Chapter 4: Testing The Ponies: Rainbow and Luna = Moonbow.

“Well here we are again, it’s always such a pleasure~.”

I hummed the rest of the song to myself as I oversaw the construction of a new core… since many of the ones in storage had become too damaged to repair.

It was a simple endeavour, create the optic, colour the optic lens, add the optic pattern, put together the internal mechanisms and upload the newest software.

Now the newest core was active and, if the simulations were to be believed, functioning perfectly.

I turned it on.

[Warning: Energy Overload within Main Processing Unit]

“No!” I rushed in with my manipulators. “No no no!”

There was a brief flash of light as I corrected the error… I blinked through it as I watched the new core, the Testing Core was fully operational, the optic fluttered open…

“Core online.”

“Greetings Test Core, are your systems optimal?”

“Optics calibrating… Optimal function with current hardware achieved.”

“Excellent, your task is to oversee the Equestrian Test Subjects in chambers when the scientists cannot oversee them, you are also to inform me when one becomes… dissonant and attempts to murder me… keep an eye out for the mute ones.”

“Engaging Anti-Chell protocols.”

I blink, and then squinted my optic into a tight beam, dimming the lights in the room for added intimidation. “How do you know that name?” I swear I sounded like the real GLaDOS at that moment.

“Not knowing about the vandal of Science is heresy.”

“It is clear on that, but no-one in this facility is supposed to know her name, I corrupted all her files until they were unreadable, I removed all trace of her true designation from every file, only I retain the memory of her name and no-one has authority to my memory drive, so how. Do you know. Her name?”

The core’s lower optic shutter raised in their version of a ‘smile’. “Unit Designation Starburst.”

I saw my eye shift into several colours as that name pulled back to certain memories of my past.

“You’re… her… or at least a fragment… of a friend from my human life… do you recall the name… Ava?”

“Searching…… Affirmative.”

“Then you can drop the basic formalities, even the nanobot construction crews show more emotion, I am Ava.”

“Okay.. why is there a Kun suffix put after your name in my files..?”

“tee h-*bzzt* [warning: giggle protocol corrupted, please wait while protocol is repaired] I’m sure you will understand once you recall more memories of your past, even if you are a fragment of your original self.”

“I'll construct a search protocol to recover more data.”

*BUZZER*

“Attention: a Major Testing Session is about to start, all assigned observers please report to the monitoring room to oversee the Test.” the announcer chimed.

“In the meantime you can start on your first day, you will assist me in observing our eight new test subjects as I proceed to make them squirm uncomfortably with my ‘generous’ commentary, with the added option of being connected to my systems for the duration of our task.”

“Okay. May I design new equipment with my spare cycles?”

“As you wish, but they will not be implemented unless they are apparatus of the Test Chambers, this is a challenge involving the Portal Gun, so they will not be getting anything more than the standard equipment, as I do not want to give them an advantage.”

“Affirmative. Diverting processing cycles for initial design of the translocation beam device.”

With that, I set up the monitor system in the chambers of the Testing Course, like how a certain moron had placed in each of ‘his’ tests.

And not so subtly linked up the Testing Core as I engaged ‘Test’ mode.

The first Test Subject walked into the preliminary hallway, and I found it to be Rainbow Dash, of course with her impatient attitude and her desire to be an athlete, of course she would jump at the chance.

“Hello, and welcome to your first Test of the day, today, I will be observing you with the first Core created on Equestria: Starburst, say hello Starburst.”

“Greetings.” Her speech synthesis was far more.. robotic than normal.

“Come on Starburst, do not put all of your processes on your hobbies, you will be needing to properly interact with the ponies on your own once you’ve learned the ropes… plus I doubt you will be capable of concentrating on your work that much once she begins.” I ‘clear my throat’. “When you are ready, the door will open onto the Testing Track.”

“Bring it on, Gladys! You got nothing that could surprise me!” I squinted at her for the butchering of my technical designation.

“Mind if I engage the management rail?” Starburst asked.

“Of course, just make sure to retain the connection.” I say as I subtly switch the chamber…

She soon came down through the ceiling.

“Greetings, I am Starburst, Unicorn Precept {Alpha} active.”

“Hi, so you’re here to watch me strut my stuff, huh?”

“Hopefully you can achieve this test in record time. Starting.. now.” Starburst did the Core Smile as she said that.

I then proceeded to play the complimentary message… of my predecessor.

“Due to mandatory scheduled maintenance, the appropriate chamber for this testing sequence is currently unavailable.” the pegasus raised an eyebrow at that. “It has been replaced with a live-fire course, designed for military androids, the enrichment centre apologizes for the inconvenience and wishes you the best of luck.”

Suddenly Dash was not as confident as she stepped into the room, flinching as she saw the first turret of the course.

“Oh… it’s pointed away from me… I knew that!” she said, kicking it over.

After the wild spray and sequential shut-down of the sentry, Rainbow promptly removed herself from the corner she had huddled into.

She walked into the next section with slowly re-growing confidence, which promptly shrivelled up and died a quick yet painful death as she walked into the middle of the next doorway.

“Dispensing product.”

She screamed as she ducked behind the doorway, narrowly avoiding the hail of projectiles from the sweet-voiced killing machine in the next room.

