A Little Pony Legend: A New Friend

The next morning, Crystal was all clean and set for her first day of high school. She was warring a pink shirt with blue stripes and she was wearing jeans and purple sneakers.

Crystal exited the castle and saw her new friends. “Hey Crystal, you ready for your first day of school?” Chi asked.

“I-I guess so.” Crystal replied. Hiro patted her on the back gently, “Don't worry we won’t let anything happen to you.” Hiro reassured.

Jewel smiled a little and the eight friends went off to Harmony High, a school where all kinds of creatures and benders come to master their skills.

They all entered their bending and magic class. The teachers was a middle-aged man with short, black hair and he looked really intimidating. He wore a police-like outfit.

“Alright students today we have a new student joinin is today. Everybody please welcome, Crystal Diamond.”

Crystal just waved her hand shyly and kept her head down. “Now we will begin the day with sparring practice.”

The teacher paired Mai with Hiro, Akari with Iris Chi with Gallent Seed and Nori was paired up with a another water bender.

“Crystal, you will be paired with Raksha.” the teacher said. Everybody in the room gasped in horror. “W-Who’s Raksha?” Crystal stuttered.

“She’s the meanest and strongest air bender in the whole school.” Chi replied. Crystal looked around and saw quickly found Raksha. She was dressed like a gangster with a bandana around her head, a leather jacket and pants and all black sneakers.

Raksha layed her eyes on Crystal. “Ahhh, another opponent, huh?” she said. “Let’s see if you’re a challenge unlike my last partner.”

Crystal just gulped and her legs shook furiously. “Let’s get this over with.” Raksha said as she charge forth.

Meanwhile, Crystal friends had finished their sparring practice and were busy praising each other when they heard a grunt. Turning they saw Crystal and Raksha sparring and Crystal losing badly. She kept dodging all of Rakshas’ attacks and trying to keep her distance from her. “What’s wrong? Scared?” Raksha taunted.

Crystal recived another punch from Raksha, sending her to the ground. Raksha then used her air bending and made a tornado that lifted Crystal into the air. She then slammed it hard onto the ground and Crystal was just lying there.

“Crystal!” Iris cried.

Raksha walked right in front of Crystal, who struggled to get up again but she was too injured to do so. “Pathetic.” That was the last thing Crystal heard before everything went black.

Crystal’seye fluttered open and she was greeted by seven blurs in front of her. “I think she’s coming too.” One blur said.

When her’ vision cleared, she saw Iris and her friends at her bedside. “Guys?” she whispered.

“Easy Crystal, you’re still injured.” Gallent said.

“What happened?” Crystal asked.

“You got your butt kicked by Raksha in front of the whole class.” Hiro said bluntly earning a hit on the head by his sister.

“You’re in the nurses’ office now.” Nori said. “You just need some time recover and you’ll be fine.”

Crystal had a miserable look on her face. She suddenly got up and she headed towards the door. “Crystal! Where are you going?” Chi asked.

Crystal picked up her backpack and said in a defeated voice.

“Home.” She then exited the nurses’ office and the school and went back to Iris’ Castle.

When they friends returned to Iris’s home they were greeted by their folks. “Children what happened?” Leilani asked.

“Yeah. Crystal just walked in her looking really really sad and she just went into her room.” Rainbow added.

“She got beat up by Raksha in class and it.... like it just destroyed her spirit.” Iris said. “She looked so miserable.”

“Can we see her?” Nori asked.

“Yes.” Celestia replied. The seven friends went into Crystals’ bedroom and Nori slowly opened the door. “Crystal, are you okay?” Gallent aske gently. The room wasn’t pitch black except for the little candlelight on her night stand. Crystals’ creature friends were on her bed looking at her sadly.

“Litleo.”

“Shinx.”

The two pokémon turned and saw the friends. Iris and Akari day on the bed. “Crystal, do you wanna talk about this?” Akari asked.

Crystal just looked at her friends and shook her head. “Crystal, we know your distressed about this, but you can’t just quit after the first try.” Iris said.

“Why not?” Crystal asked in a emotionless voice.

“Cause if you quit, you’ll never be able to improve yourself.” Akari replied. Crystal stayed silent for a momen and asked, “You really think I can improve myself?”

Iris and Akari nodded. “Well... I guess I could give it a try.”

Iris and Akari smiled and Litleo and Shinx leaped into Crystals’ arms, nuzzling her happily. Crystal laughed.

Soon, the three came out of the room and the family was happy to see Crystal smiling again. “Mom, Dad, can you help Crystal with her magic?” Akari asked.

