Chapter 1: secrets revealed
There they were, sat in the room that she feared the most. The tiles were so white they gave a shine to the room as she looked over at the multiple diagrams and charts on the hospital wall she wondered what the answer would be. Those thoughts were circling in her head until a short white stallion with a stethoscope for a cutie mark walked in and gaver her the news she didn't want to hear, she... was pregnant.
"That... Can't be," Scootaloo managed to sorrowfully whisper only just audible for the doctor and Scootaloo's foster mother, emerald sky. She was a (unsurprising) shiny green earth pony with a contrasting blue mane and tail. She had fostered Scootaloo when she was first moved to Ponyville from Canterlot.
At first she saw it as a way to comfort a filly who had been a victim of such a terrible start in live, not knowing her pairents and being unable to fly was not ideal for a Pegasus of her age. Only being 7 when she had arrived Emerald was sure she'd learn within a few months and a loving family would come along and swoop her up to give her a real chance and life.
But that never happened. 8 years had passed and she still couldn't fly and now to make things worse, she was pregnant.
"Are you sure you've got the right test results doc" Emerald said, slight hope in her voice as she placed her hoof around a now crying Scootaloo. "I mean there's got to be a mix up here, she can't be pregnant she hasn't even had... You know... Sex" she whispered that last part in hope that Scoots didn't here it but it was clever by the pain on her face that she did. "Dear Celestia!"
"I... I have" Scootaloo said, her voice dry and empty of any emotions. "Last week at school... This Colt, Fierce storm he... Pinned me... Up... Up against the wall and told me to meet him in the colts locker room after the hoof ball game or I wouldn't see another day" Scootaloo, now visibly in tears continued "I did as he said and there were too many of them... I couldn't stop them... They... Used me"
The colour from Emerald's face was now flushed as she heard the terrible incidents that occurred that day. But one question remained in her mind "why didn't you tell anyone?"
"Throughout they had taken photos of me doing those... Things and said they'd show everypony if I told anyone so I just kept quiet" the filly spoke, not much louder than a whisper.
"And when I tried to talk to him the next day he just told me that I was a dirty filly and that I was worthless" a shiver ran down her spine as she noticed a movement outside her door, and heard the handle click.
She was then greeted by the one mare who brought her happiness beyond belief. Rainbowdash was stood in the entrance to the room, sweat visible on her brow. As she trotted onto the room she saw the looks on Scoot's and Emerald's faces. "What happened here?" she asked in her cocky tone that never wavered unless the scene called for it. It soon became clear that this was one of those very times. "What's up scoots? Is everything ok?" She said in a more caring manner not usually heard from the daredevil enthusiast.
Patient: Scootaloo
Rainbows mouth now hanging low only served as a cover to what was truly happening on the inside.
Without warning she flew across the room and held Scootaloo tightly. With the new found comfort she felt Scootaloo started to openly sob into rainbows prismatic mane as all the pent up emotion overflow into a river of sorrow.
After five or so minutes rainbow heard something come from her number one fan "no one will want me now" Scootaloo said, matter of factly "a flightless and pregnant teenage Pegasus, good life I turned out to have".
Rainbow glared with pure anger in her eyes "who did this to you." Before scoots had the chance to reply Emerald whispered the story into her ear. Rainbows face turned from a look of enquiry to one of shock and disbelief, How could somepony do that to her. Her eyes now fixated on Scootaloo as a fire raged within them but she calmed her tone and bit back the temptation to kick Fearce Storms plot in.
"I promise we'll fix this ok squirt" she said using that nickname that had become a staple to scoots childhood. Over the years Rainbow had become a sister figure for Scootaloo and she knew she felt safe and un-judged by her idol. Emerald didn't mind though as it gave her ample time to do what she needed while dash took care of Scootaloo. But what of this now?

Once they were out of the hospital Emerald took Scootaloo straight back to her foster home once she said her goodbyes to Rainbow. The thing that pained Emerald is that she knew what had to happen to the foal.
Because Scootaloo was in care she could chose to keep the foal if she wanted to, but once the foal was born it was put up for adoption. Those were the rules. Rules Scootaloo was far too aware of.

Chapter 2: home sweet home
The walk from the hospital seemed to stretch on for hours, in reality it was only 15 minutes. But after the events of that afternoons visit to Ponyville General nether of them were really in there own minds.
Emerald kept thinking how Scootaloo could be so idiotic not to tell her the day she was used like that even if it ment the photos would be shown, it was for the best right? No. Of course it wasn't she's a teenage filly her reputation is what matters to her most not her own health and being, you know not pregnant.
Scootaloo on the other hand just couldn't believe what she had been told. She was going to be a mother. If only for a few days at the most. She knew the laws in equestria stated "if anypony under the age of 18 fell pregnant and has a child while in care it had to be put up for adoption, no exceptions." The thought of having to give it up made her blind to the bigger question at hand. Did she want to have the child? She was only 15 and noticibly smaller than all the other filly Pegasus in her classes so the question was more could she have it not if she wanted to have it. Also would it stay in Ponyville or be taken elsewhere, if it went to cloudsdale she's probably never see it as she couldn't fly for more than a few seconds a couple feet of the floor. Even after she did what rainbow told her to do it didn't help.
After a silent walk home through the setting sun Scootaloo and Emerald both walked inside the poorly lit house and started to walk up the stairs before a voice broke the silence. Emerald spoke in a gentle but stern voice "we need to talk about the foal Scoots." I know you don't want to but we need to consider what to do if you keep it. I'm sorry, you know this had to happen.
Scootaloo held back a whimper as a single tear rolled down her face. "Why now? Can't you just give me a day or two, please" she quietly spoke so not to allow Emerald to hear. After a prolonged amount of time she sternly replied with "I know I'll be with you in a minute." She was going to the bathroom. Once in there she splashed cold water over her face and tied to calm herself before she had to have the talk with Emerald. She wasn't sure what she was gonna say she was just going to answer every question with determination. She was still unsure of what to do with the unborn foal but wouldn't let Emerald decide for her.

