?" I asked again.
"Hello? Are you ok?" I couldn't believe my ear's. "No way. There's no way for them to be here!" My mind raced as they got closer to me. In my blind scramble for answers my body froze. Finally, the light crossed the last of the distance between us and I starred at someone who should not exist.
"Hello?" She asked giving me a look of utter confusion. I said the first thing that came to mind. "I take it you weren't expecting me?" I felt so out of it right now.
"Um if you don't mind me asking just what are you?" Cadance asked me. I was about to answer when a thought entered my brain "This has to be a dream." My brain latched onto the idea no matter how desperate it seemed and ran with it.
"Of course!" My sudden shout startled all the ponies causing one of them to fly between me and the princess. "NO WAY!" I was staring at the one pony I admired the most. She did not look happy.
"Wow there buddy what's got you so excited?" Rainbow asked a look of concern on her face.
"This is all a dream." My statement had the opposite effect of what I was hoping. They all stopped and gave me a look of, had I actually stopped to think about it there look was perfectly valid, confusion.
"Um say what now?" I then noticed that Dash and Cadance were not alone. Two more ponies came into view.
"Applejack? Rarity?" I asked feeling very overwhelmed. "What is going on here?" I thought about it. "This is isn't like any dream I've had before."
"That's because this ain't no dream partner." Applejack stated. Even if she was the element of honesty I wasn't ready to believe her.
"Prove it." My challenge hung in the air for a second. Then Rarity stepped up.
"Forgive me darling but we simply don't have time for this." She said. "What?" I asked as Rarity got in front of me and gave me a soft smile. Then she stood on her hind legs and rared back a forehoof and let it swing for my face. Now me still thinking this was a dream was all well and good for all of five seconds as the pain registered and I was sent to the ground in a blur of pain and shock.
"Rarity!" Came a shout from the group. I could really care less at the time. My face felt as if it was hit by a semi-truck and the fact that it hurt shocked me to the core.
"This can't be real!?" I shouted causing the group to stop. Cadance took charge and I felt a soft warm embrace lift me to my feet.
"I believe these are yours," she said levitating my glasses over to me. They must have fallen off when Rarity, "Hit me." I frowned as I took my glasses and put them back on my face mindful of my new bruise. Rarity came over looking sad.
"I truly am sorry dear but we must be on our way." She said looking all around as if the place was alive, which for all I knew it was. This was Equestria after all if the proof in front of me is anything to go by. As everything came into focus for me my brain decided now was a good time to call it quit's.
"I don't feel so good." Was the only warning the ponies got from me as I slid from this world into the blissful void of unconsciousness.

Chapter 3: The Hospital Was...Exciting.
March 6, 1002.
Joseph awoke with a cry of alarm. Looking around he saw that was in a hospital and sighed.
"Thank god that horrible dream is over." He looked around again and his brain stalled. Sleeping all huddled together on the other side of the room was a group of ponies he was very familiar with.
"Oh shit." Was all he could think to say at the cute mountain of pony in his room. One of them stirred which caused Joseph to tense up. "Shit. It's pinkie pie." He held his breath as she snuggled deeper into the pony pile and lay there. Joseph let out his breath and looked over his body.
"Great they stole my clothe's." He noted as he was wearing a hospital gown. Another look told him that his clothes were hung up in a cabinet. "Just have to get out of this bed, grab my clothes, then find out just what the hell is going on here." His plan in mind he went about setting it into motion. He got one foot out of the bed before the door opening stopped him in his tracks.
"Hello everypony." The voice sang out as it entered the room and stopped when she laid eyes on Joseph attempting to escape. Celestia just smiled gave out a chuckled and closed the door behind her as she set down a box full of food at a table in the middle of the room.
"So I see you are awake little one." She said as the small group began to stir.
"Princess." Joseph squeaked as he slowly pulled his leg back into the bed. She gave him a soft smile. "Muffin?" she offered him one levitating in her magic. He stared at it then back to her before grasping it and inspecting it.
"I can assure you it is quite fine for you to eat." One of the ponies yawned and began to dislodge themselves from the pile.
"Princess!" Came the voice of Twilight Sparkle herself. Careful to not step on any of her friends she trotted over to her mentor and the two shared a hug.
"Twilight. How is everypony?" She asked looking over at the group still waking up. Twilight looked and laughed.
"Well, the past two day's have been exhausting for all of us." She stated taking a muffin from the box and popping it into her mouth.
"Mmn that hit the spot." She then looked over to Joseph who stopped his munching and stared back at her.
"Um hello." He said feeling his face heat up. Twilight just giggled and held up a hoof. "You and I need to talk." She stated causing Joseph to stiffen.
"What about?" He asked feeling so out of the loop. She just chuckled. "Everything!" Joseph just groaned an gave Celestia what he hoped was a look of pleading. Celestia must have got the message because she cleared her throat getting the young alicorns attention.
"Twilight as much as I would love to know all about our new," She waved a hoof. "Friend here." She gave Joseph a soft smile.
"We really should let him get his bearing's first." She stated as Twilight thought about it. She sighed and put away her quill and notepad. "Where the hell did those come from?" Twilight's horn lit up and the two items winked out of existence.
"Ok." She then rounded on Joseph. "But you only get a few day's." She said lifting a hoof to her eye's then pointing to him.
"Got it." He said feeling very insecure now. The door to his room opened once more and in came the rest of the royal family.
"Ah, so the great beast awakens!" Luna said causing Joseph to smirk in nervous excitement.
"What?" He asked feeling very out of place. Cadance rolled her eye's. "Auntie how many time's must I tell you he's not a beast." She said giving him a soft smile, to which he to smiled. Luna just scoffed.
"Nonsense dear niece. Humans have alway's been ferocious." She said standing tall and imposing. Then in a flash of blue light, Luna was clad head to hoof in armor and now held a halberd in her magical grasp.
"Now dear naive tell us what you are here for!" She demanded pointing the weapon at Joseph who backpedaled in his bead almost tipping it over.
"Wow! Princess Luna please!" He begged trying to become one with his pillow. "I don't know what you mean!" He stated eye's wide with fear. "How had this all come to this?" He wandered while Celestia continued to eat her muffin. Cadance edged over to her.
"Are you going to stop this?" she asked feeling very concerned for there guest. Celestia just gave a sly smile.
"Nope." She let the grilling continue.
"So tell me, dear human, how is it you know of us?" By this time all of the noise had awoken the other ponies present and they were all looking at the interrogation with mixed feeling's. Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Twilight wanted answer's, Rarity and Fluttershy were looking nervous and Pinkie was excited.
"Ok! OK! I'll talk! Just please put the halberd down." He bagged Luna who thought about his request.
"Very well." It disappeared in a flash. "But if we are not satisfied with your answer's your tongue shall adorn our wall!" She smiled viciously as Joseph paled at the very thought.
"Noted." He said looking around at the gathered group. They were all curious about there alien visitor and now they were going to get some answers. Until Celestia stepped in.
"Dear sister I must verly rain on thine parade." She said stretching out and touching the ceiling with the primaries of her wings. Luna groaned.
"Why sister?" Celestia giggled. "Because dear Luna. Twilight here wanted to ask him question's until she was blue in the face and I gave her the same answer I tell you." She pointed to Joseph. "The poor dear has been through much in the past few day's and he needs his rest." She laid a hoof on Luna's back. "Just give him a few day's to rest, recover and recuperate from his ordeal. Then we can all begin our questioning." She gave Joseph a slight wink. "For now let us all just sit back and be thankful we got to the two of them in time."
"Wait? Two?" Joseph asked feeling very confused. Cadance lit up.
"That's right!" She said running out of the room. Joseph was confused. "What happened while I was out?" The group minus Celestia, all looked at him with contempt. Getting the message he snorted. "Ok fine. You all get one question." He sighed as they all got excited looks on there face. Celestia smirked as her sister to got excited and trotted over to the bed to learn about their newest resident.
10:25 A.M.
"So let me get this straight." Twilight scribbled down notes as she went. "You're saying that your dimension has a way of tunneling through other's and viewing what's on the other side?" She felt so ecstatic. "The possibility's are fascinating." She continued to jot down notes as the other all had their questions asked and answered.
"What's your name?"
"What kind of food do you eat?"
"Are you an omnivore or a carnivore?"
"What's the fastest thing on your planet?"
"Do you have magic were you come from?"
With there curiosity piqued and there, questions answered the group dwindled as they each went to go and take care of there individual lives. A few stayed but eventually, the royal family had to go. Celestia had bid Joseph farewell as she, Luna, and Cadance all went to leave. Just as they got to the door Cadance was stopped as Joseph called out to her.
"Hey, Cadance?" He asked causing her to turn around.
"Yes?" She asked. He nodded to the door.
"So where'd you go earlier?" He asked wondering what had gotten her so riled up. Her eyes went wide.
"Oh, that's right." She said as her horn lit up. A soft flash radiated throughout the room and an instant later Cadance was holding a little foal in her magic.
"Ahh." Joseph looked on as the baby was brought closer to him.
"We found this little guy up in the tower." She stated as Joseph tentatively held out his hand's. "May I?" He asked. Cadance giggled and hoofed him over.
"Sure." She smiled as Joseph cradled the baby in his arm's. The foal didn't stir sleeping peacefully as Joseph got a look at his features. The foal was a stunning white with nary a blemish to be seen. His main, what little of it he had. was a contrasting black and when the little one opened his eye's Joseph was met with a pair of crimson orbs that looked absolutely stunning.
"Wow." He said handing the baby back to Cadance. She cradled the little one a little more before he went back to sleep. With a flare of her horn, the baby was sent back to the maternity ward. Joseph just smiled.
"Wow. So while I was stuck in the dungeons that little guy was living it up in the tower?" He chuckled but then frowned.
"Just what in the hell happened back there?" He wondered out loud. Cadance trotted over to him and put a hoof on his shoulder giving him a reassuring smile.
"Don't worry Joseph." She let go of his shoulder and trotted around to his bedside table. "We'll find out what dragged you two here." She levitated his glasses back to his face. He thanked her and then with a smile and a nod Cadance to left. Now it was just Joseph and Dash. As soon as Cadance left Dash flew over to Joseph's bed.
"Just so we're clear." She pointed a hoof at him. "I've got my eye on you." She scowled. "I still don't trust you so watch yourself." She stated while flying over to the door and exiting his room. He just sighed.
"Oh boy. This is going to be fun." His sarcasm did little to lift his mood.

Chapter 4: Invasion Of Personal Space.
March 9, 1002.
"Finally!" Joseph breathed in a lungful of fresh mourning air as he stood outside for the first time in days. Beside him, Rarity and Twilight came out of the hospital with smile's on there faces.
"Good new's Joseph you have a clean bill of health." Twilight smiled as Joseph gave a contemplative look.
"What's wrong dear?" Rarity asked as the group began to trot up the road. Joseph sighed.
"Where am I going to stay?" He felt very out of place asking that but he felt like getting it out of the way. Twilight gave a small snort.
"You're staying with me silly." Joseph did a double take.
"What?" Rarity was surprised.
"What's wrong with that dear?" She asked causing Joseph to stammer a little bit.
"What's wrong? I haven't been here a week and I get to stay at the princess's castle. Just like that." He snapped his finger's. Twilight just laughed.
"Well don't worry." She pointed to Rarity. "We discussed the pro's and con's and even the other princess's got a vote." Joseph paled a little bit.
"What do you mean a vote?" He didn't like where this was going.
Earlier in the week at the Castle Of Friendship.
"So Twi what are we here for?" Pinkie asked bouncing about in her chair. She giggled as a field of blue magic grasped her and forced her to sit still.
"Pinkie dear what have I told you about proper etiquette?" Rarity asked shooting Pinkie a soft glare. Pinkie just laughed.
"Oh, Rarity this is Twilight we're talking about. You know she likes to throw etiquette out the window." She giggled at Rarity's appalled face as the rest of their friends joined them in the throne room. When they were all present Twilight clapped her hooves in excitement.
"What's got Y'all all excited Twi?" Applejack asked as she took her seat.
"We are going to have to do something about Joseph." She started the topic off. Dash smirked.
"Finally." She said leaning back in her chair. Twilight scowled.
"Not like that Rainbow." Her stare elicited a scowl from Dash.
"But why not? Shouldn't we at least keep an eye on him?" She threw up her hooves in annoyance. Twilight blushed as she thought about what Rainbow had said.
"Ow." Dash frowned.
"Ow? Ow, what?" Then she thought about it. "No Twi. I didn't mean kill him." She shook her head in embarrassment while
"I mean I don't trust the guy as far as I can throw him but still." She sighed feeling like a jerk now. Twilight cleared her throat.
"Ok so now that we're all on the same page." She looked around the table and got nods of approval.
"So after some communications with myself and the other princess's we have come to the conclusion that it would be best for us and him if he stayed in Ponyville for now." She stated as she brought the map of Equestria up and a small circle appeared around the small town.
"So It's like a quarantine?" Fluttershy spoke up.
"More like a house arrest," Dash stated causing the other's to give her looks of concern. "What?" She asked as they all continued to stare at her.
"Oh, nothing dear." Rarity stated smirking all the way. "Just cute the way you distrust him one minute and the next you care." Dash just laughed.
"Come on Rare's. True I don't trust the guy but I don't hate him." Applejack scoffed.
"Could've fooled me the way Y'all' were with him the other day." She adopted a bad impression of Rainbow's raspy voice.
"I don't trust you so watch yourself." She stated to the whole counsel of friends. Once she was done she set herself down.
"I believe I made my point." Dash looked around feeling like shit with every scowl she saw on her friends.
"Ok so maybe I came off a little too strong." She chuckled while rubbing the back of her head. Twilight shook her head.
"Look Dash I get where you're coming from. Beleive me," she smirked. "But we have to set an example not just for ourselves but for the rest of Equestria as well." She used her magic on the table to scry out there new friend. Joseph was currently resting in his hospital bed. Twilight's horn lit up once more and the view zoomed in a little more.
"Now let's see what he has to think about." Her horn lit up once more and the room was suddenly flooded by the din of random noise until Twilight's horn lip up and the noise ceased.
"Sorry about that." She started firing off her spell once more. Instead of the din before the noise that came from the map was now a very recognizable voice, one they had gotten to know quite well over the past few day's.
"Man what a weird few day's." Joseph rolled over as he slept. "Can't wait till I get out of here." Twilight and the other's watched and listened as Joseph went through the events of the past few days in his brain.
"Got whisked off to Equestria, met the main six, the other Princess's and got told off by Rainbow." Dash cringed at that part as the other's gave her a knowing smirk.
"Next time make sure nopony is within earshot of the door sugar cube." Applejack winked. Dash just rolled her eye's.
"Still can't say it's all bad." Joseph continued his inner monologue. "Still have yet to see Spike of the C.M.C." He giggled as he thought about them.
"I bet there so adorable." This got a collective "ahh" from the girl's who giggled as he continued. He sighed and began to fidget in his sleep.
"Still, hope I didn't unintentionally piss of Dash." Dash just sighed as well.
"Of course not big guy." She stated as the other's continued to listen.
"My mouth is just to fast for my brain to keep up with sometime's." She went back to listening along with the others.
"I wonder If Pinkie is going to throw a party?" That caused Pinkie to gasp.
"Oh my gosh I totally forgot you guy's!" she said as she jumped out of her chair.
"BEBACKINALITTLEWHILESEEYOUGIRLSLATERBYE!" She shouted as she zipped out the castle. The group all chuckled and went back to listening until Applejack spoke up.
"You know Twi I'm all for getting some info on this guy but is this really the right way to go about it?" Twilight stopped to think about it and frowned.
"You have a point AJ." She said as she began to cast the counterspell.
"I wonder if Spike and Rarity are together?" At that Rarity's face went a deep shade of crimson as the other's all snickered.
"WHAT!?" She stated as she stood there trying not to lose her regal composer. "As far as males go Spike is a complete gentaldrake who know's how to treat a lady." She defended shoving her nose in the air.
"Don't worry about it Rarity." Dash nudged her in the ribs. "We can all keep a secret." She smirked as Rarity hid her scarlet face.
"Ok, now enough of this." Applejack snickered. "Let's give Joseph his privacy back Twi." As the spell faded from view Fluttershy spoke up.
"So where is he going to be staying?" Twilight just smirked.
"Welcome to your new home!" Twilight through up her hooves as she and Joseph entered the grand hall of her castle. Joseph stood there in awe of the architecture before him.
"The TV show does not do this place justice." He muttered to himself as Twilight lead him throughout the castle until she stopped at a door in the crystal wall.
"And this will be your room." She started opening the door and allowing Joseph to enter first.
"So what do you think?" She asked feeling very nervous. Joseph walked around looking at the simplicity of it all. There was a bed just big enough for him to sleep in on the far wall surrounded in both sides by a bedside table, a desk adorned the adjacent wall next to the door and off the side was a small cabinet for clothes. He gave her a big smile.
"This is perfect." He threw himself into the bed and sank into the plush mattress. He had a good feeling about this place, about all of Equestria.
"This is going to be a great place to stay." He sighed as he looked out the window.
"Still around noonish." He looked at Twilight who was still standing there.
"So Twilight is there any way I can talk you into giving me a tour of the town?" He asked as Twilight's eye's lit up.
"Of course! Let me get my saddlebags!" In a flash, she disappeared leaving Joseph to chuckle as he contemplated the complexities of teleportation.