“Rainbow can you help Crystal with her flying?” Iris asked.

“Of course, honey.” Korra stated.

“You bet!” Rainbow said.

Soon, everybody was in the front of Thebes castle. “Alright Crystal, first we will start you off with some levitation, a basic skill every unicorn and alicorn knows.” Twilight stated.

Flash placed a baseball in front of Crystal. “Now concentrate and left the ball into the air.” he said.

Crystal narrowed her eyes and concentrated on the ball. A faint pink magic aura covered her horn and the ball. It began to levitate in the air but it suddenly dropped to the ground and the magic aura vanished.

“Oh.” Crystal said sadly.

Korra and Twilight came to her side. “It’s okya, Crystal.” Korra reassured. “You just need more time.” Twilight added. Crystal smiled a little at the two.

Suddenly...

BOOM! A loud explosion occurred in Harmony City! “What was that?!” Mako asked.

“I don’t know, but it can’t be good.” Korra replied. The gang raced to city hall and saw the problem; a large creature was wrecking the place! It stood on four legs with a large frills cover in horns and it had a horn nose and its skin was green and yellow.

“What is that thing?” Hiro asked.

“A Styracosaurus!” Crystal replied.

“A What?” Iris asked.

“A Styracosaurus, it’s a dinosaur that lived in the Mesozoic Era.” Crystal replied. The dinosaur roared and continuously stomped the ground. The people ran away in fear.

Crystal took a good look at the dinosaur and noticed that it’s eyes were red instead of yellow!

Crystal slowly began walking towards the dinosaur. “Crystal! What are you doing!” Iris cried.

“Don’t go near it!” Korra added. “It’s dangerous!”

The Styracosaurus noticed Crystal walking toward sit and it growled, pointing it’s 2 feet long horn at her. “Easy girl, easy.” Crystal soothed. “I’m not going to hurt you. I just want to help.”

The Styracosaurus growled softly and it looked to be calming down. “That’s it girl.” Crystal said.

She placed a hand on the dinosaurs’ nose horn and just then her eye ya turned white as well as he dinossurs’! “What’s going on!” Mai asked.

Then they saw a dark smoke coming out from the dinosaur and into the eh air and then Crystal's horn glowed and it blasted the smoke, causing it to evaporate!

“Incredible!” Leilani cried. When it was done, Crystal and the dinosaurs’ eyes returned to normal. Crystal was a little woozy but that went away when the Styracosaurus licked her face. “Hahaha! Aww, your welcome.” Crystal said.

Crystal turned around and saw the shocked expressions of everybody around her. “Ummm.... hi.” she said with a nervous smile.

Everybody went back to the palace... well the dinosaur stayed outside and just looked through a window.

“Okay so… what just happened?!” Mako asked.

“Crystal walked up to the dinosaur, touched it and remove the evil from it. Weren’t you paying attention?” Pinkie asked. Mako gave her a straight look.

“In order to do something like that, Crystal must have powerful magic.” Luna replied.

“But her magic must be different from ours.” Korra added.

“I believe I can explain.” Everybody turned around and saw Tenzin standing there. “When did you get in here?!” Hiro asked.

Tenzin chuckled. “Another one of my tricks.” he said.

“Tenzin, do you know something about Crystals’ magic?” Iris asked.

“I do.” he said. “Crystal’s magic is far more powerful than your alicorn magic. Crystal has Animal Magic.”

“What’s Animal Magic?” Nori asked.

“Animal Magic, is a very rare and powerful type of magic that allows the user to control and summon all kinds of animals.” Tenin explained. “And when she bends, the elements she uses changes into an animal that lives in the same environmental element.”

“Like these two and the dinosaur?” Rainbow asked, referring to Litleo, Shinx and Styracosaurus.

“Them and many more animals.” Tenzin replied.

A moment of silence fell. “Old timer say what?” Akari said. Everybody was amazed and shocked. “Sounds like she’s a very special alicorn.” Iris commented. Crystal blushed.

“But beware, with powerful magic like that you can bet someone may try to take it away from you.” Tenzin warned.

“Don’t worry, we won’t let anything happen to her.” Mai promised. The others nodded as well.

“Well, ow that that’s settled how about some more magic-“ Korra started but was cut off by Rainbow Dash.

“-and flight-“ she said.

“-training?” Korra replied. Crystal nodded her head.

That afternoon, Twilight and the rest of the gang were once agin in front of the castle. Styracosaurus was there too. “Now try it again Crystal.”