The flight back from the hospital was a 30 minute trip for Rainbowdash but she's flown there so fast going to see Scootaloo she hadn't noticed. Once she'd overheard a rather loud sweetie belle and Apple bloom talking about how "she's I'll or she's mentally insane" she had just darted off without thinking.
Due to the time she had by herself she started to think over the little fillies situation; she was 15 and pregnant, no real home and a flightless Pegasus. She had been dealt a bad hoof in life. Rainbow however had been dealt quite a good hoof, she had a mansion made out of clouds a pet tortoise (or turtle, she could never remember which one) and the best friends you could ever ask for. But this had thrown a spanner in the works.
As she walked in her cold and empty house she remembered the first time that she walked through those doors. Excitement and the thrill of independence had blinded her to how Isolated she would be up here. Only two of her friends had wings, fluttershy who never left the ground more than a few feet and "princess" twilight sparkle who was always busy with some friendship problem or spike being spike so she never really came around to visit. The only occasional company she had was when Scootaloo came for a sleepover as they had flying lessons that ran late or just to have fun with her sister. The thought of this made Rainbow beam a smile as the memory's of a small orange and purple poof ball ran around her cloud floors for the first time, she had grown up so much in the past 8 years and they had gone far too quick for Rainbow to accept.
Once she was inside She slowly made her way past the Kitchen which had dishes piled up high and her living room which was accompanied by a coffee table with a few wonderbolts magazines. And one "wet feathers - rainbowdash edition." She kept it arround to remind her of the good old days. Finally making her way upstairs she paused passing the empty spare room, looking inside she saw nothing but a box containing all her wonderbolts programs that wouldn't fit in her wardrobe or were too valuable to be left on a table.
This today was so much for dash to take in as when she was little she had always wanted a foal. But her mother was never really around much when she was little and eventually she just stoped coming home but sent bits every month so she could be fed and her father was a heavy alcoholic who never listened to his daughter and on a few occasions even beat her. So she swore she would be the best mother she could be to her foal but one of the side effects of being an element bearer is the fact that it makes you infertile. Which explained why Celesta never had a child in the 1000 years princes Luna was gone, but it broke dash when she found out.
She had pondered adoption before and even taking in Scootaloo as her own but decided against it. The reason why she couldn't bring to memory as she'd burried it deep away where no one could find out why. Some element of loyalty she'd turn out to be.

After the talk with Emerald, Scootaloo had gone upstairs to lay in her bed. The sheets were blue with clouds on them, she believed they were from the wether factory when she was younger but now she was wiser to the fact they were just stitched into the pattern. She reached over to her bedside cabinet and open the single draw, within the draw was a little alter she'd made in art class as she never did what was asked if her in it, but atop that was a hand made Rainbowdash doll rarity had made she preferred it to the official merchandise ones but still had a few of them too but didn't rate them as highly as this one.
She unknowing found herself rubbing her stomach in a loving way as it hit her there was a life growing inside her. She brought her self back to reality and calmly spoke not caring if Emerald heard "well little one your coming along for a ride with me then. It's gonna be tough and I'll probably buck up somewhere but I swear I'll- no we'll make it through this. And I know what they say but buck the rules. Your my foal and I'm your momma. I've never really had a mom myself, Emeralds the closest I've got but I'll give it all I've got to be the best mom for you. I promise.
And with that Scootaloo fell into a restless sleep filled with a certain cyan blue Pegasus flying with her on her back with her unborn child safety in her protection.

Chapter 3: The joys of pregnancy
It was a calm and peaceful morning in Ponyville, the usual suspects on there day to day routine. Bon Bon was stood at her sweets stand in the town centre with a certain mint green unicorn. They had been dating a long time now and the people of Ponyville didn't seem to care that it was two mares, but why should they thought a now little larger Pegasus as she made her way towards the cmc club house. It was time to confess to Apple bloom and Sweetie belle.
They were both aware she had to go the hospital but were never told why, so she felt as a fellow crusader she had to tell them. But how.
Many people in Ponyville were non the wiser about Scootaloo's situation, but as she drove through the back end of town towards sweet Apple acres she could hear people murmur about how slow she was going. She knew she had to be responsible now as it wasn't just her she was looking after.
After what felt like and endless roll of trees coming over the horizon she arrived at the clubhouse, heart in mouth as she made her final decision and stepped of her trusty scooter. As she begrudgingly began to walk up the ladder to the club house she could hear voices from the inside that were the unmistakable southern accent of a farm pony, now larger than the other two crusaders and the gentle and calming voice of a white unicorn with a curly tail that's seemed pristine mainly due to the fact her big sister forced her to brush it every morning and night before bed.
The two of them looked over as the door to the club house swung open. And there stood the little orange Pegasus with her purple mane and small wings that surved no purpose other than to propel her on the scooter she now wished she could run off on. This was the first time in 3 weeks since they had properly seen each other due to it being the summer hollidays and them meant no school and most importantly no DIamond tiara or Silver spoon. The would have a field day with this story.
"Hey'a scoots, what's wrong ya lately" Apple bloom asked with light smile on her face as she tried to get the Pegasus to filly the same.
"Ye scoots were really worried about you, I asked rarity but she wouldn't tell me. I doubt she knew anything anyway" sweetie spat out those last words. Although it was true they loved eachother as sisters sweetie wanted to be away from her and be independent, but Rarity was having non of it.
The other two crusaders could see the shaking that took charge of Scootaloo body. It was no natural movement. The both took this as a cry for support as they never left a crusader in trouble. "C'mon scoots you can tell us anything," Apple bloom softy said in a caring voice.
"Ye we won't be mad, and we'll help you through no matter what." With that input and reassurance Scootaloo spoke up.
"Well you see..." Scootaloo hesitated. She still couldn't get the negative thoughts out of her head. What would her friends think of her. Would they even be her friends. No, she shook that thought from her head and just decided to be out with it. They were the cutie mark crusaders, even if they now had there cutie marks. "I'm... Pregnant."