Chapter 5: Establishing A Routine.
March 9, 1002.
"Ok, just a few more lap's to go." Joseph had just run his 9th lap around the ponyville derby track and was working on his 10th and final one.
"Come on you can do this. It's only been a week away from your normal routine." His mini pep talk spared him into action as he set off at the straight away. Two minutes later Joseph grabbed his duffle bag, slung it over his shoulder and exited the track. He looked up and was pleased to see the mourning sun rising up to meet his departure.
"Still can't believe my eye's." He shook his head as he continued to make his way through the sleeping town. Only one place was open this early and he made a beeline straight to its doors. As he entered he heard the mare at the counter humming a little tune to herself.
"Hello, Pinkie." He called out as he took a seat in a booth next to the door. Pinkie gave him a smile as he set his bag down and went to the counter to order his breakfast.
"So how was your mourning?" Pinkie asked as she fiddled with the cash register. Joseph threw her a smile.
"It was good." He thought about it.
"Got up, had a light snack, went to the track, ran for ten laps," He smirked.
"And now I'm here." He said grabbing the bit's from his pocket.
"I really have to find a way to repay Twilight for all of this." Pinkie took the bit's and wrote down his order.
"One blueberry muffin coming right up." She trotted into the kitchen as Joseph took his seat by the door. As he waited for his food to arrive Joseph pulled a book out of his duffle bag and began to read about pony culture and history. After reaching a chapter entitled, Ancient Equestrian Government, he set the book down and looked around for a clock.
"It's around 7:05." the voice from behind startled Joseph so bad that he jolted in his seat causing the book to clatter to the floor.
"That voice." Joseph turned around and spotted Rainbow giggling as she went over to the counter. Pinkie gave her a hug and the two began to chat as Rainbow gave the exuberant Pinkie her order. When she was through Rainbow turned around looked at Joseph and sighed to herself.
"Here goes nothing." With far more frustration billowing through than she would have liked she trotted over to Joseph's table and sat down. He gave her a smile.
"Dash." He gave her a nod of greeting. She plastered on a fake smile and gave a nod as well.
"Joseph." They both sat there letting an awkward silence fill the air. Finally, Dash had enough and shook her head.
"Look I know we met on," She waved a hoof around, "Strange." Joseph offered. She nodded.
"Yeah, strange turms." She rubbed the back of her head. "And later on when you were in the hospital I kind of went and mouthed off." Joseph cocked an eyebrow.
"Kind of?" He stated a neutral tone gracing Dash's ear's causing her own to splay back as she chuckled nervously.
"Ok, so I was less than stellar." She stated causing Joseph's neutral face to fracture and allow the smallest of smirks to prevail. Finally, Joseph just snickered.
"Apology accepted Dash." Rainbow sat there looking dumbstruck.
"What?" She asked aloud causing Joseph to laugh a little bit.
"You seem to forget that I know quite a lot about you guy's." He stated as Pinkie arrived and delivered both of there meals. Rainbow sat there for a little while but eventually, her brain got back on track.
"Hey, I never said I was sorry." She started taking a bite out of her honey oat muffin. Joseph just shook his head.
"Well, you seemed to be struggling there so I just decided to speed thing's along." He stated as if it was the most obvious thing ever. Dash just scoffed.
"You rely on that show of your's way too much." She said as she finished her muffin and sat back in her chair.
"Yeah well, it's all I've got to go on at the moment." He said smiling as he looked out the window.
"You know Dash a good way to describe how I feel right now is to go back to the time you found out Daring Do was real." He finished his muffin and sat back as well while Dash mulled his words over.
"Yeah, you have a point there." She stated as she smirked at Joseph. He smirked right back.
"So in your world, we're just some show for your entertainment?" She prefaced his explanation form the days before.
"Yup." He stated as he grabbed the book off the floor and shoved it back in his bag. Dash caught the title of the book and gave a soft smile.
"So Twilight's already has you reading up on us huh?" She asked as Joseph looked at his bag.
"Oh yeah." He grinned. "She call's it light reading." He air quoted causing Dash to laugh at his use of hands.
"Yeah, that's good old Twilight for you. She'd give you half of her library if she could find a way to fit it all in one bag." Joseph thought about it.
"You know there is a spell where I come from that she would find very interesting." He stated causing Dash to frown.
"Wait I thought you said human's don't have magic?" She asked. Joseph laughed.
"We don't. But that doesn't mean we can't come up with our own spell's on the fly." He winked at Dash. She rolled her eye's and smiled. Eventually, more ponies began to show up and the constant jingling of the bell was getting on Joseph's nerves.
"Well, Dash I think this is where we must part way's." Joseph stood up stretched and grabbed his bag. Dash got up to leave as well.
"That depends on if you have any plan's for the day furless." Joseph stopped and gave Dash an amused grin.
"Furless? Really? That's the best you've got?" He laughed as he opened the door for Dash whole trotted out and stretched out her wing's.
"Yeah, yeah laugh it up, big guy." She stated as Joseph walked out giving his leg's a small stretch as well.
"So what are you up to today?" Dash asked as Joseph stood there going over his mental checklist.
"Well I just got done with my morning run and I was just going to head on over Twilight's for a little while before I go job hunting." He stated as he began to walk off toward's Twilight's house with Dash following after.
"So you run as well?" Dash asked as Joseph nodded. Dash was stuck. She wanted to make up for her rude behavior earlier in the week.
"But how?" She pondered as they walked. "Ah ha! That's perfect!"
"Hum well then how's about we start running together?" Dash asked. Joseph thought about it.
"That's sound nice." He laughed. "Not to give you the wrong Idea but I really don't like jogging all by myself around here just yet." He looked around at all the bustling ponies going to and fro.
"Don't know if you've noticed but some ponies don't seem to fond of me." Dash looked around and while the looks Joseph were getting weren't outright hostile they were definitely less than friendly. She sighed.
"Yeah, you'd think with all the strange crap that happen's around they'd be used to it by now." She smiled.
"I guess the thought of a 5-foot tall space alien falling from the sky is just a little hard to swallow." She snorted as Joseph began to laugh like mad.
"Huh huh yeah." He held up one hand using it as a mic.
"So Sr what is the strangest thing you've seen today?" He cleared his throat.
"Oh, why there was a stampede of baby rabbit's just the other day but you know what just last night some furless ape-like creature showed up out of the blue." Joseph then went and reared his hand's up and began to shake them about.
"Grr! Give me all your women and children! I need to export them back to my home plant for scientific study!" He continued to flail around. Dash was in stitches over this over exaggeration and fighting the urge to clock him over the head.
"Ok Mr space invader let's get you back to Twilight's before you cause even more of a scene." She said tugging his shirt with her teeth. Joseph stopped his hammy news real and followed her. As the two were walking Joseph was preoccupied with his inner thoughts on all that he had read these last few days while out of the hospital.
"I really hope I don't have to have a course on there mating habit's." The thought made him shiver. He had already read up on their currency and general knowledge of the three races but he was reluctant to go much further without Twilight's assistance.
"That's going to be a very awkward discussion." As the two walked along Joseph's eye's began to wander and soon they found themselves staring at Dash's body watching how she and her muscles under the skin moved with such grace even while on the ground.
"Interesting." He spoke as he filed her body down for later. He'd have to ask Twilight about the different sizes of pony he had seen so far. Dash was a bit on the small side from what he had seen in ponyville.
Dash, however, could feel him staring and getting a fun idea decided to tilt her head back.
"See something you like?" She teased causing Joseph to realize just who and what part of her he was staring at.
"Oh um." He looked away his face now a blazing scarlet as they walked along Dash snickering as they went.
"Relax dude." She spun around and trotted backward's.
"You wouldn't be the first one to take a peak." She winked as Joseph just tried to keep his head from popping off.
"Oh this is going to be fun." Dash thought as they continued to head to the castle.

The next few days were spent getting to know all of Twilight's friend's a bit better. Now that he and Dash were running buddy's the two quickly found other thing's they had in common. the list was small but it was enough to get a spark of friendship going. That was exactly what Twilight was hoping for.
"At least he won't be so quick to frown now." She sighed as she puttered around her castle looking for her study.
"I really have to get Spike to or even Starlight to help me map out this place one of these days." Over the last week, Joseph had been here she had noticed that behind closed door's his mood would shift. He was alway's so happy out in public but when he was here and thought he was alone he would stay in his room and not come out until dinner was ready. It worried Twilight for a while before she realized that she had no idea what he was going through right now.
"How would I feel if I was ripped from my world and hurled into another one?" She pondered that for a little bit before she came across her study.
"Finally. Now to find my quill and parchment." She went around the room collecting all that she would need to start her letter to the Princesses.
"Dear Princesses,
It is with great joy that I report to you this week's evaluation of our newest resident here in Ponyville."
With her letter done and a flash of magic later sent, Twilight decided to go and check up on her bipedal friend. She looked around the floor his room was on and was surprised to see a note sticking to his door.
"Dear Twilight went out with the guys. Will be back later." It perplexed her.
"When did he meet any new stallions?" she pondered as she took the note and wrote on the back.
"Joseph, thanks for the note. I'll see you later but please be careful with stranger's." She sent that note directly to him and went on her way.
"Ok, now to find out how the little tike at the hospital is doing." With a quick teleportation, spell Twilight was at the hospital and heading towards the maternity ward. Once she got there she was stopped by Nurse Bright Heart.
"Hello, Twilight dear." The elderly mare smiled as Twilight trotted up and gave her a hug.
"Hello Bright Heart." Twilight looked around.
"It there a chance that the little guy is here right now?" She asked. Bright Heart went over to her desk and pulled out a clipboard.
"Let's see." she sifted through it.
"Ah ha here we go. The little tike is in ward 7, row 3." She rattled off the bed and Twilight thanked her and went about her business.
"Ok, now to see if my theories are correct." As she entered the ward she could feel the ambient energy in the room shift ever so slightly.
"Wow, that's interesting." She noted down the disturbance and continued to the little foal that had found. when she had arrived at his bed she found him sleeping.
"Oh! He's so cute." She said raising a hoof to his side and giving him a soft rub. He cooed rolled over and slept on.
"Let's see if he's still radiating unstable mana waves." Her horn lit up and she scanned the baby's body.
"Strange. He seems to be radiating fewer waves than normal and they are also extremely weak." She jotted this down as well.
"I have to tell the princesses about this. They'll know what to do." She tucked her book back into her bag and proceeded out the room. The baby turned over as she left yawning and proceeding to suck on its hoof.
"Come on now Y'all. We don't got no more time to dilly dally." Big Mac said as he, Joseph and few other stallions from around town helped him pull bushel's of apples into the barn. Today was a special day at Sweet Apple Acre's. They were throwing open the gates and letting the common ponvillian into the orchard to see if they had what it took to work the farm. So far only a few had stayed to clear out the rest of the day's haul. As Big Mac called for a break Joseph took a deep drink of his water and studied the other stallion's present.
"We've got Silver Tounge, Swift Wing, and Hotshot." He listed off the small group as they chatted under the shade of a nearby tree. Mac came over with a pleased smile on his face.
"As I see it if we keep up this pace we ought to be done by early afternoon." He gave the sun a look. Joseph also used the sun to gauge the time, something he was getting better at by the day.
"Man Mac I don't know how you guy's do this," Joseph stated as he got to his feet. Giving Mac a grin he pulled out a small apple from breakfast and began to eat it.
"Year's of practice." He stated slapping Joseph on the back with a burly southern chuckle. Joseph was caught off guard and went flying into the ground face first. Mac chuckled nervously as he put his hoof down and watched as Joseph picked himself up off the ground.
"Sorry, there partner." He rubbed his head.
"Sometimes I forget about how strong I am." Joseph just laughed.
"Don't worry about it, Mac. Nothing's broken so I'm good." Joseph chuckled as he took Mac's offered hoof and was hauled to his feet, Mac using much less strength this time. Some laughter caught up with the two's ear's and they looked over to see the trio still working for the day all laughing there flank's off.
"Careful there furless." Silver shouted in his heavy Irish accent.
"Don't want to send you to the hospital again." He got up and waved at the other two. They all got up and followed him over to Mac and Joseph who made room at there little table. Once they were all seated the group was soon chatting up a storm. Silver set his site's on Joseph and struck up a conversation.
"So Joseph was it?" Joseph nodded.
"Yeah." He said feeling a little tired of repeating himself.
"Wish the princesses would make a formal announcement or something." He got out of his thoughts and paid some attention to Silver.
"So Joseph you and Dash are hanging out a lot more." He wiggled his eyebrow's.
"How's that going for you?" Joseph just smiled and tried to play off his annoyance.
"It's going just fine." He stated as Mac got a disapproving scowl on his face.
"We've decided to start heading over to the gym now." Joseph didn't like Silver all that much. He had a feeling that Silver knew this but continued to try and talk to him anyway.
"Well, I guess you can't have them all huh?" He nudged Joseph in the ribs to which Joseph just chuckled dryly at Silver's uncouth implications.
"After all, you hang around with the other five of there little group." He chuckled.
"Hell, you even live with the Princess. Now that take's some guts to try and court her aye!"
"Why does he do this?" Joseph thought as Silver laughed at Joseph's ever reddening face.
"Come now lad I'm just fooling you." Silver said as he laughed off his jab at Joseph's and Mac's expense.
"Huh! huh! If you was serious you'd think about starting a herd." Swift and Hotshot were both giving off nervous laughter while looking between Mac and Silver.
"Howdy, Y'all!" Came a shout from the farmhouse. All eyes went to Applejack who made her way to the barn where the little group was.

The next day saw Joseph out of the hospital and off to Twilight's castle albeit he was confined to a wheelchair upon Fluttershy's request. It irked him but seeing Fluttershy so happy afterward more than made up for it. The girls were all there waiting to welcome him home. While they all walked back to the castle Joseph was lost in thought.
"Still can't believe she's a thestral." He shook his head.
"It's alway's the quiet ones," He smirked as Fluttershy pushed him along the cobblestone walkway through the center of town. As he mused on the situation at hand the girls all talked about the event.
"So dear what are the Princesses going to do about this?" Rarity asked as the group all shuddered. Fluttershy blushed as she steered Joseph's wheelchair around a divot in the dirt road. Twilight shook her head.
"They said they'ed keep us all in the loop. For now, all they can do is head back to canterlot and take it from there." She sighed. Dash chimed in next.
"Wait, Twi doesn't your brother work for the C.I.A.?" she asked giving her a hopeful look. Twilight thought about it and then whipped out a piece of parchment.
"Rainbow Dash you're a genius!" She began to furiously write a letter to her BBBFF. Rainbow just smiled as they all continued towards the castle. Joseph finally able to talk asked one question that was bugging him.

"I'm guessing that has something to do with it?" He said watching as the tiny arc danced up Dash's foreleg and then around her wing's before dissipating into the air. She smirked.

He lifted a hand now unbandaged but still not fully functional up to her head and gave her a scratch behind her ear's. She gave out a soft hum of satisfaction and continued her story.
"You looked like a pony had taken a sledgehammer to your body." She winced at the memory of his arms.
"There was so much blood." She shuddered as the other's all came together for a huddle. As one the group continued to the castle off in the distance.
"As they wheeled you into the emergency room the doctor's got to work." Her eyes flared a light shade of pink.
"The doc's didn't really know what to do." She shook her head.
"The first time you were there the only thing they had to worry about was you catching a cold." She chuckled.
"Now your life was on the line and they were scrambling to get your bones reset in the right places." They all winced at that.
"So anyway long story short you were being prepped for ICU when your heart stopped." Joseph looked at them all.

"How long was I gone?" He asked. Dash smirked.
"Only about 5 seconds." She slapped him on the back.
"The doc's were rushing about trying to find a defibrillator." She laughed.

"Well it's nice to know who else I owe my life to but that doesn't sound like we went to third base," Joseph smirked as the whole group blushed and Dash stammered as she tried to stay in the air but her wing's trying to go rigged didn't help matters.
"I-that-!" She sputtered as the group all went there seprate ways within the castle. Fluttershy still fussing over Joseph's injuries wheeled him to his temporary room on the first floor while Dash followed behind.
"That's wasn't the end of the story!" She huffed as Fluttershy giggled backing into Joseph's room so the two friends could still talk. Joseph just laughed.
"Well ok then but by the end of this we better end up in bed or something." He waggled his eyebrow's causing Dash to blush and smirk.
"HA! In your dream's big guy!" she stated as he just sat there smiling.

