Earth – The Road to Raleigh
The RV thundered down the ruined highway, heading deeper into North Carolina. The sun hung low in the sky, casting eerie shadows over the empty wasteland.
Inside the RV, Danger Dan leaned against the counter, his helmet off, grinning at Trixie.
"So, Trix, I gotta ask… you ever met a stallion as devilishly handsome as me?"
Trixie smirked. "Handsome? Perhaps. Annoying? Absolutely."
Dan clutched his chest in fake pain. "Ouch, right in the heart."
Starlight giggled from her seat as Sam leaned in beside her.
"You know," Sam murmured, "if we ever make it outta this, you and me should get a drink. Just the two of us."
Starlight raised an eyebrow, smirking. "Are you flirting with me, Sam?"
Sam shrugged. "Hey, the world’s ending. Might as well shoot my shot."
Starlight playfully rolled her eyes. "You’re impossible."
Pops, chewing on a Snowball, chuckled from the driver’s seat. “Boy, I’ve seen some dumb things in my time, but y’all trying to flirt in the middle of the apocalypse? That takes the damn cake.”
Then—
Kenny’s empty dog bed suddenly shook.
The RV’s tires screeched as Pops slammed on the brakes.
Sam sat up. “What the hell was—?”
Then they saw it.
The Raleigh Horde
The remains of Raleigh stretched before them, but instead of a city—a tide of undead moved like an ocean of rotting bodies.
Thousands. Maybe tens of thousands.
And as the gang watched, the horde began to… change.
Bodies melted together, fusing into one horrific, towering monstrosity—a shifting abomination of limbs, heads, and screaming faces, standing nearly twenty stories tall.
Trixie’s face went pale. "Oh, buck that."
Dan, pulling on his helmet, growled, "Of course it’s another freak of nature."
Sam grabbed his rifle. "We need to MOVE!"
The Portal Opens
Inside the RV, the enchanted mirror shimmered violently.
Back in Equestria, Twilight and Celestia had been studying the mirror, trying to find a way through.
Then—
The mirror shook violently, reacting to the monster’s energy.
Celestia’s eyes narrowed. "Now!"
The mirror ripped open, and before anyone could stop her—
Celestia leapt through.
Twilight followed seconds later.
Celestia Joins the Battle
The portal exploded open just outside the RV, and through it, Princess Celestia descended—her wings spread, her golden armor shimmering in the dying light.
Twilight followed, horn charged with magic, her eyes blazing with determination.
Pops blinked. “Well, hell, look who decided to drop in.”
Dan grinned under his helmet. "Okay. Now this is getting interesting."
Celestia took one look at the abomination and unleashed a blast of solar fire, scorching its fused flesh. The beast reeled, but it didn’t fall.
Twilight launched arcane bolts, blasting limbs and heads from its body.
Sam and Dan opened fire, unloading every round they had into the monster’s mass.
Pops grabbed his grenade launcher. "Alright, ya ugly son of a—"
*BOOM!*
A grenade tore through the monster’s side—but it KEPT REGENERATING.
Sam cursed. “We’re not making a dent!”
Celestia gritted her teeth. "Then we hit it harder!"
The Final Stand
The monster roared, swinging a colossal arm of fused bodies. The team dove for cover, barely avoiding getting flattened.
Dan, panting, adjusted his flamethrower. "We need more fire."
Celestia took to the sky, gathering sunfire into her horn. “Then let’s give it some!”
With a mighty flap of her wings, she unleashed a massive beam of solar energy, incinerating chunks of the monster’s body.
But it kept moving.
Twilight turned to Sam. "Do you have explosives?!"
Sam nodded. "Dynamite, but not enough!"
Pops grabbed the last of their grenades. “Gotta hit it all at once. One last push.”
Dan gritted his teeth, then turned to Celestia. "Can you superheat the explosion?"
Celestia nodded. "Yes, but I’ll need a clear shot!"
Sam, reloading, growled, "Then let’s MAKE one."
The Plan
Dan and Pops ran forward, drawing the monster’s attention.
Starlight and Trixie blasted the ground beneath it, forcing it to stumble.
Sam tossed every explosive they had, sticking them to its core.
Celestia’s horn glowed like the sun itself.
"NOW!"
Celestia fired a solar beam—igniting the entire mass of explosives.
*BOOM.*
A MASSIVE FIREBALL erupted, the shockwave leveling half the ruined city.
The monster howled one last time—before collapsing into burning sludge.
Silence.
Then—
Pops coughed. “…Damn. That was some good work.”
Dan, panting, chuckled. "Think that did it?"
Sam collapsed onto the RV’s hood. “If that thing gets back up, I’m quitting life.”
Twilight, shaking, looked at Celestia. “Is it over?”
Celestia exhaled, surveying the burning ruins. “For now.”
Trixie, still catching her breath, muttered, "I hate this world."
Pops patted her shoulder. “Kid, join the club.”
Aftermath
The team regrouped, patching wounds and taking a long, exhausted breath.
Celestia looked at Sam, then at Dan, then at the destroyed city.
"We need to talk," she said firmly.
Sam wiped sweat from his brow. "Yeah, I figured."
Dan removed his helmet, sighing. "Well, at least it wasn’t another cult."
Pops grinned. "Hell, give it time."
As the flames burned behind them, the gang finally took a moment to breathe.
But they knew one thing for certain—
The worst was still ahead.
Next stop:
And Florida loomed closer.
Meanwhile, in Equestria…
The mirror shimmered, showing Twilight, Celestia, and the survivors standing amidst the wreckage.
Rainbow Dash pumped her hoof. “DID YOU SEE THAT?! CELESTIA WAS A TOTAL BADASS!”
Rarity fainted. "That thing was horrifying!"
Applejack adjusted her hat. “Looks like they got some new allies.”
Fluttershy wiped tears from her eyes. "I just hope they’re all okay…"
Pinkie grinned. “Oh, don’t worry! I bet they’ll be fine! Right?”
The mirror flickered.
And for the first time—
It didn’t show what happened next.