Across town there was a large amount of ruckus coming back from the "Princes Of Friendships" castle. Rainbowdash had called to meet her friends there, she needed help. She had gotten barely any sleep these past 3 weeks as one thing kept replaying in her mind. The note she had seen at the hospital was burned into her eye lids, she saw it when she closed her eyes and she couldn't take it any longer.
"Ok so what's this all about rainbow?" Twilight asked in her demanding, Canterlot voice. Rainbow was a bit taken back by the use of it, but quickly waved it away as her friend wanted to know what was happening. But she also let out a light giggle as twilight didn't notice but she sounded like Luna on the first nightmare night she came to visit.
"Ye Dashie" pinkie pie chimed in "it's not like the author is gonna make you into a green tentacle monster and you destroy all of equestria? Right. Oh or maybe you'll be sent to a different universe where there's creatures that walk on two legs and be taken in by some person and raised as his own." Rainbow didn't normally listen to most things pinkie said but that was the strangest one she'd ever heard.
"The... what? And where. Pinkie I don't have time for your stupidity. Look Scootaloo is pregnant." As she said that last word the mouths on all her friends faces dropped open in shock she could see there minds ticking away at what she had just said.
Two whole minutes passed before anyone spoke up. The quiet whisper like speech came from fluttershy "oh my is she ok, what's happening to the foal?"
"She can chose to keep it, but it has to be put up for adoption" dash said as a tear ran down the side of her face. "That poor fillys had such a bad start in life and it's all my fault."
The other 5 glanced at her and what she meant by saying that. "A few years ago after I'd first met scoots and found her situation I was going to adopt her and rase her as my daughter, but then the wonderbolts took me into the academy and I chose not to, for my own selfish needs. I'm a horrible sister." Dash shuddered as she called herself her sister. How dare she call herself that.
Applejack who had been quiet throughout all of the commotion that happened that day quietly spoke up and asked "dash ah know you feel bad for what ya did. I can see it in ya eyes but you need to ask yourself what your gonna do now your retired, you have a lot more time on your hoofs after the, ya know accident."
Dash cringed at the mention of her crash. It was a normal wonderbolts routine until a storm blew in from the everfree forest. A lightning bolt struck her left wing and stripped it of all the feathers. With not feathers there was no way she could stay airborne and whike fell and the world went black she believed that that's where it would end for her. She was in slight shock as she woke up and saw a fiery mane and the blue wonderbolts uniform. All she could remember from that horrid day was the doctor saying she'd never fly fast again and was lucky just to be alive. She never had except for the other week when she went to see Scootaloo. At that moment in her mind she realised how much she really cared for that little filly. Her heart sank as the weight of the situation hit her again. She needed her to be the mother she never had, and Dash needed her to the daughter she'd dreamed of all her life.
At that moment dash knew she had to make that choice, the one that would change her life, change scoots life weather for good or bad whichever way she saw it. But the only issue was the time it was gonna take but she decided it's all be worth it in the end.

"Your what!" Sweetie exclaimed following the long silence.
"I'm pregnant" Scootaloo said again this time more audible.
There faces now flush of all colours as sweetie made an approach towards the Pegasus with wings flared out as a natural Instinct to make her self seem threatening in the face of danger. But before she could do anything Sweetie hugged her and let out an adorable squeak, one that made Scootaloo blush slightly.
Apple bloom saw this and looked at Scootaloo, she knew they both liked each other but neither was able to admit it and with what happened to Scootaloo with colts she doubted she's ever go near one again.
Scootaloo noticed the look from Ab but didn't protest it, it felt nice to he held by someone who truly cares for her. Emerald had done a great job at raising her but she wasn't really prepared to raise a moody hormonal teenager who had a foal.
After the hug was broken the all went and sat arround the new table they had put in a few years ago so they could have proper meetings. But one question still lingered on Sweeties mind. "What are you gonna do with the, you know foal? I mean I know you'd love to keep it but you can't right?"
Scootaloo shuck her head sorrowfully. She couldn't bring the thought of having the Colt or filly and then just giving it away! It was her foal after all why should they decide what happens with it. But she still wasn't sure about having the foal all together. She was far smaller than the other Pegasus her age and still couldn't fly what if it caused complications and the foal died or even worse, she did.
The look was visible to the other two crusaders but they knew the perfect thing cheer her up. Sweetie belle used her magic to levitate her saddle bag over and pulled from inside a orange feather. It was the first primary feather Scootaloo had lost as she grew up. She was a little shocked that she kept hold of it but those thoughts were lost in the hysterical laughter that could be heard throughout the acres.
Whatever happened, she had the best friends behind her to support her through whatever she chose.

I hope you all enjoyed that chapter. It was a little larger than the last ones and I'll be trying to improve on size of them and with what I've planned for this story that should come to fruition.

Chapter 4: Taking the responsibility
3 months later
The majority of Ponyville now knew of the 15 year old situation but non how she ended up like this as she want one to go tell everyone how she was used that horrid day. Just the slight thought of it made a chill go down her spine and stretch to the tips of her wings. She knew eventually ponys would ask her but for now she kept that to herself.
In the doctors clinic she was joined by Emerald and Rainbowdash, the past few months had been hard especially with school starting up again, but dispite the constant teasing from diamond tiara and silver spoon she didn't care she was happy and with her friends there was nothing she feared. Apart from what she was told next.

She barly made it home that night. The news was just too much for her to take.
She had suspicions but for it now to be confirmed she couldn't take it. Dispite Emeralds attempt at cheering Scootaloo up which involved a sleepover at Rainbows or tickets for a wonderbolts show nothing did the trick. "I think I'm just gonna go to bed Emerald, Night." The tone in Scootaloo's voice had been one Emerald had heard before, when adoption day came arround every year but no one her took her, heck she'd only had one viewing in the past 3 years from a couple living in Canterlot but they weren't looking for a "trouble maker" as they put it.
Emerald only had words of comfort to respond to Scootaloo with "I'm sure it's a mistake sweetheart," she said in the most motherly voice she could muster but it did nothing to stop Scootaloo's depressed sigh over powering it.
Once laid on her bed she reached for the Rainbowdash plushy that always came with comfort for her. The news had ripped her apart, after so long. The hope was gone. Nothing could be done.
She lay on her side and closed her eyes to try to welcome sleep but it never came to grace her.