"Anyway. So you were back from your little nap and the doc's had fixed you up real good." She lost her confidence a little bit.
"The healing spell's they were using were basic rudimentary healing magic." She stated as she sighed.
"As far as doctor's go they were great. But the problem came in when your body kept on rejecting the amount of magic they were trying to pump into you to keep you going." She looked at Joseph with some small amount of apprehension.
"So Fluttershy gave it a shot and it worked for a little while until your blood started to become to thin." Fluttershy's face lit up with embarrassment.
"Plus pony blood is easier to manipulate than your's," Fluttershy stated as she trotted around to the front of the wheelchair. Joseph shook his head.
"Wow. I had no idea that even when at death's door I could still be a pain in the ass." He deadpanned. The two mare's giggled and Dash tapped him on his good arm.
"Hey, your kind of allowed to be a pain in the flank if your dying." They all chuckled at that.
"So how'd you save my life and steal my virginity Dash?" Joseph asked not wanting to be delayed any longer. Dash rolled her eye's.
"Pop quiz. What do all living things need to survive?" she asked causing Joseph to stop and think about it.
"Food, water, oxygen." He looked at the two. They both nodded. Dash just smirked.
"So It was really easy to heal the rest of your wound's and the superficial damage," she stated as she stretched out her wings.
"All's I had to do was cast the healing spell and simultaneously convert it into an aerosol form." She stated as her wing's glowed a soft pale blue color. The smell of fresh rain after a storm flowed throughout the room washing away the stale musky odor of books and wood that strangely permeated the small space.
"Nice so how does that." Joseph pointed to Dash's wings.
"Heal this." He pointed to his head. Dash grinned from ear to ear. She then got up and sauntered over to Joseph's wheelchair. Her trot was hypnotic as she swayed her hip's with each step keeping her wing's perfectly erect.
"Well." She stopped in front of the now thoroughly red-faced human who was trying to not think of Dash as sexy right now.
"I simply placed my lip's to your's and blew." She said as she did just that. It was strange to kiss a pony. Joseph sat there shocked as his lungs were forced to breathe the minty air Dash was giving him at the moment. Through the haze of emotion's and hormone's flowing through his brain at the moment Joseph could feel a cooling sensation spread throughout his body starting from his chest and radiating outwards from there. Joseph's various aches and pains fled before the soothing magic flowing through him at the moment.
Then as quick as it had come the cooling tapered off to a small trickle. As Joseph felt the wheelchair move a little he opened his eyes to see Dash sitting there her face a mask of pride and embarrassment as if she was trying to figure out which to be at the moment.
"So what do you think? Pretty smart huh?" She asked as Joseph came down from cloud nine. He starred at the two pegasi a goofy grin on his face. They both giggled he sat there slowly coming back down to Equis. He shook his head to clear the last of his fog-filled mind.
"Wow." Was all he could say as he thought about what had just happened. He shook his whole body in an effort to get his head screwed on straight.
"Wow. That's some powerful stuff Dash." He said chuckling to himself.
"How come you don't work in the hospital?" He asked causing Dash to laugh.
"Because. 1 I'm not the only one who can do that. All pegasi heal." She sat back down letting her wing's fall to her sides.
"2 I don't think the doc's or nurses wouldn't take too kindly to me kissing all the aching patent's." The group all laughed at that image.
"And reason number 3 was that it was an emergency and I kind of had to make it up on the fly." She rubbed her head, sheepishly grinning as she talked. Joseph was impressed.
"Wow." He said leaning back in his chair contemplating what all had happened in the last few day's.
"Well for what it's worth I'm insanely grateful to have friend's like you girl's." Dash and Fluttershy caught the slight emphasis he gave to friends. They decided not to pry and instead they retreated from his room with the promise to come and check in on him in a little while.
8:00 A.M.
Dash and Fluttershy were trotting down the hall to the throne room when Dash stopped and sighed. Fluttershy stopped and gave Dash a look of concern.
"Are you ok?" She asked. Dash nodded her head.
"No. Not really." She stated as she danced on her hooves.
"Do you think I went a little too far back there?" She motioned down the hall. Fluttershy looked at Joseph's room and sighed.
"Dash we all know how you can get sometime's." She said resting a hoof on Dash's wither's.
"Even Joseph can see that you were just being you." She smiled.
"I would, however, be careful to not send him mixed signal's." She stated as she trotted off down the hall. As Dash started walking again she had a horrible thought pass through her head.
"What if that's too late?" She said out loud. Fluttershy whirled around so fast it caught Dash off guard. This let Fluttershy pin her against a nearby pillar of crystal. Dash yelped as Fluttershy snarled, her face briefly morphed into her feral form.
"Then you better fix it quickly!" Fluttershy growled as she let go of Dash who slid down the pillar to stunned to move.
"Noted." She breathed as Fluttershy took a step back and recomposed herself. Slowly Dash and Fluttershy both calmed down. Fluttershy looked down at dash and held out a hoof.
"I'm sorry about that Dash but I meant what I said." Dash took the hoof and pulled herself shakily to her hooves. She looked into Fluttershy's blazing eyes and smirked.
"Even now I still manage to screw thing's up." She shook her head.
"Why can't I just learn when to quit while I'm ahead?" She asked herself causing Fluttershy to giggle.
"Because Dash that's just not your style." She gave Dash a nuzzle. Dash laughed and gave Fluttershy a friendly noogie to which Fluttershy giggled and tried to get out of. As the two horsed around they slowly made their way to the big double door's that lead to the throne room.
"So just go and tell the big guy I messed up?" Dash asked as she set a hoof on the handle. Fluttershy nodded.
"Just explain that your emotions were a bit too high strung at the time to think straight." She said as she to put hoof to handle. Dash chuckled.
"Yeah well, heat week isn't doing us any favors." She said opening the door and striding inside. Fluttershy giggled and nodded.
"Yeah, that could have something to do with it." She gave Dash a small wink to which she rolled her eyes and laughed.
"You've been hanging around me too long. Your starting to get sarcastic!" Dash and Fluttershy shared a giggle as they took there seat's.

Chapter 10: A Foal For Your Thoughts.
March 31, 1002.
Princess Cadance was concerned. She trotted through the hall's of her aunt's castle feeling very worried.
"Oh, what am I going to do?" She was frustrated mostly because she had an idea but didn't know if her aunts would sign off on the idea. As she continued to aimlessly wander around the castle she was stopped as her snout plowed into a wall of pink.
"Ow." She rubbed her snout with a hoof looked around.
"Shining Armor you get your royal ass out here right now!" She demanded as her husband's laughter echoed throughout the hallway.
"How'd you know it was me?" He said materializing from out of a pillar in the hallway. Cadance smirked.
"Really? Your the only stallion within a hundred mile's with a pink aura." She quipped causing Shining to smile. He trotted over and gave his wife a hug and a kiss.
"So I take it this has to do with that foal you found?" He smirked as Cadence looked at him in shock.
"How?" She stopped herself.
"Of course. I don't know how I keep forgetting who you work for." Shining laughed.
"Even after I find you out before you can step hoof into Equestria and you still forget my ability's?" Cadance just blushed and playfully pushed her husband off of her.
"Oh quit you." She smirked.
"I was young and not that well trained as an infiltrator back then." Shining just smiled.
"Still didn't stop you from arriving a few days later in disguise with some half-baked story about an evil enchantress that cursed a whole village into fighting while she fed off their love." He stated as Cadance blew a raspberry at him.
"Oh please. You didn't have to go along with it but you did." She stated as the two trotted off down the hall.
"So what's got you so up in arm's about this foal?" He asked they made their way to the great hall of the royal sister's. Cadance was silent at first but looking at her husband's concerned face gave her strength.
"He's dying." The statement hung in the air until they reached the throne room. Shining inclined his head to the door.
"You think they'll be able to help?" He asked as his horn lit up and the door glowed pink. Cadance nodded.
"I hope so." She said as they opened the double doors and trotted in.
Ponyville.
After an awkward conversation with Dash about the fact that he would need ongoing healing treatments in order to make sure he was fully healed the two friends discussed what this meant for them as friends.
"Trust me Dash It's fine." He stated as Dash twiddled with her hooves.
"Are you sure?" She asked feeling less like dirt than when she got there this mourning. Joseph nodded.
"For the last time yes." He chuckled giving her a hug and scratching her ear causing her leg to start twitching.
"I know just how cuddly you ponies can be." He stated as Dash shook her head and pushed Joseph's hand off of her. They just laughed and Dash stepped out the way as Joseph stood up.
"Easy there," Dash said as she took flight and used her forehooves to steady Joseph as he tried to walk. He tittered for a little bit but soon found his balance again with some help from Dash.
"Thank's." He said as Dash floated behind him her hooves on his shoulder's now. She smiled.
"No problem." The two made their way out the room and down the hallway.
"So what are your plan's for tonight Dash?" Joseph had made it a habit to ask his friend's about the outside world considering he was grounded at the moment.
"Maybe grounded in to harsh." He thought about it.
"Disabled?" He was brought back to the present by Dash who tapped him on the shoulder.
"Huh?" She smirked.
"You ok dude?" He laughed.
"Oh yeah. Sorry." He said rubbing his head in embarrassment. Dash chuckled as they continued there trip to nowhere.
"It's cool." She smirked.
"I was in the hospital to you remember?" She gave him a soft nudge. He stumbled and glared at Dash as she gave him an apologetic look. His scowl dissolved into a grin and the two shared a laugh. As they stopped outside the library the two checked inside to see if anypony was present.
"Hey there Spike!" Joseph threw the door's open as the drake looked up from his book. His eye's lit up.
"Hey man!" He tossed his book down on the table and ran over to Joseph who gave him a big hug. The two let go and Spike gave Dash a hoof bump.
"Man the hospital should charge you rent," Spike smirked as Joseph smiled and Dash laughed.
"He's got a point you know," Dash added.
"At this rate, you just might beat me for how long one pony or in your case person has spent in Ponyville General." She slapped Joseph's back causing him to sway.
"You just love trying to put me back in there don't you?" Dash chuckled.
"Maybe." She smirked.
"I've been told I'm a really good kisser so that could have something to do with it." She wrapped a hoof around Joseph's neck as he shook his head and blushed fiercely.
"Yeah well, what can I say you have a magic touch like no other." He stated as the trio left the library with Spike in tow.
"So Dash what are your plan's for tonight?" Joseph asked once more. Rainbow rolled her eye's.
"Who want's to know?" She giggled as Joseph grumbled.
"Someone who still has,"-He looked at his watch-"A week's worth of recovering to do." He stated as Rainbow gave her night some serious thought.
"You know with all the hectic stuff going on I was seriously thinking of taking tonight off form everything." She said. Joseph nodded.
"Understandable." He said as the trio got the front door.
"Why you ask?" Dash asked. Joseph just smiled.
"Well, I was wondering if you might want to help me get out and go stargazing tonight?" He asked feeling very awkward.
"There's no way-
"That sound's great." Dash's answer cut off Joseph's train of thought.
"Really?" He said feeling out of place. Dash nodded.
"Of course. It's not too strenuous and it's a clear night out tonight so why not?" She smiled as Spike looked around.
"Hey, you two don't mind if I go and scoop up the other's do you?" He asked. Dash was curious.
"Nope. Why'd you ask?" Spike just chuckled.
"Ow, no reason." He'd been spending to much time with Rarity. He snickered as he set off to go fetch the others.
"Those two are in for rough ride." He chuckled to himself.
Ponyville General.
"This way your highness." Nurse Red Heart escorted the royal sisters to the maternity ward where Cadance and Shining greeted them with a bow. They all exchanged pleasantries as they looked into the foal center.
"Doth the little tyke fare well?" Luna asked as she spotted the little foal's pristine white coat amongst a sea of colors. Cadance shook her head.
"I'm afraid not auntie luna." She to looked at the foal and felt her heart break a little. Celestia raised a hoof to the glass.
"Twilight had informed me of the little one's plight but even we haven't been able to find a solution to this dilemma." She sighed as she let her hoof fall from the glass.
"We sifted through all of our ancient text and manuscripts and still nothing." Celestia looked at the little foal.
"I can only pray that Twilight has a solution in that vast library of hers." Cadence sighed.
"Honey is there any world from Sunburst?" She gave her husband a pleading look. He shook his head.
"None. Starlight is with him so that should help speed thing's up a bit." He smiled as he thought of those two.
"That is if they can stop screwing each other's brains out long enough to look." He roared with laughter as Cadance and the royal sister's all blushed and shook there head's.
"Only you." Cadance took in a short breath as she gave her husband a sly smile.
"Well, maybe you would like to go and join them?" She said stopping her husband's laughter dead in its track.
"What?" He asked as he started sweating bullets. Suddenly his wife was engulfed in green fire and in her place stood Starlight.
"Oh, you thought I didn't notice the stares and glances you threw my way?" She slid up to Shining who tried to stop his ever stiffening erection from growing.
"Cadance honey please not here!" He begged to which Starlight just chucked.
"Oh, what is the big strong stallion afraid of?" She teased as she got ever closer to Shining backing him into a corner. Stuck and with no way out Shining looked beyond Starlight at the royal sister's who shook their heads.
"You dug your own grave Shining." Was the jist of there expressions smirk and all. Shining gulped as he felt himself reach full mast.
"Oh boy." He gulped as Starlight finished backing him into a corner and proceeded to give him those sultry eye's.
"So what 'll it be Captain?" She said as she stood there smirking.
"You know I've been a very bad mare lately?" She roped a hoof around shining's neck.
"After all isn't it a crime to lust after a prince?" She asked as she nibbled on Shining's ear earning a moan of pleasure from him. He gave out a small grunt as a glob of pre-cum spilled out his now throbbing shaft.
"Cadence honey t-th-the-baby." He stated as Cadance looked back at the royal sister's.
"Don't worry too much dear," she stated as she began to need his shaft with her right forehoof.
"He's not in any immediate danger and we still have to wait for Twilight." She leaned in and gave his snout a seductive lick slowly making her way up his snout to his ear she was just nibbling on. Shining's breathing had quickened.
"Cadance wh-at -- a-b-b-bout-th-e staff?" He said moaning in ecstasy at her ministrations. She smiled.
"Don't worry about them." She whispered into his ear. Her horn then glowed and a room next to them opened up. Soon they were making out like young ones and awkwardly trotting to the unoccupied room leaving the royal sister's standing there.
"Dear sister, what has Twilight looking up lately?" Luna asked as she slipped into modern equestrian. Celestia shook her head.
"She hasn't sent me a letter in over two week's." She sighed.
"I guess our newest resident has been keeping her preoccupied." She smiled.
"We'll just have to see what she can come up with when she arrives." Luna nodded and then went back to staring at the baby.
"Oh YEs! Shining! Right There!" Celestia snorted as the sound of grunting and a bed being bashed against the wall permeated the hallway.
5:25 P.M.
Twilight frantically searched around her library.
"SPIKE!" She tossed a few tables about in her search for the drake. Sure he had grown quite a bit since coming to ponyville but he could still fit in some small space's.
"Spike!"She yelled once more. Not receiving an answer she screamed and in a flash, she was outside in the town square.
"SPIKE!" She bellowed using her royal voice.
Upon hearing his name being shouted throughout the town Spike, Dash, and Joseph all stopped and looked around.
"Oh boy. She sound's mad." Spike sighed as he made his way to the center of town. Once there Twilight spotted her surrogate brother waving his arms about. She descended to the ground and trotted over to the little group.
"Spike where were you? I've been searching for-" She stopped as she spotted Dash and Joseph grinning like fools.
"Oh, so he was with you two." She deadpanned as they shook there heads.
"So what's the hurry there princess?" Joseph asked as she gave him a sheepish look. She took a deep breath calmed down and her face lit up once more.
"Ok, so you know how that foal we found hasn't been feeling well?" She had summarized what was wrong while trying to not alarm her friend's but it looked like the cat was about to except tonight. They all nodded. Twilight then rummaged through her saddlebags and pulled out a letter.
"This came from Starlight earlier today." She held it aloft for them to see. She then ripped it back and shoved it into her bags. Dash who had read to letter through gave her a fleeting smile.
"According to that if the little guy get's an influx of magic it should stabilize him right?" She asked. Twilight nodded.
"Then there's no time to lose." She zipped off to the hospital leaving Joseph, Spike, and Twilight. Twilight wasted no time and in a flash, they were in the front doors of Ponyville General. Dash was waiting for them at the front desk. Spotting them she trotted over.
"The nurse say's that the Princess's are already up there." Twilight gave out a sigh of relief and the group bolted up the stairs to the maternity ward. Once they reached the hallway around the corner however they all stopped as the smell of sex hung in the air.
"Wow someone's having a fun time," Dash said as she fanned her wing's pushing the offensive odor away. Twilight lit up her horn and a bright beam of light flashed around them.
"There that should counteract any lingering pheromones in the air." She gave them all a soft smile.
"Now let's go." She marched forward followed by the rest of the group. Soon they came across Celestia and Luna talking about the finer points of eating a cake.
"But sister how does one eat a whole cake on there own?" She asked causing Celestia to clam up. Upon seeing Twilight she let out a sigh of relief.
"Oh hello, Twilight." She said making her sister turn around and spot the little group approaching them. Twilight and the other's bowed.
"It's good to see you all again," she said as she looked around.
"Where'--" Her question was answered before she could ask it.
"A-lmost --There!" Shining shouted as the walls shook. Twilight fumed.
"Seriously!" She shouted and with a pop vanished. The sound of Shining and Cadance climaxing came to the forefront of the hallway before violently being torn away by a scream ripping throughout the hallway.
"Twilight! What are you doing?" Shining shouted as Twilight appeared in the room. Twilight snorted upon seeing Starlight in being mounted by her brother.
"I should be asking you who you are doing but I think I can put two and two together!" She pointed a hoof to the hallway.
"I need you two outside. Right. Now!" She slammed the door shut as she left and took a deep breath to calm down. As she made her way down the hallway she stepped in something sticky. Lifting her hoof to get a closer look she saw her hoof was wet. She sniffed it only to recoil and quickly try to wipe it off onto her coat. That only served to make it worse.
Quickly thinking of a cleaning spell she cast it on herself. Her fur heated up then went slack and was soon surrounded by a force field before some water materialized inside the field and her walking forward caused the shield to vibrate which helped work the water into the guppy stain and wash it away. As she made her way to the other's the spell ended leaving her coat looking pristine.
"Having some trouble there Twi?" Spike smirked to which Twilight scowled.
"Not a good time Spike." She snapped causing the drake to chuckle. Soon Shining and Cadence joined the little group looking no worse for wear.
"So," Cadance said slapping her hooves together.
"So," Joseph said wandering what they were all doing here. Twilight pulled out her letter.
"I got this form Starlight a little over an hour ago." She said handing it over to the other princesses. Shining smiled.
"So I guess they can do something besides screwing each other ten's way's from Sunday." Twilight cleared her throat and gave her brother the evil eye.
"Really?" She said not wanting to go down that road tonight. Shining rubbed his head.
"Alright point taken." He stood back and let Cadance read the letter. She gasped and ran over to the glass window.
"Yes! yes! yes!" She danced a little jig as the other princess's trotted up to the glass.
"Shall we begin?" Luna asked. The other's nodded. Cadence went to go retrieve the little guy while Celestia looked for a suitable room. She found it and they all followed her there baby in tow.
Ponyville General.
"Ok, every pony let's see if Starlight's spell works." Twilight rechecked the letter. Slowly her horn began to glow. Soon a soft lavender hue engulfed the baby and it began to float in the air. Thing's were going well until Twilight felt a strain in her horn an then something latched into her magical stream. Crying out she reached for the others.
"Twilight what's wrong?" Shining asked as he rushed to his sister's side as she struggled to keep a hold of the spell.
"There's something draining my magic!" She shouted as the baby began to glow a soft white.
"Hold on Twilight." Cadance fired off her magic to try and take hold of the baby but soon found her own magic being siphoned as well. Crying out she struggled with an unseen force hell-bent on consuming her magic.
"What In Tartarus if happening?" She screamed as Shining tried using his magic to pull his wife and sister free from the foal only to fall prey to the same effect's.
"GAAAHHH!" He struggled to control the flow of magic that began to leave him at alarming level's. Shining thrashed about as his magic was sucked away bit by bit. Joseph not knowing what else to do ran over and tried to pry Shining away for fear of his life. As soon as his hand's touched the stallion however his world went dark.

