Harmony isn't pure chaos. Harmony isn't pure order. Harmony is directly in the middle. When Discord finds out that somepony from his long distant past, even before the three tribes united, is still alive and kicking, he reveals some very painful memories, and even sheds his physical form to do what he was meant to do all those eons ago.

It's a shame then, that chaos is fair, while order is not.