Rainbowdash once equestria's fastest flyer was now going no faster than Fluttershy as she was lost in thaught. The past few months mad been stressful and bussy for her just to make Scootaloo happy but now this discovery, could she still do it. She'd had so much support from all her friends and even the princesses. could she really do this. Put her entire life aside, everything she's worked for and wanted. Just for this one filly now even more broken than before.
She had to get away just for a little while, she needed someone to talk to. Fluttershy! Dash changed her course and started to head towards the shy Pegasus' cottage.
Once she was there she knocked frantically on the door not giveing a second without knocking again until the yellow Pegasus with a light pink mane opened the door. She let her inside and offered her a cup of tea to which Dash graciously thanked her for.
Once Dash had sat down and taken in her surroundings she had noticed a colourful character with two different wings and a dragons tale instantly recognising discord she looked at him sorrowfully as if begging him to ask her what's wrong. Lucky for Rainbow he did just that.
"What's wrong," asked discord in his chaotic voice which they had all become accustomed to. "Is there something wrong with the whole Scootaloo, baby thing?"
Dash froze "how do you know about that?"
"I'm the god of chaos, I know everything, Plus I heard Derpy talking to that doctor character about it. Watch out for him by the way he's not what you think."
A little taken a back from what discord said she replied "ye it's not going well for the kid, she thought it'd all settled down until this shows up now. Not ideal."
"If you don't mind me asking, what's wrong with her?" Discord question while Fluttershy walked back in with a tray of tea balanced on her back.
"She can't fly," Rainbowdash sorrowfully said. "Like for good, she'll never fly. Something to do with the muscles not developing properly. I always knew she'd never be the best at flying due to her decreased size but I never thought she'd never fly altogether."
Rainbow slowly lent over to lift her cup of tea to her lips to take a sip, she visibly relaxed as the hot liquid made its way down her throat and settled in her stomach. Seeing the chance Fluttershy spoke up "erm so dash, a few months ago when you called that meeting you said you had made a decision, but you never told anypony," Fluttershy hesitated "do you mind."
Rainbowdash look at the hard wood floor before sighing in defeat "I chose that I wanted to adopt her, for her to come live with me, to be her big sister for real or even... Mother if she wanted. But how can I do that now Flutters, she can't get to my house if she can't fly. But I..."
"You what Dash" Fluttershy said in a tone that demanded an answer.
"I love her Fluttershy. Like she's my own. Ever since we first used the god forsaken elements I knew what I wanted to do and then I met her and she looked up to me and idolised me but I let her down for my own selfish needs and I feel like I'm doing that all over again."
"Dash" Fluttershy spoke in a caring and comforting manor "you love that little filly and I can see you do, you've made tough decisions in your life but that's what got you here today, to this decision. Now you make the big one."
"I want her Fluttershy," dash was now broken into tears "I want her as my own. My daughter."
"Then go to her. Now," Fluttershy pushed rainbow out of her cottage and didn't look away until she was no longer visible.
"So where were we honey?" Asked discord with a cheeky smile plastered across lips.
Fluttershy could only laugh "come on then ya big goof."

Emerald was disturbed from her position of laying on the couch but a frantic knocking at the door, going to open it she saw the multi coloured mane of Rainbowdash.
"Emerald I need to talk to you, now," Rainbow said as she made her way into the house and sat down at the table. "It's about Scootaloo."
"Yes I know she's verry upset and now she truly believes bo one will want her. I don't know what to do rainbow, I can't afford her anymore with all the medical bills and new bed sheets I have to buy its just all too much."
"Emerald..." Dash swallowed the lump in her throat and spoke quiet so the Pegasus upstairs wouldn't hear her "I want to adopt her."
The green earth ponys face fell silent. Did she just hear what she thaught she heard. "You want her Rainbowdash? But she can't fly, how would sh-"
She was cut off by rainbows response "I'm selling my house so she can live with me, I'll still treat her like a Pegasus but she'll live on the earth with me. That is if you deem me a fit pony to adopt Scootaloo?"
"What, obviously your fit to adopt her I mean your selling your mansion just so she can be happy, and I know that payoff from the wonderbolts means you've got plenty of cash."
She was right the pay off was huge and she could easy afford the bills and new items she had to get for Scootaloo.
While Dash was lost in her own thoughts Emerald had gone and fetched payers for her to sign. She has wanted this day to come around for a long time now and here it was Scootaloo was getting a real family. But most importantly she didn't have to give her foal away. She'd never been happier.
Once all the forms were filled in and Rainbow had signed where she had to all she needed now was Scootaloo's signature and they'd be a family. She was going to crash at twilights until she'd got a new house on the ground. But the castle was big enough.
As they made there way up the old wooden steps they couldn't hear anything and both of them just assumed she'd gone to sleep. But as they entered the door the room was empty and the window open.
What laid on the bed next to the Rainbowdash plushy, at which Dash blushed a bit, was a note written while crying due to the water stains on the paper.
Dear Emerald I have gone into the Everfree forst to find zecora so she can make me fly. I'm sorry but I need to fly, how else will I get Rainbowdash's attention. I just want her to love me and give me a home. Now like this I've got no chance. Scootaloo
Both of there hearts froze and they knew the everfree forst Aless no place for a filly in that state and so unprepared.

Emerald and Rainbowdash both ran into the forest and went straight to zecora's hut, but to there horror Scootaloo hadn't been there.
Zecora spoke out of panic "oh my we must find Scootaloo, or we may lose her and the foal too."
Author's Note
Oh the tensions starting to grow. Scootaloo has ran off and cannot be found and what's going on in Fluttershys cottage?
Anyway thank you reading this chapter I really enjoyed writing this one and sorry I could only have a bit of zecora dialogue I can't rhyme.

