Bored Rainbow Dash is Bored

Rainbow Dash found herself in an office cubicle. "Oh, shit. Now even my dreams are starting to get boring!" She sighed. "Might as well make the best of it." She spun around in her chair. "Wheeee." she said in a deadpan tone, clearly not amused. Maybe if I bang my head on this desk hard enough, I'll either be transported to a better dream, or I'll wake up with a headache. Rainbow paused for a moment, weighing the options and consequences. She shrugged. "Worth the risk." She leaned back as far as her chair would let her without landing flat on her back, counted to three, then thrust her head forward with all of her might.

Rainbow Dash's phone went off, abruptly waking her from her slumber. "Fuck!" she shouted as she was startled awake, nearly leaping out of bed and falling on her bedroom floor. I really need to lower the volume on my phone before I go to bed. Half-awake, she answered her phone. "Hello?"

"Hello. This is a pre-recorded message about your car insuran-" Rainbow hung up. "Fucking robo-calls. How would they like it if I called them? Hmph." Rainbow Dash checked her phone. "It's still this early?" She sighed. "Well, at least I can take a nap later." She went downstairs to the basement and turned on the television. Suddenly, she realized the mistake she made, only a split-second too late. Before she could cover her ears, the television was fully started.

"-have been receiving reports about suspicious charact-"

"Son of a bitch!" Rainbow said as she turned down the volume. "Argh! This is ridiculous!" Frustrated, Rainbow Dash went back upstairs to her room. She sighed, and played a tune on her guitar to calm herself down. "Ahhh. Much better." she said as she finished playing her tune. "Time for a nap!" she settled back into bed.

About an hour later, her phone buzzed. "Dammit, it better not be another fucking robo-call!" she said, feeling her frustration rise again.

Goodness! I know she had a busy day at work, but I didn't think she'd be that worn down.- Sent by Fluttershy

Rainbow Dash grumbled.

Well, at least this is worth being woken up from a nap.- Sent by Rainbow Dash

And as long as I'm awake, it gives me something to do, she thought.

Rainbow rolled her eyes and blushed.

"Well, fuck napping then." she said as she texted details between her friends, setting a schedule for who would visit Sunset and when.

After everything was set, Rainbow Dash sighed. Okay, so I'm second-to-last. How did that happen? "Now I've got nothing to do for hours...I knew I should've signed up for that jump-rope competition! What am I supposed to now?" Suddenly, Rainbow Dash had an idea.

"Dammit, Pinkie!" shouted Rainbow. "I'm gonna climb the fucking walls at this rate!" she said as she slapped her hand against her forehead. "Okay, Rainbow. Think. What can you do to kill time that you haven't done before?" she thought aloud. "I've already read every Daring Do book made so far and memorized them cover to cover..." she snapped her finger. "Of course!" she ran upstairs and played one of her secret tunes to kill some time. Finished, she took a shower and changed into her day clothes. I should have done that sooner, she thought.

Rainbow's phone buzzed.

I'm afraid she's feeling worse, dears. She had a dizzy spell and is burning up, but she's getting the rest she needs. - Sent by Rarity

Rainbow sighed. Maybe I should get sick, It'd make the day go faster.

Well, that sucks.- Sent by Rainbow Dash

At least for now I can offer moral support. Rainbow thought. "But I'm still slowly going crazy! I can't just fly off, I don't want to overpower our geodes...You know what? Screw it." Rainbow Dash went back downstairs and turned on the TV.

"Suspects appear to be wearing-"

She then switched to her console and decided to play a local tournament.

"Rainbow Dash...that's not Sunny Flare's game handle." said Lemon Zest, a tone of shock, awe, and fear in her voice.

"What?" said Rainbow Dash. "But if she's not Sunny Flare, then who-"

"Oh, Rainbow Dash." said an immediately familiar voice.

Rainbow Dash gulped and felt a chill down her spine.

"CPA doesn't stand for Crystal Prep Academy...It stands for Celestia Pwns All!"