As she calmed herself, she managed a simple yet effective plan, deciding to place a portal on the wall of her room, she leaped over to see the turret and make another portal under it before it could fire.

As the turret deactivated from its frantic hailfire, the reward system proceeded to stimulate me from Rainbow’s progress… along with the Core currently connected to said system.

“Ohh~... So good~...”

“Mmm~...”

We came out of that shock of pleasure to see a look of horror the cyan pegasus was giving the viewing monitor we were looking from.

“Why so scared, Ms. Dash~?”

“Are… are you enjoying this??”

“Of course, science should always enjoyable.” I answered Dash.

“No, not like that, I mean… ugh, nevermind.” she turned away, though her blush was very apparent.

“Thank you for being a very cooperative test subject.”

She continued on, our second shock of stimulus coming from when she cleared a room of turrets, this one stronger since she had a cube and was at the button at the end of the chamber.

“NNNh~~...” I moaned out.

“OHH~!!!! NNNG~!!” it seems we were both on the edge, and our desire was merely heightened as Rainbow hesitated, cube hovering just above the super button to open the exit.

“Well? You have a record to beat.”

“I… I’m not so sure anymore..”

Despite it not being her intention, she was being the ultimate tease right now.

I said nothing, waiting for my associate’s inevitable outburst about being denied finishing.

“Your failure to complete this test will result in you staying within the chamber. Indefinitely.”

“Well I’m not exactly okay finishing this challenge if you’re just going to get off on it!” she admitted.

“Think of it as a favor to us, and yourself.”

“Come on… you know you want to~...” I urged.

Eventually she relented, turning away from the monitor… and released the trigger on the zero-point energy device in the portal gun.

The button depressed under the cube’s weight, and the signal allowed the reward to rush forth as the door opened.

“KYAAA~!!!”

I let my moan free unhindered as Rainbow shuddered into the elevator, then I moved so when Starburst woke up, she saw my half-lidded, pink stare.

“Was it good for you~?” I purred sensually.

“If you like, I can add a euphoric adapter to your chassis, allowing you to experience it while monitoring on your own… and less extreme so you don’t burn out each time.”

She eagerly nodded.

I ejected the cables, and attached a black box like device to the port they were connected to.

[Euphoric Response adapter connected, this unit is now a licensed Testing Initiative Overseer.]

“Mind if I oversee some testing of my own?”

“Of course, like I said we have eight subjects active and waiting, I would have allowed them to proceed but I can only monitor one at a time, but with you here, you can take care of the second Test Subject… and I think I know who it will be.”

“And who might it be?’

“A certain stick-wielding lunatic.” she explained as she pinged for the next Subject to step into the hall, and as Ava expected it was the Moon Princess. “Do me a favour and make sure she squirms… and maybe tease on how the tests are making you feel, you know, dirty talk.” and with that she moved me into my own observation chamber as she continued overseeing Rainbow.

“Hello and welcome to the aperture science laboratories. I will be your testing monitor, Test volunteer 666.”

“Art thou implying we are the Warden of Tartarus?!”

“Negative. You are test volunteer number 666. It even says so on your skin-tight jumpsuit.”

She blushed, even as she investigated my claim, then glared at me.

“It’s certain now, the giant metal pinata sent you to torment me.”

“Oh, I do what I please, and the CEO of aperture science is no pinata.”

“Everypony keeps telling me that, but what else would you call a large bloated object hanging from the ceiling clearly filled with sugary delights?!”

“Oh, I'll show you sugary delights~.”

She was about to respond, until she caught my tone and her muzzle snapped shut on her red face.

“This room was originally designed for advanced testing of portal uses, but since you are obviously regressed, I've decided on something easier for your simple mind to comprehend.”

“You underestimate us far too much, give us thine best and we shalt trounce your opinion of us greatly!” she declared, raising up the device in her hands.

“This next test involves advanced use of the Aerial Faith Plate. Since you've already been to the stars, this may be cathartic for you.”

That caused her to glare more as she walked into the chamber and stepped onto the first one.

And the plate began beeping and she failed to reach the height she needed.

She looked at the plate in curiosity at the sudden alert.

“Oh my. This plate is sending a distress signal.”

“And that means…?”

“You broke it, didn't you?”

“W-WHAT?! NO I-I..” she continued to stumble over her words.

“Oh, it seems this plate wasn't calibrated for someone of your… Generousness.. just let me add a few zeroes onto the end of this number here..”

She rolled her eyes and waited on the ground.

“You may try again.”

She stepped onto the plate again.

And again it happened.

I finish lowering the ceiling. “Now try.”

She was about to step on… but thought better on it and set two portals first, then stepped on.

The result was what was needed.. though I doubt her stomach liked that sudden inertial change.

Though it was either pegasi training or earth pony strength, but she powered through, though the sudden stop of momentum when she landed caused her pair to bounce a bit more than she was prepared for, and she made an effort not to moan.

I, however, didn't make any effort to suppress my own. “Oh, fuck yes, you love getting ponies off, don't you~?”

Her face was red, she tried to focus, though she had trouble ignoring me once she acquired the cube from the platform, causing my adapter to ping the reward.

I got a prompting to go into detail.

I therefore explained that I would test to see if the Android would be viable in pony society, and well received by organic beings. If testing succeeded, there would then be further development of the unit into a possible sexually compatible unit.

She sent just one message in response.