Chapter 5: lose part of me, gain all of you.
Well there was no doubt about it, she was lost. How could she have been so bucking thick to run of into the Forrest and not follow the trail that twilight made with the protection spell to keep Zecora or visitors safe. She was just so blinded by the fear of being rejected by Rainbow and no one to ever love her she didn't think.
Now as she trekked deeper (or she thought it was deeper) into the Everfree she could hear more noises that didn't fill her with confidence, but they didn't play a large part in her mind, she was still in self loathing about how no one would want her.
"Flightless, pregnant and a bucking waste of space to everyone I know, why don't I just feed the Manticore." Scootaloo spoke with no emotion and empty meaning. She felt like she had disappointed everyone, especially Dash, who had spend days upon days trying to teach her to fly, all of that time wasted. If she was being honest with herself she didn't even care about the flying lessons she just enjoyed the company of Rainbowdash the mare who she felt she was safe around. Not now, she probably hates her.
As she continued to progress throughout the forest she could have sworn she heard movements, shadows brushed past her. As she kept turning to try spot what had caused her to be so flustered she lost her footing and slid down a stone ridge. At the last second she managed to out stretch a wing to elevate her self as to not hurt her stomach.
* SNAP *
The scream was as clear as day, and who it belonged to wasn't exactly a hard guess. Rainbow ran as fast as her legs could carry her, after the accident she was now faster on and than in air so she knew there was no real point flying as it would only make her slower. "Scootaloo! Scootaloo!," rainbow shouted at the top of her lungs.
"Ahhhh!"
Her head snapped and turned towards the new sound came from . "Was she moving?" Rainbow quietly asked herself as she shot off in the new direction. She seemed to be running in circles until she came to a sight that stopped her heart, a bloodied, orange primary.
Trying not to fall over with the nauseating feeling that was in the pit of her stomach she looked away until she heard Emerald point out "there's a trail of blood, its our best shot Dash."
Knowing this to be true she stood up and took the primary in her mouth, grabbing the stalk that wasn't covered in blood, and placed it in her saddle bad Zecora had given them. It contained brews and potions to fend of the beasts of the Everfree forest, but also medical supplies in case they found the worst and from how this was looking they may have.
The blood trail ran for about half a mile until it came to a stop. Looking up there eyes were in shock as what laid before them was a curled up, blood stained, orange and purple pega-. No, she wasn't a Pegasus anymore. Looking over her bruised and battered body she noticed where the blood and come from. One wing snapped halfway down the bone but still attached by the flesh and the other completely gone. The only clue as to what happened was the slash across her forehead.
Scootaloo opened her eyes for them just to close back up a second later as the brightness of the room blinded her. She slowly managed to open one eye and as her hearing came back to her she could hear a voice calling out that she was waking up. She winced as a pain shot up her back, she had no recollection of the night before apart from that she ran into the Everfree forest.
Now managing to open up both her eyes she saw a shiny green coat enter the room and a cyan one go off to the other side. She beamed with joy at the sight of her foster mother and big sister. But they didn't return the looks of joy. Instead pain seemed to be there expression.
Despite this fact rainbow pulled herself together and said in a calming voice "heya squirt, sorry we took so long to find you, and sorry that we couldn't save the," she hesitated not being able to say the word "ya know".
She issued towards scootaloo. This caused panic to flare up in the filly. Her foal! She couldn't feel anything on her front below her chest, she quickly threw of the hospital covers to reveal her still swollen stomach which she felt relieved about. But she also had gausses wrapped around her, she looked at them bewildered. What were they doing. She could feel them wrapped around her wings. So as she turned to see why they were there her heart sank.
On her left side was a wing that had been put back together and was now casted. While the other wi-. There wasn't a wing, just a line of crimson on the bandages. The night prior suddenly came back to memory, the shadows, the fall and the way she had protected her foal. That explained the broken wing but what abut the one completely missing. No memories came back to inform her of the reason but she didn't need them. Tears started to roll down her cheeks, the realisation setting in. She only had one wing.
At that moment Rainbowdash asked if she could have some privacy away from everyone else so she could talk to Scootaloo. All obliged and allowed them there privacy.
"What now rainbow?" came a frail voice that sounded broken. "What now, I'm a one winged, flightless half Pegasus who's 3 months pregnant with a foal she can't even keep." and with that last word the flood gates opened as she started to openly sob into the soft chest of her idol who'd made her way over to give her support and comfort. "No one wants me, even before all of this no one wanted me, I'm just as useless as diamond tiara says I am."
Rainbowdash took this as her chance to break into the conversation with the filly "scoots your not useless," she said sternly. "Your amazing and I know it." A slight blush spread across both there faces. "I... I saw the doll and the note."
Scootaloo froze. her idol, the one she looked up to the most knew she slept with a toy, and most embarrassingly one of her. "I'm... sorry. I would have told you but after the accident I felt like I was the last thing you needed. But oh well that's another reason to add to the list on why I suck."
"HEY!" rainbow shouted louder than she should have. "you don't suck, k kid," Scootaloo only softly nodded. "Your the most awesome filly I know, I wouldn't have been your sister if you wasn't, you've been through so much in life, helped others with finding there cutie marks and yes admittedly very bad things no one should have to go through. But through it all you've always come out on top. And I couldn't be prouder of you."
Scootaloo smiled at her prismatic maned friend. "you really think so?"
"I know so," Rainbow said triumphantly. "and about this whole no one will want you. yes they will, why wouldn't they?"
"Because I'm flightless, pregnant and a teenager, they only want them when there small."
"Well I'm one lucky Pegasus then, they'll be no competition." A smirk covered Raibows face as she said that. and that caught Scootaloo's attention.
"What do you mean?"
Rainbowdash took out the papers from the saddle bag and placed them on the bed in front of the orange filly her eyes widened at what she saw.
ADOPTION CIRTIFICATE
THIS CIRTIFICATE IS TO CERTIFY THAT RAINBOWDASH NOW HAS LEGAL CARE OF THE COLT/FILLY SCOOTALOO
Scootaloo couldn't believe it her dream had come true she would finally have a family.
"So what ya say squirt? wana roll with me," said dash in half serious half humours tone.
"I'd love to. But I'm not worth it I'd just drag you down and I've no way to get to your house anyway. just leave me dash I'll be fine."
"Squirt, I'd want noting more than you to live with me and don't worry about the house I'm selling it and getting one on the ground so you can access it, and you won't drag me down I've always wanted a foal of my own but once you use the elements you can't have them. I've got all the time in the world now I'm retired so ill always be there for you and don't worry about money the wonderbolts pay of is more than enough to take care of you and jr, if you want to keep it."
She hadn't been sure recently, she couldn't just give it away it'd be too hard. But now she was offered the chance at a new life, one where she could keep the foal. "Ye. I think id like that."
Scootaloo took the ink and quill from the desk next to the bed and signed her name to confirm it. She was now rainbows. Never had joy like this flown throughout her body. The tip of her only remaining wing tingled with excitement as her eyes filled up with tears of joy for the first time in years.
"I love you scoots."
"I love you too... mum."
Outside the room Emerald was smiling from ear to ear. She loved the filly but was glad she now had a real home where she could keep the foal. The past 8 years had been a struggle and once the foal came into the picture she had struggled with money. But she could now rest easy.
With the morning coming around in a hour or two she decided to leave the two of them alone for the night as she knew Dash wouldn't leave her side. While she was walking out of the double door way into the lobby she saw both Ranbowdash's and Scootaloo's friends, they stopped in a panic.
"Emerald where are they?" Twilight asked hastily.
"room 247, but I think Dash wants to be left alone with her new daughter and Scootaloo with her new mom."
...
"Ahm sorry Emerald but did you just say her new ma?" said a shocked Apple bloom.
"Yes, happened just now actually."
All of them stood there silenced and in awe at what they just heard. All apart from Fluttershy who just smiled and whispered under her breath "good job Dashie, I knew you could do it."