Crystal concentrated and a pink aura cane around her horn again and the ball. The baseball lifted into the air and stayed there! “Alright Crystal!” Hiro cried.

“Yeah.” Gallent added. Crystal levitated the ball over to Twilight. “Great, now lets work on transfiguration spells.” Twilight stated. Crystal tilted her head to the side. “What’s transfiguration?” she asked.

“It’s when you use your magic and turn on object into something else.” Iris explained.

“Okay.”

Twilight place three cups in front of Crystal. “Now turn these cups into something else.” Twilight said. Crystal concentrated and her horn glowed pink and blaste one of the cups turning into a..... puppy!

“PUPPY!” Gallent squealed. He raced over to the puppy and picked up. “You are so cute.” he cooed. The puppy barked and licked his face,making him laugh. “Impressive!” Korra said with a proud smile.

Crystal smiled and blushed. “Now do it two more times.” Twilight ordered. Crystal blasted the other two cups turning them into a kitten and a cat.

“Awesome!” Hiro said.

“Wicked!” Chi added.

“Gorgeous!” Nori added.

“Excellent work!” Korra said walking over to the two. “Your a fast learner, Crystal.” she praised. Crystal giggled. “Thank you.”

“Now let’s work on your flight practice.” Rainbow said. But just befor they could start, a black blur rushed through the scene and grabbed Crystal!

“AAAAAHHHHHH!” she screamed in total fear.

“Crystal!” Iris cried out.

“After it!” Mako said. Everybody, including Styracosaurus, chased after the creature. The creature took Jewel a forest near the palace. Once it was far from civilization, it dropped Crystal onto the ground and spit green goop onto her hand and horn. Crystal shuddered nervously. “I have her my Queen.” the creature said.

“Excellent.” a sinister voice said behind Crystal. Crystal looked behind her and saw a humanoid incest-like pony with a long horn and holes in her legs. “W-Who are you?” Crystal squeaked.

“Why little pony. I’m Queen Chrysalis, queen of the changeling wolves.” she replied.

“What are g-gonna do with me?” Crystal asked in fear.

“Oh, nothing. I’m just going to steal your magic and use it for myself.” she replied. Crystal gulped nervously. Chrysalis chuckled softly as she lit her horn but before she could perform the spell. A blast of fire came in between her and Crystal, forcing her back.

The changeling wolf growled at who did it. They saw the gang with Litleo, Shinx and Styracosaurus in the front. “Leave our friend alone, Chrysalis!” Korra yelled.

“Guys!” Crystal cried in relief.

“Don’t worry Crystal, we’ll save you!” Iris called.

Chrysalis scoffed, “If you want the alicorn you’ll have to defeat my wolves first.” she said.

“Litleo!”

“Shinx!” Litleo and Shinx took the challenge headbon, and raced to their owner. The changeling wolf lunged at them but Litleo unleashed Flamethrower and blasted the wolf far away. Shinx used Bite and bit right through the goop, setting Crystal free.

Korra and Mako shortly fought with Chrysalis and she ran away. “I’LL GET THAT ALICORN IF IT’S THE LAST THING I DO!” She bellowed as she flew off into the forest. When she was gone, everybody went to check on Crystal. “Crystal, darling, are you okay?” Rairty asked.

Crystal, terribly frightened by the incident, suddenly burst into tears. Iris and her friends hugged Crystal and her pokémon nuzzled her for comfort. The Styracosaurus did the same. “Shhh.... it’s okay Crystal, we’re here. We got you.” Hiro soothed. Crystal just continued crying heavily from the experience.

Hours later, Crystal was sleeping in her bed with Litleo and a Shinx watching over her. She cried herself to sleep and the others were in the main room discussing what happened.

“What do you think that bug queen wants with Crystal’s magic?” Bolin asked.

“Porobably sonething no good.” Asami replied.

“Indeed. What ever Chrysalis wants to do with Crystal’s magic, it is it good and may have disastrous consequences.” Leilani said.

“So we have to protect Crystal from that big. Easy peasy.” Chi replied.

“I’m afraid that’s where you’re wrong Chi.” Nova said. “Chrysalis is very sneaky and she will do anything to get Crystals’ magic.”

Everybody agreed to that. “So what do we do?” Iris asked, feeling worried about her friend.

“We will have to keep a vigilante for Chrysalis while we help Crystals’ learn and grow, magic and social wise.” Luna replied. Everybody nodded bowed to protect Crystal with everything they’ve got.