Joseph awoke to a strange yet familiar scene. Black as far as the eye could see.
"Great. Where the hell am I now?" he asked to himself.
"Hello!" The voice ripped through the blackness causing Joseph to stumble a little bit.
"Wait a minute? That voice." Joseph began to look around and off in the distance he spotted it. A little speck of white against the darkness.
"There you are!" He set off in a dead sprint praying he would make it in time.
Ponyville General.
"Joseph!" Dash tried to go to his aid but was blocked by a yellow barrier.
"Hold yourself Dash," Celestia ordered. Dash stopped mid-step and looked at the princess.
"What?" She asked looking from Celestia to her friend's all writhing in agony. Seeing what she had almost done she stomped a hoof to the ground cracking the tile floor.
"Damn it now what?" She asked feeling helpless. Celestia shook her head.
"I don't know. We will just have to wait and see." She stated as she and Luna sat down. Dash then had an epiphany.
"Wait a sec Luna you can dream walk right?" Luna nodded and gathering the jist of Dash's plan talked it over with Celestia. The two nodded and Luna laid down.
"Come Dash. We mustn't dally." She stated as her horn glowed and Dash's world went black.

"Hello?" Dash called out into the endless void. She didn't get a response. So she trotted along. As she did so she spotted a white speck off in the distance. Flaring her wing's she took off at full speed. When she arrived at the white light she was shocked to see Joseph already there.
"Joseph!" She smiled as she went over to him but soon her smile faltered as she saw he wasn't responding to her.
"Hey, you ok?" She asked concern creeping into her voice. She went over and tentatively poked him. Nothing happened.
"Hey!" She shook him.
"Wake up!" She screamed as she shook him even more. Still nothing. Looking around and not seeing anypony else she grabbed him by the waist and started pulling. Slowly he began to come unglued to the white sphere she could see as he uncoiled himself from around the object.
"Come on! Let it go!" She screamed as tear's dripped down her face. With one more heeve she and Joseph were sent flying backward as the world began to fade from view.
"Please. Wake Up." That was the final thought echoing through her head as she succumbed to the darkness surrounding her.

Act II, Chapter 11: Temporal Fracture's.
April 2, 1002.
Applejack heaved out a sigh as she, Pinkie, Rarity, Fluttershy, Dash and the Princess's all waited in the hospital lobby for any new's of there friend's conditions. So far Twilight, Shining Armor, Cadence, Joseph, and the foal had yet to awaken from their comatose state. The group was soon joined by Night Light and Twilight Velvet who canceled their honeymoon plans and raced to ponyville at once.
"How long is it going to take?" Dash screamed as she paced around the floor glaring at the clock hard enough to cause it to short circuit a little bit as sparks danced across its surface. She felt a hoof on her shoulder and looked to see Celestia giving her a smile.
"Calm yourself Rainbow." Rainbow huffed and sat down next to Celestia who curled a wing around the blue speedster.
"Your friends are strong. They'll make it through this." She looked at the others. They were all some state of barely contained panic at the moment. She shook her head.
"How can we fix this?" She mused as she went over the events in her mind. She saw Twilight's magic engulf the baby. Her eye's widened,
"Then this all started," she muttered as Luna came over.
"Sister?" She asked sensing her growing unease. Celestia turned to her sister, her face a mask of stone.
"Luna when you helped Rainbow roam the dreamscape what did you find?" She asked causing Luna to stop and think about her experience.
"Tis was a vast infinite expanse of nothingness sister." She stated as she to gasped. Her sister joined her as the two royal's made their way to the ER where the group of friends was being held until there condition improved. Dash joined them looking between the two.
"Do you two know something we don't?" She asked mad at being left out of the loop. Celestia felt her anger and sighed.
"Dash there is something Luna and I must attend to and it involves your friend's." Her eye's lit up.
"Did you find a way to heal them?" She zipped up to Celestia's face causing her to smirk.
"We might have found the cause of the problem and found a way to fix it." She sighed.
"But we are going to need you and the other's to help." Dash faltered a little bit but caught herself.
"O-ok." She looked at the others.
"What do you need princess?" She asked eliciting a laugh from Celestia. Luna waved a hoof through the air causing it to ripple and then fade out as she brought the astral plane into the physical plane of existence.
"Dash this foal that we've found if our theory is correct is an anomaly." She stated causing Dash to hold up a hoof.
"Hold on a sec. I need to go get the other's for this." She said zooming over to the rest of the group and telling them to haul flank over to the ER. Soon the whole group was present and Luna recounted her theory.
"So as I told Dash here." She nodded to the baby while opening a hole in the astral plane once more. The other's looked on in fascination as the princess manipulated the weave of space-time over to the sleeping patents. Immediately the bubble began to distort around the group with the foal becoming the epicenter of the phenomena.
"Lensing effect," Dash said causing the whole room to stare at her. She glared and rolled her eye's.
"What? I had to go through an astronomy class before I could go to weather management." She folded her forehooves as the other's all went back to staring at the orb of bent space that surrounded the little foal.
"What does this mean?" Rarity asked. Luna was about to answer but she was again beaten to the punch.
"It mean's that whatever happened to this little guy turned him into a rip in the space-time continuum meaning that he's basically a never-ending magic sucking pit to nowhere." Pinkie chimed in. Dash face hoofed.
"In essence, he's a black hole but instead of sucking in everything he's only effecting magic." She stated as the other's all nodded.
"Yes except that this black hole has torn a hole in more than just our space-time continuum." She pointed to Joseph.
"This tear could very well be the reason our furless friend is among us," Luna stated. Celestia spoke up next.
"And it could also be the reason for all of the discrepancies in his world's view of our lives." She stated. Dash perked up.
"Hey, that's right!" She trotted over to Joseph and put a hoof to his head.
"He stated several times that when he used to watch his world's version of our's that there were a lot of difference's." She felt his heartbeat pulsing she checked his chest and then went over to the other's and did the same.
"Well, that can certainly happen with the vast amount of magic the little one is siphoning off," Luna said as the bubble in spacetime collapsed in and disappeared. The group was at a loss. Then Fluttershy had a thought.
"Um, Princess?" She asked as the other's all gave her their attention. She gulped and continued.
"Well, It's just that this hole you all keep talking about seems very chaotic and unharmonic." She stated causing the whole room to face hoof.
"Of course," Dash mumbled through her hoof as the other's all shook there heads.
"So Let's see here." Rarity held up a hoof.
"We have the element's of harmony." She got a nod from each pony present.
"And we have access to a being that makes a living working with chaos on a daily basis." She knew her face was going to be sore.
"So let's get to it!" Pinkie said as she began to gallop away. The other's all looked at Fluttershy who chuckled.
"Oh Discord!" She sang. At the mention of his name, a small hole appeared in the wall opposite the group. It then expanded until it took up the entire left wall and out stepped the master of chaos himself. He gave a long drawn out yawn all the while twisting his body around and around causing a series of crackling noise's to fill the room.
"Well Hello, everypony!" He said snapping his finger's and making a squad of cheering fanmare's pop into existence all of them shouting his name.
"Please please save your applause." He said earning a stern look from all those present. A cleared throat caused the whole group to stare at Fluttershy who did not look amused.
"What have I told you about them?" She looked over at the mare's who all stopped cheering and began to wither away as Discord's magic stopped dead in its track's. Discord rubbed the back of his neck as he gave out a low chuckle.
"Oh well, we had agreed that I would stop using them." He mumbled as he gazed at the floor like a scolded child. Fluttershy nodded.
"You do know that this mean's you'll be sleeping on the couch tonight right?" She stated causing the whole room to go silent. Discord just looked dejected.
"Yes, Flutter's." He sighed as Fluttershy smiled and flew up to him embracing him in a hug. Slowly she leaned forward and whispered.
"If you can help us save our friend's then I might even join you on said coach." She smirked as she let him go and drifted to the floor. The fire in Discord's eyes could fuel a thousand raging sun's.
Yes Ma'am!" He gave her a solute and in a flash turned himself into an alicorn pony with a golden coat, jet black mane, and firey orange eye's. He then turned to Luna.
"Princess If you would be so kind as to open your astral portal once more please." He said giving her a bow. She obliged opening it once more. Discord's horn lit up as he took hold of the portal and stabilized it.
"Hold on to your ass's folk's." He said as a donkey materialized out of thin air for him to grab onto. He then looked over to the elements of harmony minus Twilight.
"Let's go get Sparkle first." He said grasping the other's and whisking them all into the portal that soon closed in on itself like last time. Celestia and Luna both looked to the Sparkle parent's who were now at there family's side. They then looked over to Joseph who was alone.
"I wish there was something we could do to ease his pain," Luna said getting her sister's attention. She gazed at Joseph and then back to her sister. Then it clicked.
"He must miss them as much as you and I missed each other," Celestia said wrapping her sister in a wing. Luna nuzzled into her sister's side as the two slowly sank to the floor. As they lay there they contemplated just what they could do to help everypony while the elements went to go and fix the problem.
"For once I wish we weren't relegated to watching on the sideline's sister," Luna said causing her sister to chuckle.
"It is our only option at the moment, dear sister." She rested her head upon Luna's whither's.
"We have done all we can this time around." She looked over at the sleeping group.
"When the time come's we shall lend our aid as we always have." She stated as the two sat there comforting one another.
My New Life In Equestria: Year 1.
Act II, Chapter 12: Little Lost Soul.
Astral Plane.
The group had made there way through the dark muck Discord called the Aether. Discord's horn was aglow as he used it to track down temporal distortions and seal them. Upon sealing the last of the rift's in this location they set off into the black void.
"Almost there my friend's." He stated as they trotted around in search of Twilight. They soon found Twilight in much the same way Dash had found Joseph the first time. She was curled up next to a strange white orb. She, however, was far easier to awaken thanks to the element of magic within her. It began to pulse as magic began to flow through her once more.
"Huh?" She mumbled as she slowly opened her eye's to see her friend's all smiling at her. When she fully came to she gasped and looked at her surroundings.
"Um, girl's where are we?" She asked as her eyes fell on Discord.
"And who is he?" She asked. Discord pouted.
"Why Twilight how could w=you ever forget about me?" He said pulling his head off causing the alicorn to shrink back in fright.
"Wow!" She watched with horror as Discord put his head back on and smiled as Twilight's friend's all crowded around her to give her a hug. Still freaked out by Discord's display she gave him an inquisitive look.
"How are you all here?" She asked then shrieked.
"You all didn't go and touch me did you?" She asked feeling horrible for dragging her friend's with her. They all gave a soft nope letting Twilight take a deep breath.
"Oh thank Celestia." She sighed as she looked around.
"So how do we get out of here?" She asked as Discord trotted around the group.
"Well, I can help with that." He said snapping clapping his hooves together. A small portal opened revealing the waking world to the group. He pointed to Twilight.
"This one's for you Princess." He bowed as she trotted up to the portal.
"Why just me?" She asked. Discord smirked.
"Unless you want all of us to inhabit your body then just you should walk through this portal." Twilight gave him a look of fear.
"Ok, not going to have multiple personalities in my own body thank you." She said as she studied the portal. Discord stopped her as she set a hoof in front of it, however.
"When you wake up can you tell Luna to open the portal." He winked at the others.
"She'll know What I mean." Twilight nodded and trotted through the portal. Soon the other's were greeted with a portal of there own. As the all trotted out they saw Twilight being smothered by her parents.
"Oh, our baby girl is ok!" Velvet cried as she tried to squeeze the life from the alicorn who looked like she needed some air. Finally, Velvet let go and her father took over.
"How are you doing champ?" He said ruffling her hair. She giggled as she shoved her father's hoof away and gave him a hug. He accepted it but their sweet reunion was cut short by Discord clearing his throat.
"Sorry to break this up but we still have four more pony's to awaken." He pointed to the other's who were still fast asleep.
"Oh no." Twilight held a hoof to her mouth as she saw her brother, his wife, the baby and Joseph all fast asleep. As she stared at them she got out of bed, albeit a bit wobbly after not using her legs for the past few days, with her horn lit up and pointed at the baby. She did a quick scan of his body and was astonished to feel his magical field was beginning to stabilize on its own.
"Wait not on its own." She said as she then cast an aura analyzation spell over herself and was horrified to see her brother's and sister in law's magic were being siphoned by the baby. She then looked at Joseph and saw a stream of his own life force being pulled towards him as well.
"NO!" She screamed as she trotted over to him and tried to wake him up. Her brother and sister would be fine without there magic for a little while. It would come back on its own. But a pony's life force was something completely different. She looked at her friend's and gave them the grim new's.
"If we can't find a way to stop this them Joseph is dead." As she thought about it her inner element began to resurface. She smirked at her own forgetfulness.
"Of course. The elements can sense when there's an imbalance." She stated as she looked at the others.
"Let's save our friends." She stated as she reached within herself, grasping for the wellspring of pure harmonic magic her element possessed. Soon the room was aglow with the magic of friendship and as with the other countless time's the group had done this the rainbow magic flowed between the four sleeper's weaving it's spell into there very being until it settled upon the colt himself. The rainbow began to shift and flux around him but soon it vanished and left a sight to behold.
"Wow!" Discord's jaw dropped to the floor and he had to bend down to pick it back up. The royal sister's stood there in disbelief. Velvet and her husband were in shock as well. As the magic began to fade and the girl's stopped floating in the air they all took a look at the occupants of the bed's hoping to see them bright and awake. Instead, they too all saw and remained locked onto the once baby now little colt.
"What?" Twilight shouted breaking the silence that had thus prevailed. Her shouting, however, did manage to wake everypony up. Shining was the first to wake up. He looked around groggily at first but then saw the whole room shift it's focus from the colt to him.
"Uhh." He looked around, surmised that he was in a hospital then found his eye's roaming to the other occupants.
"Cadance!" He shouted bolting from his bed and scrambling to her side. She at first had been awoken by Twilight's shouting and now that her husband had shouted her name she was fully awake and alert.
"Shining?" She asked as he took her into his loving embrace.
"Oh, honey!" Shining said as he nuzzled her neck and held her close. She just patted his head in an effort to get him to stop.
"Shining dear, it's ok." She said feeling just a tad bit awkward that his whole family was here.
"When we get home you and I are going to have so much sex you'll be sure to get pregnant again." He stated as Cadance sat there looking mortified.
"Sweetie your parents are here!" She fiercely whispered into his ear. He just hugged her more. Meanwhile there parent's were watching with smirks upon their muzzles.
"He has your sex drive dear." Night Light nudged Velvet.
"Well, he had to have some of my gene's." She quipped as the couple stood side by side. The royal sister's both sighed with relief. The group then all saw the little colt start to stir. Just as he began to wake, however, Joseph shot out of his sleep screaming. The whole room covered their ear's as Twilight cast a shield around the distraught human. With his voice silenced, he began to hyperventilate. As he calmed down Fluttershy trotted over to the young colt.
"Um excuse me?" she asked getting the little guy's attention. He briefly looked around as if in wonder of his surrounding's and slowly looked back to Fluttershy.
"Um yes?" He asked surprised that he could now speak. It caught him so off guard that he put a hoof to his throat. Fluttershy chuckled at how cute he was.
"I'm Fluttershy." She stated pointing to herself. Then she pointed to him.
"And you are?" She asked. The colt began to think. Something registered as his eye's lit up. Fluttershy noted this and would ask Twilight about it later.
"My name." The colt struggled to recall it as he rattled his little head. Finally, he took a deep breath.
"My name Is Aion." He said sounding a little unsure of himself. Fluttershy nodded.
"Well, Aion on behalf of Ponyville we," She waved to all the ponies present.
"Welcome you to Equestria." She smiled causing the colt to relax and crack a small smile of his own.