I really enjoyed writing this chapter as I was quite depressed while I wrote it so I got some real emotions in there and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Chapter 6: planning ahead
7 months pregnant
"Scoots you don't eve know if it's a colt or filly," rainbow said plainly.
"I will tomorrow, and plus I have a feeling it'll be a little colt"
Rainbow just replied with a blank stare. The past 3 months had gone surprisingly well despite the constant warning from her friends that there wold be arguments but non happened. Instead Scootaloo and Dash got on amazingly, mainly due to the fact that they knew each other so well from the camping trips and flight lessons.
Neither of the two mares really talked about the past as it brought back uncomfortable memory's for Scootaloo. As Rainbow looked over at her adopted daughter she saw the scar where her wing was hidden under the shirt Rarity had made her to hide her "defect". It never really effected her as she couldn't fly before but there was the obvious teasing from Diamond and Silver but that stopped once they realised that the entire class had turned against them.
Scootaloo was looking through foal cloths. Yes it was true she wouldn't know until tomorrow she couldn't wait, if you had told her 3 months ago that she'd have a mum and be able to raise her own foal she would have requested Princess Celestia banish you to Tarterus. But here she was, she missed being able to fly even if it was just hovering for a few seconds but every night she would lay in bed on her back and feel one wing under her but not the other. She had become adapt though as she used it like a fifth hoof, to hold things with and even to stroke and tickle her stomach while she talked to the life within her.
After a good seven hours looking around the Ponyville market her and Rainbow decided to call it a day and as always she suggested they go to Shugercube corner and as always Scootaloo ran to it before Rainbow actually got an answer, but this time Rainbow bit on Scootaloo's tail to stop her.
"Hey what's that for?" Scootaloo shot at Rainbow.
"I've got a surprise for you so no going ahead this time." Rainbow said as she smirked at the surprise she had planned for her daughter.
The look that she got in return was priceless. Scootaloo was both exited and worried, it is Rainbowdash after all. But she just shook it of and continued her way to the corner.
Once there she stopped and looked around for her mother but she was gone. The only thing she caught a glimpse of was the rainbow trail heading towards the back of the sugar coated building. Smiling she entered the shop, only to be greated by the dark. "Ok what the buck is going on here."
"Darling, language!"
"Shhhh, sis stay quiet it's supposed to be a surprise she might here you."
"I already have." Scootaloo said emotionlessly.
"SURPRISE!!!!!"
All pony's of the town jumped out at the now rather large orange mare. In the blur of colour that blinded her she made out both of her friends Sweetiebelle and Applebloom, there sisters and friends. But she couldn't find her mother anywhere.
But before that had any chance to set in she was bombarded by everypony there congratulating her and wishing her luck. After the initial attack on her she saw the banner hung up across the roof of Sugarcube corner "Baby shower for Scoot-" Scootaloo laughed as she saw Lyra and Bon Bon with paint in there coat and remembered when they did the banner for princes Celestia and it only came out as "celest."
Walking over to the main table she saw a cake obviously baked by pinkie as it was mostly made out of sugar and marshmallows and having to look after the foal she decided to skip out on it, which she was happy she did as she saw Button Mash passed out on the arcade machines due to the sugar crash.
Once the party had ended and everypony had left apart from the other 2 CMC members and AJ, Rarity, Twilight, Fluttershy and Pinkie as she lived there, all apart from rainbow still, come to think of it she hadn't seen her all evening and it was only 8:30 so she would never be in bed. That got Scootaloo worried to the point where she finally asked about her. "Hey where's Rainbow?"
"Ah don't know sugar cube, I ain't seen her neither" Applejack answered now starting to question her cyan friends whereabouts. "I thought that she'd be her for ya special party. But I'll walk ya home then, its on the way to the acres anyway and you and Ab have a lot of catching up to do anyways now you can't go crusading or help anypony till the little ones here."
"Well the lights on AJ, why do you think she left the party?" Asked a confused Scooaloo.
"Ah don't know but ima give her a talking to!" Replied a now quite pissed Applejack.
As the orange mare steadily made her way towards the oak door on Rainbowdash and Scootaloo's new house she heard a loud crash. She now started to panic, she knew that Rainbow hadn't fully adapted to living in a house she couldn't fly through if all went to shit. But what surprised her was the fact there were no lights on apart from the spare room at the top let of the stairs and living room. AJ just figured she was just rearranging the boxes until she heard Dash shout "dam this looked a hell of a lot easer to build on the box than this crap!".
"Eh Rainbow you ok? I've got Scooaloo with me and she's mighty upset wi'ch ya about leavin the party!"
"What she's back already, I'm not finished yet."
"Erm what's not done yet?"
"Don't come up, please don't come up!"
"Mum your scaring me. I'm coming in I'm sorry bu-" Scootaloo cut herself off as she walked in and saw what Rainbow was trying to hide.
"Surprise!!! Sort of." Rainbow said slightly disheartened.
"You... You made this while I was at the party?" Asked a in shock Scootaloo.
"Ye I wanted to make sure the foal had somewhere to stay. Sorry I ditched you at pinkies." Rainbow looked down in a sorrowful movement towards her daughter. She'd just adopted her and earned her full trust and now she's lied and abandoned her. She couldn't start to think of what was going through Scootaloo's mind.
She didn't have to wait long though as Scootaloo's eyes started to water and tears streamed down her face and she hugged Rainbowdash as tight as she could. "No ones ever done anything for me like this, I thaught that the foal would have to sleep in my room but now, now it has a whole nursery to its self. Thank you mum. Thank you." Rainbow made out what Scootaloo had said during her more emotional moment and just held her close.
Applejack seeing as it was a personal moment made her way back down the stairs and out the front door. But not before hearing a exchange of love between mother and daughter.
"Mum, mum come on the appointments in 20 minutes and I can't wait!" Shouted and extremely impatient Scootaloo. After 7 months of waiting she would finally know if she was having a Colt or filly and she was ecstatic.
"Scoots calm down your your gonna hurt the little one." Replied a no nonsense Rainbowdash. She was as exited as Scootaloo but she also wanted it to actually survive and with how Scootaloo was bouncing it was getting risky.
"Oh sorry." Scootaloo looked down as she realised how irresponsible she was being.
"Don't sweat it. But also never do that again!"
Scootaloo nodded in understanding and the both continued there way to the clinic.
Once there they were checked in and the doctor started to do tests on Scootaloo and the foal. They both came back as fine dispite Scootaloo's smaller size compared to other Pegasus her age. But then the question she had been waiting for was asked.
"Would you like to know if it's a Colt or filly, miss Scootaloo?" Asked nurse red heart.
"Yes please I've been so exited to find out!" Answered Scootaloo nearly flying of the table in impatience.
"Ok calm down. Your having a little..."

