Lyra was overjoyed to discover that her favorite interest, humans, were actually real. However, ponies aren't just allowed to travel through the portal and go and visit them. So Lyra decided to make one out of the materials she had on hoof and save herself the trouble of breaking into the Castle of Friendship. If only the ponies she selected for such an honor were a bit more cooperative.