Act II, Chapter 13: A Normal Day In Ponyville.
April 4, 1002.
Silver Tounge strode down the cobblestone street with only one thing on his mind.
"Gotta find a way to get a piece of that ass." He flipped through his saddle bag and found his bit pouch. Jingling it he put it back satisfied that he had plenty of bit's to spare.
"Stupid podunk town." He snared.
"The only thing good here is the mare's." He thought about it.
"Even then there are slim pickins." His cock twitched as his thought's drifted to six mare's in general that for on his 'Fuck before I die' list. His mouth began to salivate as his dick burned from within its sheath, begging for release.
"I can't take this much longer." He snarled looking for something to satisfy his urge's. As he looked around his eye's settled on a trio of flower sister's. His cock twitched with anticipation.
"Oh, they'll do nicely!" He started to make his way over to them, a suave grin spread across his muzzle.
"There just ripe enough." He was about a foot away when something stepped in his way.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" The voice said as she backed up a little bit. Silver who was knocked out of his trance began to seethe.
"Watch were-" His anger died in his throat as looked upon the pony that had stopped him from his latest conquest. He looked upon the visage of one Princess Flurry Heart. His dick went as hard as it could at the sight of pure perfection before him.
"Um." He replied as Flurry looked back feeling sheepish. Finally, his brain began to think for him and he cleared his throat.
"No sorry." He chuckled.
"The fault was mine. I wasn't watching where I was trotting." He nervously laughed as Flurry giggled. Then her eye's lit up and she grasped his hoof.
"Hey, you're a native of Ponyville right?" She asked. Silver looked around as ponies began to stare at the newest princess.
"Um yeah." He replied not feeling all that comfortable about this mare.
"Then can you point me in the direction of Ponyville General?" She asked as Silver's libido died down.
"Sure." He did not sound thrilled at all but his disappointment was lost on Flurry as she squealed and began to drag him along.
"Perfect!" She giggled.
"Mom and Dad are going to be so surprised!" She danced a little jig that nearly made Silver puke on the spot.
"This is going to be a long day." Silver thought.
"And not the fun kind." His dick spoke.
Rarity's Carousel Boutique.
After yet another hectic week spent in the hospital, the group all decided to take the next week off and rest. There new week was starting and the first thing Rarity suggested was an all-day trip to the spa. As the group, all arrived at Rarity's, however, she noticed that Joseph was rather restless.
"Dear, what's the matter?" She put a hoof on his leg causing him to look down and smile.
"Oh hey, Rarity." He said feeling out of place.
"Nothing much. Just been feeling all wound up." He looked like he was contemplating something. Rarity studied him for a sec.
"Fidgety, looking all around, he clearly doesn't feel tired but not relaxed either." Then it clicked in her brain. She smirked as she trotted over to Dash who looked less than enthused at an all-day spa trip but was still willing to put up with it for her friends. Rarity trotted over and whispered into her ear. Her eye's lit up as she grinned like mad.
"Are you sure Rare's?" She asked feeling more than a little bummed out at missing the day with her friend's. Rarity scoffed.
"Please, darling. I can see the inner you wanting nothing to do with all this 'frue frue' nonsense." she winked. Dash rolled her eye's and chuckled.
"Well, it has been a while since the big guy and I went to the gym." She said causing Rarity to smile.
"You don't say?" She smirked as Dash narrowed her eye's.
"Rarity what are planning?" She asked. Rarity just waved a hoof.
"Oh, darling whatever are you talking about?" She feigned innocent. Dash just chuckled.
"Sure Rarity," Dash said trotting over to Joseph and not believing a word Rarity said. Joseph gave her a wave as she sauntered over and smirked. "Why am I so excited?" She felt a little off.
"Well big guy look's like you and I are going to spend the day together." She chuckled as Joseph thought about this new development. Curiosity got the better of him.
"Any reason why?" He asked looking over to Rarity who gave him a wink.
"Rarity said that you weren't too thrilled with spending the whole day cooped up at the spa." She sighed in relief.
"Honestly neither was I." She nudged him in the leg.
"Guess I owe you one." She smirked as Joseph chuckled. As the two made their way out Joseph held the door open.
"After you my lady!" He bowed as Dash snickered, flicking his head with her tail on the way out.
"Dork." Joseph laughed as he joined her on the way to the gym, all the while Rarity watched as the two 'friend's' took off to enjoy there day together. Twilight trotted over and sighed.
"You've been to much time with Cadance again haven't you?" She asked causing Rarity to flush.
"Oh, whatever do you mean dear?" Rarity said while she went to go join the others. Twilight smirked as she and the other's began to file out of Rarity's boutique.
"You love playing ms. matchmaker." Then she frowned.
"But don't you think this is taking it a little to far?" She nodded to the two on the horizon.
"I mean what if he find's a way home? Then what?" She asked causing Rarity to pause mid-stride. Then she smiled softly.
"My dear if life has taught me anything it's that love can conquer any obstacle. If he find's away home, then he'll find a way to make this work." Then she shook her head.
"Alas, I must say that this is just a spark, a fleeting ember of passion for those two." She gave the two a soft look.
"They don't even realize it yet. There so cute together." She squealed as the other's all shook there head's. Fluttershy stole a glance in the two's direction.
"Remember what I said Dash." She smiled.
"Don't break his heart and I won't break your wing's." She trotted along catching up with the others.
Silently a shadow swooped down, trailing the dynamic duo to there destination.
Rock and A Hard Place, Ponyville Gym.
Joseph and Dash made it to the gym and with a sigh of relief found it to be nearly empty.
"Great!" Dash said speeding to the door and holding it open with a wing. She then motioned with her hooves at Joseph.
"Come on slowpoke!" She waved.
"Hustle hustle or all the good machine's 'll be gone." Joseph just chuckled and powerwalked the rest of the way there earning a swap on the ass from Dash who flew in the building as soon as Joseph passed through the threshold.
"Ok so same old, same old?" Dash asked as her adrenaline kicked into high gear. Joseph felt the air around them take on the distinct sent of ozone and chuckled as his own adrenaline got going.
"Sure why not." He stated as the two went over to the counter and grabbed a pair of yoga mats.
"All right several sets of wing up's." Dash listed off their normal workout routine.
"Then several sets of plank's." He said as they laid their mats down. They both then did a quick set of warm-up stretches and then got down onto there mats.
"Ready?" Dash asked as Joseph looked her in the eye's and nodded.
"Go!" Dash and Joseph set off at a sedated pace. As Dash had once said "No point in overexerting yourself to early." The two counted off until they had hit Joseph's upper limit of fifty. Joseph was impressed.
"Wow still got it even after spending nearly half my time here at the hospital." He chuckled as Dash laughed.
"Hey you don't mind if I do a few more?" she asked causing Joseph to contemplate her query.
"Not at all dash." He stated causing Dash to grin.
"Great!" She said as she ramped up her pace. "Why am I showing off?" She reasoned it was due to her stay at the hospital.
"Yeah that's it. Need to make up for all the time spent lazing about in there stupid comfy bed's." She smirked and pushed herself to do another fifty before calling a timeout. In that time Joseph had gone and gotten a few bottles of water.
"Here you go he passed one over to Dash.
"Thank's." She said taking it holding it with her wing's and using her teeth to pry the lid off. She took a few swigs but stopped when she noticed Joseph starring at her.
"What?" She asked feeling very warm inside.
"Do I have something on my coat?" She asked looking at her body. Joseph laughed as he waved a hand.
"No, no Dash." He said wiping a tear from his eye.
"It's just that I don't think I've never seen a pegasus do that before." He said causing Dash to catch on.
"Oh, the wing thing?" She started flexing her wing out for him to see. "So glad no pony else is here." She said as Joesph studied her wing's structure.
"Yeah hanging out with Fluttershy is a lot different than hanging out with you." He mused.
"Still learn something new every day." He mused as he mentally went over there list.
"Ok, so what's next?" He asked snapping Dash out of her stray thought's.
"Oh um yeah, let me.." She thought about it.
"Next is weight's." She said as they went over to the lifting bench. As they went over to the weight rack to select what they would need the door to the gym opened and in trotted a familiar face.
"Hello Rainbow Dash!" She and Joseph stopped and looked at the newcomer. Dash paled at the site of this stallion.
"Hotshot?" She starred as he sauntered over and sat down in there path. He smirked and wiggled his eyebrows.
"Hey, sweetie. Miss me?" He asked causing both Dash and Jospeh to recoil in shock.