First off I know this is like a week after the last chapter but I've had a really busy week and I've got exams coming up soon so there gonna have to take priority I'm sorry. Secondly I've not decided if it's a Colt or filly yet so I decided to add the cliffhanger in there at the end. I can't say when the next chapter will be out but I will try when I get a chance like I said my exams are coming up.

Chapter 7: night mares
...Colt!"
Scootaloo's mouth dropped as tears started to roll down her cheeks. "You ok squirt?" Rainbow asked slightly concerned for her adopted daughters state.
"I'm just so happy Rainbowdash!" Replied a smiling orange Pegasus "I finally know what I'm gonna have," she giggled as she rested her only wing on the growing bump coming out of her.
"Thought of any names yet?" Asked a smiling readheart looking at the family of Pegasi.
"No, it needs to be perfect, just for him," smiled the youngest in the room.
Once home the light cerulean Pegasus walked into the kitchen of the house and started cooking tea for her and her daughter, and also feeding her... Granddaughter. Oh that made her feel old she was only 28.
However Unknown to the rainbow maned Pegasus her daughter had already gone from the room and into her bedroom. She'd had a thought on her mind ever since they'd left the hospital but she didn't want to trouble her mother, after all what if she decided she was too much trouble and sent her back to the orphanage. Rainbow may have seen her as perfect and wouldn't change her for the world but Scootaloo knew the secret all Pegasi hid from the earth and unicorn ponies, they hate having broken foals as it shows them as weak. She'd herd rumours of what happened to those who failed the flight test and it want pretty, luckily for her she would never have to take that test now due to her "condition".
She looked over to her wingless side, she'd never really gotten a moment alone just to think about the fact she only had one wing, the defining factor that made her a Pegasus and she had lost half of it and not even taken the time to think over it.
Scootaloo was certain that her foal would be a Pegasus as fierce storm was also a Pegasus, a pathetic excuse for one at that, she hated him so much. After the incident he'd moved schools and never once attempted to contact her.
The anger within her now grew to boiling point and without realising she had been strangling her Rainbowdash teddy. She released her grip on the plushy and calmed herself before going into the bathroom and cleaning herself up before rainbow had finished cooking tea.
The meal was eerily silent, both mares wanting to start a conversation but never finding the right thing to say. Before the chance of any communication happening Scootaloo blacked out. Just leaving her mother desperately asking her and trying to wake her up. Sadly to no avail.
"I hate it here in Baltamare," spoke a dark blue pegsus with a black mane.
"well it's because of you we had to move here Mr I'm gonna be cool and lose my virginity and get her pregnant!"
"Oh give it a bucking rest dad!" The colt snapped out towards the family that he was lucky to still have after the stunt he pulled in Ponyvillle. Fierce storm hated to admit it but he was happy he still had his family. The other ones involved in the ordeal had abandoned him after they found out she was pregnant as they didn't want anything to do with it and his family left as soon as they could. Both his mom and dad had not wanted to accept they might be related to it but fierce wanted it.
He didn't trust that pathetic excuse for a filly who couldn't even fly to raise it, this was HIS foal and he wanted it raised under his care. The plan was simple he knew she must be around the 7 - 8 month mark right about now so he just had to take a good guess and show up at hopefully the right time and take it from her. She was weak, unstable and didn't have command over anyone, especially him.

