The group of ponies continued their venture into the enemy lines.

"Shouldn't we be going back to base?" Sunblane said, feeling extremely paranoid.

"We never leave any one behind. That includes the rest of Mane 6 and Nimble Tail." Midnight replied. They walked through the forest.

"Wait, what is that?" Rainbow pulled out her binoculars. "What the fuck?" There were jumping figures heading toward them.

"ENEMY SPOTTED!"

"ATTACK!" The figures started to shoot at them. Everyone ducked for cover but Twilight pointed her gun at them. She shot off a few rounds, one hitting one and it exploded. Sunblane crouched down behind a tree. He started to hyperventilate. He had never been in a combat situation before.

"What the hell are you doing?" Midnight was right beside him, shooting.

"Its like training!"

"But you can die this time!"

"You have to be willing to sacrifice for comrades! Now shoot!" Sunblane turned, holding his gun. He aimed at one of the figures that was on Twilight's mech. He fired of a few shots. The figure fell off, exploding. They fended off the figures until they ran.

"RETREAT!" The all jumped away. Now that they were gone, the ponies could examine the figures better. Rainbow stared at one.

"They're making cyborgs?" Everypony looked at her.

"No, that's impossible, right?" Cloud Sweeper was unsure about Rainbow's statement.

"Why else would they just explode once we shot them?" Rainbow looked up to face Cloud Sweeper. They started to advance deeper into enemy territory. The sun was completely down now and they had Night vision [NV] goggles on.

"Wait, what is that in the distance?" Twilight pulled up her scope and looked through it. She saw an enemy outpost.

"Enemy outpost straight ahead!" She yelled. An enemy mech was patrolling the outskirts of the outpost.

"Guess those cyborgs spread the word." Rainbow said, a grin slowly growing on her face. They started to advance slowly, watching the towers.

"You guys will have to go in, I can't leave the mech out here." All of the ponies except for Twilight approached the base, staying near the walls. They all gathered near a large gate. Rainbow made some hoof signals and Midnight moved forward. All the others stayed behind as Midnight scaled the walls. She climbed into a tower, knocking out the soldier in it. Rainbow took out her sniper rifle and shot the other soldiers in the towers. Sunblane turned around.

"The mech is coming back!" He whispered, waiting his inevitable doom. He saw a few flashes of light and large sounds. He saw Twilight fighting it, pulling out her heat ax and hitting the enemy mech. The rest invaded the camp, shooting at any soldier they could find. Sunblane arrived at the radio transmitter, killing the pony manning it. He did the smart thing and shot the radio. He moved on.

"Hey look what I found!" Cloud Sweeper exclaimed pointing at an armory. Rainbow and Midnight ran into there as soon as possible. They looked around.

"P-F139 Body Plated Armor! Made for tanking bullets."

"X-574 3 hoof cannon!" They both said the names of everything in the armory, spreading their knowledge.

"Wait a minute..." Midnight looked at a rack of grenades.

"This can't be right." Rainbow turned around to see what she was looking at. She gasped.

"FR-3674/001 Type Rainbow Gas!?" She yelled.

"Seems so." Midnight looked at her.

"That stuff was outlawed when Discord used it in the Second war of Calamity!"

"There hasn't been any reports of what it does since they had everypony retreat when they used it. No pony survived."

"Why is it here?" Rainbow was almost on the ground. Sunblane walked away, trying to get his mind off the thought.

"Grab all the things you can, no smoke grenades though, they could be filled with the gas." Sunblane was already in another area. He looked into a room and saw something.

"GUYS COME QUICK!" All of them rushed there.

"What is it?" They saw in the middle of the room was Nimble Tail. He had disappeared after the crash and captured.

"Nimble are you okay?" He looked like hell.

"Y-yeah, just beaten the shit out of, but nothing serious." He said, barely being able to stand up.

"Its been a long time!" Cloud Sweeper said, hugging him. Meanwhile, Twilight was still fighting the enemy mech. She swung the ax into it's side.

"Just go down already!" She yelled, severing it's gun mounted arm. It pulled out a heat sword and hit the mech's shoulder, making it crouch down.

"I'm not done yet!" She yelled, smashing into the enemy's generator, it blowing up. Her mech was flung backwards, airbags deploying. She smashed down onto the ground. Twilight got out of her mech, examining it. There was no way this thing would survive the rest of their mission. She walked back over to her teammates.

"Hey! The mech got busted, don't worry! Star Facade is fine... I think." She trotted back over to her mech, opening a secret compartment that held Star Facade It was on the same shoulder that was damaged. She looked in.

"Oh no."

"What?"

" I think he died from the intense heat." They buried him, not having time to give a proper goodbye.

"Also, Twilight we found another mech for you." Rainbow said, leading her towards it. Twilight looked up, her eyes lighting up in awe at the majestic humanoid mech. She took the elevator up, climbing into the cockpit.

"Wow! This one handles a lot better than the one I had." She disconnected the pipes on it forcefully, Walking forward.

"ATTACK!" A scream rang out. More cyborgs came over a hill, jumping down. They shut the gates, stopping them from going any further.

Nimble Tail grabbed some grenades.

"Go! Run! I'm to injured to make the journey into enemy territory!"

"But Nimble Tail!" Sunblane yelled.

"GO!" He yelled, pulling the pins off of all the grenades with his mouth. He limped toward the gate.

"Even though I didn't get to know you guys well enough, I thank you. I didn't want to die alone. I Wanted to die an honorable way. A way that would be saving my friends." He thought in his mind, the last seconds of the grenades ticking off. "I'll be with you soon Star Facade!" The grenades going off, killing him and many of the cyborgs. The group ran the opposite way, trekking deeper into enemy territory. Suddenly, another humanoid mech came out of the sky, charging at Twilight. She grabbed for a hilt on the backpack, a beam blade revealing itself.

"Beam tech?" She said, swinging at the enemy. The enemy mech had them too, swinging and slashing, They hit each other, emitting a large amount of energy and light. They separated, releasing the ball of energy, pushing them back. They fought until the enemy came really close to Twilight's mech's body, the beams almost touching it.

" Are there any ranged weapons on this thing?" She said, pressing the trigger button. A small minigun on the chest fired, forcing the enemy to back away. They jumped back into the walls of the base, Twilight seeing a gun in the corner of her eye. She grabbed it, firing at the other mech. It flew away, retreating along with the cyborgs.

Twilight's mech fell onto it's knees, Twilight sweating. The sun started to rise as the gang left the area.