Act II, Chapter 15: Turn The Heat Up!
April 29, 1002.
2 months. Joseph was ecstatic. He had officially been in Equestria for 2 whole month's. Pinkie even threw a party to mark the milestone. The whole gang showed up and even princess Cadance came with her husband and even their daughter.
Flurry Heart was adorable as she bombarded Joseph with questions about all sort's of things. He answered them as best as he could but then he got roped into a game of hide and seek with the C.M.C. Dash gave him a helping hand with some of her magic briefly allowing him to walk on clouds. He stayed up there for the better part of an hour watching the C.M.C. search every place they could find. Again with Dash's assistance he was able to get down relatively unnoticed and proceded to prank the trio at every turn. They got him back with a bucket full of tree sap. All in all, it was a fun time to be there in ponyville.
Now going on his third month there Joseph was excited. Summer was upon them and that meant ice cream and beach time. He had just found a job at Sugar Cube Corner and was now saving up for a trip to to the beach with the girls. To say that he was really looking forward to this was an understatement. Once he'd gotten past his nudity taboo he went on ahead and asked Rarity if she could whip him up a pair of swimming trunks for the trip to which she happily accepted on the condition that if anypony asked he'd tell them where he got them.
Now he was hauling apples over at sweet apple acre's helping the Apple family get ready for the summer harvest. Joseph took a minute to catch his breath and looked around at the Apple family hard at work. Applejack was bucking the tree's while Applebloom was catching the apples that fell. Big Mac then took the barrels full of apples and hauled them to the barn doors. Once there Joseph was to take the barrels and haul them into the barn where Granny Smith then sorted the good from the rotten. It was reaching 5 o clock and Mac was hauling up the last of the barrels for the day.
"One more batch and we're done." He shouted hauling the last of the barrels up to the big double doors. Joseph gave the stallion a smirk as he grabbed a barrel and hauled it into the barn.
"Looks like all that time at the gym's paying off." Applejack said as she and Applebloom trotted up to the barn. Joseph chuckled as he hauled out yet another barrel.
"Why Applejack if I didn't know any better I'd say you were flirting with me." He laughed as Applejack snorted and chuckled.
"First rule of courting sonny." Granny Smith came hobbling out the old barn a grin on her muzzle.
"It ain't a compliment it's the truth." She winked at Joseph causing him to blush fiercely and nearly lose his grip on his barrel. He caught it and continued into the barn as the whole Apple family laughed at that one. When he came out Applejack gave him a solid grin.
"Granny's right there Joseph" She giggled as he went to go grab his lunch bag and other article's of clothing he had discarded. He still kept his pant's on. Nudity taboo or no he wasn't going to walk around in the buff in front of little girl's. Even if said girls were of age and they all giggled like mad whenever he blushed or dd something funny.
"I just don't get you ponies sometime's." He shook his head as AJ gave him a slap on the shoulder which unlike last time didn't nearly send him careening into the dirt.
"Don't take it too personally Joe." She used his nickname. He knew she meant well. Whenever she used his nickname she was referring to him as a member of the family. In a way it made him feel like he actually belonged here.
"Beside's I ain't going to try and put the moves on yeah." She chortled as they walked down the path that lead to ponyville proper. Joseph let out a meager laugh of his own.
"Yeah I thought not." He then sighed as the two crossed the fields to the south of town following the winding trail.
"Speaking of the moves," AJ spoke up once more.
"How have thing's been going between my favorite alien sibling and a certain sky blue mare?" AJ smirked as Joseph flushed and shook his head.
"Nothing AJ." He stated causing Applejack to scoff.
"Really?" She raised an eyebrow. He just shrugged his shoulder's.
"I really doubt Rainbow would ever see me that way." He said thinking about his friend.
"Don't think she'd even give me a second thought." He sighed really not wanting to talk about this but knowing that his sister could be as stubborn as the best of them.
"Look AJ I really appreciate what you and the girl's." He said thinking of all the other time's the girls tried to set him up with a mare. Only twice so far but the memories were still embedded in his brain. Not pleasant was a good way of sugar coating it.
"I sense an ass coming along here?" AJ said causing Joseph to laugh out loud casing a few passing ponies to look his way. He got his laughter under control and continued.
"But I just don't think that right now is the time for me to be looking for anyone special right now." He answered causing AJ to roll her eye's and sigh.
"Ok sugar cube but don't go taking to much time to find that special someponie," she stated giving Joseph a nudge in the ribs to which he tussled her main. The two laughed as they continued to walk into town, unaware of a set of prying eye's watching from the shadow's. In a flash of magic, the pony was gone.
Meanwhile in the cloud district of Ponyville.
"Why?" Hotshot asked himself as he flew along the airway to his small one pony home. He landed on his front porch opened his front door, made a beeline for his bed and flopped down upon it and instantly began to sob causing his cloud pillow to soak up his tear's and become dark.
"It just isn't fair!" He hit his pillow causing a discharge of lightning to arch from his pillow to his metal nightstand next to his bed.
"What does that furless ape have that I don't?" He screamed as he reared around and kicked his pillow sending another bolt at his bedside desk. Growling with a primal fury he seized his pillow in his hooves. Imagining it to be the source of his anger and pain he began to pummel it. Soon little wisps of steam began to billow off of it as Hotshot struck it again and again. Soon it was billowing gout's of steam as his hooves were literally engulfed in flame at this point, his eye's long ago turning a deep shade of orange.
With all of his rage spent and down one less pillow to boot, Hotshot let his magic die down, as his eyes went back to there normal sky blue and his hooves no longer shot out gouts of fire.
"You know you can be so much more than this." The voice started Hotshot so bad that he flared his wing's in fright. Whirling around he was startled to see a unicorn in his house.
"Who the hell and what the fuck do you want?" Snarled at his intruder. The pony merely chuckled.
"What I want dear Hotshot is to show you what might have been." The figure's horn lit up and Hotshot's eyes went wide with shock.
"What it this?" He asked as he stepped forward looking at something that should be impossible. It was an image suspended in the air of him and,
"Dash." He said reaching a hoof out to touch the image only to have it pass right through. He snarled as he looked to the unicorn.
"What kind sheep trick is this?" He screamed. The unicorn just chuckled.
"This is no trick. This is what might have been, has been, and could still be." He said sauntering over to Hotshot and whispering into his ear.
"If you can sieze it." He let his words sink in as he slowly began to fade away. Hotshot looked panicked.
"What's that supposed to mean?" He screamed at the fading apparition who simply cast a small spell as he faded from this world.
"GRRAAHH!" Hotshot clutched his head as a dozen images began to flood his head. He screamed as he was bombarded with an overload of new emotion's and feeling's he never knew. Slowly the flood began to trickle down into a soft drip. All the while one memory stuck out amongst the torrent.
"Dash." He wept once more, this time tears of joy. He had been with her once and according to these new memory's there relationship had swelled and overflowed with love and passion.
"If you can size it, then it shall be your's." The voice called out to him. He made up his mind. Wiping the blood from his nose and going to the shower to make himself more presentable he made a vow then and there.
"This will be my reality!" He trotted into his bathroom and slammed the door.
My New Life In Equestria: Year 1.
Act II, Chapter 16: Plan's In Motion.
May 15, 1002.
"Thank you, please come again." Joseph had helped yet another customer receive their order and was now making his way to the front counter.
"Hey, Joe we have a Banana Nut muffin at table twelve." Pinkie chimed in as she came out the back and helped another pony with their purchase.
"Can do Pinks." He gave her a mock salute before grabbing the pastry and heading over to the table. He got there and was surprised to see Dash and a new pony he had yet to meet but knew of him.
"Hey Dash, who's your friend?" He asked as he handed the bag to the stallion who gave him thanks. Dash laughed.
"You're the expert on interdimensional phenomena." She gave him a smirk.
"You tell me?" she challenged. Joseph chuckled and obliged.
"Soren." He said extending a hand. Soren feigned shock.
"Wow dash so you told him my name." He smirked. Joseph grinned.
"Your also a wonderbolt who is currently in a relationship with Spitfire the resident leader of the team as well as being the second in command if anything happens to her." He got Soren's attention.
"Go on." He waved a hoof. Joseph nodded.
"Well judging by your age, which I'm guessing at this point. you joined when you were 18 when you signed up." Soren was beginning to get suspicious.
"This is to good to be just guesswork." He frowned.
"Beside's there's one little bit of info you managed to botch." He stated as he glared at the table.
"Wait really?" Joseph asked feeling more than a little nervous. Soren smirked as he let his facade fall.
"Me and Spitfire were never a couple." He smirked. Joseph thought about it and smiled.
"Well, I can't get everything right." He shrugged his shoulder's. as Dash cracked up.
"But you see my point now Soren?" she said waving her hoof about.
"He know's stuff about us that nopony else should, could, or even would know." She smirked.
"It's kinda creepy when you stop to think about it." She smiled as Joseph blushed and coughed.
"But hey it's also kinda mysterious as well." She added with a wink. Joseph chuckled as he thought about it.
"Yeah well you little guy's have thrown me for a loop on more than one occasion." Dash laughed.
"Your little show didn't mention me being a grade A genius did it?" She smirked as Joseph rolled his eyes with a smirk.
"Oh yeah, that really took me for a spin." He said as he decided to counter her rebuff.
"Really sexy there Dash." He stated causing Dash to flush and begin to fidget.
"You have the whole package, brain's, brawn, and beauty." He winked as she gave him a look of shock. She blushed and tried to hide her face with her hair.
"Oh come on it's not that impressive." She stated causing Soren to laugh.
"I beg to differ Dash." He thought about it.
"I can only remember a few mares who were willing to go through the length's you were to get were you are now." He chuckled as Dash gave up and laid her head on the table.
"Come on you two aren't going to gang up on a mare are you?" She tried to do her pitty face but it ended up aking the male's laugh and finally, she huffed and folded her hooves.
"You two are not allowed to become friend's." She stated as the two male's shook hand's. Joseph and Soren shared a smile.
"Don't worry Dash we'll give a fighting chance," Soren said as he got up and stretched.
"Beside's its about time for me to get back to the compound." He joked as he turned to the two.
"Dash it was great to see you again and catch up." He then turned to Joseph.
"And it was great to finally meet you after all the talk up at flight school." He gave Dash a wink to which she just blushed and stood her ground. Joseph nodded.
"Likewise." He said as Soren gave a nod and trotted out the door. Joseph turned to Dash and smirked.
"So." He nodded to the doorway. "You and Soren huh?" He wiggled his eyebrows. Dash laughed and gave him a slap with her wing.
"Yeah, no thanks." She said as the two stood there.
"So what time are you off today?" Dash asked feeling giddy. Joseph thought about it.
"Started this mourning at 8, and I get off at." He looked at the clock.
"In about half an hour." He gave Dash a curious look.
"Why you ask?" He smirked. Dash didn't flinch. She smirked as well.
"Because I need someone to help me out with my routine." She stated as she ruffled her feathers. Joseph smirked.
"And here I thought you wanted to spend time with me." He pouted as Dash snickered. She then brushed his leg with her flank.
"Hey, you get a front row seat to this." She struck a sexy pose causing Joseph to sputter as he tried to avert his gaze. Dash just laughed.
"So consider yourself lucky." She winked as she trotted out the door. Joseph stood there.
"Why does she have to be so damn sexy." He sighed as he went back to work. By now he wasn't even opposed to the thought of thinking a pony was sexy. He'd lived here long enough to know what he found attractive. Problem was that Dash oozed everything he could think of.
"Why can't life just be simple." He went back to the front counter taking ponies order's as the day wore on.
At half-past 2 on the dot, Ms. Cake came down the stair's to let Joseph know he was free to go.
"Go on dear don't keep your friend waiting." Her eye twinkled as her face lit up with a mirthful smile. Joseph didn't catch her drift and smiled back.
"Thank's Ms. cake. See you later." He said as he stopped by the kitchen.
"See you Pinkie!" He called out as the pink one popped up from behind the baking table waving.
"See you later Joe." She called out as she hopped about the kitchen more than likely doing ten different things at once. Joseph shook his head.
"Never change pinkie." He smirked as he opened the door and walked down the road to the outskirts of Ponyville. A little while later saw Joseph standing underneath the house of one Rainbow Dash. Taking his hands and cupping them,
"Hey Rainbow!" Joseph stood there looking up at the house for a little while. Soon a head poked out of a window, followed by a frantic hoof waving. Dash came out of her home and starred down at the ground below.
"Hey there furless!" she shouted hearing a rowdy laughter come to her ear's.
"Well Dash I'm here now," Joseph shouted back. Dash smirked then took a step off of her cloud home and plummeted to the earth below. Joseph watched as Dash fell through the air. As she did so Dash kept track of how far above the ground she was. The second before she hit ten feet her wing's flared open halting her downward momentum as she gave a mighty wingbeat forward. Now she propelled herself along the ground rapidly gaining speed and heading toward's Joseph who stood there, a grin plastered on his face.
He'd seen her do this trick a few time's at one of the air show's and so knew to stay perfectly still, which took all of his willpower. As Dash zoomed straight for him she flapped her wing's propelling her body into an aileron roll going around Joseph who whipped his head around as she did so.
"Yeah!" He whooped as she reoriented herself and climbed into the air for her next trick. For the next few hours Joseph watched and cheered Dash on as she practiced for her next performance. After her normal routine of roll's, spin's and loop's she then went into experimental territory seeing what she could pull off and what she could leave for later. All the while Joseph stood there admiring her and she, him.
"Ok let's go for the grand finish." She thought as she climbed into the air for the last bit of her show. Joseph saw her become nothing but a speck in the sky from his vantage point on the ground. Then with the thunderous roar of air being moved at sonic speed's Dash came crashing down to the earth. As she reached Mach speed's she leveled herself off and began to zoom across the sky. Suddenly her contrail began to shoot off spark's as she reached her peak.
With one final flap of her wing's, she entered hypersonic velocity's as her magic allowed her to break not only the sound barrier but the visible light spectrum as well. Joseph was still impressed with her sonic rainboom no matter how many time's he saw it.
"Wow." He smiled as Dash flew by still trailing her signature rainbow contrail that was now engulfed in lightning that crackled overhead as she passed. She continued to trail her lighting around and soon Joseph saw that she was beginning to run out of steam. Using what little energy she had left Rainbow began to spiral in a circle until her contrail dissipated in a flash of rainbow color leaving Dash to slowly glide down to the ground. She angled her landing to just in front of Joseph who stood there looking as impressed as ever.
"So what do you think?" Dash asked as a cocky grin adorned her muzzle.
"Well Dash all I can say is that I'm glad a bought ticket's to your show this weekend." He said as Dash stood there her face going red.
"Is it really that good?" She asked in a rare moment of self-dought. Joseph smiled and nodded.
"The fan's are going to love every second of it Dash." He gave her a thumbs up. Dash just smirked and trotted over to him giving him a hug.
"Awesome!" Dash said smothering Joseph in her sweaty embrace. Joseph just laughed as he reciprocated the jester. This had become so routine now that he didn't feel anywhere near as bothered by being covered in pony sweat as he once was. Dash released Joseph just as a shadow flew overhead. The two looked up and spotted the last pony they wanted to see.
"Just what are you doing here?" Dash demanded as Hotshot landed in front of the two. He gave them a sheepish look and bowed his head in submitance.
"Sorry for barging in you two." He briefly glanced at Joseph and gave him a soft smile. Joseph didn't return it but he didn't scowl at him either. So Hotshot trotted up to the two and stopped in front of Dash who took the initiative this time.
"Look if it's about the gym then we can take this to the royal sister's." Dash threatened to which Hotshot vigorously shook his head.
"No, no Dash please I just want to apologize!" He blurted out taking the two friends by surprise. They were too shocked to speak so Hotshot continued.
"Look I've been out of town lately." He said rubbing the back of his head.
"Seeing a psychiatrist. Getting some medication." He sighed.
"The works." He stated as he fidgeted in place.
"Look Dash I really want us to be friend's again and if that's not an option then at the very least I want to be able to come and see your show's." He added in an almost pleading voice. Dash stood there looking at the almost reck of a stallion in front of her. Sure he looked meticulously groomed and well kept but on the inside, she could only imagine what he was feeling. She sighed hoping she wouldn't regret her choice.
"Look Hotshot." upon hearing his name his head shot up and he was trained onto her like a hunting dog. It unnerved her to see the strange glint in his eye's but she continued.
"I can't go the rest of my life hating you for something that happened way back in high school ok." She stated as Joseph listened in.
"So here's what I'm going to do." She said holding up a hoof to stop his mouth from spouting anything.
"I'm going to let you come to my show this weekend," she stated causing Hotshot to skip a beat as his heart raced.
"But there's not going to be anything to draw any unwanted to you, me, my friends or anything else out of the ordinary." She gave him a stern look.
"Are we clear?" She asked sealing the deal. Hotshot was ecstatic as he hopped to his hooves and began to dance a little jig.
"Yes!" He jumped into the air and was immediately brought down to earth my a cleared throat.
"Are we clear?" Dash repeated. Hotshot chuckled as he floated back down to the ground.
"Uh, huh, huh, um I mean yes. Dash yes we're clear." Hotshot upon getting more control of his faculty's tried to give Dash a hug to which she sidestepped and instead gave his hoof a shake. He awkwardly began to flap his wing's and took off to the cloud district.
"Don't know if that was a good idea or not," Dash muttered to herself. Joseph stood there feeling proud.
"Well, Dash I think you made his day." He said giving her a smirk. That earned him a swat in the ass from her tail and a smug grin on her face.
"Yeah, we'll see who make's yours when we get back to the castle." She stated as Joseph paused and then smacked himself.
"Of course that's what I forgot!" He said taking off toward's the castle. Dash zoomed off after him. Back in the cloud distract Hotshot was hard at work using his sweat-stained hoof for some vigorous masturbation.
"Yes dash just like that!" He yelled into his pillow as he coated himself in his hot sticky essence. Coming off of his high he mumbled incoherently to himself as he thought of what his therapist had said.
"I have the power to change my fate." He said as he rummaged through a drawer and found a picture of Dash.
"Soon we'll be together forever." He smiled as his plan came to fruition.

Act II, Chapter 17: I'm Only Human.
June 4, 1002.
"Are you sure this is ok?" Aion asked as he trotted throughout the hall's with Hotshot as the two made their way over to the east wing.
"Of course I'm sure." He said flashing Aion a smile as they came to their destination.
"Where are we?" Aion Asked as Hotshot chuckled cooly.
"Oh were in a special place." He opened the door to the room
"Welcome to the Star Swirl The Bearded Wing." Hotshot chuckled as he ushered Aion into the room. Aion was very visibly nervous now.
"What are we doing here?" He hesitantly asked. Not receiving an answer he looked over the center of the room where Hotshot stood stock still looking into the hourglass that adorned the table in the center of the room.
"Oh, it's beautiful," Hotshot muttered as he raised a hoof to the glass surface. Aion mustered up his courage and scooted forward.
"What is?" He asked as Hotshot gave him a sadistic grin.
"The future." He said before starring into the glass once more.
Earlier on The Friendship Express.
"Can you tell me why it can't work out between you and some mare?" Dash asked as she the other's and Joseph made their way to Canterlot via train. Joseph sighed as he twiddled his finger's. Right now thankfully the other's were in the dining car while Dash tried to have a talk with Joseph.
"Look Dash I think my track record has proven that I'm just not meant to find somepony right now." He stated causing Dash to frown. Joseph looked out the window avoiding Dash's gaze.
"Oh come on there has to be more to it than that?" She asked knowing that there was more to it than his track record. If the way he was acting now was any indication. She sighed as Joseph just stonewalled.
"Fine you aren't willing to open up to me your best friend about what's been bugging you then I'll just wait until you do." She made to leave for the dining car but smirked as she caught Joseph staring at her on the way out. As quick as she could she spun around and hurled herself at Joseph landing on his chest and throwing them both back onto his bed.
"Wow! Dash?" Joseph shouted in surprise. Dash just shushed him as she used her fore and back hoove's as well as her wing's to pin him to his bed. He struggled for a little while until Dash tapped him on his chest.
"Now listen up. We're not going to move from this spot until you tell me what's been eating up at you the past few weeks." She said commanding his attention. Joseph thought about it. Finally, he admitted defeat after he found himself having to go pee.
"Ok fine." He sighed as he relaxed and let himself get lost in the warmth of having another being on top of him. good thing he said something to because Dash was starting to have second thought's.
"Is it really that bad?" She asked as Joseph sucked in a breath to calm himself down. He looked Daah in the eye and then looked out of shame.
"Look Dash you know that I've been trying to find somepony to go to the Gala with right?" He asked as Dash remembered the Ticket's they received last month.
"Yeah of course." She rested her head on his chest hearing his heart racing. She gave him a concerned look.
"Hey if this is that bad then say so." She made to move but was stopped when Joseph held a hand to her hoof.
"Don't Dash. It's high time I get this off my chest or else it's going to consume me." He stated as Dash settled back down.
"Well Dash if we want to find out the root of my issue we have to go back to high school," He smirked.
"It all started in the tenth grade." He started as Dash listened.
A Little While Later.
"So you both ended up moving away and losing touch?" Dash asked causing Joseph to nod.
"That's so stupid!" Dash flared her wing's.
"I mean come on if your people have all that tech then you guy's should have been just fine." She stated as she settled down a little.
"I mean what happened?" She asked out of frustration. Joseph shrugged.
"I honestly don't know. We were really close, hell she was my first kiss." He stated as he remembered it like it was yesterday.
"Granted we never got any further than that but still. I thought we were close." He sighed.
"I guess I was wrong." He chuckled.
"We talked and tried to hang out but the spark we had was gone." He sniffed as he held in his tear's.
"We just drifted apart both literally and figuratively." He tried to sit up but Dash was to pissed off to care.
"So you take her on a few date's hell you both even kiss on multiple occasions and that's all swept under the rug when you move?" She snarled.
"She'd better hope that I don't find a way to your world." She scowled. Joseph tried to calm her down.
"Look Dash I just don't have the best of luck when it come's to women ok." He smirked as he tried to crack a joke.
"It's fine." He stated as he finally got Dash off of him. She sat down on his bed and still looked pissed.
"No, it's not," Dash said causing Joseph to give her a smile. He extended a hand and began to rub her head.
"Don't worry about it Dash. I'm fine." He stated causing Dash to whip her head to him.
"Bullshit!" she cursed as she brought a hoof to his chest.
"I just don't get it?" She looked into his eyes. They were full of sadness and fear.
"You are such a cool guy." She said causing Joseph to blush as Dash chuckled leaning closer into him until she was once again laying on top of him.
"Dash?" He asked feeling very uncomfortable now. She just gave him a prod.
"Why do you really have issue's with mares?" She asked. Joseph felt his mental walls shattering. He looked into Dash's eyes and found they were full of concern and anger?
"I just don't find them all that attractive." He lied as Dash gave him a look of confusion.
"Jeez, I didn't pick you for being a shallow dude." She joked as Joseph burst out laughing.
"Dash I told you once I can't tell when a mare is attractive and when one isn't." He stated causing Dash to snicker.
"And yet you still have standards apparently." She said as she wiggled her rear trying to get more comfortable using Joseph as her own personal body pillow. This didn't go over with Joseph's body which began to react on instinct as Dash's body curved over his own.
"Uh, Dash do you think we could go see what the others are up to?" He pleaded trying to get his mind out of the gutter. She just smirked and wiggle a bit more.
"Why?" She giggled.
"Does this turn you on?" She asked as Joseph was losing the battle with his body. He struggled to get his mind back on track as Dash continued to mercilessly tease him. Finally, she stopped and settled down.
"So what do you want to do about this?" She asked as Joseph caught his breath.