[/"looks like your outnumbered!" Fierce spoke with a grin in the darkness of the changing room. "Now be a good little filly and show the colts what you got for them," slowly the 6 of them started to corner her, they all knew she couldn't fly so there was no way out for her.
one of the colts leaped at her forcing her on the floor while the others started to make her seem more appealing for them, they liked the way this was going all according to plan. fierce took the lead putting cloth in her mouth to stop her screams being heard.
"Now from what I remember from biology class if I touch here," he spoke while lowering a hoof to the place presented to him by the other 5 "it should make you feel really good!" he spoke in a deep and devious tone while continuously making Scootaloo's muffled screams eco out in the locker room that they were alone in. "And if you get any ideas about telling anypony just look at the camera and smile for all of equestria to see."
Once he'd had his fun with his hoof he moved to the main course, while the other colts had agreed to have fun as well he was the one getting the main treatment. As he stepped back to admire his work so far he saw the tear stained cheeks of the orange Pegasus. "Not having fun are we? I'll change that for you!" Scootaloo's eyes widened as she saw what was being placed between her legs, surly it would kill her, actually that didn't sound too bad around now just let go on life and be free from this horror.
The pain was horrifying, she could hardily open her eyes she hoped that it would go, the pain, the humiliation of being overpowered like this she hated it, what would Dash do! Rainbow, that's the only thing she could hold onto now. what would she think, she's not being strong she's being... used like the filly sex slave she truly is now, at least that's what Storm keeps telling her.
After what felt like forever she knew it would finally be coming to an end she could feel him picking up the pace and breathing heavier but he wasn't leaving, not removing himself for the big finale. no! no! he wouldn't, he couldn't. or would he.
with a final moan she felt him empty himself within her, this was her life now. just being used by colts that could over power her. she knew what it meant being "fertilised" especially at that time of the year for her. Emerald would kill her. No she wouldn't tell her there was a chance she wouldn't get pregnant, she'd take that chance.
she left the room shortly after all the other colts had left and ran home, hiding her tears.

He smiled at the thought. it would only be a matter of time.
Scootaloo looked around her, darkness. she had no idea what happened to her she could just remember she was about to tell her mum about what had been bothering her but then it all went black and she ended up here.
"Relax little one," spoke a Royal voice. "You are not alone in this realm."
"Where are we?" Asked a concerned Scootaloo.
"The realm of nightmares, not even Celestia knows about this place. It harbours all the unpleasant dreams and thaughts that ponys have." Luna lowered herself down to eye level with Scootaloo. "Why are you scared my dear?"
"I'm scared Rainbow will get rid of me if I tell her what's wrong." Scootaloo's voice was not much louder than a whisper but Luna heard everything.
"Why would you say that? She loves you, does she not?" Scootaloo looked lost in thaught, so much so she didn't notice when the blackness turn to a school corridor.
Upon realising the scene had changed she spoke up. "Luna why are we in Ponyville high?"
"We are not, we're in rainbows nightmare, look." She gestured towards the rainbow maned figure staring into a room. Both Luna and Scootaloo made there way over to see what was within the room.
Within the small classroom was a Colt not much younger than Scootaloo seemingly hitting something repeatedly. Luna opened the door for scoots to enter and what she saw broke her heart. It was her, she was being hit by her son who looked the spitting image of Fierce.
"Shit the buck up mom, your just as weak as dad said you were. Hahaha. Your pathetic!" With that the Colt walked off leaving a fully grown orange Pegasus with a single wing on the floor shaking.
"What is this Luna!" Scootaloo was panicking now, why was she being shown this.
"I've told you, rainbows nightmare. She's scared for you, she has the same worries as you do," the princess spoke softy. "Scootaloo look at me!"
A bit taken back by the force in the speech she turned to the princess of the night. "Y.. Yes Luna?"
"Look over to Rainbow what do you see?"
"A friend, someone I trust beyond anything and... And."
"And what?"
"A mum!" Scootaloo's ears picked up. "A mum. She's my mum and I love her so so much." Tears falling without care landed on the floor.
"What I've just shown you want a dream. It was reality! What would happen if you didn't tell Rainbow how you felt and let her know what was bothering you."
"Th... Thank you Luna." Scootaloo smiled at the alicorn before hugging her tightly.
"You are welcome little one,now go tell her!"
"I will!"
"Good, until next time, Scoots." She smiled at the use of the nickname and sent her back to the land of the awoken.
She woke up on her cloud bed with a damp cloth on her head.
Instantly knowing what she must do she got out of bed and headed towards Rainbowdashs room, knowing she would be in there seeing as it was now dark out.
Upon entering the room she found her mother crying into her pillow. She hesitated, she needed to tell her, but not yet maybe tomorrow but for now she needed her mum and she needed her daughter.
With little effort she rounded the bed and got under the covers and in her mothers grasp.
Opening one eye she saw a tuft of purple in her face. She smiled knowing who it was and held her close. "I was so scared for you scoots."
"I know Rainbow, I know" she smiled as she settled into her Pegasus pillow for the night and felt a kiss of her forehead.
"Night scoots, I love you."
"I love you too mum." Rainbow had heard her call her that lots in the past few months but this one felt different. It felt genuine, like she was her birth mother, she loved it.
Both Pegasi entered a sleep, one dreaming of her daughter and the other of a white marshmallow with a purple mane.
Sweetie belle walked over to her bed in the spare room of carousel boutique. She liked it in Ponyville she had the best friends anyone could aske for, her sister and had personally met the princesses.
But she was still missing one thing she knew she wanted, Love.
She had planed to confess to her crush but that was over 7 months ago and she couldn't now she was too paronoid about being in a relationship after what happened, and it would be years before she would be ready again, if not ever.
Sweetie laid down in bed and shut her eyes, dreaming of her special somepony.
"She's more like you than to think sweetie," spoke the mysterious voice of the night.