"Hey Rainbow Dash!" She stumbled back as Pinkie came into focus.
"Wow Pinkie!" She looked around the mare to see the door slide closed. She shoved Pinkie out of the way.
"Can't talk right now Pink's gotta save a friendship!" She said as Pinkie gave her a curious look.
"Saving a friendship huh?" Pinkie smiled as she bounced off to the others.
Joseph sighed as he brushed away stray tear's that dripped down his face.
"Why do I have to be such an idiot!" He scolded himself as he sat on the caboose of the train starring at the tracks as they flew past.
"How easy would it be to just jump?" He wondered as he got to his feet and looked at the railing. Putting a hand on it he gave the train car one last look.
"Well, It was fun while it lasted." Said as he thought about jumping off. That split second was all Dash needed.
"NO!" The scream came from in front of him.
"What?" Was all he got out before he was tackled to the cold hard metal floor of the caboose.
"What the hell?" He wheezed as he looked around while trying to catch his breath which came in short burst of pain.
"What the hell were you thinking?" Dash screamed as she stood over him her own face stained with tears. Joseph looked at Dash and frowned.
"Why'ed you save me?" He wheezed causing Dash to give him a look of horror.
"You think I would just let one of my best friend's commit suicide, after all, we've been through?" There it was. She hadn't noticed it before but now that his guard was down she saw it. A flick of emotion when she'd said, friend.
"Was that it?" She thought as she continued to look into his hazel eye's. Eyes full of pain and longing. Eyes that were now brimming with tear's while they gave her the saddest look they could muster.
"Dash please just let me go." He mumbled as he tried to get up. Dash put a hoof to his chest.
"No!" She glared at him.
"You're not running away this time." She ordered.
"You're going to tell me what's wrong. Now!" She was prepared for just about anything. Anything but the rapid switch from sadness to anger that accompanied her request.
"You want to know why I'm so sick of life that I want to kill myself?" He said as he used his anger-induced strength to try and pry himself from the floor. Dash had to back off of him as he got to his feet and rounded on her.
"You want to know why I feel like my life is crumbling all around me?" He asked as he stalked towards her, all the while Dash continued to back up.
"Hey, there buddy calm down." She said trying to defuse the situation. Her pleas fell on willing ear's as Joseph stopped and thought about his last statement. He then fell to his knee's and wept.
"You want to know why a worthless loser like me want's to just end it all?" He asked as he slumped to the floor. Dash took the opportunity to trot over to him and gently sat down next to him.
"Hey, it's ok. Alright? I'm here so just let it all out." she stated as she began to pat him on the shoulder while surrounding him in a warm cocoon of feathers. Joseph sniffed and chortled.
"You see Dash that's the thing about me." He stated as he gave her a sad smile.
"This right here is one thing I can't stand." His statement caught Dash off guard.
"What! Why?" She asked. Joseph smiled once more marred by sadness.
"Is this done as one friend pitying another or is there more to this than I think?" He asked cryptically. Dash was a smart cookie and it didn't take her long to see the other side of his argument.
"Is this the friend side of me or the side that care's as more than a friend?" She asked getting a nod form Joseph who sat there quietly. She sighed as she thought about this whole thing. Finally, she chuckled as she wrapped her hoove's around Joseph's neck.
"So you have a crush on good old Dash huh?" She asked eliciting a laugh from Joseph who hugged her tighter.
"I would say it's more than a crush Dash but still It really doesn't matter." He got a slap for that.
"Stop saying that!" Dash shouted as she held him at hooves length. She gave him a stern look.
"Your problem's matter just as much to me as they do to you and the rest of us." She said as wrapped him in a hug once more.
"Shoot why do I have to attract the crazy ones?" Dash said once again causing Joseph to laugh.
"I don't know Dash it could be your can-do attitude." He chuckled as they sat there huddled next to one another.
"So why didn't you just tell me?" She asked causing Joseph to sigh.
"Dash look at me?" He said causing Dash to give him a cursory inspection.
"Ok, what am I supposed to see?" She asked. Joseph smirked.
"That's just it Dash. Me. A human being." He said as realization sunk in for Dash. Her muzzle scrunched up.
"So what?" She barked. Joseph paused.
"Don't you think it would be selfish of me to want you to be with me?" He asked as he began to feel like even more of an idiot. She just laughed.
"Of course not you dope." She nuzzled his forehead with her own. Still holding each other and now starring into each other's eye's the two gave each other a smile.
"So what else was stopping you?" She asked. Joseph just chuckled.
"Well I don't know if you noticed but my dick will never be able to compare to the average stallion." He pointed out what he thought would be a deal breaker for sure. Instead, Dash just laughed.
"Haven't you ever heard of it not being the size that count's?" She asked as Joseph blushed and stammered.
"But-but-how?" He said as Dash just laughed and silenced his stammering with a kiss. This time it was a genuine heart filled one. Not one to start his heart or give him air or even repair his body. This was a simple plain kiss of affection straight from the heart. It lasted for only a few seconds but felt like a lifetime.
"How that for an answer you dork?" Dash said as Joseph came back to Equestria.
"Wow." Was all he could say. Dash just laughed as the door on the other side opened causing the two to stumble over the other while trying to get up only to end up even more tangled with one another. Rarity came up to the two a smirk on her muzzle.
"Finally I thought you'd two would never get this going!" She exclaimed as the other's all stood there. Fluttershy came from the group and sniffed the air. Her eyes went red as she transformed.
"Rainbow Dash what did you do to him?" She screamed as she went after the pegasus. Her path was blocked however by Joseph shielding Dash with his body.
"Wow! Calm down mama bear!" He said causing Fluttershy to halt in her tracks.
"But what happened?" She asked as the other's all looked at her with some degree of fear. Joseph just chuckled.
"It was just me being stupid Fluttershy." He said earning a nuzzle from Dash who leaned into his chest. He just chuckled as Fluttershy looked one to the other.
"So Dash didn't break your heart?" She asked wanting to be perfectly clear. Joseph shook his head.
"Nope just this dumbass jumping to conclusions." He said pointing to himself. The other's just sat there until the whistle blew and a voice came over the intercoms.
"All aboard we will be arriving in Canterlot in 5 minute's." the voice repeated several more time's before it cut out leaving the whole train in silence. This silence was broken by Pinkie.
"This mean's I get to throw you both a getting together party!" she said jumping into the air. Joseph just cringed.
"Oh god no!" He said dramatically falling to the floor and weeping. The other all got a laugh out of this. As they made there way back to the sleeping car to retrieve there thing's Dash and Joseph held back.
"So are you sure you're ok with this?" Joseph pointed to himself. Dash rolled her eye's.
"You could be a shaved diamond dog and I could care less." She said rearing up on her hind leg's and giving him a peck on the cheek. Then she got in real close and whispered.
"Beside's just between you and me I've been dying to see how well you are in the sack." She then licked his ear causing him to shudder as he tried to hide his fierce blush. This got Dash to laugh her flank off as they went to there respective room's and collected there thing's. All the while their exchange went by being noticed by a single yellow pegasus who was shaking with fury.
"That son of a bitch!" He muttered as he flew to the front of the train.
"He'll be sorry when I get through with him," Hotshot growled as his hooves erupted in flames.

Act II, Chapter 18: Canterlot Await's.
June 4, 1002.
The group of ponies and one human, made their way to the Equestrian Capital via stagecoach and arrived just as the sun began to set over the still bustling city. The group all chatted amongst themselves about anything and everything. Of course, Rarity had a lot to talk about on a particular subject.
"So Dash darling." She batted her eye's and rangled over the blue pegasus who hadn't left Joseph's side the whole way there. She frowned at the sudden feeling and gave Rarity a small scowl.
"Yes?" Dash asked as Rarity snickered.
"So now that you two," She waved over to Joseph who smiled meekly. "Are together what do you plan on doing?" She prodded Dash for juicy detail's as she just sat there and rolled her eye's.
"Well, Rarity if you just have to know." She looked over at Joseph and smiled.
"We were planning on taking it slow." She stated causing Rarity to smirk.
"Oh so a little whining and dining before you seal the deal as it were?" She winked causing both Dash and Joseph to blush all the while the other's snickered. Joseph scooped Dash away from Rarity and held her close.
"Well, we thought it would be best to get to know one another on a deeper level is all." Dash looked up at him and smiled.
"Yeah you know do what other normal couple's do. Test the water's first." She added as she wiggled into Joseph's chest getting comfy. Rarity giggled.
"You two seem to have that down already." Dash blushed as she snuggled closer to Joseph's chest who simply sat there letting her do her own thing while he thought about what his life had come to in just a few short months.
"Is this really happening?" He mentally sighed then looked down at the figure of Dash as she curled up in his lap and began to snooze. She took up his lap and half of his seat but he didn't care. All's he cared about at this moment in time was seeing Dash with that smile she now wore on her muzzle. He burned that image into his brain and smiled as he thought about how he had come to be here.
"I wonder what Aion is up to?" He thought about the now not so little colt. He thought it strange how the little guy seemed to be aging rapidly but the princess's had assured him it was to stop on a few weeks.
"Hope he can hang out today." He gazed out into the city as the night overtook the dwindling day. All the while their carriage was being watched by the eagle-eyed members of the royal guard and one set of malevolent intent.
6:01 P.M.
The waning sunlight poked one last sliver of its life giving essence into the passenger window of the carriage, that the group had been in for the past fifteen minute's, and hit Joseph square in his now opened and blinded eye.
"Gah." He exclaimed as he fought his kneejerk reaction to lash out, remembering that he wasn't the only occupant in the vehicle. A flow of chuckle's met his ear's and he cracked a smile.
"Thank you all. I'll be here all week." He quipped as he rubbed his now teary eye in an effort to get it back to normal. Dash was roused from her restful sleep as Joseph gave her a look of remorse.
"Sorry for waking you Dashy." He said as he ran his hand over her now arched back. She yawned and nuzzled his chest as he ran his hand down her back eliciting a small squeak of satisfaction as his hand bumped into the base of her wing joint causing her to flare them open briefly. She smirked as she folded them back and sat back down in his lap.
"Were in public you know." She chuckled as he blushed, sweeping a hoof across his face.
"But hey if you don't mind an audience." Her eye's lit up.
"We could alway's." She leaned in close and began to whisper into his ear. Joseph's face lit up as Dash laughed her flank off at his ease of being teased. Rarity rolled her eye's.
"Stop teasing the poor dear Dash." She looked out the window for a second spotting the tower's of the castle not far off in the distance.
"Were almost at the castle." She stomped a hoof as Dash settled down next to Joseph and laid her head down in his lap. He was still steaming from Dash's tease but he put on a brave face and chuckled.
"Wow, Dash do you truly know no bound's?" He grinned as she now rolled her eye's and with a grin waved a hoof about.
"Pfft as if." She poked him in the chest with a wing.
"You forget who you're talking to?" She rolled over in order to look him in the eyes. His hand that once rubbed her back was now rubbing her belly. She purred as she continued her lecture.
"I'm the Rainbow Dash, the fastest mare in Equestria. The first pegasus in over a thousand year's to perform a Sonic Rainboom." She grinned as she looked at Joseph.
"And the first mare to ever date an alien." She leaned her head into Josephs' chest as she brought a hoof to his face. He smiled as they both stared into each other's eyes.
"Ahem!" The group all looked to Rarity who nodded out the window.
"It would appear friends that we have arrived." As the carriage came to a stop they all departed leaving Joseph to step out last. He looked at the sight with reverence and awe.
"Wow! Seeing this place up close is so much better than seeing hang from the side of the mountain." A nudge to his leg got him to move and Dash snickered as she took his hand and guided him along like a little foal.
"Come on big guy, this way." She cooed at him like a mother would her child. He didn't notice, he just followed along.
Meanwhile in the Castle.
Hotshot and Aion trotted down the corridor in silence. Hotshot lost in his own little world with a sadistic grin upon his face, while Aion was lost in all that he had learned in the Star Swirl wing of the castle.
"What does all of this mean?" His mind raced to try and find answers but he came up empty at every turn.
"Maybe Celestia will know what to do?" Just then he was flung against a pillar and held there by Hotshot's foreleg.
"Don't tell another soul about this!" He warned in a hushed tone, his eye's briefly flashing a light sky blue before going back to there usual crimson. Aion nodded rapidly and took in a lungful of sweet air as he watched Hotshot trot off down the corridor muttering to himself.
"The hell was that?" Aion gasped as he sat there contemplating just what he had gotten himself into.
6:07 P.M.
The group of friends had made it to the main hall and they were sitting in the foyer waiting for the last meeting to be done. Twilight being her usual self was pacing the entire time.
"Don't panic. It's probably nothing!" She looked around her surrounding's rapidly assessing the hall the found themselves in.
"Its fine just a little late night paperwork." She muttered to herself causing the others to either role there eye's in mild annoyance or chuckle in amusement. A blue aura stopped Twilight mid pace and she looked around.
"Twilight dear, at this rate you'll pace a hole on the floor." Rarity said as she lifted Twilight into the air and set her down on a bench with the rest of them. She then brought a brush from out of her saddlebags. She then ran it through Twilight's slightly frazzled mane until it was straightened out again as Twilight did her breathing exercises to calm herself down. Cadance's breathing techniques combined with Rarity's hair ministrations did the trick in calming the princess down.
"Ok. Thank you Rarity." Twilight smiled as Rarity waved a hoof.
"Oh, it was nothing dear." She said as she put her brush away. The group was pleasantly surprised to see Spike come out of the throne room and shut the door with the greatest of ease. He looked over at the group and smiled.
"The Royal Sister's will see you all now." He announced as he opened the door and bowed as they all trotted past. Rarity held back as Spike came in after them and pecked him on the cheek.
"Such a gental drake Spike." She fluttered her eye's as Spike blushed and the two ran to catch up with the others. When they all came up to the step's to the diearchial throne the group all bowed.
"Princess Celestia, Princess Luna," Twilight announced as they all stayed down. The royal sister's chuckled.
"Rise our little pony's," Luna instructed. The group all did as they were told and they were met with the two sister's standing from there throne's and trotting down to the bottom to be with there subjects.
"Princess Twilight," Celestia said as she and her sister both bowed to there equal stationed in Ponyville. Twilight flushed at the attention but she quickly went rigid as she looked to see her friends joining in as well.
"Not you all too." She moaned as they all giggled at her expense.
"Lighten up a little Twi." Dash stated as they all rose and the royal sister's sent their regalia off to there chambers in a poof of magic. Celestia and Luna let out a collective sigh as they stretched there body's out filling the room with a chorus of pops and crackles.
"Ah tis much better," Luna exclaimed as her horn shimmered. Soon the group was in the royal kitchens scarring the living daylights out of the castle staff inside. There was a dizzying array of shouting and rushing of hooves as they all scrambled to get themselves presentable. Celestia sat back watching this all unfold with a smirk on her muzzle. When all was said and done the whole kitchen crew was present and accounted for. Celestia cleared her throat.
"My dear little ponies let us all settle down." She stated in a motherly tone.
"We all are here to simply rest and relax after a rather long day at the office." She chuckled even getting a few of the staff to cackle along with her. She smiled.
"Now let us all enjoy a well earned meal and enjoy the good company of friends." She stated as she sat down. When the staff didn't budge she rolled her eye's.
"As you all were." She ordered. All at once the tense atmosphere melted away and the staff went back to there own business. Meanwhile, Joseph had taken it upon himself to procure a set of tables for their little group. He and Spike set up a row of them big enough to accommodate their little group plus a few more should anypony else arrive. As the girl's all came over the two male's got there seat's for them.
"Why thank you," Fluttershy said as she was seated. The other's all expressed their gratitude as they were all seated and finally Joseph and Spike set themselves down next to there perspective partner's. Spike received yet another kiss on his cheek and blushed as Rarity nuzzled it. The whole table snickered at this and soon the friend's were alive with chatter.
"So fare Fluttershy how does the conquest of our mutual friend Discord go?" Luna asked as Fluttershy blushed but held her head high.
"It goes well Luna," she said as she took a sip of tea provided by Celestia via her magic. Luna giggled.
"Ah, the courting ritual's have changed much since our last foray's into the life of love." She said as she remembered fondly her own courtship. Fluttershy giggled.
"Speaking of courtship." She nodded to Dash who was now leaning into Joseph's shoulder much to his own embarrassment. Luna quickly put two and two together.
"Huzzah!" Luna shouted causing the whole table to jump.
"Dear sister, what has gotten into you?" Celestia asked as she wiped tea from her coat with a cloth. Luna pointed to Joseph.
"It would seem that our resident human has chosen to plant his seed." Joseph blushed madly and tried to hide his face. Celestia looked at Joseph and then noticed Dash subconsciously trying to shield him with her wings. She smirked and with all the ease of a practiced troll asked a single question.
"So how are you in the sack Joseph?"

Prologue: A Normal Day On Earth, A Night In Equestria.
March 3, 2018.
"Hello Welcome to McDonald's!." I asked the umpteenth customer for the last time today. "How may I take your order today?" At this point, I just went through the motions. "Please god let me be able to get off on time." I glanced at the small clock on the top right corner of my computer screen. As I finished the order and hit the 'Serve' button I let out a sigh of relief. "3 minutes left. Yes!" I did a jig in my head as I took the customer's money, hit a few keys on the screen and handed her the change from her twenty dollar bill.
"Have a nice night!" I said as she pulled off down the drive-through. I gave out a small sigh and went over to the office which was little more than a hole in the wall.
"Hey, Carlos I'm off." I waved as I went over to the sign out machine. Placing my thumb on the fingerprint pad I was rewarded with a little slip of paper. "Enter Time, 1:00 P.M. Exit Time, 5:00 P.M." He gave me a nod. "Ok see you bright and early tomorrow." He said as he skimmed through the schedule. "Don't remind me." I internally grumbled but gave him a thumbs up.
"Yup. See ya later!" I gave him a wave as I turned around walked through the kitchen and headed out the door to the parking lot.
5:17 P.M.
"Mom! I'm home!" I grumbled as I close the front door behind me.
"How was work?" I gave out a soft sigh. "It was good. Had a bit of a slow start but it went well." My mom came out of the kitchen and gave me a soft smile.
"Anything else happen?" She asked. I gave her a look of confusion. "Like?" She smiled. "I don't know. Half the time you come home with some tale of a customer who tried to grab a meal for free or one who was a complete jerk at the drive-thru." She said heading back into the kitchen. I just smiled.
"No nothing like that," I said as I went over to my little couch and laid down. "Today was pretty normal all things considered," I said as I took off my hat and set it down on the arm of the couch. I dozed off for a little bit and then went to my room to change out of the rest of my work clothes.
10 minutes later.
"Ok. Let's see what I have to do today." I said as I popped in Mass Effect: Andromeda. "Don't know why so many people gave this game so much shit." I hit x as the title screen came into view. "Sure it had a rocky start but it's come along way since then." I sat there and played through several side quest's and main story mission's until six o'clock rolled around.
"Ok time to clean the kitchen and then get some writing done." I hit the power button and set my controller down. I then went on ahead and got my kitchen done.
10:27 P.M.
"Ok Let's see. The second Chapter is almost complete." I looked at it. "Only 2,102 words but that's a-ok with me." I saved my progress and closed my laptop. "Ahh, gawd." I yawned as I set my PC down on my nightstand and then began to change my clothes for bed.
"Another day another dollar." I snorted in disgust. "I hate this world's obsession with money."
Later that night.
"Joseph!"
Joseph twisted a little.
"Joseph!" Then he turned.
"Wake Up!" He shot up as he looked around for the strange voice. "What the hell was that?" He said frantically searching his room.
"Oh god, I hate those dreams." He stated as he shook his head to clear the cobwebs. He looked over that the clock on his nightstand.
"Pfft great!" He said angrily at the voice that woke him up at such an hour. "3:37. Just fan fucking tastic." He grumbled as he tried to fall asleep once more. Once he got comfortable he sighed and looked out his window as he lay there.
"Why can't my life be exciting?" He asked himself. He thought about all the fantasy books and movies out there.
"Man if I could I would love to go to one of those worlds." He sighed losing himself in his fantasy as he drifted off to sleep not noticing the dark clouds that began to culminate around his house.
March 4, 1002
6:40 A.M.
Nurse Redheart was ecstatic. "20 minutes then I can go home to a nice hot shower," She moaned at the thought of taking a nice hot relaxing- Here thoughts were interrupted as a pony burst through the door's of the hospital looking like Tartarus was on his heel's.
"Nurse!" He screamed looking around for anypony that could help. Redheart shot around her desk and ran to the stallion's aid.
"Swift?" She trotted up wrapping him in a soft hug, "What's wrong dear?" She asked as the stallion sat down shivering. He frantically looked around as if he expected the room to come alive.
"Out there!" He pointed to the door. "The forest! It's angry!" He said as he began to cry and shiver even more. The nurse looked out the doors.
"What do you mean?" She asked rubbing his back to calm him down. He began to stutter. "I was out l-l-looking for some firewood--stupid--so st--st--stupid." He babbled but continued. "T-then i-i-i-saw--IT!" He shouted springing to his hooves nearly throwing the nurse off of him. He stood there looking like had seen a ghost, which Nurse Redheart was seriously considering as a very real possibility at this point.
"Shhh! Shh. It's ok. It can't get you in here." She said trying to sooth Swift's nerves. It worked a little bit. "Now tell me what you saw." She asked as he calmed down once more.
"Not it." "What was that?" "It's not an it." He repeated a little louder, "A him." He said as he slowly began to tremble once more. "He's here!" He said as he once more broke down into hysterics. Nurse Redheart gave Swift a pat on the back.
"There there. Let's get you a nice warm bed." She said as she began to lead Swift to an unoccupied room of his own. Once he was tucked into bed and sedated Redheart ran to her desk, grabbed a quill and parchment and began to write a letter.
"Dear Princess Twilight,
A citizen of Ponyville barged into the hospital early this mourning-
Castle of Friendship.
Rarity read the letter held aloft in her magic once more just to be sure. "Oh, the poor dear." She said as she passed the letter over to Rainbow Dash.
"So Twilight what's the plan?" She asked as she read it over in no time at all. Twilight looked at all of her friends a determined frown on her face.
"First we need to head over to the hospital and see if Swift can give us a description of what he saw." She looked at her map, "Then we need to head over to the Everfree." She looked at the dark clouds forming over the forest as well as there cutie marks that all swirled around the eye of the storm centered on the old castle. "There's something dark brewing in the old castle." She did not have a good feeling about this.
"We need to get a letter over to The Royal Sisters and Cadance." Rainbow gave her a salute. "Leave it to me Twilight." She zoomed off leaving a gust of air in her wake. Twilight smiled. "Now that that's all settled let's see if we can figure out just what Swift saw." She adjourned the meeting with a strike of her gavel and as the others all trotted out the door she looked back to the map.
"Please." She begged the power's that be. "let this be some kind of fluke." She prayed as she went to go and follow the others.

Act II, Chapter 14: A Rock And A Hard Place.
April 4, 1002.
Joseph pointed to Hotshot.
"You know Dash?" He asked still wondering why he had called her sweetie. Dash meanwhile was not sure how to feel right now.
"Damn it!" She screamed internally. She looked back at Hotshot with the bearest of restrained fury. Hotshot however just smirked.
"Oh yeah." His tongue oozed confidence.
"We go way back her and I." He stated as he stared into her magenta eyes. Dash began to visibly squirm now which didn't go unnoticed by Joseph.
"She's very uncomfortable around him." Thinking fast he cleared his throat.
"Well, It was nice meeting you again." He gave Rainbow a pat on the whither's which snapped her out of her anger induced haze.
"But me and Dash have some work out's too finish." It had the desired effect and then some. Hotshot did a double take, Dash let out a sigh and quickly nodded her head in agreement. The door to the gym opened once more and in stepped Silver Tongue and Swift Wing. Seeing Hotshot starring at Dash, Silver moved in.
"Hey Hotshot buddy what are you doing here?" He asked glaring at the stallion like one would a small child. Hotshot spun around and instantly regretted making this decision.
"O-oh h-hey their guys." He chuckled awkwardly as Silver gave Joseph a nod. He accepted it and he and Dash went off to the other side of the gym.
Later on in the showers.
Joseph was at a loss.
"I don't think I can help her with this." He sighed. As he and Dash got there various workout's done he could see that the sheer sight of Hotshot had infuriated her. She even kept her usual talk's they had while working out short today.
"So how's the little guy doing?" Dash asked as she sat under a shower head letting it wash down her back. Joseph was so preoccupied with his thought's that it took a nudge from a wet hoof to register that Dash had asked him a question.
"Huh? What?" He asked causing Dash to chuckle and grin.
"Finally." She said sitting back down as Joseph joined her on the bench in the showers.
"I was asking you how Aion was doing?" Her question got Joseph to nod.
"Ohh right." He thought about it.
"Ever since Celestia and Luna took him back to Canterlot he's been pretty busy." He said as he took a bar of soap and a towel and began to wash his chest off.
"Thank god I'm part Native American." Dash nodded as she listened still trying to get her mind off of the yellow blunder. Finally, she sighed as she turned the water off and went to go grab a towel. Joseph pulled on his trouser's and grabbed a towel.
"Here." He said scooping up Dash causing her to let out an "eep!" and give him a look of shock.
"What are you doing?" She asked not entirely sure f what to do as Joseph smirked.
"Here goes nothing." He thought as he began to rub off her coat.
"One, I'm drying you off." He said rubbing her side's as he rubbed the towel up and down her body. Dash was heavily blushing right now.
"Oh, but it feel's so good." She laid there sprawled out across Joseph's lap as he continued to rub little circle's around her getting her nice and dry.
"Second, I was wondering if there was any way of helping you out with Hotshot." He was being blunt now not really knowing how to broach the subject to her. She visibly shuddered as she thought back to seeing him earlier. Finally, she sighed and let herself be taken back into a blissful state by Joseph's impromptu massage.
"It's not all that important." She said. Joseph sat there thinking.
"Yes, it is." He staid catching Dash off guard.
"What-" Joseph held up a hand.
"It was important enough to cause you to be extremely uncomfortable around him." He stated as he now worked his way across her wing's, making sure to be extra careful as to not jostle her feather's or cause any undue embarrassment. She unfurled a wing and spoke again.
"You sure you want to hear this?" She asked causing Joseph to stop mid-wipe.
"Yes." He answered not sure of what he was going to get into. Rainbow just sighed.
"Well, It started in high school." She recounted her first meeting with Hotshot.
Back in the main gym.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Silver hissed as he dragged Hotshot outside. Hotshot struggled against Silver's magical grip but once he was released he rounded on Silver, his eye's blazing red.
"Who the hell are you to tell me?" He shouted getting the attention of a few passersby. He saw then and scowled scarring the prying eye's off of him. Silver stood there his eye's boring into Hotshot with a fury.
"You do know this is only going to cause trouble for you right?" He asked as Hotshot stood his ground. Hotshot just stood there not budging an inch. Silver snorted.
"You know what fine. You want to go to jail and have the royal sister's fry your ass fine." He began to trot off.
"Don't come crying to me about it." He stated walking back into the gym. Hotshot took a deep breath to calm himself down.
"Now to find out who's with my mare." He trotted back into the gym as well.
"That stupid monkey better watch himself." He scanned the various machine's not seeing them at all.
"Must be in the shower's." His face didn't know whether to twist into a smirk or a scowl.
"Oh, he better keep his hooves to himself." He said trotting over to the showers.
A little while later Joseph was livid as Dash finished her story.
"So let me get this straight." He said as he got through with his clothes and proceeded to grab his glasses.
"He has the nerve to stand you up at the prom." He got his duffle bag and slung it over his shoulder as Dash joined him at the entrance.
"All the while he's seeing somepony else and once that's all done he come's crawling back trying to act like it never happened." He was paraphrasing of course but that was the jist of the story. Dash nodded as she checked her own saddlebags to see if she had everything.
"Yup." She said as she got through rummaging through her bag.
"That was the first and only time I dated a stallion." She said with some degree of sadness in her voice. Joseph gave her a pat on the head.
"Well, Dash he was an idiot." He stated causing Dash to blush. Joseph laughed.
"I mean it. I've never been on a date before. Hell, no girl would give me the time of day." He stated with some malice edging into his voice. But then he gave her a smirk.
"It's a shame I wasn't born here as a pony." He said as they made there way out the showers. Dash smirked.
"Why?" She asked starting to feel like her old self.
"You think you'd be able to keep up with me?" Dash asked causing Joseph to chuckle.
"You'd leave me in the dust but I would give it my best shot." He staited as they reached the door leading out. Only to both jump back as it swung open and the focus of there anger strode in like he owned the building.
"Well well, what do we have here?" Hotshot asked as his eyes went from blue to orange in a split second. Dash didn't back down this time but Joseph listening to his instinct's put himself between Dash and Hotshot which caused him to huckle.
"Oh, what is the monkey going to throw a banana at me?" He teased as he trotted closer to Joseph. Joseph just glared him with all the anger he could muster even snarling at Hotshot. That got him to pause for a second and Joseph took full advantage of that.
"What the hell are you?" Hotshot asked leaving himself open to Joseph's righteous wrath. Reacting faster than Hotshot thought possible Joseph kicked out his foreleg's from under him sending him stumbling to the ground. Retracking his leg and moving up to the stumbling pegasus Joseph brought a fist down upon his head driving him even further to the ground.
"Gah what the hell?" Hotshot screamed as he laid there trying to curl himself into a ball. Joseph stopped his assault as soon as he heard Hotshot's voice. He then bent down until he was eye level with Hotshot. Hotshot looked at him with trepidation.
"Get this through your thick skull buddy." He pointed to Dash who hadn't moved.
"You and her are done." He raised a fist to Hotshot's face.
"Got it?" He said as Hotshot began to rapidly nod his head in understanding.
"Y-y-ye-ah sure what ever you say!" He said as he scrambled to his hooves and still a little disoriented from his beating he limped out the door and into the gym. As Joseph got up and walked over to Dash she gave him a look of pure bewilderment.
"Did he- and you just- how? What?" She stammered as Joseph gave her a flick on the snout causing her to flinch and regain her scene's.
"I took a little bit of Ti-Kwon-Do as a kid and then just scraped together whatever else I could learn." He said as he pushed his glasses back up to the bridge of his nose and grabbed his bag from the floor. Dash stood there a moment admiring her one and only human friend.
"Remind me to never make you angry," She stated causing Joseph to chuckle.
"I just got lucky there Dash." He stated as they went to the counter, paid for there time and left.
"If that had been a fair fight I would be a stain on the floor right now." He said rubbing the back of his neck.
"In fact, the only way I could even remotely even the odd's was if I had a sword." He stated causing Dash to give him a look of admiration.
"Wow, dude you were a soldier?" She asked causing Joseph to burst out laughing.
"What?" She asked as Joseph got his laughter under control.
"No Dash I am not a soldier by any mean's." He said which in turn lead to Dash giving him a confused look.
"Ah and thus I remember where it is that I am." He stated thinking of how to explain this.
"Ok let's see. Back in my world, we don't use swords shields and armor anymore. At least not like here." He then began to explain how his world evolved without magic and how one of those advancements lead to the death of most forms of combat that had been around for the last few thousand years.
"Wow. If we had those gun's we'd be in trouble." Dash said shuddering at the thought of not being able to see the pony that killed you all because they could do so from the safety of having a mile of room between you and them. Joseph just sighed.
"Don't worry Dash. I can guarantee you that I won't tell any of you how to make these weapons. There far too dangerous for my race and I won't be the one to introduce your realm to them." He stated giving Dash some small relief. She then went back to the original topic.
